The Target Boycott of 2016, and Other News About Target
Introduction by The Editor:
This page is about the nation-wide boycott of Target stores resulting from the company's decision to
allow transvestites into their stores' opposite-sex restrooms. The boycott has been kept quiet by the
national news media; however, the internet has bypassed the news media (again) to spread the word, and the
boycott has been very effective. (Subsequent news reports about Target's sales slump and plummeting stock
price have put the blame everywhere except the restroom policy.) Target is being boycotted because they made
the decision to take the lead in this fight. Other stores and businesses may eventually follow, but
Target wanted to stand out as the trend-setter.
Target
CFO: 'Organized retail crime' contributed to hundreds of millions in lost profits in 2022.
With all due respect to Walgreens CFO James Kehoe, inventory shrinkage mostly at the hands of organized
retail crime is still worth crying over if you are a retailer. Take Target, for example. "It
[inventory shrinkage] was certainly a headwind [last year]," Target CFO Michael Fiddelke told Yahoo Finance
on Tuesday [2/28/2023]. "We know we're not alone in seeing elevated levels of shrink and organized
retail crime driving some of that theft." Fiddelke said the profit impact amounted to "hundreds of
millions of dollars of headwind." The issue is likely to challenge Target's bottom line in 2023, he added.
Target
lost $600 million in profits this year due to shoplifting and looting. It was all fun and games with
"social justice" until wealthy investors started losing money from it, which is exactly what is now happening to those
who hold shares in the Target retail chain. Shoplifting has apparently gotten so bad at Target — and we
say apparently because this is the excuse that Target's top dogs are using — that the company expects
to lose a total of $600 million in profits this year. Target's gross margin rate dropped from 28 percent in last
year's third quarter to 24.7 percent this year. Higher markdown rates and inflating freight costs are also
shouldering some of the blame.
Target
Has Horrible Earnings This Quarter, Blame It On Losing 600 Million Dollars In Shoplifting. Target is the
latest big retailer blaming shoplifting for putting a big hit on its profits. The company said its gross margin
rate dropped from 28% in last year's 3rd quarter to 24.7% this year. Along with shoplifting, referred to as shrink
in the industry, the company blamed higher markdown rates and freight costs for dragging down profits. The company
says "inventory shortage or shrink" is a major drain on profits and it "is a growing problem." Target expects
theft to cost it $600 million in lost profits this year. [Video clip]
Target:
'Organized retail crime' has driven $400 million in extra profit loss this year. Target stores are getting
looted, and it's taking a huge bite out of profits. The discount retailer told reporters on a call to discuss its
third quarter earnings results that inventory shrinkage — or the disappearance of merchandise —
has reduced its gross profit margin by $400 million so far in 2022 compared to 2021. "At Target,
year-to-date, incremental shortage has already reduced our gross margin by more than $400 million vs. last
year," Target CFO Michael Fiddelke said on the earnings call, "and we expect it will reduce our gross margin by
more than $600 million for the full year." Fiddelke detailed how there are "a handful of things that can drive
shrink in our business and theft is certainly a key driver. We know we're not alone across retail in seeing a
trend that I think has gotten increasingly worse over the last 12 to 18 months. So we're taking the right
actions in our stores to help curb that trend where we can, but that becomes an increasing headwind on our business and
we know the business of others." A Target spokesperson told Yahoo Finance via email after the call the shrinkage
was mostly specifically attributed to "organized retail crime."

Target Pushes Transgender Lifestyle on Youth, Retailer Sees 90% Decline in Profits.
Woke retailer Target has recently suffered a significant decline in profits as it pushes to
normalize the transgender lifestyle. On Wednesday, Target revealed that its second-quarter
profits for this year have fallen nearly 90% after being forced to slash the prices on unwanted
merchandise. The company's second-quarter net income was only $183 million, after earning
$1.82 in the same period last year. In the first quarter, Target also saw its profits fall by
52%. Target CEO Michael Fiddelke spoke on the company's recent financial struggles, explaining
that they must quickly get rid of the inventory overflow and prep for a successful holiday season.
Target's
profit fell 90% as it got rid of excess merchandise this summer. For much of the pandemic, Target Corp. turned
insatiable demand into record growth. But Wednesday, executives at the Minneapolis company had to explain a significant drop
in profit. Target's profit fell 90% in the May-through-July period as the company cut prices and canceled orders to get rid
of items that weren't selling. It warned in June that inventory had grown out of hand. "The vast majority of the
financial impact of these inventory actions is now behind us," Target CEO Brian Cornell said.
