Francisco Transit Withholds Surveillance Tapes To Avoid Creating Racial 'Stereotypes'. The Bay Area Rapid
Transit (BART) system in San Francisco and Oakland has been withholding video evidence of crimes committed on trains and at
stations perpetrated by groups of teenagers, it has been revealed. According to CBS Local, dozens of teenagers
committed large-scale acts of robbery and assaults in the months of April and June. In April, "forty to sixty"
teenagers boarded a train at Coliseum stop, where they proceeded to rob seven passengers and beat up two. In June, four
teens assaulted a passenger and stole his cellphone. Just two days later, about a dozen teens snatched the phone of a
woman on a train. In each of these cases, BART has refused to publish surveillance footage, citing fears that the
videos could create negative racial perceptions.

Stereotypes don't jus appear out of nowhere -- especially when the stereotype is just a description of the perpetrators.
Riley's False Black Power published today. Jason Riley of the Manhattan Institute, whom you may
recognize as a frequent panelist on Fox News's Special Report, has written an elegant short book that makes a powerful
case on the solution to race relations in the United States. As the title indicates, Riley believes that America's
African-American community has been badly served by the emphasis on achieving political power as a means to advance.
Second Secession & America's New Civil War. The idea that creates the identity "American" is summarized in America's official motto:
e pluribus unum — out of many, one. It took a Civil War and two hundred years of sacrifice and struggle to achieve a polity that
approached this ideal. If one political faction is now able to redefine the ideal to conform to its own sectarian beliefs, the country we have
known will cease to exist. But that is just what the current creed of the Democratic Party — "identity politics" — entails, and is why
the current divisions in our political life seem so intractable. Identity politics is, in fact, the antithesis of the American idea. It is a
reversion to tribal loyalties. It regards diverse origins — colors, ethnicities, genders and classes — as primary, and proposes
a hierarchy of privilege based on them, which it justifies as a reversal of past oppressions.
I find the black community's response to Trump's election a little embarrassing. Just fifty years ago, our
people were bravely marching for our freedom while facing the threat of bombings, lynchings, and ruthless beatings. Are
we — predominantly middle-class blacks — now going to cower in fear of a few racial slurs? And
for those who think the latter a precursor to the former: the people making insensitive remarks in your workplace are not
the same people who would burn a cross on your lawn.
Thomas: Disappeared by the Smithsonian. The Smithsonian has opened a new National Museum of African
American History and Culture, a long overdue addition to its offerings. And in this version of African-American history
and culture, black conservatives do not exist. Specifically, the life and career of Supreme Court justice Clarence
Thomas have been — forgive the term — whitewashed from the record. Anita Hill, an obscure
functionary who achieved for herself a moment of fleeting fame when she advanced the interests of the Democratic party by
smearing Clarence Thomas with lurid, flimsily documented allegations of sexual harassment, is presented as a major figure of
the 20th century. The scholar and jurist who actually sits on the Supreme Court? Clarence Thomas is an invisible
man, so far as the Smithsonian is concerned.
I Chose Not To Have Children, Because They'd Be White. A white Ivy League professor has taken to the pages of
the Huffington Post to condemn her own race, declaring that she chose never to reproduce because her children would simply
inherit white privilege. Ali Michael, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania's (Penn) Graduate School of
Education, was prompted to write by the Rachel Dolezal saga, in which the head of Spokane's NAACP branch was revealed to be a
white woman who simply identifies as black and has assimilated into black culture. Dolezal's aspiration to forsake
whiteness and embrace a new race, Michael says, is actually a routine one among whites who are repulsed by the racism and
privilege they see all around them.
Thomas Is Conspicuously Absent In The New Black History Smithsonian. Justice Clarence Thomas, the second black
man to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, is practically absent from the new National Museum of African American History and
Culture. Anita Hill, the woman who accused Thomas of sexual harassment, however, is given prominent billing in the museum.
Responsibility Do Black Americans Have to Prevent Police Shootings? The job of the police is to deal with the
dangerous, deranged people that the rest of us would rather avoid. Because of that, a number of police officers are
going to kill people who pull out guns, attack them, act in a bizarre and dangerous way that makes them think they have a
weapon they are about to pull out, etc., etc., etc. Under perfect circumstances, even if everything is followed to the
letter of the law, the police are going to kill people every year. This is an unavoidable reality. Additionally,
it is also an unavoidable reality that some people from all races, including black Americans, are going to be killed by the police.

"racially insensitive remarks." School officials have honored requests by CSLA's Black Student Union and will offer
"housing space delegated for Black students" at the Halisi Scholars Black Living-Learning Community. CSLA spokesman
Robert Lopez told education watchdog the College Fix on Tuesday [9/6/2016] via email that its segregated housing will also
focus on "academic excellence and learning experiences that are inclusive and non-discriminatory."
The Ugly Truth
Of Leftist "Heroes". [Scroll down to Nelson Mandela] The reality: Most people assume this grandfatherly
teddy bear was a political prisoner; jailed only for protesting apartheid. Instead, he was a terrorist jailed for a
bomb plot, yet he's been bestowed a ridiculous number of honors including the Nobel Peace Prize and the Lenin Peace
Prize. Despite pleading guilty to 156 charges, the government later offered to free him if he renounced violence, but
this "man of peace" refused. Other than that, he was a closet Communist. After he assumed power, he fumbled the
ball on the AIDS issue, leaving South Africa with one of the world's worst infection rates. Also, beginning with his
administration, the New, Improved South Africa went from being an industrialized country to a crime-ridden Third World hellhole.
Lives Matter to be listed as hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center: 'Everything about it is racist'. The White
Lives Matter movement will be designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, the organization revealed Friday
[8/26/2016]. The white supremacist group will be listed in February on the center's Hate Map, a compilation of the country's
known hate groups and their chapters' locations. "I can't speak to how many chapters will be listed, but it's clear that the
leadership of the group, the ends of the group — it's just a flat out white supremacist group," Heidi Beirich, Director
of Intelligence Project at SPLC, said in an interview with the Houston Chronicle. "The ideology behind it, the racist leaders,
everything about it is racist," she added.

Substitute "black" for "white" in the article above and it gets closer to the truth.
Scientific Method Is Racist. The social justice warriors at Brown University are describing an "analysis tool"
that has come to be known as critical theory. When refined to address racial issues (primarily African-American), its
name is critical race theory (CRT). The theoretical framework of CRT was developed in the mid- to late 1980s to
better understand black oppression in the United States. Its major themes now include white privilege and micro-aggression.
It is taught in nearly every grievance department in the country (women's studies, African-American studies, Hispanic studies, and
ethnic studies). The white privilege theme was first introduced in a 1988 paper by Peggy McIntosh. Ms. McIntosh
suggested that issues involving Band-Aid color and free hotel shampoo, rather than education deficiencies and a breakdown in
the family structure, are impediments to black progress in America. Offshoots of CRT have been developed for other
secret history of the Democratic Party. [P]rogressives who are forced to acknowledge the Democratic Party's
pro-slavery history promptly respond, "We admit to being the party of slavery, and we did uphold the institution for more
than a century, but slavery ended in 1865, so all of this was such a long time ago. You can't blame us now for the
antebellum wrongs of the Democratic Party." Yes, but what about the postbellum crimes of the Democratic Party? From
Democratic support for slavery, let's turn to the party's complicity in segregation and the Ku Klux Klan. Democrats in
the 1880s invented segregation and Jim Crow laws that lasted through the 1960s. Democrats also came up with the
"separate but equal" rationale that justified segregation and pretended that it was for the benefit of African Americans.
The Ku Klux Klan was founded in 1866 in Pulaski, Tennessee by a group of former confederate soldiers; its first grand wizard
was a confederate general who was also a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. [...] Leading Democrats including
at least one president, two Supreme Court justices, and innumerable Senators and Congressmen were Klan members.
The last one, Robert Byrd, died in 2010 and was eulogized by President Obama and former President Bill Clinton.
a real conversation on race requires (no, we haven't had one yet). The past week demonstrated the futility and
perils of talking about race honestly, especially in public. Activists and politicians on both sides each have a
narrative that suits their interests. To them, a "national conversation on race" is simply an opportunity to deliver a
self-righteous lecture that elicits a mea culpa. That's not going to work.

mass shootings/bombings according to the Los Angeles Times list of "Deadliest U.S. Mass Shootings:" ["]Kamikaze
killers are aptly named, in that they are largely committed by foreign or non-traditional Americans. In the last ten years,
there have been 16 mass shootings/bombings by non-whites, primarily immigrants and/or muslims — most of which targeted
whites. There were 9 mass shooting by whites, only two of which were racially motivated. Contrary to the current
narrative, whites are significantly overrepresented as victims and underrepresented as perpetrators.["]
Holder: Fingerprinting Is Racist. Former Attorney General Eric Holder has come out against proposals in
Chicago and New Jersey to require fingerprint background checks of drivers for ride-hailing platforms such as Uber and
Lyft. Why would President Obama's onetime top lawman come out against regulation that is supposed to protect the riding
public? Credit the intersection of two forces. First, Holder's tony corporate law firm, Covington & Burling,
represents Uber. Also, as Holder sees it, requiring drivers to submit fingerprints may "have a discriminatory impact on
communities of color."
#BlackLivesMatter activists lie, people die. People die — make that, black people die —
and no one seems to care. Homicide statistics continue to climb, and none of the digital ink spilled between the

black teenagers' Google search sparks outrage. Google image searches for "three black teenagers" and "three
white teenagers" get very different results, raising troubling questions about how racial bias in society and the media is
reflected online. Kabir Alli, an 18-year-old graduating senior from Clover Hill High School in Midlothian, Va., posted
a video clip on Twitter this week of a Google image search for "three black teenagers" which turned up an array of police
mugshots. He and friends then searched for "three white teenagers," and found groups of smiling young people.
The Editor says...
Maybe that's because black teenagers don't smile: If you smile for a photograph you are acting white.
Smiling is what weaklings and losers do, after all. Google can't find photographs that do not exist.
Black Lives Do Matter But Not
To Leftists. Before the government stepped in with its largesse, blacks were doing quite well in New York
City. There is an area in Manhattan's Harlem called Sugar Hill with townhouses and apartment buildings which once were
as glamorous as Fifth Avenue. Wealthy blacks in the entertainment industry, medical, legal and other professions called
it their home.
professor rebukes protesters' 'shallow, narrow, uninformed' demands. "The 'See the Stripes' group is fixed on
revenge, on embarrassing the university and they have little or nothing to fear from the administration," [Professor J. David
Woodard] wrote. "Meanwhile, the rest of the campus is persecuted by their antics, which have virtually no intellectual
or scholarly merit. Their words and actions have none of the markings Martin Luther King Jr. had when he said, 'We must
learn to live together as brothers, or perish as fools.' We're perishing, and the ghosts of 1,500 students who decided
not to attend the University of Missouri next fall in reaction to the antics of the faculty are watching to see what Clemson does."
smackdown of a politically correct university president. When The Bell Curve, a dispassionate and
rigorously scholarly study of intelligence and class structure, written by the late Richard Herrnstein and Charles Murray,
was published in 1994, outrage from the politically correct was immediate. [...] This book was, in other words, forbidden
knowledge and the taboo was being enforced by random affluent progressives, because among other topics, it discussed the
indisputable fact that IQ varies in statistically significant degree by race, and it examined the various explanations for
why that might be the case. The position of [...] almost the entire left-leaning segment of the public and the
chattering class was that such questions must not even be asked.
Gaffney: Southern Poverty Law Center Is Acting As A Surrogate Group For Islamic Supremacists. Frank Gaffney, the founder and president of
the Center for Security Policy, tells One America News Network that the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is attempting to silence him for speaking out
about the threat posed by radical Islam. He appeared on Tipping Point with Liz Wheeler this week, defending his organization against the assault
from the left wing SPLC. Gaffney said that the SPLC used to be a legitimate civil rights organization, but now the group is a militant left wing
outfit that targets pro-freedom groups.
and Unarmed: Behind the Numbers. [Scroll down] It is worth looking at the specific cases included in the
[Washington] Post's unarmed victim classification in some detail, since that category is the most politically explosive. The
"unarmed" label is literally accurate, but it frequently fails to convey highly-charged policing situations. In a number of
cases, if the victim ended up being unarmed, it was certainly not for lack of trying. At least five black victims had
reportedly tried to grab the officer's gun, or had been beating the cop with his own equipment. Some were shot from an
accidental discharge triggered by their own assault on the officer. And two individuals included in the Post's "unarmed black
victims" category were struck by stray bullets aimed at someone else in justified cop shootings. If the victims were not the
intended targets, then racism could have played no role in their deaths.
A Retrospective on the Obama
Years. It has been seven years since the election of our first black president. Seven years since a supposed post-partisan
(even post-racial) era was to begin. But expectations were too high, especially among those who were certain the country's major problems
were racially based. The pundits got it wrong. "Hope" and "change" turned out to be mere campaign slogans. America's
racial divide has deepened. And a previously slobbering media has (unhappily) reported on a sharply divided (and coarsened) America.
Such naïve expectations had no connection to reality in the first place.
Colorblind America: A Malignant
Fallacy. [Scroll down] Additionally, we know that race matters in the area of crime. As the great yet criminally
under-appreciated Heather Mac Donald from the Manhattan Institute has noted time and time again in her groundbreaking pieces on black
criminality in the New York area, black crime rates are astronomical in relation to their rate in the population — as well
as in comparison to other races. Indisputably, it is the calculated liberal corrosion of the black family via progressive policies
that caused the massive explosion of black criminality. Do you think conservatives should continue to unconcernedly sit back and
pretend that race is a nonexistent phenomenon while liberals continue to promote policies that target, and thus disproportionately affect,
specific races? I certainly hope not.
Just To Be
Clear. Words don't simply lose meaning by themselves; the meaning is stripped from them through abuse. To be
called a racist was once a serious charge, as was to claim racism. Unfortunately for real victims of racism, every utterance
today is subject to accusations of racism, which dilutes real incidents of racism to background noise. Once left-wing
activists discovered they could mobilize masses, obtain influence and power, and, more importantly, monetize claims of racism,
real or manufactured, it was game on. The word may have retained its meaning, but the charge is all but meaningless.
E. Lee, American icon. Robert E. Lee rode south on a morning in April 1861, crossing the Potomac to his estate
in Arlington. He had turned down President Lincoln's offer of every soldier's dream — command of the army of the
United States, a position he had longed for, and now he rode toward a position and a destiny he had never dreamed of. He
could not know what lay ahead, but he could see a storm gathering. Lee had hoped Virginia would not secede, indeed, hoped
that none of the states would. The man who has been called America's greatest soldier hardly resembles the mean caricature
drawn by the politically correct in the strife and tumult of the present day.
Obama has turned back the clock on race relations. Americans celebrating Martin Luther King Day today should be
proud of the incredible progress made since the civil-rights leader's birth 87 years ago. At the same time, we should lament
one of President Obama's greatest failures. The last Democratic president and the last Republican president both managed race
relations more effectively than Obama has. Seven years after American voters made history by electing the country's first black
president, racial tensions have worsened.
Stats That Destroy Liberal Narratives. "Consider, for example, that in 1958 a mere 4 percent of Americans
approved of interracial marriage. By 2013, that number had grown to 87 percent. In 2012 these once-taboo unions
hit an all-time high. Ku Klux Klan membership has shrunk drastically from millions a century ago to fewer than 5,000 today.
The Black Panthers are essentially extinct. While plenty of other hate groups have attempted to fill the void, they have always
operated on the margins of society. Black politicians are now common — President Obama's percentage of the white vote
was almost perfectly in line with that received by other recent Democrats, all of whom were white. Granted, these statistics offer
but a snapshot of American society, but the more one looks, the more a trend emerges. America is a lot of things; racist isn't
one of them."
college students demanding more black professors don't realize 'they are demanding the impossible.'. In recent
weeks, America's campuses have been on the front page. Instances of racial insensitivity and acts have caused black students
primarily to protest campus climates that sometimes are hostile. The epicenter was Columbia, Missouri, but demonstrations
have sprouted from coast to coast. [...] Some of the demands have called for changes in leadership, both administrators and
student leaders. Some have asked for mandatory diversity training for all members of the campus community. Still
others have asked for counseling and academic support targeted toward underrepresented groups on campus. They all ask for
one thing: More black faculty. There is unanimity in the belief more faculty who look like them will go a long way
in solving these issues. There is an old saying that you can't get blood from a turnip. In the same regard, you
cannot hire black faculty that do not exist.
Riot ideology: Results through
coercion. In the summer of 1966, Attorney General Nicholas Katzenbach warned that there would be riots by angry, poor minority
residents in "30 or 40" American cities if Congress didn't pass President Lyndon Johnson's Model Cities antipoverty legislation. In
the late 1960s, New York Mayor John Lindsay used the fear of such rioting to expand welfare rolls dramatically at a time when the black male
unemployment rate was about 4 percent. And in the 1980s, Washington, D.C., Mayor Marion Barry articulated an explicitly racial
version of collective bargaining — a threat that, without ample federal funds, urban activists would unleash wave after wave of
racial violence. "I know for a fact," Barry explained, "that white people get scared of the [Black] Panthers, and they might give
money to somebody a little more moderate."
A return to the paranoid style in
African-American politics. From time to time, something will leap out to me as an illustration of the fact that blacks and
whites often inhabit separate realities. I've often told the story of the editorial in a black neighborhood newspaper in Philadelphia
warning African-Americans to flee urban areas in the lead-up to the 2004 presidential elections because George W. Bush was planning
to — this was presented as unquestionable fact — use nuclear weapons against the inner cities to suppress
the black vote. This wasn't somebody ranting on Twitter — this was in print, in a regularly published newspaper that
was, in the early days of the 21st century, still a going concern.
The Million Man March failed
miserably. The Democrats' War on Poverty led to the emergence of a black culture of government dependency, the decimation
of the black family, black fathers abandoning their responsibility for raising and supporting their children and the prominence of
so-called black leaders who promoted themselves as being "real" and "down" with the struggle of a dysfunctional black culture.
Many of those who participated in the original rally took a pledge that things would be different, and claimed their experience in
the nation's capital was a life-defining moment. That was then, this is now.
Plight of the Unarmed Perp. This is the point I really want to make: the constant
emphasis on police shootings of unarmed men that we see in the press is, for the most part, crazy.
If you are a perp, or a suspect, or an inoffensive person walking down the street, you may be unarmed, but
the police officer is not. Nor, in most cases, will he have any immediate way to know whether
you are armed or not. If you attack him, what do you expect him to do? Challenge you to an
arm-wrestling match? He is entitled to use deadly force to defend himself. Attacking a police
officer rarely ends well. Likewise with fleeing a police officer who is ordering you to stop.
If there is a problem here, it does not demand a thorough revamping of American police practices.
Rather, it suggests that those who have influence with a small demographic group — 6% of the
population, according to the Post — impress upon them that they should not attack police officers
under any circumstances, and if told to stop, they should stop. If they put their hands up,
they are not going to get shot.
asks for change of Stapleton neighborhood named after KKK member. Residents in