Target
overhauls flagship store entrance, citing 'disruptive activity' in downtown Minneapolis. The downtown
Minneapolis Target store is making changes to the building to address safety concerns and encourage more shoppers to come
inside. The hustle and bustle of downtown Minneapolis is home to Ninth Street and Nicollet Mall. "It's a busy
corner. Here's a lot of foot traffic and buses that come through here," said Justin Miller, who works downtown.
But not everyone comes to the area to dine or shop. For the last few years, the intersection has become a magnet for
crime in the city. The activity has made its way in and outside of Target.
Target
will slash prices to get rid of inventory, warns profit will shrink this summer. Target Corp. will cut prices,
cancel orders and take other steps to cut its bloated inventory, moves that will lower its profit in the current quarter more
than executives thought just three weeks ago. "Over the past several weeks, we've continued to assess the broader
retail environment and I think it's no secret right now based on what's been reported, the level of inventory across all
retail is pretty high," said Michael Fiddelke, Target's chief financial officer, in an interview with the Star Tribune.
Customers might see prices drop on TVs, outdoor furniture, and kitchen appliances as Target tries to push them out the door
to make way for better-selling merchandise.
Inviting transvestites into the restrooms has nothing to do with this, I'm sure! Target
plunges 26% as soaring costs lead the retail giant to widely miss quarterly earnings expectations. Target
shares sank on Wednesday [5/18/2022], as surging costs resulted in a big miss in quarterly earnings and a reduced
outlook. The stock fell as much as 26% to $159 by midday, the lowest price since November 2020. Target's
first-quarter earnings announcement caught the attention of the broader equity market, with US stock futures swinging lower
following the release. Consumer staples stocks were the worst-performing during the regular session, with their
collective 5% drop fronting the S&P 500's nearly 2% decline.
Food-stamp
recipients are the new frontier for Target's online service. Target Corp. is preparing to let shoppers use food
stamps to pay for online orders, following in the footsteps of Walmart Inc. and Amazon.com, in a move that could help the
Minneapolis-based retailer gain market share among lower-income shoppers. Roughly 21.7 million U.S. households use food
stamps, which are mostly restricted payments to cold food items, non-alcoholic beverages and seeds and plants. Target
disclosed to Reuters last week that it will begin to accept payment online with food stamps, tentatively starting later this
month, through a service offered by Shipt, its delivery arm. A Target spokesman said that it hadn't "shared any
official launch date" for the service, which also will include drive-up and pick-up orders.
Woman,
41, stole $40k from same Target store in 120 incidents in 12 months. San Francisco's 'woke' District Attorney
Chesa Boudin has finally charged a 'prolific' female shoplifter, 41, who stole $40,000 in merchandise from the same Target in
120 incidents over a one-year period. Aziza Graves was arrested Tuesday for her alleged shoplifting spree about two
weeks after voters forced Boudin into a recall election, with a petition yielding 83,000 signatures — far above
the 51,000 required by the city. The push to hold Graves responsible only came after Target demanded that Boudin launch
an investigation, which revealed that the store, at the Stonestown Galleria shopping mall, was hit by the same person more
than 100 times between October 2020 and November 2021.
Rise
of the Vaccine Bullies. The first time in my memory where one of these bullies openly wielded his power was in
2016, when Target stores announced that their customers will have men in women's bathrooms and dressing rooms. Customers
overwhelmingly rejected this policy, but Target's answer was "take it or leave it." And even though more than 1.4 million
consumers chose to leave it, Target survived the massive boycott. The message was clear: big corporations can indeed
push the little people around with impunity. Fast-forward to 2021, and the positional bullies unite behind a propaganda
success: the "pandemic." As bullies are wont to do, they bark orders that hurt people, destroy lives.
Target's
iconic downtown San Francisco store closing amid shoplifting frenzy. Target is disputing a report that it is
closing its iconic downtown San Francisco store amid claims the store is plagued by shoplifting threats costing the retailer
at least $25,000. The California Globe reported that Target is shuttering its store on Mission Street between Third
and Fourth Streets. But Target says the story isn't true. A Target spokesperson said it is not closing the
Mission Street store, but confirmed the retailer will close a different downtown San Francisco store on Bush Street in
November because of underperforming sales.
Whites need not apply. Best
Buy commits up to $10M investment towards BIPOC startups. Best Buy is continuing to build its investments
towards supporting Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) entrepreneurs, as the company announced on Thursday an
investment up to $10 million with Brown Venture Group. The venture capital firm focuses exclusively on Black, Latinx
and Indigenous technology startups in emerging technologies. The Minnesota-based company notes that BIPOC entrepreneurs
can face barriers as well as a lack of access to funding, and stated this move will help "empower the next generation within
the tech industry."
Target
joins Walmart, Chipotle and Starbucks in offering 100 percent free college tuition and textbooks in bid to attract
workers. Target will offer its workers free tuition and textbooks at more than 40 colleges starting this fall,
joining other major corporations offering similar benefits to attract workers as pandemic unemployment benefits are scheduled
to run out next month. The Minneapolis-based retailer said Wednesday that it plans to spend $200 million over the next
four years on free undergraduate and associate degrees for its part-time and full-time workers in the US, including those on
their first day on the job. Its partner institutions include Morehouse College, the University of Arizona, Oregon State
University, the University of Denver, eCornell and Paul Quinn College.
The Unlivable
City. People are fleeing California in general, and San Francisco in particular, in droves. As to San
Francisco, the fundamental problem is lawlessness. Which means not just violent crime, which the city has in abundance,
but a breakdown in the fundamental norms of civilization that make urban living possible. The main problem is that San
Francisco's far-left city administration has decided not to prosecute theft. The result, naturally, is an epidemic of
theft. Thus Target, for example, is now closing its San Francisco stores at 6 p.m.
Target,
Walgreens make drastic changes due to increase in San Francisco thefts. According to the California Retailer's
Association three cities in our state are among the top 10 in the country when it comes to organized retail crime -- Los
Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento. Already we are seeing the negative impact it is having in San Francisco with
stores permanently shutting down or closing early. It has become one of the most pressing issues in our city today.
Target has now acknowledged that San Francisco is the only city in America where they have decided to close some stores early
because of the escalating retail crime.
Target
Will Close San Francisco Stores Early Due To Rising Thefts. Retail chain Target will be closing its stores in
San Francisco, California, early due to increases in shoplifting in the city. ABC 7 reported that Target acknowledged
San Francisco's high retail crime by closing its stores earlier in the day in an attempt to cut down on shoplifting.
"For more than a month, we've been experiencing a significant and alarming rise in theft and security incidents at our San
Francisco stores, similar to reports from other retailers in the area," a Target spokesperson told NBC Bay Area in a
statement Friday night. "Target is engaging local law enforcement, elected officials and community partners to address
our concerns. With the safety of our guests, team members and communities as our top priority, we've temporarily
reduced our operating hours in six San Francisco stores."
The
Woke Learn What Consequences Are. After years of unpunished retail theft, Target has decided to close six of
its area stores early. [Tweet] Of course, the outcry is that this is racist — because these stores are in
predominantly poor, minority neighborhoods. So, while the woke are learning what consequences are, they certainly
aren't willing to accept and learn from them. The reality is that Target, no matter how much money they give to Black
Lives Matter or how many rainbow stripes they put on their logo during the month of June, is still a business. They can
act as woke as they want in their advertisements, but if they can't make money doing something, they aren't going to keep
doing it. When local DAs and city councils bless the idea that petty theft is not a crime, allowing people to walk in
and steal hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise without even being arrested, this is what you get.
Target
store closings show limits of pledge to Black communities. When Target announced that it was opening a store in
Mondawmin, a predominantly Black neighborhood in Baltimore, a city struggling with crime and poverty, it seemed like a ticket
to a turnaround. And from the start, it was a practical success and a point of community pride. The store, which
opened in 2008, carried groceries, operated a pharmacy and had a Starbucks cafe — the only one in this part of
Baltimore's west side. People came from across the city to shop there, helping to soften the Mondawmin area's
reputation for crime and the looting that followed protests over the 2015 death of Freddie Gray, who was fatally injured
while in city police custody. As an employer, Target seemed to cater to the community's needs, making a point of hiring
Black men and providing an office in the store for a social worker to support the staff. Elijah Cummings, the
congressman from Baltimore, was known to shop there. But in February 2018, with almost no warning or explanation,
Target closed the store.