Lots of prominent figures in American history have had ugly components in their biographies.
Martin Luther King was no saint, as one will discover in a few minutes of investigation -- or by reading the article immediately
below. Certainly MLK was not the near-deity that he's made out to be today. And where is the uproar about all the
bridges and buildings in West Virginia named for high-ranking KKK officer Robert Byrd?
King's baggage looks like Trump's. [Ann] Coulter has always been admirably loyal to the late Sam Francis, a
columnist whose candor made him persona non grata in the Conservative Movement. And it was from Francis that I first
learned, 15 years ago, about these hair-raising allegations against King: Christian pastor, Nobel Peace Prize winner,
civil rights leader, and American icon. Except "allegations" isn't quite the mot juste, because that word carries a
strong odor of gossip and inaccuracy. And King's sexual misconduct has not only been testified to by former assistant
director of the FBI Charles D. Brennan, but has also been relayed matter-of-factly by respectable liberal historians like
David Garrow. During the Senate's 1983 debate on whether or not to inaugurate the King holiday, Brennan asserted that
his evidence included a "great quantity" of "transcripts, recordings, photos and logs" that had been "labeled 'obscene.'"
That material had been sealed by court order until 2027, and the Senate itself was denied access.
Down the Slaver Flags of Islam and Africa. The return of the Confederacy was averted
in the summer of 2015 when major retailers frantically scoured through their vast offerings to purge
any images of a car from the Dukes of Hazzard. [...] Even while our own Boss Hoggs in DC and SF are
locking up the Duke boys as a symbol of racism, they are loudly arguing that black lives matter, all
lives don't. The proportion that the weight of a life should be measured by race is the sort of
idea that we might have associated with slavery. Today it's an idea that we associate with racial
tolerance as we heal our nation's racial wounds one race riot at a time.
The Symbol Of New Orleans Is Considered Racist. The fleur de lis, a French symbol used
by royal families dating back to the 13th century, and emblazoned on the New Orleans Saints helmet,
is now being called a symbol of slavery, drawing comparisons to the recent uproar against the
Confederate battle flag. "As an African I find it painful, and I think people whose ancestors
were enslaved here may feel it even harder than I do as an African," said slave historian Dr.
Ibrahima Seck to WWLTV. He connects the usage of the fleur de lis, to "code noir," or black code,
which was adopted in Louisiana in 1724, and used to govern to state's slave population.
Scapegoat for Strife in the Black Community. Were children raised with only one parent
as common at any time during the first 100 years after slavery as in the first 30 years after the
great expansion of the welfare state in the 1960s? As of 1960, 22 percent of black children
were raised with only one parent, usually the mother. Thirty years later, two-thirds of black children
were being raised without a father present. What about ghetto riots, crimes in general and murder in
particular? What about low levels of labor force participation and high levels of welfare dependency?
None of those things was as bad in the first 100 years after slavery as they became in the wake of the policies
and notions of the 1960s. To many on the left, the 1960s were the glory days of their movements, and for
some the days of their youth as well. They have a heavy emotional investment and ego investment in the
ideas, aspirations, and policies of the 1960s.
Privilege Lie. Of all the invectives launched against the United States by the
resurgent American Left, the charge that in America, White Privilege reigns supreme is the most
insidious and culturally ruinous. Its intent is unambiguous: leftists perpetuate the White
Privilege lie to smear America and its institutions as inherently racist, and therefore unworthy of
adulation and in need of fundamental socioeconomic transformation. The ultimate power of the White
Privilege calumny lies in its capacity to impugn the virtue of American patriotism and the idea of
The Editor says...
Liberals keep talking about white privilege, as if it's a bad thing. But logically, if being white is a privilege,
it must be superior to the alternatives. Anyone who gives a moment's thought to their logic can see that "white
privilege" is a problem that doesn't exist.
The Top Five
Most Racist Presidents. [#3] Franklin Delano Roosevelt: FDR spoke at the 1924
Democrat National Convention, also known as the "Klanbake" for the "heavy representation of Ku Klux
Klan-friendly delegates," as reported at the Wall Street Journal. According to Digital History,
after the Klanbake, "some 20,000 Klan supporters wearing white hoods and robes held a picnic in New
Jersey... " Roosevelt appointed "confidant" James Byrnes to the Supreme Court, who was so
powerful that he was known as the "assistant president on the home front" and who "believed in
racial segregation... and worked to defeat anti-lynching bills introduced in Congress." Despite
the fact that Byrnes was not elected by the people, FDR "assigned Byrnes more powers than ever held
by a public official." Even worse, FDR appointed prominent Ku Klux Klan member Hugo Black to
the Supreme Court.
Crisis: America's Children's Books Contain Too Many White People. The latest thing some American college
professor has deemed racist — in addition to coconut bras, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and zero tolerance
rules — is children's picture books. The professor is Melanie Koss of Northern Illinois University, just
beyond the last suburban outpost of Chicago. According to Koss, an associate professor in the NIU education department,
75 percent of the main characters in children's picture books published in 2012 were white. Also, 45 percent
of those children's picture books showcased white culture — whatever that is — as the primary cultural milieu.
Black Sambo was taken out of the classroom years ago, so naturally the proportion of black characters in children's books
has decreased. But if 75% of the characters in children's books are white, is that so terribly disproportionate?
And if it is, who's going to set and enforce the quotas to keep the white-to-other ratio just right?
Commissioner claims it's hard to hire black cops because 'so many of them have spent time in jail'.
NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton has claimed it is hard to hire more black cops because 'so many of them' have spent
time in jail. 'We have a significant population gap among African American males because so many of them have
spent time in jail,' he told The Guardian. 'And, as such, we can't hire them.' But Bratton is now claiming
he was misrepresented in the story — but not because of his now widely-criticized statement, which he said
are just 'well-known' facts.
Changing Geography Of Racial Opportunity. Perhaps the greatest irony in our findings
is the location of many of the best cities for minorities: the South. This is particularly
true for African-Americans who once flocked to the North for both legal rights and opportunity.
Today almost all the best cities for blacks are in the South, a region that has enjoyed steady growth
and enjoys generally low costs.
Of Blacks Due To Government, Not Racism. Hustlers and people with little understanding
want us to believe that today's black problems are the continuing result of a legacy of slavery,
poverty and racial discrimination. The fact is that most of the social pathology seen in poor
black neighborhoods is entirely new in black history.
Officer Cleared In Tony Robinson Shooting — Madison Wisconsin District Attorney Begs
Grievance Advocates Not To Destroy The City. Grande Lum's team of CRS "peacekeepers"
have been on the ground in Madison Wisconsin for weeks preparing the community to hear that no
charges will be filed against police officer Matt Kenney who shot 19-year-old street thug Tony
Robinson. [...] Their work was painstakingly planned out, as it was previously in other cities and
regions doing the same pro-active tamping down. Each CRS entity tasked to convince the various
grievance groups to accept law and order in place of mob riots, looting and arson.
Futility of Jobs Programs. In blunt terms, the quandary is one of uplifting a poor,
often violent and occasionally lawless black underclass. This is partially cultural: modern schools
with well-qualified teachers, multiple job training programs, and all the rest assigned to this uplift task are
pointless unless program recipients willingly avail themselves of the provided opportunities. For education
to succeed, for example, you must show up, learn the lesson and not disrupt others.
Investment? Oh, Please. These communities are not an "investment"; they're an expense!
The biggest money hole in the history of the human race. Since Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty
program was enacted, we have spent over fifteen trillion — with a t — on
welfare (AFDC and other programs), Food Stamps, WIC stamps, free pre-school, free primary and
secondary education, free medical care, free cell phones, Section 8 housing assistance, food
pantries, free transportation to the Social Services Office and your medical appointments, free
legal services, and I don't know what else because I haven't the stomach to look any further.
And what has the nation gotten back? Zip, nada, zero. Indeed, less than zero, because
while in the 1960s the propaganda was that there were only "obstacles to overcome," now there is
"hopelessness" — a word bandied about not just by white liberals, but also by right-of-center
personalities who attribute the terrible schools in these communities, the lack of fathers in the home,
the unemployment, poverty, and crime to I don't know — residual racism, more money not being
spent on education, something, anything but the actual behavior of the people concerned.
is going as Planned in Baltimore, Ferguson, and Elsewhere: Just Ask Alinsky. Many have

Black U.S. President. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would be speechless at such an accomplishment
and he would be crushed, at the current behavior from those leaders. Another common question has been
what does Obama believe? Is he really Christian, is he a Muslim, is he a communist, etc.? The
only thing Obama has openly and repeatedly admitted to being and then demonstrated being, is a Community

position and defined it so well that Hillary Clinton wrote her graduate thesis on the man.

police departments" omits one factor that, while almost never spoken of, contributed greatly to
those changes, to wit, that the people most likely to run from the police, whether in a stolen car
or for other reasons, are blacks and Hispanics. And when blacks and Hispanics are shot by police
officers, especially by white ones, great effort is made to find fault with the officers. Such
was the case in Los Angeles back in 2005, when Devin Brown, a13-year-old black boy driving a stolen
car, was shot and killed by an LAPD officer. As happened in the Hernandez shooting, Brown either
tried to run down a police officer or was indifferent to the possibility he might do so in his attempted
Exactly Does The Race Industry Want From White America? With the constant attempts to
find racism under every rock and behind every door, I actually believe that the race-baiters left
over from the Civil Rights movement have a nostalgia for the days when there was real racism
and discrimination in America. Why else would they continue to act as though the Civil Rights Act
was never signed into law? In fact, all Civil Rights leaders should celebrate July 2, the day
President Lyndon Johnson signed the bill into law in 1964. Has anyone ever heard Al Sharpton or
Jessie Jackson mention that date? That day should be celebrated as a national holiday.
Instead, the American people are bombarded with trumped up charges of racism (some turn out to be
complete hoaxes) to the point that we have developed race fatigue.
other side to the Martin Luther King story. Driven by FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover's
mistaken conviction that King was a dangerous Communist, federal agents bugged his hotel rooms. What
they found, and tried to use against him in a poisonous blackmail campaign, was not evidence of Communism
but of serial adultery. Leading one of the most astonishing double lives in history, King was not
just the Bible-thumping champion of the rights of man, but also an inveterate womaniser who cheated on
his wife throughout their marriage.
Luther King's heirs milk a legacy. As the nation celebrates the birthday of the man
who more than anyone inspired the movement to give America's black citizens equal rights, you can
find the words of Martin Luther King Jr. in commercials from Alcatel, AT&T, Apple, Chevrolet and
Mercedes. If you want to watch his stirring "I Have a Dream" address from the 1963 March on
Washington, you can pay $20 to buy the DVD from an online shop under the control of his heirs.
While there are versions of one of the most renowned speeches in American history posted on YouTube,
King's heirs generally limit the reach of their father's words and his image.
real racial bias: Cops more willing to shoot whites than blacks, research finds. It's
widely assumed that white police officers are more likely to shoot black suspects as a result of
racial bias, but recent research suggests the opposite is true. An innovative study published in
the Journal of Experimental Criminology found that participants in realistic simulations felt more
threatened by black suspects yet took longer to pull the trigger on black men than on white or
National Conversation about the American Ghetto. The very civil rights movement with
its war on poverty which was to have rectified American racism has, instead, perversely perpetuated
it in the creation of a permanent underclass living life at the bottom of an urban ignorance,
criminality, and violence which most requires the very policing against which its political
beneficiaries now rail. That's a pretty "fundamental transformation" of at least one aspect
of America. And it's a transformation of which no American should ever be anything but ashamed.
Progression and Retrogression. If black Americans were thought of as a nation with
their own gross domestic product, they'd rank among the 20 wealthiest nations. It was a black
American, Gen. Colin Powell, who headed the mightiest military in mankind's history. A few black
Americans are among the world's wealthiest. Many black Americans are among the world's most famous
personalities. The significance of all this is that in 1865, neither an ex-slave nor an ex-slave
owner would have believed that such progress would be possible in less than a century and a half.

cable news networks, now's probably a good time to remind everyone that America is among the least racist countries
in the world. I know this statement will be shocking news to regular viewers of "PoliticsNation," but it also
has the quality of being true.
relations worse under Obama, poll finds. The poll was conducted for Bloomberg Politics

killed an unarmed black man. It found that 53 percent of respondents think race relations
have gotten worse under the nation's first black president.
Cops Aren't Victimizing Black Youth. Of 1,265 murder victims in St. Louis between 2003 and 2012, 1,138
(89.9 percent) were black, according to University of Missouri-St. Louis criminologist David Klinger, a former police
officer. About 90 percent of the black decedents (1,025) were slain by other blacks, his research indicates.
Thirty-two were killed by police officers, 22 (1.93 percent) by white cops.
Sin or Survival Instinct. The reality is profiling is normal, expected and necessary.
People dress to create their desired image/profile. For example: Stockbrokers wear suits to create a
profile of trustworthiness. Hookers dress that they may be profiled as open for business. Gang
members wear various colors and styles of apparel to specify their gang affiliation. And yet, liberals
expect us to ignore all signals sent out by people that telegraph who they are. Liberals are nuts.
racial discrimination explain much? According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress,
sometimes called the nation's report card, the average black 12th-grader has the academic achievement level of
the average white seventh- or eighth-grader. In some cities, there's even a larger achievement gap. [...]
If the cause of the black/white achievement gap has little to do with racial discrimination, then focusing on
discrimination will lead us to ignore or downplay factors that do affect black education. In some school
districts, 700 teachers are annually assaulted and threatened. At one time, Philadelphia employed
500 school police officers. Similar stories of school violence can be told in other cities with large
black populations, such as Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland, Oakland, California, and Newark, New Jersey.
How useful is it to spend resources on discrimination while allowing unsafe and chaotic educational
environments to exist?
Few Problems in the Black Community That Needed a WH Summit More Than Ferguson. The
recent White House summit regarding the events in Ferguson was held to address (as New York mayor
Bill de Blasio put it) the "scourge" of killings by police of blacks. According to a study by USA
Today, an average of 96 blacks are killed by white cops per year. Last year, 6,000 blacks were
murdered by other blacks — more than 60 times the number of blacks killed by white cops.
Time for another White House summit? In 2013, 409 whites were murdered by blacks. Summit?
The figures [in this article] suggest the White House also may want to consider summits on black unemployment,
educational achievement, single motherhood, household income, poverty rates, and school discipline —
just to name a few concerns that have an impact on American blacks at least as profound as blacks being killed
by white cops.
One of the most damaging aspects of Welfare America as it relates to the black community is that the
attitudes of Welfare America have come to be taken as the "authentic" black culture. That is why
people with real achievement and the attitudes that created that achievement — Herman
Cain, Justice Clarence Thomas, Dr, Ben Carson, Allen West — are seen as "not really black."

black child? Why aren't you protesting that?" he shouted. "Why don't you cut it down so that so many
white police officers don't have to be in black areas?" As [Michael Eric] Dyson struggled to get a word in,
Giuliani continued, "Why don't you reduce crime? The white police officers wouldn't be there if you weren't
killing each other."
Hits Back at Eric Dyson: I've Saved More Lives in His Community Than He Has. Former
Gotham Mayor Rudy Giuliani doubled down on his explosive remarks about black-on-black crime on
Fox & Friends Monday morning [11/24/2014], claiming that the "the danger to a black child in
America is not a white police officer; that's going happen less than 1% of the time. The danger to a
black child... is another black." On Meet the Press yesterday, Giuliani mixed it up with
MSNBC contributor and professor Michael Eric Dyson over the Ferguson case, alleging that white officers
wouldn't shoot so many black teenagers if the high minority crime rate didn't force them to be in
minority neighborhoods so much. Dyson called this "the defensive mechanism of white supremacy
in your mind."
Eric Dyson's 'White Supremacist' Comment 'Lowering the Conversation'. Morning Joe host
Mika Brzezinski defended former Gotham Mayor Rudy Giuliani for his comments about black-on-black crime and
chided fellow MSNBC-er Michael Eric Dyson for alleging that Giuliani's comments were indicative of the
"defensive mechanism of white supremacy in your mind." "In places like this and on Meet the
Press, there should be room for a conversation to happen," Brzezinski said.
Up On Black America. Low-income and under-achieving blacks (and to a certain extent,
Caribbean Hispanics) are a problem in the neighborhood. Although they are not the majority, it is
their presence that is most obvious. It's because of them that I have to keep my eyes fixed on the
ground. They are the ones who play obscene music, who can't speak without cursing, and who have no
respect whatsoever for a passerby's personal space. Their teenage kids are the ones that I see
pulling the heads off the flowers in someone else's front yard, or "keying" someone's car parked on
the street. They are the ones whose soon-to-be-pregnant-and-on-welfare young girls unabashedly
describe the penis sizes of their numerous baby-daddies-in-waiting, the girls talking at high volume
on the public buses for everyone to hear. They are the ones who make and post videos that give
girls a crash-course on how to use their bodies to get on the government payrolls and stay there.

Barkley Totally Goes There. [Charles Barkley's] comments are not politically correct,
in any way, and therefore deserve reprinting in full: [...] I said, you know, when young black kids,
you know, when they do well in school, the loser kids tell them, 'Oh, you're acting white.' The kids
who speak intelligently — They tell them, 'You're acting white.' So it's a dirty, dark
secret in the black community. One of the reasons we're never going to be successful as a whole,
because of other black people. And for some reason we are brainwashed to think, if you're not a thug
or an idiot, you're not black enough. If you go to school, make good grades, speak intelligent, and
don't break the law, you're not a good black person. And it's a dirty, dark secret, Anthony.
Barkley: Being a 'thug' celebrated in black community. Retired NBA star Charles
Barkley spoke candidly Thursday about the struggles black people face to fit in with each other,
arguing that blacks "are brainwashed to think, if you're not a thug or an idiot, you're not black
enough." "We as black people are never going to be successful, not because of you white people,
but because of other black people," he said in a Philadelphia radio interview, The Birmingham News

Barkley: 'Unintelligent' Blacks 'Brainwashed' To Keep Successful Black Men Down. NBA
Hall of Famer Charles Barkley spoke candidly about the problems facing the black community when
appearing on a Philadelphia radio station, accusing "unintelligent," "brainwashed" African-Americans
of keeping successful ones down. While appearing on "Afternoons with Anthony Gargano and Rob
Ellis," Barkley was asked about a rumor that Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was getting
criticism from his black teammates for not being, quote, "black enough."
White' Remains a Barrier for Black Education. Here we go again. A black woman has
articulately battled the idea that using standard English is "acting white" in a video that has gone
viral of late, and Jamelle Bouie at Slate has called her out for propagating a myth that black
students devalue school. In the eighties, (black) anthropologist John Ogbu with Signithia Fordham
argued that black kids underperform in school partly because those who behave scholarly are teased
as being "white," such that often fitting in means letting one's grades slip. And indeed, legions of
nerdy black kids are familiar with black peers saying "Why are you working so hard on that school
stuff? You think you're white?"
In The Black Community Is The Result of Culture Not Racism. A female relative of mine
came to live with me for a short time. One day when I came home from work, she asked me where
everyone in the neighborhood was. She said that during the day, she would go outdoors looking for
someone to talk to and no one was around. I told her that they were at work, and I asked her how she
thought the neighbors could pay for their homes if they did not go to work (just as I was going to
work every day). She looked at me with a confused look on her face. Up until that point (she was
nearly sixty years old), she had lived in neighborhoods where everyone (including her) received some
kind of government check and therefore did not work. She always had someone to shuck and jive with
because everyone was at home all day long. She told me that she was bored living in my (middleclass

Don't Blame the NFL. What the media
rarely discuss, and then only gingerly, is how black NFL players have fared compared to young black men not in the NFL. The
answer, unfortunately, is much too well. According to the Bureau of Justice statistics, one in three black men can expect to
go to prison in their lifetime. That is the figure cited by the NAACP in its criminal justice fact sheet. In the NFL,
that figure is closer to one in three hundred. For all its controlled violence, football provides young men, many of them
from troubled homes, with all the discipline they will ever know.
Yes, I Blame White
Liberals. A white teacher said he routinely overhears vulgar and racist comments from
students at an all-black high school. I blame the black youths' negative mindset on blacks in
the civil rights exploitation business and white liberals with their stomach-turning bigotry of lowered
expectations. We see snooty, arrogant, superior intellectual-sounding white liberal pundits and
hosts all over TV touting their absurd narrative that blacks have a right to be angry in racist America
and must be coddled.
No Uncle Toms
on the Left. Black Liberals go to work for their white bosses, interact with white
people who treat them with honor and respect, and go back home to teach hate of white people to
their children and anybody else who's willing to listen. They take no personal responsibility for
their lives, instead blaming so-called "Uncle Tom's", too stupid to know that calling a black man
Uncle Tom is a compliment, as is calling us "Clarence Thomas!"
Black Lies and
White Anger. American black people are being lied to and the lies destroy them. They
are being lied to by corrupt people like Attorney General Eric Holder and Al Sharpton Jr. and Jesse
Jackson and the leftists in our news media. They are being told that their poverty is due to
prejudice and that the police are targeting them out of bigotry. They are being told that the
dreadful existence of slum life grew out of slavery and is being perpetuated by hatred. None of
this is true. Poor black people are poor because they have no family structure and get little
education. Police target them because so many more young black men are criminal thugs than young men
of other colors. Women clutch their purses when a black man gets on an elevator not because they're
racist but because the statistics and the facts they have seen with their own eyes have taught them
that that's the wise thing to do.
black president couldn't stop the Ferguson race riots. Violence continues in Ferguson,
Missouri. It began on August 9 with the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager
cut down by a white cop's bullets. Peaceful demonstrations turned into looting, the local police
went in with rubber bullets and tear gas, all hell broke loose and, eventually, Missouri's governor
pulled out the local police and sent in state officers instead. But the rioting only paused; it
didn't cease. And it may continue. That's probably because it's driven by a deep, deep anger that
will take a long time to calm. Observers might ask, "How can this be happening in an America that
has elected a black president?" How can black kids still get killed by white cops and how can towns
still burn in race riots?
The Value of Life.
Possibly the most sickening thing about America is its racial selectivity. White person kills white
person. Zzzzz. Black person kills black person. Zzzzz. Black person kills white person.
Zzzzz. White person kills black person — the world stops. Or explodes. It's not
just that some life is held to be more valuable than other life. It's that the value of life is measured
by the color of the person who takes it.
it time yet to talk honestly about Maya Angelou? [Daniel J.] Flynn calls her "an author more revered than
read," and that gets to the heart of the Angelou phenomenon. I will give her credit, as Flynn does, for playing a
role very well. That role was as a victim who rose beyond her victimhood to become an icon. But an icon of
victimhood as badge of honor, cultivating a voice, a manner, a persona that embodied dignity, thereby triggering waves
of adulation from those who, out of guilt or hope, devoutly wished her to be a giant, so that all who have been a dealt

if race is more than a social construct? Nicholas Wade, a leading science writer whose

Why has the West been the most exploratory and innovative civilization in the world for the past
500 years? Why are Jews of European descent so massively overrepresented among the top
achievers in the arts and sciences? Why is the Chinese diaspora successful all around the world?
Why is it so difficult to modernize tribal societies? Why has economic development been so slow in Africa?