Several questions come to mind immediately. Was 2015 the last time the store was looted during a race riot? Has the
store recently experienced a rash of shoplifting, about which the police will do nothing? A department store operates only
if it makes money. When a store closes, there's always a reason, and the reason starts with a dollar sign.
St.
Paul Target employees offended over Juneteenth display in break room. Several employees at a St. Paul
Target store complained to management about a tabletop display in the break room for Juneteenth that included cherry Kool-Aid
packets, watermelon candy and servings of hot sauce. The display was set up for Juneteenth by a human resources manager
at the Midway Target on University Avenue and had different iterations before it was removed on Tuesday [6/22/2021] following
concerns by workers that the table was offensive and glorified stereotypes of Black people, employees said.
The Shot Heard
Round The World. At Concord Bridge in 1775, a revolution started when a handful of American colonists stood up,
refused the King's orders, and said they would make their own decisions about how to live their lives. The ripple
effects changed the world. The next American revolution may have just begun, not at Concord but at Target. Within
the last few days, an employee of Target went to work and — sick and tired of having her rights trampled
upon — refused to wear her mask as directed by her employer. She informed her manager that she would not
comply with his directive to wear the mask, that there was no scientific basis for the rule, and that there was no legal
authority, which would allow him to enforce it. The employee added that she was in contact with the legal team at
America's Frontline Doctors (AFLDS) specifically an attorney named Tom Rentz, and had retained his services. The Target
manager directed the woman in question to go home and advised she was being terminated. Within 24 hours she was
contacted at home and called back into work. The mask requirement was dropped. Apparently, somebody at Target's
legal department knew the name Tom Rentz and had bothered to check the law.
Target
Is Selling Book That Has Prayer To Help You Hate White People In Their Religious Section. The book titled "A
Rhythm of Prayer" by Sarah Bessey, which contains passages from multiple authors, is on sale for $14.87 on Target's website
and is listed in the store's "Religion + Beliefs" section and "Christian Life" subsection. "On Saturday, one of the
members of my church sent me these images of a 'devotional' she found in Target," Ryan McAllister, lead pastor at Life
Community Church in Alexandria, Virginia, tweeted on Wednesday [4/7/2021] with photos of the passage in question titled,
"Prayer of a Weary Black Woman" by author Chanequa Walker-Barnes, Ph.D. McAllister added that the passage is "completely
anti-biblical." The passage is a prayer from the author, asking God to help her "hate White people" or "at least
want to hate them." [Video clip]
Target
pledges to spend $2B on products, services from Black-owned businesses. As part of its racial equity efforts,
Target Corp. is pledging to sell products from more than 500 Black-owned brands by the end of 2025. That goal is part of
a new $2 billion commitment the Minneapolis-based retailer is making to spend with Black-owned businesses over five
years. The company did not provide specifics on how much it currently spends with these companies, but said the
commitment represents a significant increase. Target currently carries 65-plus Black-owned brands, including several in
its beauty department. In addition to diversifying its suppliers, Target said it will step up partnerships with other
Black-owned companies in areas such as marketing, construction and facilities management. It also will launch a new
program called Forward Founders to help Black entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses for mass retail.
Other news about Target: Whites need not apply. Target
pledges to increase number of Black employees by 20%. Target Corp. plans to increase its number of Black
employees by 20% over the next three years as part of its growing efforts to build a more diverse and inclusive company,
executives said. The Minneapolis retailer on Thursday announced its latest commitment to racial equity as it also made
public more detailed information about the ethnic and gender makeup of its employees and leaders. Target's total
workforce last year was 360,000, with 25% of employees Latino, 15% Black, 5% Asian and 5% people who identified as mixed
race, American Indian or other underrepresented groups. However, the diversity is less the higher the position, with
61% of managers, 71% of company officers and 75% of Target's leadership team being white. For example, Black employees
account for only 5% of Target's executives or senior level officials and managers.
Target's
Chief Sounds Alarm on Pullback by Hispanic Shoppers. Target Corp. Chief Executive Officer Brian Cornell
is sounding alarm bells over the state of Hispanic shoppers in the U.S. — a key growth demographic for many
retailers and consumer brands. "The Hispanic consumer in the U.S. is shopping much less," Cornell said at the Fortune
Brainstorm Tech event Tuesday [7/18/2017] in Aspen, Colorado. "They are staying home. They are going out less often."

The article immediately above makes no mention of perverts in the restrooms, or a nationwide boycott. Instead, the
writer seems to blame President Trump and an irrational fear of deportation for Target's problems. That might be plausible
if every retailer in town had the same problem, but Target is the one store that's whining about poor sales. Maybe Target's
problem has something to do with competition, in addition to the pervert-friendly restrooms.
Target's Moonbattery Has Been Costing It a Fortune.
The left-wing social engineers who run Target are discovering that moonbattery does not pay: [...] That is, men were invited
to use private facilities intended for women, as part of the progressive War on Reality. [...] Sure enough, perverts have
taken advantage of the policy.
The Target
boycott cost more than anyone expected — and the CEO was blindsided. Target triggered a nationwide
boycott last year with a single blog post — and it turns out the message was as big of a shock to the company's
CEO as it was to some shoppers. The blog post, published in April 2016, publicized a policy that said transgender
customers were welcome to use the bathroom or fitting room that matched their gender identity.
Target shares
plunge on weak sales outlook. Target Corp. reported a steeper-than-expected decline in fourth-quarter
same-store sales and said it expected sales to continue to fall this fiscal year, sending its shares tumbling 13 percent in
premarket trading Tuesday [2/28/2017]. The company has struggled with declining sales as shoppers increasingly gravitate
to online retailers such as Amazon.com Inc. and spend more on big-ticket purchases such as cars and home renovations rather
than electronics, food and apparel.

Or maybe it's because Target took the lead in welcoming transvestites and perverts into their restrooms, and now
there's a massive nationwide boycott of Target as a result.
Unprecedented
Target sale spurred by boycott. After a nationwide boycott dropped Target sales for the first time in years
following its controversial transgender policy, the large retailer is announced the launch of a first-or-its-kind sale to win
customers back. The unprecedented storewide 10-percent discount on everything in its stores and online was announced by
the pro-LGBT corporation in an effort to bring in more back-to-school purchases and boost shopper traffic on Sunday.
Target
bathroom boycott is costing the company $20 million and shopper traffic is down for the first time in years.
Target's decision to take a stance on a social cause appears to be bad for business. Shopper traffic has been declining
for the first time in years, ever since the company issued a statement in April, saying transgender customers were free to
use whichever bathroom they wanted at their store locations. The statement was in response to a North Carolina bill
that was signed into law in March, requiring students at state school to sue the bathrooms of their birth gender.
Target
to spend $20 million on single-stall bathrooms after backlash to its restroom policy. Target said Wednesday it
is preparing to spend $20 million in the coming months to add single-stall bathrooms along with men's and women's restrooms
in its stores, a move meant to accommodate shoppers who have expressed concern about the retailers' policy of allowing
customers and employees to use the bathroom that corresponds to the gender they identify with. "Some of our guests
clearly are uncomfortable with our policy, and some are really supportive," said Cathy Smith, Target's chief financial
officer, in a conference call wither reporters.

You'll never see me in a Target store again, even if there's a bathroom with my name on the door and a deadbolt lock. Target's upper management
wanted to be the leaders in this battle over the alleged rights of deviant sex perverts. There are plenty of other places to shop.
5 Reasons
Why Fewer People Are Shopping at Target. If you've been shopping less at Target lately, you're not alone.
Foot traffic in stores is down 2.2%. Comparable store sales fell 1.1% during the May-July period, the first time in two
years there's been a decline during these months.

Bias alert: The article above included no mention of the company actively inviting deviant sex perverts into the
women's restrooms, or anything about an effective and well-deserved nationwide boycott.
Update: Clueless writers at MSN are completely baffled by this development! People
May Be Unhappy With Target, and It's Starting to Show. Target has long been loved by people because it's a fun
place to shop. At least it used to be a fun place to shop. Customer satisfaction with the total shopping
experience at Target has declined for a fourth consecutive period, according to a new survey of 2,500 people done by
investment bank Cowen. Declines in customer satisfaction were seen across the board, led by drops in customer service,
merchandise selection and product quality. Overall, Cowen says customer satisfaction at Target plunged 383 basis points
to 66.7%. It appears unhappy Target shoppers could be taking their business elsewhere.