Clarkson, the "N-word" and the creeping tyranny of political correctness. On the day the Jeremy
Clarkson "N" word story broke, I was sitting with friends of the same age in their kitchen, trying to
remember when it was that the children's choosing rhyme "Eeny meeny minie mo" (or however you spell it:
there are myriad variants) transmuted into its politically correct, N-word free modern version. [...] Today,
most children who recite the poem probably aren't even aware of its sinister, "racist" past. But for my
generation — which is pretty much Clarkson's generation: anyone born before, say,
1970 — it was so unexceptionable as to pass without comment, even were you to be overheard
using it in front of your left-wing teacher in your kindergarten classroom.
Our selective outrage on racism.
Directing racial slurs at blacks if they happen to be conservative has no consequences. No one gets
ostracized. Apologies don't follow. And those with exquisite racial sensibilities see no problem in
calling Thomas an "Uncle Tom" or depicting Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as a self-proclaimed "house n***a," as
cartoonist Ted Rall did in 2004. The selective outrage is troubling. If a private organization decides
it wants to exclude a racist from its midst, that is its right. But wouldn't it be good if we condemned
racism in all its forms?

nightmare is hardly hidden, and tellingly, everything starts with more government jobs.
Criminal Background Checks: That's
Racist! Stop underestimating the crackpot ideas the race-left will cook up. The latest in-fashion example of
America's structural racism is the criminal background check. The complaint goes like this. Racists who are looking for
ways to engage in employment discrimination against blacks can use criminal background checks in hiring. Since blacks have been
convicted of crimes in greater percentages than their population generally, using a background check is a stealth way to discriminate
Call Him Reverend King. So why is Reverend Martin Luther
King, Jr, now referred to as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr? It's simple. The Left wants no remnants of the Christian revolution that changed this
country. They want to make people forget that the biggest change to happen to American since the Civil War was led by a black Christian who was also a
Republican. Referring to King as "Dr. King" implies that the Civil Rights movement was led by an academic, that academia brought us "change we can believe
in." Liberals believe in their educations, even if they have not a lick of practical experience or even common sense. Ph.D. King can lead a revolution,
but a Republican pastor cannot be put in charge. That role is exclusively for black demagogues and fake reverends.
The Road to Genocide is Paved
with Liberal Intentions. With the discrimination against and persecution and murder of [South African] whites worsening yearly —
and with Genocide Watch warning that they're imperiled by impending genocide — my youthful (and obvious) prediction seems vindicated.
Yet most still don't see the bloody writing on the wall. Worse still, some who do shamelessly shrug it off as the comeuppance due "oppressors."
So I'll now do that most unfashionable of things: place apartheid in perspective.
Blacks and Obama. Obama's electoral success further
confirms what I've often held: The civil rights struggle in America is over, and it's won. At one time, black Americans did not have the
constitutional guarantees enjoyed by white Americans; now we do. The fact that the civil rights struggle is over and won does not mean that
there are not major problems confronting many members of the black community, but they are not civil rights problems and have little or nothing to do
with racial discrimination.
Why Criticizing Obama Isn't Racist. The
era of 'hope and change' was supposed to usher in a 'post-racial' era. Instead it's now the appalling norm to blame any political opposition to the
president on racism.
Black Skin Privilege.
Nationwide there were an estimated 67,755 black-on-white aggravated assaults in 2010, as compared to with just 1,748 white-on-black crimes of the
same description. In other words, blacks committed acts of interracial aggravated assault at a rate 200 times higher than whites
(181 per 100,000 population versus 0.9 per 100,000). The physical threat to African Americans from whites is actually minimal
compared to the epidemic of black violence against whites. The National Crime Victimization Survey reported approximately 13,000
black-on-white rapes in the United States in 2010, and 39,000 black-on-white robberies, both violent crimes against persons. By
contrast, the numbers of white-on-black rapes and robberies reported in the same surveys were so infinitesimal that whites were estimated to
have accounted for 0% of all rapes and robberies committed against black victims in the United States.
America Will Self-Correct from the Mistake of
Obama. Black Liberals adapt all kinds of African customs, hair styles, couture, dance, and so on, but they don't want to go live there, because
Africa [stinks]. I'm not talking about their people, or the animals, or the natural wonders. That's all fantastic. I'm talking about their
governments. I'd rather live in Detroit than live in any country in Africa. On a continent with 53 countries run by black
people, very few "African Americans" are searching for their roots and relocating to the Motherland. Life in Africa is so bad that almost every African
country has a lottery for Africans to get the opportunity to come to America. Disgruntled blacks in American can go to live in Africa with no
obstructions, and they will not go.
The end of race. Here's what I've found in Louisiana:
The voters want to know what you believe, what you stand for, and what you plan to do, not what shade your skin is. And I think that's true of the
country as a whole: America's younger generation pays less attention to skin color than the generations that preceded them.
Will Eric Holder ever learn to be
careful what he asks for? Eric Holder, perhaps the worst, most corrupt attorney general in history, famously demanded Americans stop being cowardly
and have a conversation about race. Well, in the aftermath of the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Christopher Lane, and now World War II hero Delbert Belton,
I don't think he likes the frankness he is starting to get from whites and other nonblacks.
Black lawmakers lament flaring of
racial tensions under Obama. Black lawmakers say the election of the nation's first African-America president has not been a salve for
racial tensions, a view that the public has also voiced in recent polling. While Democratic lawmakers place the lion's share of the blame on
Republicans for the state of affairs, they betray disappointment that more progress has not been made since the civil rights movement won its biggest

Profiling. In a number of cities, there have been
complaints of racism because some taxicab drivers turn down black fares. By simply knowing that a driver refused a black passenger, we

has to forfeit her entire career and be subject to ridicule and social shunning. Go figure. From the Black Panthers gathered
in front of polling booths in the 2008 presidential election to the recent prosecution witness in the Trayvon Martin case, we have all
heard the term 'cracker' used as a derogatory term for white people. No careers were lost for the use of that word.
Ignores Real Threat To Young Black Men. [Scroll down] The November 2011 study concluded that "young black males
were disproportionately involved in homicide compared with their proportion of the population." This is understating it.
The precise data show that even though black men between the ages of 14 and 24 make up only 1% of the U.S. population,
they represent 27% of all the nation's murderers. This bears repeating: 1% of Americans are committing over a quarter
of the murders. Equally alarming, the administration study also found that blacks of any age are eight times more likely to
murder than whites.
Black English and a Bad Saint Bernard.
It is not just that someone who speaks Black English (exclusively) is likely to be less qualified for almost any job than someone who
speaks American English, but, at least for this white guy, I have to wonder whether the person speaks the way he speaks because he is
a victim of government schools or because he buys into a new black version of "separate but equal" — which is of course far more
separate than equal — but this time by blacks' own doing.
Whites to be minority in
children under age 5 by next year. For the first time, America's racial and ethnic minorities now make up about half of the
under-5 age group and will be a majority by this year or next. That's according to new census numbers that show a faster shift than
expected toward a minority-majority, one where whites will be in the minority by 2043. The new estimates also show that, for the
fist [sic] time in more than a century, the death rate for white Americans outnumbers the birth rate.
The Editor adds...
But the minorities will still have preferences, even when they're in the majority.
The Racializing of American Politics.
The GOP's problem with Hispanics today is a tangle of issues involving the law, labor and assimilation that is hardly reducible to the
accusation that the party is too white. In virtually every instance, the idea that the Republican Party is "too white" is dropped
with almost no discussion of what exactly that means. The phrase is being pinned like a scarlet "W" on anyone who didn't vote for
the Democrats' nominee. It's a you-know-what-we-mean denunciation. Its only meaning is racial.
The Communists and Rosa Parks.
A nine-foot bronze statue of the civil rights icon and Alabama native, Rosa Parks was unveiled in the U.S. Capitol building yesterday.
President Obama spoke at the dedication ceremony rightly asserting that Parks' activism began long before she was arrested for refusing to
give up her seat on the bus to a white man in 1955. In fact, according to Professor Robin D.G. Kelley, who has written on the
Communist Party's involvement in the early days of the civil rights movement in Alabama, Parks and her husband were regular attendees
at communist meetings in the 1930's.
A review of "The Disuniting
of America," by Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.. Today, says Schlesinger, the American identity is in jeopardy as multiculturalism
and Afrocentrism elevate racial and ethnic over national affiliation. At the end of this road, he warns, lie Yugoslavia and other
contemporary battlegrounds of racial and ethnic separatism. While the analogy may seem a touch overwrought, there can be no question
that multiculturalists are playing with weapons that can wreak havoc on our already inadequate schools, our social structure, and economy.
Trying To Buy The Hispanic And Female Vote With Another Government Giveaway. Now that the polls say that President Barack Obama's poll
numbers with women and the Hispanics in the United States aren't as exceedingly high as they were previously, there is suddenly a new benefit to the
farming — and rancher — community who are either female or Hispanic, who feel they were discriminated against in the not-so-distant
past. How ironic that this benefit to females and Hispanics is being offered right before President Obama's reelection date. One might
logically think that the timing of this benefit to these groups — who vote — is planned to sway their presidential election vote on
November 6. It's just one of the many, many methods in which an incumbent president can grab some extra votes in the eleventh hour.
African-American Christians waver
over vote. Some black clergy see no good presidential choice between a Mormon candidate and one who supports gay marriage, so
they are telling their flocks to stay home on Election Day.
The Editor says...
Really? Does same-sex marriage matter much to these "Christians", but
wholesale abortion does not? Do they really think the Mormon Church is
repugnant, but the TUCC is not? Did generations of 19th- and 20th-century
blacks fight for the right to vote so that their descendants could sit on the sidelines?
Racist dog whistles and the men who hear them.
American racism is starting to remind me of American alcoholism. At the founding of the republic, in the days when beer was
thought of as "liquid bread" and a healthy nutritional breakfast, Americans drank about three-to-four times as much as they do now.
Today the United States has a lower per capita rate of alcohol consumption than almost any other developed nation, but it has
more alcoholism support groups than any other developed nation — around 164 groups per million people.
Are Paying For A "Chief Diversity Officer" To Tell Americans How To Not Offend Him. We have a Chief Diversity
Officer at the U.S. Department of State??! Seriously?! What blithering buffoon decided we needed to waste money on
this foolishness? Are their other less-than-chief's running around under his tutelage, finding ways to be offended and
tattle back to Robinson?
8 Ways Blacks Perpetuate Racism
and the Only Way to Thwart It. [Scroll down] Civil rights are legal grants from the state which can be wholly arbitrary.
The inalienable rights of the individual are objectively derived and exist independent of the state. Good civil rights support inalienable
rights. For instance, voting is a civil right which compliments the inalienable rights of the voter. Bad civil rights oppose inalienable
rights. Granting a civil right to health care or any other provision places a burden upon producers to supply their wares without trade,
something which used to be called robbery. Because the civil rights movement of the 1960s was in opposition to institutionalized racism, civil
rights have since been associated with decency and justice in the public discourse. That association has been abused to promote all manner of
Can One Be Truly Black and
Patriotic? Famed TV minster Bishop T. D. Jakes said that when your "perception is off," you do
not realize or appreciate the true value of what you have until you have lost it. Is it fair to say that, in
general, black America's perception is off regarding their country, which is, in reality, a tremendous gift from God?
Some may think me insane for suggesting that it was a blessing for my ancestors to be betrayed by fellow blacks, sold to
white slave traders, separated from their families, and shipped to a strange land to be slaves. But please, hear
Minorities now surpass whites in
US births, census shows. America hit a demographic milestone last year, with new census figures showing for the first time more than
half the children born in the U.S. were minorities. That percentage just barely eked over the halfway mark, with minorities making up
50.4 percent of U.S. births in the 12-month period ending July 2011. But it marks a steady trend — minorities represented
37 percent of births in 1990.
Alum Calls Crimes, Out of Wedlock Births in Black Community 'Elephant in the Room'. "Nonetheless I
think we have to recognize that it's going to be tempting for the police and individuals to profile so long as
a disproportionate amount of street crime is committed by African Americans and there will be a disproportionate
amount of street crime is committed by African Americans for so long as more than seven out 10 African Americans
are being born out of wedlock," [Roger] Clegg said.
Racial bias saves death row man. A
convicted killer has been ordered off death row in the US state of North Carolina after a judge ruled his trial had been
tainted by racial bias. Marcus Robinson's case was the first to be heard under North Carolina's controversial
Racial Justice Act (RJA).
Trayvon Martin Tragedy To Smear America's Good Name. In light of the tragic killing of black teenager
Trayvon Martin — and the manufactured hysteria surrounding it — one thing needs to be stated as
clearly and as often as possible: The United States is the least racist and least xenophobic country in the world.
Foreigners of every race, ethnicity and religion know this. Most Americans suspect this. Most black Americans
and the entire left deny this.
Profiling. Twelve years ago, a black
Washington, D.C., commissioner warned cabbies, most of whom were black, against picking up dangerous-looking passengers. She
described "dangerous-looking" as a "young black guy ... with shirttail hanging down longer than his coat, baggy pants, unlaced tennis
shoes." She also warned cabbies to stay away from low-income black neighborhoods. Did that make the D.C. commissioner a
racist? In some cities, such as St. Louis, black pizza deliverers have complained about having to deliver pizzas to certain
black neighborhoods, including neighborhoods in which they live. Are they racists?
Is black support of Obama based only on race?
Maybe black people overall have a different view of government from white people do. Maybe black people believe in the
central government more because of their experience in the South in the 1960s when the federal government ended 100 years
of Jim Crow law. There also is the identification of slavery with capitalism. Overall, white people would reject
that notion. But I can see that if I were black and a descendant of slaves, I might connect the two.
Historic Low. An exodus of African-Americans from struggling industrial cities such as Detroit
and the growth of Sunbelt states have pushed racial segregation in U.S. metropolitan areas to its lowest level
in a century, according to a new study. The report, released by the conservative Manhattan Institute,
said U.S. cities are more integrated now than at any time since 1910, based on analysis of census data from
Court throws out
judge-drawn Texas electoral maps. The Supreme Court on Friday [1/20/2012] threw out electoral maps
drawn by federal judges in Texas that favored minorities.
The Minority Myth.
Consider one of the newest subsets of Americans in recent years: the African-American. This
hyphenate grew out of trying to find a more dignified way of describing black people (past words like
"colored" or "negro" summon bitter, knee-jerk responses). This term, however, is not very accurate
because it is used to specifically describe a person's skin color. Personally, one of the few, truly
African-Americans I know is white. She was born and grew up there before coming to the states.
(Yes, Africa has white citizens.)
Opportunity for America in 50 Years. The media is pretty silent about this, but the real
estate crisis which has plagued us for the past 3 years and will hang over us for the next few was
caused and promoted by none other than the U.S. government. In an effort to get poor people into
housing, the government coerced banks into giving loans to people who would never qualify under other
circumstances. They did this by threatening banks with loss of their charters if they did not
make more loans to minorities.
Sensitivity Through the Looking Glass. We've reached the point where people can't make observations
about the world around them without being labeled racist.
Obama and the Coming
Democalypse. In the last century and a half America has mixed it up with Reconstruction, Jim
Crow, red-lining, civil rights, school desegregation, school busing, affirmative action, diversity, the Community
Reinvestment Act, "affordable housing," and two "first black presidents." The whole point of politics
is to "do something."
"TV Gap" Cripples Minority Kids. A powerfully disturbing new report by the Kaiser Family
Foundation shows that black and Hispanic kids consume 4½ more hours of media every day than
their white counterparts -- investing a startling total of more than 90 hours a week on television,
video games, social networking and other distractions. "It's clear that, overall, American youth
spend an enormous amount of time with media, but minorities spend most of their waking hours with media,"
says study director Ellen Wartella, head of the Center on Media and Human Development at Northwestern
University. The chief culprit is television, of course: black youngsters spend more than
41 hours a week watching the tube, while white kids devote less than 25 hours per week.
Look Back At The Great Church Fire Propaganda Campaign. Fifteen summers ago, America's news
media informed us that black churches throughout the South were being torched by white racists. The
purported wave of arsons dominated the airwaves and generated thousands of newspaper articles. Pundits,
politicians and preachers decried the terrorism and the hate it represented. In fact, it never happened.
gov't plays 'father,' 'black males have become dispensable'. In an appearance on Thursday night's
[6/2/2011] "Stossel" on the Fox Business Network, [Walter E.] Williams argued that welfare has done more
damage to black society than slavery or Jim Crow. "[T]he welfare state has done to black Americans what
slavery could not have done, the harshest Jim Crow laws and racism could not have done, namely break up the
black family," Williams said. "That is, today, just slightly over 30 percent of black kids live in
two parent families. Historically, from 1870s on up to about 1940s, and depending on the city, 75 to
90 percent of black kids lived in two parent families. Illegitimacy rate is 70 percent
among blacks where that is unprecedented in our history."
The End of an Idea — Why
Affirmative Action Should Stop. Is there a color-coded graph somewhere that says the darker one is, the
more consideration one is due? Apparently not — given that most East Asians and Arabs are not usually
extended affirmative action status. OK, but do third-generation affluent Japanese-Americans qualify for
preferences on the rationale that their parents as children were interned in camps in the American West; or
fifth-generation Chinese because their great-great-grandparents were treated horribly while building the
Bin Laden's Anti-U.S. Strategy: Exploit Minority Converts. According to materials in the cache
of documents recovered in the U.S. Navy SEAL raid that brought down the terror leader, bin Laden planned to
specifically recruit African-American Muslim converts to carry out attacks on the homeland. The goal
was to not only kill and maim in the actual operations, but to create a divisiveness that would cause more
damage than al Qaeda could ever hope to do on their own.
Osama Bin Laden's
strategy sounds familiar. Wait just a minute, captured documents reveal that Osama Bin Laden
wanted to use race and class warfare to weaken America? Isn't that what the Democratic Party has been
doing for the past half century?
UVA Afraid to
Prosecute Lying Law Student. A 25-year old University of Virginia law student Johnathan Perkins
wrote a detailed account of police harassment and racial profiling in an April 22 Letter to the Editor of
Virginia Law Weekly. Naturally, the prestigious university began an investigation that culminated in
Perkin's May 2 admission that he made the whole thing up in order "to bring attention to police
misconduct." ... Despite the false allegations no charges will be filed against Perkins.
The Editor says...
Imagine what would have happened if a white guy had done the same thing.
The Curious Case of the
Lying Law Student. Attorney General Eric Holder will give the commencement address at the

Topics We Can't Have Adult Conversations About in America. [#6] Racism: At what
point can we all stop pretending that America hasn't done a 180 degree turn-around on race issues
since the sixties? People yell "racism" so much these days that you'd think Democrats like Bull
Connor and George Wallace are still around persecuting black Americans. Could we start by perhaps
acknowledging that affirmative action is immoral government-sponsored racism against white Americans that
undermines the achievements of all African Americans? Is it worth discussing the possibility that the
sky-high illegitimacy rate in black America is ten times more of a factor in their problems than racism?
How many black Americans fail simply because they've been told their entire lives that they're victims and
that the deck is stacked against them? How about black racism? Louis Farrakhan, who's well liked in
black America, is as much of a scumbag as a KKK leader and everyone knows black Americans supported Obama
over Clinton purely because of his skin color.
[Scroll down] Another part of the black education disaster has to do with the home environment. More
than 70 percent of black children are born to unwedded mothers, who are often themselves born to unwedded
mothers. Today's level of female-headed households is new in black history. Until the 1950s, almost
80 percent of black children lived in two-parent households, as opposed to today's 35 percent.
Often, these unwedded mothers have poor parenting skills and are indifferent, and sometimes hostile, to their
children's education. The resulting poorly behaving students should not be permitted to sabotage the
education of students whose parents are supportive of the education process.
Allen West — and the Congressional Black Caucus. Of all the developments worth following
these days, from the vigorous Republican insurgency to the apathetic Obama presidency, I'd like to add another:
the relationship between the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) and Republican freshman Allen West of Florida.
West, 50, is the first Republican to join the CBC since Congressman Gary Franks of Connecticut.
Race, Propaganda, and
Schoolkids: A new exhibit opened this week at the Boston Museum of Science called "RACE —
Are we so different?" [Caps in original.] The exhibit offers a fascinating window into the fun-house
mirror world of race theorists, racial "scholars," and a good part of the anthropology profession. Even a
sympathetic reviewer in the Boston Globe admits that "there's a wearying didacticism to the show," and it's no
surprise that the didactic lessons about race are all slanted toward the left.
Black Education Disaster.
SAT scores confirm the poor education received by blacks. In 2009, average SAT reading test scores were:
whites (528), Asians (516) and blacks (429). In math it was whites (536), Asians (587) and blacks (426). Twelve
years of fraudulent primary and secondary education received by most blacks are not erased by four or five years of college.
This is evidenced by examination scores taken for admission to graduate schools.
Republican: Black Caucus preaches victimization and dependency. Congressman-elect Allen West
(R-Fla.), who said he plans to become the only black Republican in the Congressional Black Caucus, accused
the organization of failing the black community by promoting dependence on government welfare programs.
"The Congressional Black Caucus cannot continue to be a monolithic voice that promotes these liberal social
welfare policies and programs that are failing in the Black community, that are preaching victimization and
dependency, that's not the way that we should go," West said on Fox News Friday [11/19/2010].
Let's Take This Country Back.
One thing is for sure: Black Democrats love handouts. They know that the Congressional Black Caucus will
continue to fight for these handouts, which black Democrats now consider "entitlements." Payback for slavery.
These days anything black Democrats want is considered an entitlement. Gucci purses and 60-inch flat-screen TVs in
their taxpayer-funded, government-gifted homes — all are entitlements. For black Democrats, the government
is supposed to provide food, shelter, clothing, cars (tricked out, of course), cable TV and PlayStations (the in-home
babysitters), childcare, health care, and, of course, a check.
The Truth about Obama's
Muslim 'Faith'. As many know, there once was a great boxer named Cassius Clay. He converted
to Islam in 1964, seemingly bothered that Jesus was portrayed as "a white with blond hair and blue eyes," as
he put it, and took the name "Muhammad Ali." Of course, the irony of this is that despite being intensely
aware of his slave roots, Ali rejected the name of an abolitionist (Clay) and took the name of a slave-owner
(Muhammad). It also perhaps eluded him that Christians were the first ones to outlaw slavery, while
Muslims give black Africans rope and chains to this day. But I mention this because Ali's path is a
common one in the black community; it is why we've long had the Black Muslims and why Islamic names are so
common among American blacks. Many blacks have bought the bill of goods that Christianity is the white
man's religion, the faith of oppressors. And they embrace Islam as part of a rejection of "white" society.
Slaves on the Government Plantation.
At a recent press event sponsored by the Tea Party Express, some of America's most prominent leaders in the
movement spoke out about race and charges of racism being hurled at the tea parties by the Obama administration,
the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP. In his remarks at the event, former Reagan administration
ambassador Alan Keyes spoke of "rampant exploitation of the history of black Americans" by the Obama administration,
using race as an instrument of political war to enslave all Americans.
A Liberal Judge Lights
a Fuse. Look what the culture war has done to liberals. Seventy years ago liberals set out
to fight against the white Southern obsession with race. Now, after America elected a black president,
liberals can think of nothing but race.
Why Young Black Males Are
Not Graduating High School. A new report from the Schott Foundation reveals that only 47 percent
of black male students earn a high school diploma on time. Ironically, this report came out shortly
after Judge Vaughn Walker ruled regarding Proposition 8 in California. If the statements on which
Judge Walker based his ruling are "facts," how do we explain what is happening educationally to boys in the
black community where a large majority are growing up without fathers?
Fat Black Kids
Showcase America's Racism. The most recent statement by Michelle Obama baffles me, as she
compared black children's health to the age old Democrat policies of slavery and Jim Crow laws:
... Imagine my surprise to learn that one can recognize racist policies caused fat black kids.
Here I thought racism was when black men intimidating white voters are not prosecuted for obvious voter
intimidation, by a black Attorney General, simply because the perpetrators were black. I
erroneously believed that racism had occurred when a black president speaks out (without any
facts) on behalf of a black professor behaving badly, and who is given preference over a
white cop doing his job.
Class — And the Perils of Revolution. [Scroll down] By 1853, when
Sen. John Pettit of Ohio called "all men are created equal" "a self-evident lie," much of America's
educated class had already absorbed the "scientific" notion (which Darwin only popularized) that man is
the product of chance mutation and natural selection of the fittest. Accordingly, by nature, superior
men subdue inferior ones as they subdue lower beings or try to improve them as they please. Hence while
it pleased the abolitionists to believe in freeing Negroes and improving them, it also pleased them to believe
that Southerners had to be punished and reconstructed by force. As the 19th century ended, the educated
class's religious fervor turned to social reform: they were sure that because man is a mere part of
evolutionary nature, man could be improved, and that they, the most highly evolved of all, were the
v. Glickman: 86,000 claims from 39,697 total farmers? If there are only 39,697 African-American

the hands of the USDA? Where did the other 46,303 come from?
Real Sherrod Story
Still Untold. [Scroll down] The major media reported the settlement as though it were
the signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. For the last forty years, as the civil rights industry has
manufactured more and more absurd grievances — most notably the Tea Party smear that incited
Breitbart's reprisal — the media have reported on them with increasingly wide-eyed innocence.
In the various stories on the settlement, not one reporter that I could identify stopped to do the
math. ... Although 86,000 black farmers are alleged to have received payments, at no time in the last three
decades have there been more than 40,000 black farmers. Nor is there much turnover in the farming
Obama Wants $1.25 B to
Compensate up to 66,000 African American Farmers. President Barack Obama is requesting
$1.15 billion from Congress — to add to a $100-million earmark he pushed through Congress in
2008 when he was a senator — to create a $1.25 billion federal fund to settle discrimination
claims by what the Justice Department says is 66,000 African Americans who "farmed or attempted to
farm" and were allegedly the victims of discrimination committed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture
(USDA) during the period from Jan. 1, 1981 to Dec. 31, 1996.
Sherrod sues Andrew Breitbart over video he posted. Shirley Sherrod has filed a defamation
suit against Andrew Breitbart, the conservative gadfly she alleges triggered her firing by the Obama
administration and ignited a national debate on race and reverse discrimination.
Problems are Not in the Atmosphere, But On the Earth. A delegation of 20 black mayors representing
the National Conference of Black Mayors arrived in Washington, DC to lobby congress to pass legislation to
promote "clean energy." According to the delegation's press release, they want "a national plan to move
their cities to become more energy efficient, reduce pollution and create new clean energy jobs and businesses."
But is black unemployment twice the national unemployment rate because of carbon emissions?
Civil Rights of My
Fathers. Times have changed, but people have not. Today, the word "justice" is used
to mask opportunism, while falsehoods ooze from the government media to dupe the uninformed. Is
being free from responsibility truly freedom? It is not. This progressive socialist dream
ends in the sad hopelessness of dependence and slavery. The groups have changed, but the theme
remains the same. This time, socialists are in power, using race and class as a weapon to justify
theft from all American taxpayers to buy influence and reward their supporters with the spoils of their
America's new N-word is lightning rod. [Scroll

and less corruptible than themselves, they develop an undue affinity for them," says [Erik] Rush. "Blacks

with accepting the nobility — no matter how lacking — of all black 'leaders.'
They're ripe for the 'rescue' of predatory, opportunistic members of the black community — in
concert with white politicians scheming for personal enrichment."
Can black Americans afford
Obama? Early indications suggest that the Barack Obama presidency might turn out to be similar
to the failed presidency of Jimmy Carter. That's bad news for the nation but especially bad news for
black Americans. No white presidential candidate had to live down the disgraced presidency of Carter but
I'm all too fearful that a future black presidential candidate will find himself carrying the heavy baggage of
a failed black president.
Are Liberals Breaking
Up with Obama? [Scroll down] At the end of the day, every one of these folks who rallied
the votes for Obama — based on nothing but his skin color and teleprompted eloquence —

Is Rigging Elections Fair to Immigrants? A Nebraska town wants renters to prove they are in the
country legally, and Port Chester, N.Y., was forced to swallow a goofy voting scheme that makes sense only if
the aim is to erase the distinction between legal and illegal immigrants. Under the plan, imposed by a
federal judge in response to a 2006 Justice Department civil-rights suit, each voter in the board of trustees
election got six votes. A voter could give all six votes to one candidate, or divide them among several.
the government dole. Throughout our history, politicians and pundits have often said "America
is at a crossroads." Sometimes it was true, as in the final convulsive years leading up to the Civil
War when we decided to end slavery. New data on personal income, taxes and dependency makes clear that
the country is again at a historic crossroad and another form of slavery is the central issue. There are no
iron chains involved this time, but dependence on government for economic sustenance is no less an enslavement.
The Abolition of the Family:
[Scroll down slowly] It is not by accident that over 70% of black children in America are born out of
wedlock. Almost 50% of young black men in America are unemployed. And without a job, a man has no
incentive to start or remain with his family. The Obama administration has done next to nothing to
stimulate those parts of the economy that provide employment for young men and, therefore, protect and
strengthen the family. This is the dirtiest and nastiest of not-so-secret secrets that no one seems
to want to address.
The Right To Discriminate. [Scroll
down] When I was selecting a marriage partner, I systematically discriminated against white women, Asian women
and women of other ethnicities that I found less preferable. The Nation of Islam discriminates against
white members. The Aryan Brotherhood discriminates against having black members. The Ku Klux Klan
discriminates against having Catholic and Jewish members. The NFL discriminates against hiring female
quarterbacks. The NAACP National Board of Directors, at least according to the photo on their Web
page, has no white members.
in the Liberal Establishment. It is absolutely clear that in 2010 conservative and Republican American
blacks can't express their views without fear of reprisal and retaliation. Is this the intent of the Civil Rights
movement that blacks can only be free if they agree with the Democratic Party way of thinking?
The Black Church's
Commitment to Obama. Ninety-six percent of black voters, many of whom are Christians, cast
their votes for Barack Obama. I question: Did your desire to see a black man in the White House
trump your commitment to Christ and Christian values and principles? ... My family and most of my black
friends are Christians striving to live lives which honor Christ. And yet, there is a huge disconnect
between their Christianity and their irrational, blind, and near-idol-worship of Obama. Will the truth
about Obama make a difference? For some, I think not. For those of you who value your commitment
to Christ more than your loyalty to skin color, here are a few facts.
Black Americans and Liberty.
The heroic civil rights movement, culminating with the 1964 Civil Rights Act, put an end to the grossest
abuses of personal liberties, but government evolved into a subtler enemy. Visit any major city and one
would find that the overwhelmingly law-abiding members of the black community are living in constant fear of
robbery, assault and murder. In fact, 52 percent of U.S. homicides are committed by blacks,
49 percent of homicide victims are black and 93 percent of them were murdered by fellow blacks.
The level of crime in black communities is the result of government's failure to perform its most basic
function, namely the protection of its citizens.
Black students' field trip
draws parents' anger in Michigan. A school district in Michigan is defending its intentions after
a field trip by African-American elementary students drew complaints from excluded children and their parents.

Imagine the uproar if a public school scheduled a field trip for whites only.
Tyranny May Be Closer
than We Think. Nancy Pelosi, the most arrogant and polarizing Speaker in the history of the
House, dismissed the Tea Party as nothing more than "disheartened Republicans and racists, who could not
accept a bi-racial man as president." Similarly, the mainstream media and Democrat activists, evidently
taking their orders from the Speaker's office, tried to portray the health care debate as being based solely
on President Obama's race rather than on the policies of an overreaching government. Therefore, we are
in the bizarre position of having the first black POTUS, while being constantly scolded for being racist.
The Editor says...
Well, let's not make that mistake again. Since we will be branded as racists in any case,
why continue with "affirmative action"?
Race and Politics:
Few combinations are more poisonous than race and politics. That combination has torn whole nations
apart and led to the slaughters of millions in countries around the world.
Politics: Part II. No dogma has caused more mischief — and, in some countries,
tragedies — than the notion that there is something strange and wrong when some groups are
"over-represented" or "under-represented" in some occupations or institutions. This dogma is so
widely accepted, and so deeply entrenched, that no one asks for evidence and no speck of evidence is
offered. Moreover, tons of evidence to the contrary are ignored.
Politics: Part IV. One of the most ominous developments of our time has been the
multicultural dogma that all cultures are equal. It is one of the many unsubstantiated assertions
that have become fashionable among self-congratulatory elites, with hard evidence being neither asked for
How the Civil Rights Movement Jumped the Shark. There
is no reason in 21st century America on an issue that is not a black or white or a civil rights issue to have

blackboard jungle edition. The Obama administration's Department of Education has announced
that it will crack down on "civil-rights infractions" in public schools, including alleged disparities in the
disciplining of white and black students. The notion behind this initiative is that black students are
disproportionately subjected to discipline they don't deserve. That doesn't seem to be the case in the
Philadelphia public school system, however. There, as Abigail Thernstrom and Tim Fay report, it appears
that African American students frequently harass and attack Asian students without consequence.
Listen to the Panther.
As Eldridge Cleaver understood, when the individual is crushed, so is his sense of self-respect and
self-reliance. Since LBJ's Great Society initiatives, billions of dollars have been spent augmenting the
state in relation to the individual lives of most black Americans. Is Colbert King happy with the results?
Is socialized medicine as important to the black community as the staggering numbers of children who grow up

The soft bigotry of low expectations.
The Obama administration's Department of Education has announced that it will crack down on "civil-rights
infractions" in public schools, including alleged disparities in the disciplining of white and black students.
This means that the administration will identify and investigate situations in which a facially neutral discipline
system — offense X brings punishment Y — results in blacks being discplined
more often than whites. School systems will face the prospect of being punished unless they can explain
the disparities, presumably based on a painstaking analysis of each disciplinary decision.
It's the Culture, Stupid.
[Scroll down] With blacks overrepresented among single parent families — by 1993, 57 percent of
black children were growing up in a single-parent household, as compared to 21 percent of white
children — white homeownership rates inevitably outstripped those for black homeownership. In the
early 1990s, that gap was at least 25 percentage points, typically around 70 percent for whites
and in the low 40s for blacks. The Clintons and their allies, however, refused to acknowledge family
breakdown as a problem, let alone as an explanation for the disparity in homeownership rates. Their
preferred explanation for just about everything unpleasant was the inevitable "racism."

Obama, Liberal Government and Obesity: Even holding steady for all other factors, research concludes
that poor black women and their children are the most disproportionately affected by skyrocketing obesity rates.
The largest single indicator for poverty and, later, dropping out of high school is birth to an unmarried mother.
Unmarried women and their children are the largest recipient group of welfare state entitlement programs and also the
group most rigidly trapped in failing government schools. In 2007, 72% of all black children born in the
USA, were born out of wedlock.
Blacks, Youths, and CPAC:
At CPAC, I saw an army of young, brilliant, and enthusiastic conservatives waiting in the wings for their
opportunities to fight. I met proud, grateful black Americans who did not drink the Obama Kool-Aid and
instead are eagerly pursuing their dreams.
The Fraud of Progressive
Nobility: Amid a finger-pointing blame fest, "minority advocates" still supply the crutches on
which minorities lean. For instance, affirmative action strengthens the haplessness in "protected classes"
that motivated liberals to "protect" those classes in the first place. Interestingly, Johns Hopkins and
Syracuse Universities researchers found that immigrant black children attend college at a 25 percent higher
rate, and upper echelon schools at a four times higher rate, than multigenerational African-American children.
We Have Race on the Brain.
Intermarriage and assimilation should have made racial lines almost meaningless. Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, and Eric
Holder talk about being black; but they are not nearly so in comparison to my Sikh neighbors in the Central Valley, who
both are darker and, I imagine, have had harder childhoods. (What constitutes being "black," or are we back to the Old
Confederacy for the one-sixteenth rule?)
Under Barack Obama, US is obsessed with race but can't talk
about it. American politicians have got themselves into a real bind. They have to fret
constantly about race but cannot talk honestly about it.
Standard psychobabble asserts a positive relationship between the race of teachers and administrators and student
performance. That's nonsense. Black academic performance is the worst in the very cities where large
percentages of teachers and administrators are black, and often the school superintendent is black, the mayor is
black, most of the city council is black and very often the chief of police is black.
Whiteness of Science. The racial madness that has left-wing America in its thrall finds its apogee
in the Berkeley, California public schools. Berkeley High School is now poised to eliminate science
laboratory classes because "science labs were largely classes for white students."
Black History Month

But what is so wrong is that these race exploiters imply that current race relations in America have not come
very far from the days of blacks being lynched. Thus, Black History Month in reality is the liberal
democrats' annual fundraiser and promo campaign for more entitlement programs.
King had a dream, but
blacks now face a nightmare. When was the last time you heard anyone express outrage over the
fact that up to half of the black kids in major cities are high school dropouts? Black America is in a
state of crisis and not only are we being ignored by those for whom we vote, we are being ignored by the press
and the "civil rights movement".
The Boys Who Cry Racism. [Scroll down]
Those liberals who've lately been issuing the racism charge so promiscuously (speaking of aberrant hearts and minds) are
aiming it not at skinheads living in their parents' basements or at would-be Klansmen, but at decent Americans with the
temerity to object to presidential policies that they believe would damage both the quality of their lives and the nation
itself: in short, at Americans acting in the best tradition of democratic citizenship. This is so preposterous
that literally millions who've never before given the matter any thought are taking notice.

Why is the Left so angry at
Blacks who love America? I stated three things in [a CNN] interview. One, I refer to myself as an
American rather than a hyphenated African-American. Two, the tea party protests are against President Obama's
policies, not his race. The protesters are decent hardworking concerned citizens. Three, the American people
are not racist. These statements inspired immediate outrage from the so-called tolerant and compassionate Left.
An email from a self proclaimed Marxist threatened physical harm to me. ... A creative leftist called me a "Toxic Negro".