Texarkana
Repeals Transgender Bathroom Ordinance. The issue of transgender access to bathrooms and locker rooms of the
opposite sex — which came to the forefront of the public mind in April when Target announced its new
policy — has been quietly incubating behind the scenes for longer than most Americans are aware. The battle
has been brewing for many months in places as diverse as Washington State and Texarkana, Arkansas, as the radical Left has
conspired to create this issue and introduce it by stealth and deception. And while communities all over the country
are waking up to find that this issue has moved into their cities, counties, and states, many are organizing efforts to
defeat it and return sanity to their communities.
Men
Flood Target to Film Teen Girls after Allowing Males in Female Changing Rooms. Retail giant Target has been in
the news a lot lately following their transgender bathroom policy and the many crimes occurring in its stores. However,
now, it appears the retail outlet is face a wave of men who are snooping on young teen girls and videoing them as they are
changing due to the policies of the store allowing men in women's changing rooms.
Target
CEO takes heat from shareholders about transgender bathroom policy. Brian Cornell, the chairman and CEO of
Target, took several questions from disgruntled audience members at the annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday concerning
the retail giant's stance on transgender bathroom and fitting room access. Justin Danhof, who heads the Free Enterprise
Project and was in attendance at the meeting, asked Mr. Cornell whether he believes those who oppose the company's
stance are bigots. "Didn't answer the question," Mr. Danhof said of the business executive's response. "He
gave a vacuous statement on, 'We believe in diversity, we believe in inclusion, and everyone should feel safe in our stores.'"
Target
CEO Claims Bathroom Policy Not Hurting Sales. Target made a decision to jump into the middle of a politically
charged issue. They made an open statement that their restrooms and changing rooms would be pro-transgender. As a
result, a massive revolt and boycott against Target happened. Sales and stock prices of Target dropped like a rock.
Target
boycott has directly cost company $9.2 billion in market cap to date. There is some confusion and denial in the
mainstream media over the real impacts of the ongoing boycott of Target because of its controversial bathroom policies
allowing men into women's rooms and vice versa, which came into force April 19. The left-of-center Associated
Press released a superficial report last week on the causes of Target's current financial situation: [...]
Woman
marches through Target blasting transgender bathroom policy. A video of a woman parading around a Target store
with a Bible protesting the retail company's transgender bathroom policy has gone viral. Fox 8 Cleveland reported
Tuesday [5/17/2016] the unidentified woman in the Youtube video is carrying a Bible through the store and yelling, "America,
when are you going to wake up? It's time to take a stand and have a voice." The woman, who said she's a mother
of 12, called Target's bathroom policy a "wicked practice" and said she wouldn't shop there. Some people begin to
walk out of the store during the two-minute video.
What's Really
Behind America's Transgender Mania? With the U.S. economy on life support, record numbers of illegal aliens
invading the nation, and ISIS targeting the American homeland with mass-casualty attacks, the Obama administration has made
transgender rights — which Vice President Joe Biden calls "the civil rights issue of our time" — an
urgent focus of its final months. However, spurred on by reports of an 8-year-old girl being strangled unconscious by a
33-year-old man in a girls' restroom Friday, Americans are pushing back. Obama's just-announced school edict mandating
transgender bathrooms for the entire nation's children is being met with fierce resistance. Target Corporation's stock
value plunged after more than a million Americans publicly pledged to boycott the store over its bathroom policy, and North
Carolina is now suing the federal government for its "bullying," "overreaching" attack on that state's new bathroom law.
Deviant behavior must be really important to them. More important than staying in business. Target's
Cornell says retailer stands by its transgender bathroom policy. Target Corp. will stick with its policy of
allowing transgender customers to choose the bathroom they wish to use as part of the company's long history of supporting
diversity and inclusion, chief executive Brian Cornell said Wednesday [5/11/2016]. At the same time, he offered an olive
branch to those who have been upset by the policy and said the company will add family restrooms to all of its stores, an
option for people who worry about the mixing of sexes in bathrooms. Cornell made the remarks during an appearance on
CNBC's "Squawk Box" program. He noted that more than 1,400 of the company's 1,800 stores already have family
restrooms. In the next few months, Target will put them in the rest of its stores.
Texas
raises stink over Target's transgender bathrooms. The Lone Star State is coming to the rescue of shoppers
confused over whether to leave the seat up or down in Target's transgender bathrooms. The nation's second-largest
discount retailer announced on April 19 that they would "welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or
fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender." In response, more than 1.1 million customers joined a boycott
sponsored by the American Family Association.