The R-bomb: Are You A Racist?
Racism today belongs to a class of words whose definitions have remarkably little fixed meaning. But racism
once described unwholesome behavior that on its own was measurable — like refusing to sell your home to members
of certain minorities. Somewhere along the line, what began to identify racism seems to have changed,
from the behavior itself, to whether someone took offense.
Disagreement with Obama Racism? When one says that race is no longer the problem it once was,
it is not the same as saying that there are not major problems that confront a large segment of the black
population. Grossly fraudulent education is a major problem but it has nothing to do with racial
discrimination as evidenced by the fact that the worse education received is in the very cities where blacks
dominate the political structure. Crime is a major problem but it has nothing to do with racial
discrimination, particularly in light of the fact that blacks commit most of the violent crime in America and
well over 90 percent of their victims are black. The fact of a 70 percent illegitimacy rate
and only 35 percent of black children raised in two-parent homes is a major problem but it has nothing
to do with racial discrimination.
Reasons Obama's Election Is Bad For Race Relations: [#1] Black Democrats put race first to elect
Obama: It's no longer a surprise when black Democrats vote as an almost monolithic block for Democratic candidates
over Republicans. It's just something that has come to be expected. However, when black Americans started
voting for Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton by the same lopsided margins that people normally saw in general elections,
it sent a simple message: With black Americans, race comes first. If white Americans felt the same way,
there's certainly no way that Barack Obama could ever have been elected President.
cities provide a snapshot of America's future. Blacks are not given enough credit for being
trendsetters in America. Blacks started playing the blues, jazz, and R&B, then the rest of America
started playing them. Blacks discovered the politics of victimhood, then the rest of America started
catching on. Black women got into having babies without marriage. Then white women started getting
into it and the incidence of white out-of-wedlock births today — almost 30 percent — is
higher than the black rate in the 1960's. Blacks bought into dependency and the welfare
state. Now the rest of America has bought in.
Why I am no longer an African
American. As a black woman in the Age of Obama, I don't see anything that reveals that Blacks in America
have anything to celebrate. ... It is obvious that the inspiration for the classification of African American has nothing
to do with those born of African descent. It is a radical group of Black Americans who hold to the anti-American
views of those shared by Jeremiah Wright, Professor Gates, Jesse Jackson, President Obama and many others who came out
of the radical Civil Rights Movement. Because of these things, I now part ways with the classification of
African American because I hold no allegiance to Africa.
Happy Now, Mr. Holder?
What a mess. Everyone is electrified by the pervasive racism in the air, yet not one racist statement or
action can be pinpointed amid the ambi-directional outrage. Near misses are everywhere. Serena Williams
blows up at a U.S. Open line judge of a different ethnicity. Rapper Kanye West interrupts the award
acceptance speech of a white singer only to praise her black competitor. A white teen is beaten up
by two black teens on a school bus in Illinois and the mostly black teenage audience cheers. But those
stories, from the worlds of sports, entertainment, and adolescence serve as the collective backdrop for the
main near-miss events at the heart of American government.
of a Slur. Are Obama's critics really racists? It is a serious charge. If true, it means
the hope of a color-blind society is essentially over after a half-century of civil-rights progress. If false,
it means that we have institutionalized vicious smears as legitimate political tactics — and, in the
process, discredited the entire dialogue that surrounds racial prejudice. How do we determine the
accuracy of the "racism" charges?

Racist? Because of a correlation between race, sex and disease, the physician is using a
cheap-to-observe characteristic, such as race or sex, as an estimate for a more costly-to-observe
characteristic, the presence of a disease. The physician is practicing both race and sex profiling.
Does that make the physician a racist or sexist? Should he be brought up on charges of racial discrimination

Radicals Cite Racism and Capitalism as Causes of Black Troubles. [Carl] Dix and [Cornel] West

in the external world, in the society at large, rather than within the hearts and minds of individual people.
This axiom leads, logically, to the leftist precept that the only way to improve the lives of the masses is not

Impersonating a Victim.
This past March 29th, Professor Henry Louis Gates was being interviewed in front of a small group by Walter
Isaacson on C-SPAN's Book TV. Thirty-three minutes into the discussion about his new book on Lincoln,
Professor Gates began a detailed account of his own genealogy. He said that in doing so he had discovered
he was about "50% white". He said that this was quote, "To my astonishment and horror...".
He continued by saying that he had subsequently sent his DNA off to be tested. This time, upon finding out
he was "57% white", he said again, "to my horror .... I was becoming more white by the minute". To
this Gates, Isaacson and everyone else there chuckled. Something tells me that if Mr. Isaacson had said
that he also had sent his DNA off and found that to his "astonishment and horror" he was 57% black, no one
would chuckle, least of all the Professor of African American Studies at Harvard, Dr. Gates.
of Black Crime. I'll be ready to concede that "race" — defined, per Obama, Holder,
Ogletree, and Gates, as racism and skin color — remains a significant factor in social outcomes
when the same proportion of black children as white children are raised in two-parent, married households
without greatly lowering the black poverty rate, or when black crime drops to white and Asian levels without
proportionally reducing the black prison population. Until we conduct that experiment, though —
which is wholly within the capacity of individuals to do — I'll remain skeptical that the race
activists' favorite "race issues" are predominantly the consequence of white Americans' atavistic bigotry.

When will White America be off
the Hook for Sins of the Past? Oprah, a black woman, is the richest and most influential woman in America
and possibly the world. ... Did I mention that the president of the United States of America is a black man? With
blacks only 13% of the U.S. population, none of these extraordinary black achievements could have happened without
tremendous support from white America. So, when will white America be off the hook for sins of the past?
No wonder black America doesn't have a clue.
While flipping through the channels with my remote, I stopped on the movie "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" on BET
(Black Entertainment Television). Excellent movie. During a commercial break, they gave a news
update. An announcer said, "They tried to get the Bronx kid, Sonia Sotomayor, but she beat them." There
was not one mention of Sotomayor's controversial racist statements. Thus, ill-informed black viewers who
don't follow the news closely are led to conclude that those "evil racist white Republicans" are at it again
trying to block a person of color.
More Scandals Haunt Sotomayor. False
accusations against white people are tolerated by the media, even the conservative media. This is why Al Sharpton
is a frequent guest on the O'Reilly show, despite his participation in the Tawana Brawley hoax, whereby he falsely
accused a group of white men of raping a black woman. But accurate accusations of racism against members of
minority groups who make racist statements are not tolerated.

Re: Holder's Shame. The elephant
in the room in discussions of race isn't white prejudice; it's the breakdown of the black family and all the attendant
social pathologies that emanate from it. When 7-out-of-10 black babies are born to single women and more than half
of black children spend most of their childhood without a father at home, there are consequences: lower academic
performance, more juvenile delinquency and adult crime, more dependence on government assistance, and a greater likelihood
to repeat the cycle again by having more children born out of wedlock to the next generation. Yet virtually no one
in the black community in any position of authority and responsibility is willing to talk about this issue.
White guilt? Done; over; history.
There's a massive silver lining in the magical clouds that lofted Barack Obama to the presidency. For today,
without a shred of intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America: The Era of
White Guilt is over. This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans
didn't give a fluff about skin color and enthusiastically pulled the voting lever for a black man. Not
just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent his early career race-hustling banks, praying in
a racist church for 20 years, and actively working with America-hating domestic terrorists. Yet
white Americans made Barack Obama their leader. Therefore, as of Nov. 4, 2008, white guilt is dead.
Obama's replacement be black? Although Barack Obama's historic election will place an
African-American in the White House, it will reduce the number of African-Americans in the Senate to
zero. That's an even lonelier number than one, and it is not a number that this nation should be
proud of. So the question is: Does Obama's replacement in the Senate have to be black?
The Editor says...
Evidently the author believes that skin color is a candidate's primary qualification. The last thing
this country needs is a racial quota in the Senate. Nor should there be an assumption that only blacks
can represent certain parts of the country.
The End Of
Racism? Sure, there are racists. There are also rust and mosquitoes, and there always
will be. Life goes on. I know — what about "societal" racism? Well, if we can now
relax about the backward folk "out there," then maybe Obama in the White House can help open up an honest
discussion about the role racism does not play in black communities' problems.
The chilling and
cowardly words of Eric Holder: Attorney General Eric Holder thinks Americans are "a nation of cowards" on
matters of race. This is the same Holder who kowtowed to Bill Clinton to help secure Clinton's pardon of fugitive
financier Marc Rich. And the same Holder who prostrated himself to Hillary Clinton's political ambitions by helping
arrange pardons for 16 Puerto Rican terrorists. Now, he has the nerve to call the rest of us cowards, even as he
speaks as the man who controls the entire federal law-enforcement apparatus? Quite simply, Holder has insulted all
Americans, regardless of age or ethnicity.
We Are All Cowards Now.
What's so disconcerting is that a man at the top of his profession, with a wife at the top of hers, in a country that has
rewarded his accomplishments and whose people have made epic strides toward the creation of an equitable society, lectures
us in a way that can only divide us. But that's the infernal paradox of multiculturalism. It preaches tolerance
but practices divisiveness. It pretends to be even-handed but imposes severe restrictions on speech. It censors
brilliant scholars and independent-minded students. And then the Attorney General criticizes those who don't want to
play that self-destructive game.
MLK Vision Fulfilled, say
Blacks. On the first Martin Luther King holiday since Barack Obama was elected President of the United
States, most blacks say the King vision is fulfilled, according to a CNN Poll. ... The truth is: whatever people
feel, the objective facts are that blatant racism, expressed in laws that limit the rights of non-white races in the
public square, is a very small problem today. And that's a good thing.
Getting Beyond Race (And White
Guilt): The fact that the nation elected a black president hopefully might turn our attention
away from the false notion that discrimination explains the problems of a large segment of the black community,
to the real problems that have absolutely nothing to do with discrimination. The illegitimacy rate among
blacks stands at about 70%. Less than 40% of black children are raised in two-parent households.
Those are major problems, but they have nothing to do with racial discrimination.
Can a "Fellow Black Republican" Oppose Obama? Do you know that Democrats opposed the 13th, 14th
and 15th amendments to the Constitution — abolishing slavery, granting citizenship rights to newly
freed slaves, and guaranteeing the right to vote (at least on paper) to blacks, respectively? Do you
know that most of the politicians who stood for segregation were Southern Democrats? Do you know that
the Ku Klux Klan was founded by Democrats, one of whose goals was to stop the spread of the Republican Party?
Do you know that, as a percentage of the party, more Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act
Fidel Castro Endorses
Obama — Again. For the record: Fidel Castro, forcibly overthrew a black Cuban
head of state (Fulgencio Batista) and replaced his government with one where only nine percent of the ruling
Stalinist party is black and where the prison population is 80 to 90 percent black. He jailed
the longest suffering black political prisoner of modern history (Eusebio Penalver who suffered longer in
Castro's dungeon's than Nelson Mandela suffered in South Africa's.) He sentenced other blacks (Dr Elias
Biscet, Jorge Antunez) to 20 year sentences essentially for quoting Martin Luther King Jr. in a public
crucible. [Barack] Obama's success is truly a remarkable commentary on the goodness of Americans and
how far we've come in resolving matters of race. I'm 72 years old. For almost all of my life,
a black having a real chance at becoming the president of the United States was at best a pipe dream.
Mr. Obama has convincingly won primaries in states with insignificant black populations. As such,
it further confirms what I've often said: The civil rights struggle in America is over and it's won.
Obama's Racial Catch-22:
The rapturous coverage of the Obama campaign during the primary was less about Obama himself than it was America
congratulating itself for being willing to consider a black man for president, with the subtext being that the
United States had finally liberated itself from its racist past.
Impact Of Violence On Public Education: In large and mid-sized cities there remain a
disproportionate number of minority students as compared with suburban and rural schools. In New York,
80 percent of the students in the state's large and mid-sized cities are minority, compared with
6 percent in suburban and rural areas. In Pennsylvania the ratio is 65 percent to
4 percent, and in Washington D.C., 96 percent of the total school population is minority.
The Editor says...
If 94 percent are in the minority, one of us doesn't know what "minority" means.
Moore, Frank Rich, Jeremiah Wright and John Hagee: Whether out of guilt or because of its own racist views
(i.e., the unspoken but regularly implied belief in the inferiority of African-Americans), the left-of-center's general
attitude toward black Americans has been that they cannot be judged by the same standards as others. From lowering
standards of admission to universities to blaming the high number of black men in prison for violent crimes on white racism
to decades of cultivating black victimhood and the subsequent Wright-like rage against America, liberals and their party,
the Democrats, have immeasurably hurt African-Americans and America.
The Race Minefield:
It was a moving speech [at the 2004 Democratic National Convention], filled with hopeful sentiments. But
two years later, Senator Barack Obama, with two years' experience in the Senate and his eye on a presidential

preference policies that by their very definition divide Americans into blacks, whites, Latinos, and Asians.

'Star Spangled Banner'. A singer who was to perform the "Star Spangled Banner" at the presentation
of Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper's State of the City address yesterday substituted the "Black National
Anthem" without notifying anyone, because she says as a black, she just doesn't feel American.
a Black Artist Replaced the National Anthem: Last week in Denver, almost all the values of the post-1960s
left were exhibited in one act. It happened on the Denver mayor's most important day — the
one in which he was to deliver his annual State of the City Address. The day was to begin with the
singing of the National Anthem by the black jazz singer Rene Marie. But Ms. Marie had, by her own
admission, long had other plans.
a Black Artist Replaced the National Anthem: [Scroll down] The left's second contribution to Marie's value
system has been its elevation of feelings above other values. For example, one determines right and wrong
on the basis of how one feels (as opposed to, let us say, asking what one's religion, or God, or any moral law
that transcends one's own feelings would say on a given matter). Now, the elevation of one's feelings
above other considerations is generally viewed as a form of narcissism. And while narcissism is as old
as humanity, until the 1960s it was generally regarded as a character flaw. Since the 1960s, however,
it was more often heralded as a virtue.
One nation, one anthem.
As an individual with free will [Rene Marie] certainly had the choice and opportunity to do what she did. But she's not

Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing is not

Racial Absolutes Become Myths: White churches no longer have an invisible "no blacks wanted" sign
hung over their doors. The integration of congregations is not just being led by white pastors. In
1981, I was one of the first black preachers in America to lead a predominately white congregation. What
was novel in those years, is becoming more and more common place today.
Double Standard on Race-based Voting: It is not really relevant, frankly, to point out that most
black voters are going to vote in droves for Barack Obama. Regardless of his race, black voters would
vote for the Democrat. But when you read about Congressman Steve Cohen's race in Tennessee's Ninth
Congressional District, you really are confronted by both racism and anti-Semitism in a way we rarely think
about in this country. And the media is silent. Barack Obama is silent.
Inconspicuous Consumption: About seven years
ago, University of Chicago economists Kerwin Kofi Charles and Erik Hurst were researching the "wealth gap" between black and
white Americans when they noticed something striking. African Americans not only had less wealth than whites with
similar incomes, they also had significantly more of their assets tied up in cars. The statistic fit a stereotype
reinforced by countless bling-filled hip-hop videos: that African Americans spend a lot on cars, clothes, and
jewelry — highly visible goods that tell the world the owner has money. But do they really?
Democratic Party's Stealth War On Black Americans: Democrats cooked up the great society, welfare,
food stamps, and all other manner of government goodies because they said they wanted to "help" people.
What was the result of that "help?" The Democrats did something that they hadn't managed to do when they
enslaved black Americans, persecuted them with Jim Crow laws, or terrorized them with the Ku Klux Klan:
they managed to nearly destroy the black family.
enemies of Jim Crow. Many Americans know that it took strong government action in the 1950s

as never before, the history of Jim Crow offers a cautionary reminder: When the political class
overrides the private sector, what ensues can be a national disgrace.
What is Black Conservatism? Respected
and well-informed nonwhite spokespersons are increasingly taking up the challenge of bringing conservative and
libertarian ideas to nonwhite audiences and bringing their own multicultural perspective to what has been a
largely white social and political movement. These spokespersons include Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell,
Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain, and others.
in a Liberal Minefield: America has passed another milestone on its march to equal opportunity
thanks to Robert Johnson, founder of Black Entertainment Television, who this week proved that a black
billionaire can be just as witless as are certain white billionaires who think their wisdom is commensurate
with their net worth. Introducing Clinton at a rally, Johnson called Obama a "guy who says, 'I want to
be a reasonable, likable Sidney Poitier in 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.'" For the uninitiated, that is
how you call someone an Uncle Tom in an age that has not read "Uncle Tom's Cabin."
guilt doesn't help blacks. Among some black intellectuals a new perspective has emerged, one
that puts racism and "white privilege" low on the list of problems plaguing black Americans. Shelby
Steele's latest book, "White Guilt" argues that whites do blacks no favors wringing their hands about
Oprah a Racist? Why carry water for Obama, but not Hillary Clinton or John
Edwards? From my vantage point, I can't see a scintilla of difference in their politics.
They're all left-wingers, after all, who believe that raising taxes is the solution to all problems.
The only difference I could see was the only difference that I could literally see — namely,
that Barack Obama was darker complexioned than the other two.
politics: Part III. Racial issues are just one of a growing number of issues where rational
discussion has become virtually impossible. Rational discussion would not serve the interests of the
Democratic Party, and the Republicans think that the way to increase their small share of the black vote
is to imitate the Democrats.
Census report sees
minorities becoming majority by 2042. In a new report out Thursday [8/14/2008], the U.S. Census
Bureau projects the nation will become much more diverse by midcentury, with minorities forecast to become the
majority population by 2042, experts said. The growing national diversity is also a trend seen locally,
particularly among Hispanics, experts said.
The Editor comments...
More diverse? The demographics are diverse whether the minority population is 4% or
40% — unless "diverse" is a just a politically
correct code word meaning
non-white, which is exactly the case.
Truth In Black and White: The term "black conservative" sounds like a strange twist of words to
the average American. There are certainly quite a few of them in America; they are not an endangered
species! In fact, I am one of them. Yet I am convinced that the simplistic moniker of liberal
vs. conservative is becoming outdated and meaningless.
Democrats and Apologies.
If Democrats are going to demand apologies for historic crimes, they need to inform themselves better about
their own party's history. The following racial crimes were perpetrated throughout American history by
The Democratic Party, its leaders and supporters
Sen. Robert Byrd
has admitted having been a member of the Ku Klux Klan and he filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights act supported
by Republicans in greater proportions than by Democrats;
Al Gore's father, Sen. Albert Gore Sr. also joined Sen. Byrd in the filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act;
Sen. Ted Kennedy's father, Democrat Joseph Kennedy, the US Ambassador to Britain, was rabidly anti-Semitic and
considered by the Nazi Ambassador to be "Germany's best friend" in London.
discrimination? Discrimination is simply the act of choice. When we choose Bordeaux wine,
we discriminate against Burgundy wine. When I married Mrs. Williams, I discriminated against other
women. Even though I occasionally think about equal opportunity, Mrs. Williams demands continued
Should blacks air dirty laundry
to a mainstream audience? Late last year, essayist John Ridley wrote an article for Esquire
magazine, using an in-your-face style to rip the black underclass. He went on to describe famous blacks
who've excelled in recent years — Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell — and argued that the
whole group benefited from their work. It's up to us, he wrote, to emulate their success.
Whiplash: The contemporary question of "race" is a question dealing with the derailment of
philosophy (and the corresponding decline of morality and ethics) in the postmodern era. ... It
is "alienation" not between black and white, but rather between God and man. The
urban black community has, in far too many instances, replaced God with the state and correctly sees the
neo-Marxist Democrats as the state party, their ultimate benefactors. (One might also argue that suburban
whites have replaced God with materialism, but that's another essay.)
Man who cried
prejudice is arrested. A black man who claimed discrimination in a lawsuit against one of the
Las Vegas Valley's toniest golf clubs has surrendered to federal authorities in Los Angeles after being
indicted in an alleged $5 million investment scam. On Tuesday [1/9/2007] the U.S. attorney's office
called Steven M. Ferguson "an economic predator with no legitimate employment," charging him with
24 counts of fraud and money laundering after he allegedly fleeced investors of millions in investment
schemes across the country over the last decade. If convicted, Ferguson could be sentenced to as much
as 225 years in federal prison.
Power: The New Conservative Stronghold. Black conservatives come in many sizes, shapes,
and party affiliations. The next two years are a perfect time for wise conservatives to build bridges
with the leaders of the "new black church". These church leaders are classical social conservatives.
They believe that government programs alone cannot stop crime, poverty, or poor schools. The new black
church is not waiting for a handout. They are promoting immediate change through wiser,
biblically-informed choices and personal accountability.
player dishonors true victims. Your crass, manipulative use of the race-card-for-money insults
countless men and women who endured indignities, marched and died, in order to provide you the right to work
as a firefighter — an opportunity historically denied to qualified black men and women. You,
sir, are a disgrace.
Virginia Tech's Professor of Hate:
Many have asked: "How could the English Department not recognize the horrific implications of these works?"
No one who wonders that, however, is familiar with the poetic oeuvre of one of Cho's own teachers, Virginia Tech's
Distinguished Professor of English and Black Studies, Nikki Giovanni. Among the most celebrated figures of
the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s and recipient of 21 honorary degrees, Giovanni has published poems strikingly
similar to Cho's plays in both vileness and incompetence.
Is immigration bad for blacks? Perhaps the
most tragic American paradox of the last half century is that as the legal and social restrictions hindering
black economic advancement diminished and a sizable black middle class emerged, a large fraction of black men
dropped out of the workforce and/or went to prison. … About one quarter of black male high school dropouts
are locked up at any point in time. Was immigration's depressing effect on wages responsible for this
by dissuading less skilled blacks from honest labor?
is the culprit in killing of black men. Of Baltimore's nearly 300 homicide victims each year, the
overwhelming majority of victims and killers are young black men.
Open Letter to the Black Community. Both personal and institutional racism will ultimately have
to be overcome by black achievement. We have got to personally pay the price to be in positions of
authority that set the direction of the nation. We will have to save ourselves by fighting for personal
success that affects our community. In other words, if I am a businessman, I must understand that I have
both an economic mission and a cultural assignment to create good jobs, wealth, and influence.
How the Voting Rights Act
promotes racial polarization: With Congress poised to extend, for another quarter-century,
certain "temporary" provisions of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, it's worth pondering some of the political
mischief taking place these days in the name of "voting rights."
By Any Means Necessary. A decision
Tuesday [8/29/2006] by a federal judge in Detroit could set the stage for a sweeping expansion of the Voting
Rights Act, which would turn the federal courts into a national campaign police.
blacks: Aside from [Senator John] Kerry being factually wrong about more blacks being in
prison than in college, his vision differs little from one that holds blacks as a rudderless, victimized
people who cannot control their destiny and whose best hope depends upon the benevolence of white people.
Martin Luther King's
Conservative Legacy: Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. was no stalwart conservative, yet his
core beliefs, such as the power and necessity of faith-based association and self-government based on
absolute truth and moral law, are profoundly conservative. Modern liberalism rejects these ideas,
while conservatives place them at the center of their philosophy. Despite decades of its
appropriation by liberals, King's message was fundamentally conservative.
Is for White People'. I grew up in a time when two-parent families were still the norm, in
both black and white America. Then, as an adult, I saw divorce become more commonplace, then almost
a rite of passage. Today it would appear that many — particularly in the black
community — have dispensed with marriage altogether.
My new contribution to
educational racism. The UNC system has a different view of the relationship between guilty and
innocent blacks. We are reminded of that every time a black student commits a crime on campus. The
practice of publishing a photo of a guilty black student — or merely attaching the word "black" to
a suspect's description in student newspapers — is met with scorn within the educational
community. This is because we bend over backwards to avoid punishing innocent blacks for the
sins of guilty blacks.
Myth Behind the Crisis in Black America. Two things caused the downward spiral of poor
blacks in Indianapolis and nationwide to the modern-day black underclass with which we are so familiar
today: (1) Adoption of a defiant anti-Establishment mentality as part of the countercultural
revolution of the 1960s, cloaked in what John McWhorter calls "therapeutic alienation," in which
righteous indignation against "the Man" for its own sake became praised by blacks and liberal
whites alike as a badge of black authenticity; and (2) the expansion of welfare from a temporary
assistance program for widows with children to a federal bureaucracy that basically subsidized
out-of-wedlock childbearing, personal irresponsibility and an aversion to work.
Workers claim racial
discrimination: Bias or shakedown? Twenty-two current and former employees have sued Ford
Motor Co., claiming the automaker allowed discrimination against black employees to fester unchecked in recent
years. … Tracing the lawsuits to their roots leads back, ironically perhaps, to a major push by Ford to
hire and promote minorities.
Black Activists Outraged Over
Liberal Merger of Abortion and Civil Rights. Inclusion of Planned Parenthood in a self-described
civil rights coalition has outraged members of the black leadership network Project 21, as Planned Parenthood
advocates and provides abortions -- particularly in the black community.
Abortions — Number, Rate,
and Ratio by Race, 1980 to 2003. Read the numbers for yourself. It is the
blacks who are suffering the most from abortion, yet most blacks continue to support the
pro-abortion Democratic Party.
Sen. Kennedy Bashed for
Illegal Aliens-Civil Rights Comparison. A black conservative minister and staunch
immigration reform advocate Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson Tuesday [4/11/2006] denounced Sen. Ted Kennedy for
comparing pro-illegal immigration rallies to civil rights marches for blacks half a century ago.
Black voters may
slip Democrats' grasp in 2006. This year, Democrats may lose their iron grip on the black
vote. About 90 percent of black Americans vote Democrat, rain or shine. But a growing
sense that Democrats take them for granted — plus several attractive, high-level black
Republican candidates who will fight for these votes — could make November 2006 and 2008
fascinating. For starters, President Bush's black support grew from 9 percent in 2000 to
11 percent in 2004.
Belafonte, Farrakhan speak at
Gary gathering. Entertainer Harry Belafonte has renewed his criticism of President Bush
during the second day of the 2006 National Black Peoples Unity Convention in Gary.
Black Flight: Something
momentous is happening here in [Minneapolis] the home of prairie populism: black
flight. African-American families from the poorest neighborhoods are rapidly abandoning
the district public schools, going to charter schools, and taking advantage of open enrollment
at suburban public schools.
Unions Fracture Maryland's Black Caucus. Maryland's African American lawmakers are deeply
divided in the emerging debate over same-sex marriage, which forces them to balance their communities'
bedrock religious convictions against a traditional commitment to civil rights.
Same-sex marriage is not a civil rights issue. Homosexual activists call it a
civil rights issue to generate support for the idea, but that is a sham and a fraud.
today: Like the March of Dimes' victory against polio in the U.S., civil rights organizations
can claim victory as well. At one time, black Americans did not enjoy the same constitutional
guarantees as other Americans. Now we do. Because the civil rights struggle is over and
won doesn't mean that all problems have vanished within the black community. A 70 percent
illegitimacy rate, 65 percent of black children raised in female-headed households, high
crime rates and fraudulent education are devastating problems, but they're not civil
rights problems. Furthermore, their solutions do not lie in civil rights strategies.
paradox that divides black America. Perhaps nothing else so encapsulates the
endless paradoxes of being black in America. Never have blacks had so much legal freedom,
yet there are record numbers in jail. Traditional black neighborhoods have collapsed into
drug-ridden crime strongholds, even as the black middle class is the biggest in history.
The "D" stands
for demagogue. The freaks come out at night. The demagogues came out on Martin
Luther King Day. Democrat N.Y. Sen. Hillary Clinton, perhaps looking to distract attention
from those pesky Code Pink protesters who've been dogging her over the Iraq war, commemorated the
holiday by pulling a reverse Sister Souljah at race hustler Al Sharpton's pulpit in Harlem. …
When a Democrat politician stumps at a church, you see, it's "minority outreach." When a Republican
politician stumps at a church, it's a theocratic outrage.
most destructive kind of racism. Paula Zahn devoted two of her hour-long CNN shows this week to
the topic "Skin Deep: Racism in America." After taking the time to watch, the question I walked away with
was: "What was the point?" In my view, the shows told us little that most of us don't already
know — strong racist sentiments exist in the country — and really never asked the deeper
and more important questions about what this means and why we should care.
blacks: Blacks have voted so overwhelmingly for Democrats for so long that Republicans have
few incentives to try to gain black votes — and little success when they do.
When Civil Rights Leaders Were
Civilized. An America where blacks run Merrill Lynch, American Express and the
State Department no longer needs civil-rights activism of the Rosa Parks and James Weldon
Johnson variety, and hasn't for decades. Thanks in large part to their diligence and
sacrifices, the battle for legal equality has been fought and won. Blacks still face
social and economic challenges, but these result mainly from self-inflicted cultural wounds,
not a manifestly unjust society.
Teachers for Black Studies? A Philosophical Critique of Multiculturalist
Pedagogy. Multiculturalists maintain that there is no such thing
as truth, only diverse opinions, each "true" in the opinion of the person or group
that holds it, none true absolutely. The increasingly popular notion that
instead of simple, universal truth, there is only "white truth" and "black truth," "female
truth" and "male truth," "gay truth" and "straight truth," threatens the integrity of
American universities, which had been distinguished by their commitment to discovering
and disseminating truth without trimming it to suit special-interest groups.
'Minority' Criticized As Outdated. The majority of residents in Texas, California,
New Mexico, Hawaii and Washington, D.C., are some ethnicity other than non-Hispanic whites,
according to Census Bureau population estimates released last week. Five other states,
including New York and Georgia, could make that shift by 2010.
Blacks, if a Nation, Would Rank High on AIDS. Nearly 600,000 African-Americans are living with
H.I.V., the virus that causes AIDS, and up to 30,000 are becoming infected each year. When adjusted for
age, their death rate is two and a half times that of infected whites, the report said.
in U.S. worse than previously thought, CDC says. While the epidemic has remained stable for most of
this decade, the new figures confirm that the brunt of the epidemic is being borne by gay men and young African
Americans and Latinos. There have been small declines among heterosexuals and injectable-drug users. Gay
men accounted for 53% of new infections in 2006, the most recent year for which data are available. The
infection rate among blacks was seven times that among whites, and the rate among Latinos was nearly three
times as high.
designations real, or just political? "Texas Becomes Newest 'Majority-Minority'
State, Census Bureau Announces." This was the headline of a recent U.S. Census Bureau
press release noting that Texas has now joined Hawaii, New Mexico and California as a state
whose "minority" population exceeds 50 percent of the state's population.
White children are now in the minority.
The youngest Anglo children in Hillsborough County and across Florida are now a minority, foreshadowing the day
when Florida — like four states now — becomes a majority-minority state.
Non-Hispanic whites in Florida accounted for fewer than half of all children younger than 5 last year,
according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates released today [8/15/2006].
Records said to dispute Tuskegee Airmen lore.
It has been part of the lore of America's first black fighter pilots since the end of World War II: The
Tuskegee Airmen never lost a bomber to enemy fire. But now, more than 60 years later, a leader of
the group says he has uncovered records proving the claim is not accurate.
You Can't Talk
About That. All of us were still haunted by what we'd been watching on our
TV screens through Katrina Week: the spectacle of several thousand black Americans openly,
nakedly displaying their helpless, hopeless, clueless, angry dependency. It was there, it
was real, though we're stuffing it down the memory hole now as fast as we can work our fingers.
Concept of Race Illegitimate? Several noted social scientists have argued that race
is an illegitimate concept and can only foster racism and related evils. The everyday concept
of race is too crude to serve molecular biologists and government policymakers well, but does it
follow that race is a completely arbitrary and meaningless concept that necessarily impedes
justice and social harmony?
Michael Jackson dodged a
bullet. Black Harvard sociologist Orlando Patterson said, "The sociological truths are
that America, while still flawed in its race relations … is now the least racist white-majority
society in the world; has a better record of legal protection of minorities than any other society, white
or black; offers more opportunities to a greater number of black persons than any other society,
including all those of Africa…."
Stealing Black History:
Deleting God from the black experience in America is cutting the heart out of a people's story.
of Language: navigating Ebonics. Communication is based on mutual
understanding and shared information, not broken sentences and questionable, slang-derived
expressions, the default language of the uneducated, undereducated, the abandoned, the
misrepresented and the disenfranchised.
designated a "civil rights" problem isn't. Does anyone really think
America suffers from an insufficiency of talk about race? What is in scarce
supply is talk about the meaning of the phrase "civil rights." Not every need is a
right, and if the adjective is a modifier that modifies, not every right is a civil
right — one central to participation in civic life.
rednecks and white liberals: Teachers are not supposed to correct black
youngsters who speak "black English" and no one is supposed to be judgmental about the
whole lifestyle of black rednecks. In that culture, belligerence is considered
being manly and crudity is considered cool, while being civilized is regarded as "acting
white." These are devastating, self-imposed handicaps that prevent many young
ghetto blacks from getting a decent education or an opportunity to rise to higher levels.
read: Thomas Sowell's new volume, "Black Rednecks and White Liberals," offers
a taste of some of his earlier work as well as a cornucopia of new insights. … The title
refers to the first essay, which argues that many of the traits commonly considered "authentically
black" are actually the inheritance of the white redneck culture amid which many blacks lived for
centuries. These include hair-trigger touchiness on the part of men, anti-intellectualism,
pride, sexual license, backwardness and laziness.
Reaction to Sowell's new book:
redneck? Some whites in the South have reacted with resentment at the
thought that they are being stereotyped as rednecks while some blacks resent anything
that suggests anything negative about themselves.
article is replete with quotations from vulgar, profane and obscene lyrics.
How Hip-Hop Holds
Blacks Back. Not long ago, I was having lunch in a KFC in Harlem, sitting
near eight African-American boys, aged about 14. Since 1) it was 1:30 on a
school day, 2) they were carrying book bags, and 3) they seemed to be in no hurry, I assumed
they were skipping school. They were extremely loud and unruly, tossing food at one
another and leaving it on the floor. Black people ran the restaurant and made up the
bulk of the customers, but it was hard to see much healthy "black community" here.
Memo to young black
men: Please grow up. Hip hop began as some sort of Afro protest doggerel and was very
quickly taken over by the gangster rappers, who emphasized the crudest materialism in which the ultimate
goal was money and it did not matter how one got it. The street thug, the gang member, the drug
dealer and the pimp became icons of sensibility and success.
Obama And The
Hip-Hop Problem: [Senator] Obama should take a look at a new report from the Parents Television Council
about three popular rap-music programs that air in the afternoon or early evening — "Sucker Free" on MTV and
"Rap City" and "106 & Park" on Black Entertainment Television for two weeks in December and a week in March. In 41
and a half hours studied, analysts found 282 uses of the N-word.
In those same hours, there were 143 uses of the
B-word to describe women.
The rap shows included 205 depictions or discussions of drug sale or use and other illegal
activity during the study period, for an average of 7.5 instances per hour, or roughly one instance every eight minutes.
videos give the wrong lessons in social behavior. The X-rated rap lyrics are troubling enough.
In addition to that, the videos portray raw anger over seemingly minor disputes, violent hyper-masculinity and
shallow materialism. But even more crass are the roles assigned to young attractive women: They are
inevitably cast as mercenary trollops, eager and available for any thug-style pleasure.
Hip-hop's contribution to society? Words that
aren't fit to print. The other night, for example, clicking between the Twins and Cleveland and
hockey's Vancouver and Dallas I stumbled onto one of the cable network's comedy shows. By comedy show,
I mean one in the seemingly endless showcases of primarily young black male comics performing before
primarily a young black audience. … Without exaggeration, I would say that this guy used every offensive
word possible, to his race in general and to women specifically, in the 25 seconds I watched.
wild hip-hop awards party. The awards began with the rapper called "The Game" winning
for "Hottest Hook" for a song called "Hate It Or Love It." The song has all the typical lyrics
about glorious gang-banging for big money and how he used to threaten to kill people over Nike
sneakers. When he won, he just had to declare from the stage that, "I want to thank God,
from whom all blessings flow." God must have been so pleased.
no to hip-hop's excesses. If the civil rights establishment is looking for a new
crusade, it needs to summon the guts to ignore the billions that flow through the hip-hop
industry. At the close of 2004 all top-10 rap singles ranked by Billboard used
the "n" word in their uncensored versions. … Black rappers are wearing the chains
of volunteer slavery.
cheat goes on. I am astounded by the naïvité of young people — black and
white — who actually buy the canned rebelliousness not just of rap music but of most
pop music. … It's all such an obvious con game. We hear so much about how kids today
are cynical, skeptical, media-savvy and so forth. But if they're buying this hooey, they're
The Democratic party: Modern day
slave master. The Democratic Party, the liberal "mainstream" media and the rest of the
cultural elites are having a very hard time handling Dr. Rice's rise to
power. They've waged a disgraceful, racist and cowardly back-door assault
against her. Why? Little Ms. Condoleezza has wandered away from the
plantation. She refuses to slave in the cotton fields of "progressive" ideology.
gig is up for Berry. After nearly a quarter century of mischief-making
at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Chairman Mary Frances Berry is on her way out
the door. Few government officials in the nation's history have managed to hold
on to power for so long or wielded it as autocratically and in pursuit of such radical
aims as has Dr. Berry.
dictator toppled (here at home). Mary Frances Berry, chairman of the U.S.
Civil Rights Commission, is resigning. Those scratch marks on the floor may be
from her fingernails as they dragged her from the building by her feet. Berry has
been a member of the commission for 24 of its 47 years. ... Berry departs with
allegations of mismanagement swirling about her head. The commission is small
potatoes, Washington-wise, with a budget of only $9 million and a staff of
only 70. But no one knows how that money has been spent over the past
12 years, while Berry has presided with an iron hand.
Clergy Denounces "Racial Motivated Attacks" on Condoleezza Rice. A
coalition of black clergy Friday [11/19/2004] denounced recent "racial motivated
attacks" by three editorial cartoonists, the Washington Post and the New York Times
upon National Security Adviser Dr. Condoleezza Rice, who was recently nominated by
President Bush to serve as the next secretary of state.
When liberals play the race
card: Look at the treatment of prominent black Republicans like National Security Adviser
Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of State Colin Powell. Liberal critics pull no punches in using race to
criticize them. Political cartoonists Pat Oliphant and Jeff Danziger drew political cartoons accentuating
Dr. Rice's black features and depict her speaking in rural Southern dialect. Garry Trudeau referred
to her as "Brown Sugar" in his comic strip, "Doonesbury."
Note: All the material about the Duke Lacrosse case has been
among the academic elite. Jon Entine, in his book "Taboo: Why Black Athletes Dominate
Sports And Why We're Afraid to Talk About It" (1999), says, "All of the 32 finalists in the last
four Olympic men's 100-meter races are of West African descent." The probability of such an
outcome by chance is all but zero. The genetic physiological and biomechanical characteristics
that cause blacks to excel in some sports — basketball, football and track — spell
disaster for those who have aspirations to be Olympic-class swimmers. Entine says, "No African
American has ever qualified for the U.S. Olympic swim or dive team.
Bigotry and Sports:
Although not too many years ago, sports-writing was considered the "toy department" of journalism, the boys and
girls in the press box have been eager to catch up to their counterparts in the "real" world. And so, they
are also no longer content with merely reporting the scores, trades and what have you; they must now generate
the news. And, similar to the mainstream media, they need divisive issues in order to push the agenda of
all J-school graduates: to change the world.
Selling out black Americans:
"We, black Americans are being displaced in Los Angeles," [Terry] Anderson told an indifferent Congress.
"We are being systematically and economically replaced. And the next time somebody tells you that the
illegals only take jobs that blacks won't do, just remember that we were doing those jobs before the
illegals got here."
conundrum. If unemployment is so high among young black men, why are we importing young
Hispanic men from Mexico and El Salvador to do construction work and other manual labor? ... Surely,
with unemployment among the young black community at above 30 percent, some of these projects could
hire black kids to do the hard work of construction. Why don't they?
Why more blacks support
Bush this year. According to two polls released over the week just passed, President Bush
has picked up significant ground among black voters. A New York Times poll showed black support
for the president at 17 percent.
No Respect for Diversity
in News Coverage of Rice 9/11 Testimony. It's not unusual for folks to
wonder if there is a double standard in the news media. Usually, that question
has to do with ideology, a liberal or conservative bias perhaps. But the headlines
about Dr. Rice's testimony are not about ideology, but about diversity in
views. The press just can't seem to understand that a well-educated black woman
could hold the views Dr. Rice holds.
discussion of race must address out-of-wedlock births. [Obama] did acknowledge that welfare
policies "may" have hurt black families. But he affirmed with certainty that "a lack of economic
opportunity among black men, and the shame and frustration that came from not being able to provide for one's
family, contributed to the erosion of black families." That's true. But it's also true that
African-American families were much more intact in the decades before the Civil Rights Act than they were
in the decades after it.
marriage and the disposal of fatherhood: Single motherhood is a predictor for
children at higher risk for teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, academic
underachievement, drug use and juvenile delinquency. Nowhere is this correlation more
strongly substantiated than in the African-American community — where 68 percent
of black children are born to unwed mothers and half of black males between
ages 18-35 are involved in America's criminal-justice system, according to a
study of urban youths in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.
Black men must reclaim our children.
As the mug shots of the alleged killers of NFL star Sean Taylor were shown on television, I kept wondering when
we were going to see their parents step forward. I saw a couple of mothers, but their dads were missing
in action. Dads matter, and it's ridiculous for us to act as if all it takes is a loving mom.
The Wisdom of Conservative Blacks:
Conservatism in America contends that by being self-reliant, getting an education, and holding dear the
importance of family values, all Americans should have the opportunity to achieve at least a comfortable
middle-class lifestyle. If you think about it, the idea of conservatism is nothing short of the "American
Dream." There are several voices within the conservative black community. They are not merely an
"echo" of each other, but individuals with an identity and a message in the spirit of Booker T.
Washington, Frederic Douglass, and Mary McLeod Bethune.
black voters rallying to Bush? At a time when one of the nation's primary
concerns is foreign affairs and terrorism, we have a black secretary of state and a black
national security adviser. Never have blacks held such top jobs in an
administration. Why then does The Washington Post/ABC poll done in May show
only 6 percent support among blacks for Bush?
HBO'S Anti-Whitewashed Fairy Tales: In
Jack and the Beanstalk, not only are all the players black but so even is a rabbit that jumps
out of a magician's hat. In Little Red Riding Hood (or "Happy Coat" in this China-based
tale) even the squirrels have almond-shaped eyes. That squirrels do not have the extra
fold that characterizes Asian eyelids is irrelevant. Even nature bows to the PC gods
at HBO. It seems only one major ethnic group has been left out. Of over
90 voices used in this series, just one appears to belong to a token white of
Bob Kerrey clarifies the liberal
view of blacks and women: It is widely believed in universities and in the media that
conservatives are more likely than liberals to be racist and sexist. I have long believed that the
opposite is true, that most Democratic politicians and most liberal activists, at the very least, do not
regard black people as they do all others and, at worst, believe that blacks are inferior.
damage to black America is enormous. One of the most dangerous myths in our
lifetime has been that liberalism and the Democratic Party are black America's best
friends. For all of us who desperately want African-Americans to prosper, the destruction
of this myth may be the single most important step to that end.
Real Racism: The
cultural Marxists are trying to get a fear of unfair criticism or name-calling to intimidate you and me into
failing to point out, speak out, and fight back against Political Correctness and those who are carrying