The Editor says...
In addition to the 1.1 million people who signed the petition, there are others, such as myself, who will not enter a Target store
again. I wasn't going to use their restroom anyway, but that's not the point. The point is that Target is friendly to
deviant sex perverts who are gradually ruining our society. Target has stepped in it. There are plenty of other
similar stores, and the prices of nearly everything are lower at all of Target's competitors.
Target
Stock Drops in Wake of Transgender Bathroom Policy. Target's stock has dropped and more than 1 million consumers
have pledged to boycott the retail giant after it announced an "inclusive" policy allowing individuals to use the restroom or fitting
room of their choice, based on their gender identity.
Politics
Has Ruined Everything Fun. Target was my all-time favorite store — bright, well-lit, with fun
displays and great products. But Target couldn't allow that cheerful joviality in their stores. Nope —
they had to step in and take a stand against 99.7% of their customer base. They proudly issued a policy that anyone —
man, woman, pervert, pedophile — can use the bathroom of his choice. The result: I don't shop at Target
anymore, because the stigma of politics has infected the store and because I'm hesitant to use the bathroom.
Soft Target. About 1.4 million
people signed a pledge to boycott Target stores over the company's transgender bathroom and fitting room policy.
Target's same-store sales during the same quarter were down for the first time in two years. Is there a connection?
Target officials say no, and they have been giving other reasons ever since they announced on Aug. 17 that foot traffic
had fallen 2.2 percent and comparable store sales were down 1.1 percent in the May to July period. Target
says sluggish grocery sales, a clumsy transition of Target's pharmacies to CVS, and falling sales of Apple products were to
blame. Retail analysts also point to competition from Amazon.com.
One
million Americans vow to boycott Target over transgender bathrooms. More than one million people have decided
they will no longer buy their Nutter Butters or Wet Wipes at Target. The American Family Association launched a boycott
of the nation's second largest retailer a week ago — over Target's corporate policy allowing men who identify as
women to use the bathrooms and fitting rooms of their choosing.
Pledge
to Boycott Target on Pro-LBGT Stance Reaches 1,000,000 Signatures. A pledge to boycott all Target stores over
the company's stance on transgender issues reached 1 million signatures on Thursday night, one week after it was
launched. The pledge came as a response to the company's decision to open restrooms and changing rooms to men and women
who identify as the gender opposite their own biological sex. The one million signatures represent a major victory for
those who hold to the biological and cultural belief that human beings are either male or female. Last month, North
Carolina Governor Pat McCrory signed a bill stating that multiple-stall restrooms should be reserved to persons who are
biologically male or female. Companies across the nation shot back, condemning the common-sense law as "discriminatory"
and "anti-LGBT."
Target
Stock Drops Amid New Bathroom Policy And Boycott. Target stock prices dropped in 10 days after the retailer
announced a new policy to allow customers to use whichever bathroom or fitting room accords to their gender identity.
On Friday [4/29/2016], the shares of Target Corporation Common Stock fell 2.52 percent in one day, according to recent
reports. In addition since April 19th, the day they announced the new policy, the stock went from a share value of
$84.14 to $79.27 per share. That's a drop of 5.8 percent in 10 days. The Family Policy institute says they
estimate that to be a loss to the company of $2.5 billion dollars. Shortly following Target's new policy, the American
Family Association launched a petition to boycott the store. As of Friday afternoon [4/29/2016] they had received over
one million signatures.
Target's
market cap down $6 billion since start of transgender bathroom policy. After announcing on April 19 that
it "welcome[s] transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their
gender identity," Target faced an instant and broad public backlash that led to a boycott petition being posted online by the
American Family Association the next day. The petition currently has 1.24 million supporters, and undoubtedly a
much larger share of the public disagrees with Target's policy. If stock prices are any indication, the boycott effort
and other negative publicity have severely hurt Target's financials.
The Editor says...
Target is being boycotted because they made the decision to take the lead in this fight. Other stores and businesses may eventually follow,
but Target wanted to stand out as the trend-setter. They won't see any more of my money.
Target boycott reaches another
milestone. The American Family Association's "Boycott Target" petition has received 1.5 million signatures. AFA's Walker Wildmon
made the announcement earlier today on American