serious problems that all Americans, and especially black Americans, are suffering from today.
Election 2000: In 1911, President Woodrow Wilson wisely observed: "A nation which does not
remember what it was yesterday, does not know what it is today, nor what it is trying to do. We are
trying to do a futile thing if we do not know where we came from or what we have been about." This is
still true today, especially concerning African-American history. (Also available in

Federal Museum Denies Slavery in
Africa Was "Dehumanizing": The Smithsonian's African American history museum states that although
instances of slavery can be found throughout human history, the practice did not become "dehumanizing" until
white Europeans came along and took slaves to the Americas. In other words, the Smithsonian claims that
black-on-black slavery, which continues to this day, isn't dehumanizing, but white-on-black slavery was.
The Earliest Civil Rights
Efforts: The passage of the 14th Amendment, much like the 13th Amendment, was also along partisan
lines. In the House, it passed 138 to 36. Of the 134 Republicans in the House,
128 (96%) voted to provide civil rights to former slaves; of the 36 Democrats, none (0%)
voted to give civil rights to African Americans; and of the 11 third-party representatives,
10 (91%) voted in favor of racial civil rights.

Debating The Unmentionable: The Black-White IQ
Gap: The racial gap in average IQ is one of the most important factors in modern American
life. We can tell how important it is because we aren't allowed to talk about it. The IQ gap is
rather like the dog that didn't bark in the Sherlock Holmes story, palpable by its absence. Raising
black IQ was an explicit goal of Great Society programs such as Head Start … [But] When the 1960s-1970s

the most distinguished living American scientist, has now been kicked to the curb by the Cold

Race and IQ: Only
the repeated renorming of IQ tests upward created the illusion that blacks had made no progress, but were
stuck at an IQ of 85. But we would never have known this if some researchers had not defied the
taboo on studying race and IQ imposed by black "leaders" and white "friends."

Lino Graglia. Even when all the groups have had the same access to education, not all have seized
the opportunity to the same degree or put the same effort into it. No one with the slightest regard for
facts can deny that this is true in the United States today. Even black and white liberals have expressed
dismay that black children who try to do well in school are denounced by their peers for "acting white."
Education: At Baltimore's predominantly black Frederick Douglass High School
are four to five years below grade level. Most of its ninth-graders read at the third-, fourth- or
fifth-grade levels. In 2006, only 24 percent of its students tested proficient in reading, in
math just 11 percent, and that's an improvement over previous years. Only one student managed
to score above 1,000 on the SAT and another student scored 440 out of 1,600. You get 400 points
for just writing in your name. Out of its 1,100 students, 200 to 300 are absent each day.
States Help Schools Hide
Minority Scores. States are helping public schools escape potential penalties by skirting the No
Child Left Behind law's requirement that students of all races must show annual academic progress. With
the federal government's permission, schools aren't counting the test scores of nearly two million students
when they report progress by racial groups, an Associated Press computer analysis found.

King, Roe v. Wade and Margaret Sanger: Planned Parenthood founder Margaret
Sanger formed the organization to implement the eugenic ideology that prevailed in the
early 20th century. The eugenicists with whom she aligned herself espoused belief,
as Sanger put it, in the "supremacy" and "purity" of certain races of people, notably the
Aryan race. They believed the "fit" should be encouraged to reproduce, while the
"unfit" should constrain their numbers. The "unfit" were the poor, racial minorities
and certain groups of immigrants, and the physically and mentally handicapped. They
sought to accomplish this through sterilization, birth control and, eventually, abortion.
Negro Project: Margaret Sanger's Eugenic Plan for Black Americans. The
disproportionately high number of abortions in the black community is no accident. Many
Americans — black and white — are unaware of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret
Sanger's Negro Project. Sanger created this program in 1939, after the organization
changed its name from the American Birth Control League to the Birth Control Federation of
America. The aim of the program was to restrict — many believe
exterminate — the black population.

The Chains They Revere.
Why are so many of the young "misguided youth" in Baltimore so badly educated that they can
barely speak English? [...] Believe it or not, in 2011, the public education system in Baltimore
spent $15,483 per pupil... which was only second to NYC, which spent an incredible $19,770 to
basically produce the same wretched results. Of course, spending $15,483 per pupil is a total
waste of money when most of those receiving it drop out of school because they place no value on
it[,] just as the shattered "families" they come from see no value in it either, except to use it as
an excuse for their failure to make anything out of it. So there you have it, a complete Democrat
run city (for decades) spending a huge amount of money on a public educational system that is totally
controlled at every level by a key Democrat base group (the Teachers Union) which has instituted
every single "educational reform" advocated by the academic left for the last
40 years[,] and all it has produced is yet another generation of semi-literate and illiterate,
violent, utterly un-employable, lumpen-proletariat street thugs who only know how to make incoherent
complaints for the cameras about a society they live in, but in which they have no idea how to succeed.
or Not to Thug. As I expected, a number of the college students I instruct took
exception to the use of the word thug as applied to the individuals who created mayhem and

your Starbucks barista wants to talk about race relations. This week Starbucks patrons
in line for coffee may find themselves waiting for an impromptu discussion on race relations to take
place between barista and fellow patrons as part of the new "Race Together" social awareness
campaign initiated by CEO Howard Schultz. The idea is for a barista to write "Race Together" on
a customer's cup and then engage that customer in a dialogue about race relations in America.
"When did you first become aware of your race?" is one question a barista might ask a patron who is
interested in starting one of these free-range "organic dialogues," according to Starbucks' spokesperson
Linda Mills, in a phone interview.
Starbucks' push to
make baristas talk about race sounds like it could be disastrous. Starbucks has
launched an initiative to encourage its employees and customers to have conversations about race.
CEO Howard Schultz has given baristas at 12,000 Starbucks locations the option to write the words
"Race Together" on customers' cups and begin discussions about race relations.

Fights Racism; Racism Fights Back. If you need a conversation starter with your
Starbucks' barista, try this: What's up with all the black mob violence? Just as the coffee giant
announced its employees would be educating their customers about race relations, large-scale
episodes of black mob violence were breaking out across the country. Starting in Minneapolis,
where public officials get very, very testy during the rare occasion when anyone asks about black
violence in their tolerant city. "We don't keep track of arrestees by race," said police
spokesman William Palmer, which of course is not true. Not even close.
the cream in a cup of Starbucks. Money is nice but it can be distracting. Captains of
industry pile up millions and sometimes imagine that profits makes them prophets, wise and learned in
things they don't know anything about. Everybody wants to be rich. Not being rich in modern
America is a symptom of sloth, indolence and failure. People who aren't rich have to bear the taunt,
"If you're so smart, why ain't you rich?" But there's a corollary for blowhard capitalists who make
millions selling coffee at $4 in a paper cup and a humble cheese sandwich for $5. "If you're so
rich, why ain't you smart?"
Is There No Starbucks Coffee House in Selma? A story from fastcocreate.com showed just
what happens when you walk into a Starbucks wanting to engage in a discussion on race. Pretty much
nothing. The baristas are young kids, just trying to do their job and get through the day, and are
kind of embarrassed to even bring it up. I kind of feel sorry for them. It is the fault
of the mindless executives who put the Starbucks' employees through this, which is why I'm not a big fan
Starbucks Want an Honest Conversation? Each and every time we're hectored to engage in
an "honest conversation" about race, it's a sham. What's wanted is not honesty, but confession of
sin by white people and expressions of pain from blacks and others. Decade after decade, despite
vastly diminishing levels of white racism (and the rapid growth of non-white populations), we are
told that the old stain of racism continues to poison the lives of minorities. By encouraging
that fiction, Starbucks is subtracting from racial understanding.
tea, or a frank discussion on race? Starbucks is easy to make fun of on its best days,
what with the pretentious names for everyday items, never mind the ridiculously high prices for
those same everyday items. [...] Howard Schultz, the company's CEO, is launching a new initiative
called "Race Together." Starting March 20, baristas will be encouraged to write "Race Together" on
coffee cups "to facilitate a conversation between you and our customers" about their "race journey."
It's ironic. The Obama years were supposed to usher in an era of racial harmony. That didn't
happen — which presumably is why Schultz feels the need to help mend our racial wounds.
What has happened, however, is that hordes of college graduates, unable to find jobs suitable to
their degrees, have ended up toiling away at places like Starbucks.
'Race' Campaign Makes the Company a National Laughingstock. Has it ever occurred to
these soft-headed, guilt-ridden do-gooders that maybe, just maybe, we've been having a "conversation
about race" for half a century and, after electing Barack Hussein Obama twice, America is not in the
mood for another one? The fact that the campaign was widely mocked on Twitter and elsewhere was, in
fact, a healthy sign that Americans simply don't want to be lectured to on the subject anymore, especially
by some barista armed with corporate talking points.
Whose idea was this, and why does (s)he still have a job?
Ends Conversation Starters on Race. The initiative, which began last week, was mocked
with such vehemence on social media that the company's senior vice president for global
communications deleted his Twitter account because, as he wrote on Medium, he felt "personally
attacked in a cascade of negativity." Some critics said that Starbucks might look first to its
own executive team, which they suggested was considerably less diverse than lower-paid staff.
Others felt that a coffee company should not foist such discussions on customers.

Sidebar #2: The curious case of Rachel Dolezal
This story has several ingredients: Race-based opportunism, fake hate crimes, playing the affirmative action
system for personal gain, fabricated victim status, and a shining example of left-wing liberal dishonesty.
I don't know whether it
was is self-hatred, white guilt, or something else motivating
Ms. Dolezal, but I doubt if her charade is unique.
race faker Rachel Dolezal causes outrage as she lectures black South Africans about her 'struggle' with being 'trans black'.
American race-faker Rachel Dolezal has returned to the limelight with her first ever visit to Africa on a lecture tour about race —
a move which has been met with outrage, calls for a boycott and a string of scathing memes. Police flanked Ms Dolezal's first key note
event after a hostile meeting with mostly black students who objected to her insistence that she had 'an authentic black identity' despite
admitting to being 'biologically white'. The 39-year-old, who was labeled an 'ethnic fraud' after passing herself off as a black woman
for more than a decade, recently took a Nigerian name to make herself sound more authentic.
Dolezal changes her name to African phrase that means 'gift of God'. Rachel Dolezal legally changed her name in
October to reflect the heritage she claims she identifies with. The 39-year-old white former NAACP leader filed to
change her name to Nkechi Amare Diallo, according to court documents in Spokane, Wash. Nkechi, short for Nkechinyere, comes
from the Igbo word for "what God has given" or "gift of God" in Nigeria. Diallo, which has African origins, means "bold."
Dolezal's Hilarious Name Change. People seem to take faux female Bruce Jenner more seriously than bogus black
person Rachel Dolezal. [...] Why settle for pretending to be African American when you can pretend to be African? If
the name change doesn't convince anyone of her authenticity, maybe Rachel should try putting a plate in her lip.
'Trans-Black' Rachel Dolezal Changes Her
Name to Nkechi Amare Diallo. Former NAACP branch president Rachel Dolezal, who gained global notoriety for claiming to be black and now insists
she's "trans-black", quietly changed her name to Nkechi Amare Diallo last October. Dolezal changed her name in a Washington court back in October 2016,
according to a Daily Mail exclusive. First name Nkechi, short of Nkechinyere, originates from the lgbo language of Nigeria and means "what God has
given" or "gift of God".
Dolezal Is Nearly Homeless, On Food Stamps And Still White. Former NAACP branch president Rachel Dolezal, who
lied about being black but still identifies as black, is now jobless, living on food stamps and expects to lose her home next
month. "There's no protected class for me," the former NAACP branch president told The Guardian. "I'm this
generic, ambiguous scapegoat for white people to call me a race traitor and take out their hostility on. And I'm a
target for anger and pain about white people from the black community. It's like I am the worst of all these worlds."
The Editor says...
It appears to me that all of this trouble is self-inflicted.
Dolezal has become a nightmare for the 'transgender' fantasists. The news that Rachel Dolezal claims to be on
the verge of homelessness threatens progressives with the internal contradictions of their dogma becoming public. [...] Had
Dolezal pretended to be male instead of black, she would be a heroine to progressives. Her comparison of race and sex
as categories that can be self-defined is a grave threat, because sex is much more fundamentally biological in nature than
race, existing at the chromosomal level. A person either has two X-chromosomes (and is therefore female) or has an X-
and a Y-chromosome (and is male). There is zero ambiguity. But when it comes to race, there is an actual spectrum.
Black Woman Rachel Dolezal Set To Speak At MLK Event. Just when you thought (hoped?) that fake black woman
Rachel Dolezal had left the premises for good, you find out that's not the case. In fact, she's now slated to speak at
a fucking MLK event, if your mind can even comprehend such buffoonery. In case you've forgotten what this fraud is all
about, let me refresh your memory.
Dolezal is back in the spotlight and regrets nothing. Rachel Dolezal made a desperate bid to stay relevant Tuesday
[4/12/2016], saying she has no regrets over the race controversy that made her infamous — and doesn't wish she was simply
more upfront about her tale. Dolezal, 38, the former NAACP chapter president in Spokane, Washington, who last year was outed
by her own parents for masquerading as a black woman, remained dumbfounded when given the chance to clarify her tale.
The modern malleability of gender and
race. A number of prominent white people have declared themselves to be of a different race, apparently on the theory
that they are transracial. Activist professor Ward Churchill and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren both in the past had falsely
claimed Native American heritage. Rachel Dolezal, a former Africana studies professor and NAACP chapter president, fraudulently
asserted that she was African-American. Black Lives Matter organizer Shaun King has been facing allegations that, despite
identifying himself as black, he is in fact white. King has also claimed to be a victim of a hate crime perpetrated by
supposedly racist whites, though his account of the incident has also been called into question. [...] Presumably, Dolezal
would not have become a chapter president of the NAACP had it been known that she was white. Shaun King translated his
racial status into a high-profile activist role.
Dolezal's True Lies. For a time this summer, it seemed all anyone could talk about was
the N.A.A.C.P. chapter president whose parents had "outed" her as white. The tornado of public
attention has since moved on, but Rachel Dolezal still has to live with her choices — and
still refuses to back down.
Dolezal Left Behind. The truth is, Spokane needs Rachel Dolezal. Yes, she lied to
the entire community and when given the opportunity (several of them, in fact) to be honest and to
try to mend fences, she flew off New York to talk to Matt Lauer about it, canceling a public meeting
with her own constituents at the Spokane NAACP, a constituency she still hasn't addressed. But
Spokane has an underlying race problem that Dolezal, consciously or not, was able to exploit for her
own gain. It is not a new problem, but it's one that locals have mostly preferred not to discuss.
Maybe that's about to change.
Are Playing a Racial Shell Game. A few weeks ago, a woman named Rachel Dolezal,
another self-proclaimed expert on race (she taught Africana studies and was, until recently, the
head of the Spokane, Wash., chapter of the NAACP), was revealed to be faking it. Dolezal is white
underneath her bronzer and braids. Rather than apologize for her fraud, she spoke eloquently about
the fact that she just feels black.
The Activist America Deserves.
Rachel Dolezal — the former Spokane NAACP head who falsely, and with remarkable assertiveness, claimed to be
African-American before her actual parents emerged last week — has already outlived the limitations of the
six-hour news cycle. Her behavior is so bizarre, her history so variegated, and the mélange of hesitance
and stubbornness she projects in interviews so hard to pin down, that she's only gathering steam as her story plays
out. Nothing she does really matters, but everything she does is intensely interesting.
Dolezal Accused of Misconduct on Spokane Police Oversight Board. The Washington state woman who resigned from
her NAACP leadership post after questions were raised over her racial identity has been accused of misconduct while on a
Spokane commission that oversees police conduct. Rachel Dolezal, 37, is accused in an independent report commissioned
by the city of creating an intimidating workplace environment and with improperly revealing the names of people involved in
police misconduct investigations during public meetings.
Rachel Dolezal: The Silver Lining.
Maybe there is a silver lining to the Rachel Dolezal / Sen. Elizabeth Warren race frauds. If racial identity and gender identity have become
matters of personal preference, i.e., how you choose to identify yourself is how the world should treat you, then the entire race-based / gender-based
affirmative action apparatus could be brought to its knees. Suppose all the Asian students denied admission to Harvard decided to check the
"African-American" box on their applications, instead of the "Asian" box? When challenged, they would simply say, "Well, I always felt more
African-American than Asian; heck, I've never even been to Asia."
Her. On June 7th, Elinor Burkett published an Op-Ed in the [New York] Times
expressing what she portrayed as a feminist's reluctant skepticism about aspects of the transgender
movement. She argued, in part, that the notion of men simply transitioning into women was equivalent
to a white person darkening his or her skin and professing to be black. The example was meant as a
reductio ad absurdum — but, less than a week later, Rachel Dolezal, the president of the
Spokane, Washington, chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and a
professor of Africana studies, was unveiled as a white woman who has for some years presented
herself and identified as black.
case upping the ante on Granny Liz. Rachel Dolezal is Elizabeth Warren on steroids.
Granny was a fake Indian until she got what she wanted — tenure — and then she went
back to being "Okie down to her toes," as she put it. On the other hand, Rachel —
and may I call her "Racial"? — is a nut case. She really believes she's black.
Dolezal: No 'biological proof' I'm my parents' daughter. Rachel Dolezal, an NAACP
activist and the daughter of a white couple who claims to "identify as black," told NBC News Tuesday
night [6/16/2015] that "there's been no biological proof" that her mother and father are actually
her parents. Dolezal, who resigned Monday as president of the African-American advocacy group's
chapter in Spokane, Washington, after her parents said she'd been misrepresenting her racial heritage,
told NBC's Savannah Guthrie, "I haven't had a DNA test. There's been no biological proof that
Larry and Ruthanne are my biological parents."
setback': Activists fret about Rachel Dolezal impact. Civil rights leaders in this
largely white city that lies between the Cascade and Rocky mountains are worried that the ruse
perpetrated by former NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal will hurt efforts to move the region beyond a
troubled racial past.

Wait a minute. These are the same people who say, "Never blame an entire group for the actions of a few."
Yes, Rachel Dolezal Is
Black. So what distinguishes [Bruce] Jenner from [Rachel] Dolezal? On what basis can
we reject Dolezal's blackness, given that the left has now redefined objective reality as self-definition?
If you want to be a woman, you are a woman. If you want to be black, why can't you be black?
'Racial Hucksters' Giving Dolezal a Pass Because She's Liberal. According to
conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, Rachel Dolezal is getting a pass on questions about her
racial identification because she's a liberal. "There will be every exception and every
accommodation made for an individual who is not being honest if that individual happens to be a
liberal," Ingraham said on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning [6/16/2015]. "If Rachel had been
more right-of-center in her political views and tried to pull this thing off, Al Sharpton and Jesse
Jackson, the entire racial huckster crowd, would be all over her. But she signs from their choir
book, so she gets the accommodation."
Rachel Dolezal appears on the Today show. Rachel Dolezal today [6/16/2015] insisted
that she is 'definitely not white' as she slammed suggestions that she is taking part in 'some
mockery blackface performance'. [...] In the unapologetic live interview — her first since the start
of the scandal — Dolezal said she would do nothing differently if her younger self knew what she
knows now, claiming that her life has been about making choices for her 'survival'. When asked
by Today host Matt Lauer if presenting herself as a black woman for years was akin to wearing
blackface, she insisted that was not the case.
the white flag: Rachel Dolezal's insulting assumptions about her NAACP colleagues.
Bi-racial openness has been a venerable NAACP tradition dating to the group's formation early in the
20th century by white New York liberals and black activists. Two white Jewish brothers, Joel and
Arthur Spingarn, served as top officers of the national NAACP, including as its president, from 1913
to 1965. So Dolezal needn't have tinted her skin or curled her hair to join the Spokane unit's
advocacy. But she apparently believed that she needed to be black in order to persuade the members
to accept her as their leader and face of the organization. In other words, she saw her colleagues
as harboring anti-white racism.
Dyson Implies Rachel Dolezal Is More Black Than Clarence Thomas. On Monday's

[6/15/2015], just days after her parents told local media outlets that their daughter had
misrepresented herself as fully or partially black. In reality, they said, their daughter's ancestry
is German, Swedish, and Czech, with some Native American background as well. WTTG reported that
Dolezal filed her lawsuit against Howard in 2002, asking for damages due to "medical and emotional distress."
Dolezal Steps Down as Head of Spokane NAACP. Dolezal was supposed to address the media
on Monday [6/15/2015] regarding her parents' claim that she was actually white and had been
pretending to be black for years, but that didn't happen. [...] Instead of addressing the media,
Dolezal addressed the NAACP executive committee and members in a Facebook post on the Spokane
chapter's page, saying, "The dialogue has unexpectedly shifted internationally to my personal
identity in the context of defining race and ethnicity."
about Rachel Dolezal linger as NAACP members react. Members of the Spokane NAACP
chapter plan to demonstrate today over the controversy enveloping their president, Rachel Dolezal,
who said Sunday [6/14/2015] she's not ready to face them and explain claims she has lied about her race.
someone mention the NAACP?
cancels meeting where Rachel Dolezal was to address race questions. Rachel Dolezal,
the leader of the Spokane NAACP, has postponed a meeting scheduled for this evening where she was
expected to speak about misrepresenting herself as black for years. The civil rights activist's
parents sparked furor after they revealed last week that she has falsely portrayed herself as black
for years even though she is actually white.
Dolezal sued Howard University for discriminating against her because she's white.
This was in 2002, before the "transition." [...] She lost the suit but Dolezal's issues with Howard
were well known to her family. Her history with the school is fascinating, in fact, and may be a
window onto why she began to try to pass as black in the first place.
identify Rachel Dolezal as a lying, deluded idiot. [Scroll down] Well, it's not
really that complex is it Rachel? You're either black or white. And you're in fact white, as
your whole biological family confirms. It would be understandable for you to be confused if
either of your parents were black, but they're not. They are resolutely, incontrovertibly white.
The black man you claimed was your father for years in interviews is not actually your father.
Your real father, as you well know, is a white man called Larry.
Dolezal Once Told A Student She Did Not Look Hispanic Enough For A Class Activity.
Former students from Eastern Washington and Howard Universities told BuzzFeed News about their
classroom encounters with Rachel Dolezal, who taught courses in Africana studies and studio art.
Rachel Dolezal resigns,
according to letter on NAACP Facebook page. Her statement was noticeable for what it
was not. Rachel Dolezal, president of the NAACP chapter in Spokane, Washington, resigned Monday [6/15/2015]
amid allegations of lying about her race. She stepped down in a statement that did little, if anything, to
suppress the storm brewing around her and her family. [...] Dolezal did not address the allegations. She
did not apologize.
Harris-Perry: Can Someone Be Cis-Black or Trans-Black? MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry
asked Saturday on her self-titled show whether Spokane NAACP President Rachel Dolezal, a white woman
who has been pretending to be black, "may actually be black."
Rachel Dolezal, Ethnic
Politics and the World of Make Believe. There is something comedic and pathetic about
the story of Rachel Dolezal. Ms. Dolezal, 37, is the president of the NAACP local chapter in
Spokane, Washington and a part-time Africana Studies professor at Eastern Washington University.
It turns out that after claiming for years that she was black — including on applications,
posting pictures on a Facebook page of an African-American man she falsely claimed was her father,
and insisting that her adopted brother (who is black) was her child — Ms. Dolezal is
actually white. Her birth certificate proves it. And her biological parents, Ruthanne
and Lawrence Dolezal, have confirmed it.
'Rachel Dolezal No Longer Works for Eastern Washington University'. Breitbart News
spoke with David Meany, the person in charge of media relations at Eastern Washington University
(EWU), where Rachel Dolezal was listed as a professor of Africana Studies. He said Dolezal's
contract with EWU expired June 12th and she is "no longer an employee of Eastern Washington University."
The Editor says...
Isn't that an amazing coincidence, that her contract expired the day after her parents revealed her true identity!
And notice how easily they can let her go, now that she's not black.
Objective Truth Takes a 'Backseat' to Liberal Narrative on Race. Nationally syndicated
radio host Sean Hannity said [6/12/2015] that Rachel Dolezal's "transracialism" shows how objective
truth is being forced to take a "backseat" to liberal racial identity politics. Dolezal is a
white woman who resigned from her position as president of the Spokane, Washington chapter of the
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Monday after being criticized for
portraying herself as black.
Rachael Dolezal's assertion that she is black could pave way for folks choosing a 'racial
identity'. Years ago, even before Sen. Elizabeth Warren was exposed for identifying
herself as Native American (which she is not), I believe I was the first person in the world to
assert that transgender activism by Chaz Bono (and now by Caitlyn Jenner) could sow the seeds for
people not only to assert their core gender identities, despite DNA evidence to the contrary, but
also to assert their racial identities, despite physical and historical evidence to the contrary.
If a man with male anatomy and a "Y" chromosome can assert he is female and be put on the covers of
celebrity magazines and given awards for bravery, why can't a white woman assert that her internal
identity is that of a black woman?
Al Sharpton's wrong about Rachel Dolezal's parents. Dolezal resigned Monday as the
NAACP leader in Spokane, Wash., just days after news broke that she was actually white and had only
been masquerading as a black woman. And we now know enough to understand that her parents didn't
have much choice about outing her to the media.
Jumps the Shark. [Scroll down] This week, we have Rachel Dolezal, head of the
Spokane NAACP who for a couple of decades has been pretending to be black and the victim of parental
and spousal abuse, rape, and hate crimes. We might excuse this behavior as the product of a
troubled mind, but as with [Elizabeth] Warren, [Bruce] Jenner, and the mattress girl, there are
external payoffs for such deceptive behavior. As Powerline reports: "For Ms. Dolezal,
being black wasn't just a delusion. It was, seemingly, a career choice." Pretending
to be black landed her a position as Adjunct Professor of African-American Studies at Eastern
the Rachel Dolezal Scandal Teaches Us. The internet was on fire on Friday, June 12,
2015. News broke that 37-year-old Rachel Dolezal is not black. She had presented herself as black,
and that presentation played a role in her positions as president of the NAACP in Spokane, Washington, chair
of Spokane's Office of Police Ombudsman Commission, professor in the Africana Studies Program at Eastern
Washington University, former education director of the Human Rights Education Institute, and licensed
diversity trainer and consultant for human rights education and inclusivity in regional schools.
Dolezal's skin is café-au-lait-colored; this shade is perhaps the product of self-tanning or other ruses.
She claimed to be the daughter of dark-skinned black man, and the mother of two dark-skinned black boys.
Dolezal is neither. Rachel Dolezal's parents went public with photos. In fact she is naturally
peaches-and-cream complexioned, blonde-haired, and green-eyed. The two boys she tried to pass off
as her sons are her adopted brothers.
Dolezal's Brother Says She Warned: "Don't Blow My Cover". Ezra Dolezal told BuzzFeed
News that his adopted sister warned him to not tell anyone in Spokane that she wasn't really black
as she started a new life for herself.
Sharpton Scolds Rachel Dolezal's Parents: 'Are You Really Gonna Do This To Your Kid?'.
Al Sharpton has some questions for Lawrence and Ruthanne Dolezal about why they waited until Friday
to appear on TV to discuss their controversial daughter, Rachel Dolazel. Dolazel's parents outed the
NAACP local president as a white woman pretending to be black, and Sharpton was approached by TMZ
one day later to give his thoughts. When asked if what the Dolazel parents did was wrong, Sharpton
first brought up the NAACP description of the story as a family dispute, but then said that Rachel's
parents were trying to create a distraction from her activism in social justice.
The Left Can't
Handle An Inconvenient Truth. Identity politics is a prized possession in the Left's
arsenal until someone uses certain identities in a way in which the Left disapproves. They initially
shout: "Be who you believe you are, and present yourself in the way you want!" Only, they're lying.
They don't mean be free to be your (chosen) self. They really mean be free to be your (chosen) self
only if it's what they allow at that moment and in line with the narrative they wish to promote.
This is why the situation involving Spokane, Washington NAACP President Rachel Dolezal is making the
Left so defensive. It shows the hypocrisy of their convenient tolerance.
leader Rachel Dolezal lied about being black: parents. An NAACP leader and prominent civil rights activist in
Washington state has been pretending to be black for years, her parents admitted local media Thursday [6/11/2015]. Rachel
Dolezal, who heads Spokane's NAACP chapter and teaches Africana studies at Eastern Washington University, refused to directly
answers any questions about her alleged racial ruse after it was exposed. A KXLY reporter bluntly asked her, "Are you
African American?" After a stunned pause, she replied: "I don't understand the question."
NAACP president outed as white woman by her own parents. If you can choose your gender, why not have the ability to
choose your race? That appears to be the argument shaping up to explain the bizarre case of NAACP Spokane, Washington
chapter president Rachel Dolezal, whose parents have gone public with the fact that she was born blond and blue-eyed.
leader and civil rights activist outed as WHITE by her parents who say she's been pretending to be
black for years. The parents of a white NAACP leader who claimed to be African American
have claimed that she cut them out because she didn't want them ruining her image. Larry and
Ruthanne Dolezal spoke from their home in Troy, Montana on Friday after they revealed that their
daughter, Spokane's NAACP Chapter President Rachel Dolezal, has been misleading people about her
ethnicity for years. Dolezal, who has been a civil rights activist across Idaho and Washington
and works part-time as an Africana Studies professor at Eastern Washington University, is now facing
a city ethics probe for falsely claiming on an application that she was black.
to become black in three easy steps. Rachel Dolezal is the blonde, green-eyed head of
the Spokane NAACP chapter who claimed to be black. Unfortunately for her, her parents came forward
to reveal that neither they nor she was, in fact, black. She also claimed that (1) a very
dark-skinned black man was her father (he wasn't), (2) she was born in a teepee in Montana and grew up
hunting with bow and arrow, (3) her mother beat her with something called a "baboon whip" because she
was black, and (4) she received hate mail from a racist group, even though the mail she turned over
to the police turns out never to have been mailed in the first place (oops!). Surprisingly, the
liberal media is supporting her. After all, she is a liberal. This creates a tremendous
opening: if a blonde, green-eyed woman can be black, anyone can be black! Given the
advantages in jobs, schooling, and government contracts, the only surprising thing is that more
people don't do it!
Psychology of an Ethnic Fraud: Behind Rachel Dolezal's Invented Persecution. Something
very strange seems to be going on with Dolezal and her family. Her biological, white parents outed
her in the first place. Meanwhile, she's identified a third party (a black man) as her real father,
and is alleged to have claimed one of her black adopted brothers is actually her son. Dolezal has
accused her parents of child abuse, and specifically of using a "baboon whip" to beat her and her siblings.
[...] Why would a person co-opt a position of marginalization and victimization in such a highly visible,
risky, and outrageous way? What type of brokenness, misguidedness, illness, or malice inside a person
would lead them them to do such a thing? Her case suggests more than just a deep-seated problem,
something more than just a highly narcissistic form of histrionic personal disorder, or an unhealthy
need for obsession and approval.
Strange Case of Rachel Dolezal. What to make of Rachel Dolezal, the "trans-racial" woman in
Washington state who not only posed as a black person, but made a career out of it? [...] For Ms. Dolezal,
being black wasn't just a delusion. It was, seemingly, a career choice: She Is An Adjunct
Professor of African-American Studies at Eastern Washington University.
You Need to Know about Transracial Hero Rachel Dolezal. [Scroll down] She Has
Repeatedly Claimed To Be The Victim of Anti-Black Hate Crimes. She says Idaho white supremacist
groups burglarized all of her homes when she lived in the state, and explained that they felt "threatened
by female power." She says they threatened to kidnap her son, Franklin, and "hung nooses in her
home." No arrests were ever made. This week, Spokane police released information about Dolezal's
most recent complaint: that she received hate mail. But according to the Spokesman-Review,
it's highly possible she sent it herself.
Rachel Dolezal Isn't Black, How Is Caitlyn Jenner A Woman? Spokane NAACP president Rachel Dolezal, a
professor of Africana Studies at Eastern Washington University, was outed earlier this week by her parents as being
white. In what has to be one of the more bizarre news stories of 2015, Dolezal pretended for years to be black.
Social media accounts posted pictures of a black man who she said was her father (he's not). She regularly wrote
about her black son Izaiah (he's actually her adopted brother). It also appears as though she repeatedly lied
about being the victim of race-based hate crimes. She claims to have been the victim of at least nine separate
under fake hate crimes.
Rachel Dolezal not only fake her race, but fake 'hate crimes,' too? There's been a lot of sturm und drang
stirred up over the Rachel Dolezal fakery regarding her race. But in the background, there is a troubling issue that
is going largely unreported. Dolezal has reported several instances of "hate crimes" that police have been unable to confirm,
including "hate mail" directed at the NAACP that was never sent through the regular mail and, according to postal employees, could
only have been placed in the organization's post office box by someone with a key.
Harris-Perry on Rachel Dolezal: 'It Is Possible That She Might Actually Be Black?'. If
you've been following the Rachel Dolezal story online, you may have seen the word "transracial"
being thrown around and people saying choosing to be black is like Caitlyn Jenner choosing to be
female. It's unclear how much of it's sincere and how much is just straight-up trolling, but MSNBC's
Melissa Harris-Perry entertained the notion on her show today with kind of a huge question. "Is
it possible that she might actually be black?" While not wanting to make the transgender
comparison, Harris-Perry questioned whether one can be "cisblack and transblack," and whether
there's a way to describe "the achievement of blackness despite one's parentage."
Rachel Dolezal finally admits she was born
white. The civil-rights activist, who shot to infamy earlier this year after she was caught on video denying the fact that she is a
white person pretending to be a black person, made what turned out to be a noteworthy appearance on Fox's The Real earlier today [11/2/2015].
Dolezal II: Andrea Smith.
the Native American Rachel Dolezal. Andrea Smith — an associate professor
at University of California, Riverside, the founder of INCITE! Women of Color Against Violence, and
a leading Native American studies scholar and activist — may not, in fact, be a Cherokee
woman, despite repeatedly presenting herself as such since at least 1991. I first saw Andrea
Smith in 2013 when she delivered a keynote at the Southeastern Women's Studies Association (SEWSA)
conference and, although her program bio did not explicitly mention that she was Cherokee, she was
widely understood by conference goers to be a Native American speaker.
Blast 'Wannabe' Native American Professor. "I have always been, and will always be
Cherokee." This is University of California, Riverside professor Andrea Smith's official response
to recent allegations that she is not Cherokee, an identity that she has claimed throughout her
decades-long career as a prominent figure in Native American scholarship and activism. In a blog
post on Thursday night [7/9/2015], Smith maintained that she is Cherokee, that she has "consistently
identified [herself] based on what [she] knew to be true," and that "[t]here have been innumerable
false statements made about [her] in the media."
Dolezal III: Shaun King.
Black Lives Matter Organizer Shaun King Mislead Oprah Winfrey By Pretending To Be Biracial? An investigative
blogger has accused Shaun King, a key figure in the Black Lives Matter movement, of misleading media icon Oprah Winfrey by
pretending to be biracial in order to qualify for an "Oprah scholarship" to historically black Morehouse College. The
blogger says King is white and has been lying about his ethnicity for years.
Black Lives Matter organizer and Oprah scholarship recipient who claims he has been the victim of a hate crime 'revealed to
be white'. A key figure in the Black Lives Matter movement who claimed he was the victim of a horrific hate
crime in his youth as a result his race has been outed as white. Shaun King, an author and writer who is one of the
leading voices speaking out against police brutality on social media, has claimed he is biracial in numerous interviews.
King has said that his father is black and his mother is white and of Irish descent — but his birth certificate lists his
parents as both white.
Lives Matter' Organization Being Run by White Guy Pretending to be Black. Remember last month when a white
woman named Rachel Dolezal had been caught after lying about being black for 10 years and had to resign as head of a Calif.
NAACP chapter? Well, now we have a white guy who have been pretending to be black exposed as the main organizer behind the
so-called "black lives matter" organization!
Man Claiming to be Black Running 'Black Lives Matter' Scammed Oprah Winfrey for Black Scholarship Award.
Earlier today [8/19/2015] we revealed that one of the key organizers of the so-called "black lives matter" group is a white
guy who has been lying for years and claiming he's actually black. Well, now more info is coming out on him and one
interesting tidbit seems to show he scammed Oprah Winfrey for a scholarship that was supposed to only go to a black kid.
King, activist for the Black Lives Matter movement, outed as a white man. It's the apparent second coming of
Rachel Dolezal. Shaun King, a prominent leader in the Black Lives Matter movement, has been claiming to be biracial
when he is actually a white man, according to a report published Wednesday [8/19/2015]. King, 35, denied the report.
Shaun King says man on birth certificate isn't his biological father. After coming under fire by a slew of
conservative Web sites that claimed he lied about his biracial identity, prominent social justice activist Shaun King told
The Washington Post Thursday [8/20/2015] that he is biracial because he is the son of his white mother and a black man
whose identity he does not know. The white man whose name appears on King's birth certificate, he says, is not his father.
Dolezal IV: Susan Taffe Reed.
Race on the Left. Last week's removal of yet another pretend minority by New Hampshire's Dartmouth College
shines light on a phenomena of behavior exhibited almost exclusively by the political left in America — instances
of Caucasians pretending to be ethnic minorities. It[']s odd behavior to say the least, and behavior that is rarely if ever
exhibited by anyone but liberals. Last month Dartmouth, an Ivy League and therefore almost by definition an uber-liberal
school, named Susan Taffe Reed as new Director of its "Native American Program." [...]There's was just one problem. She's
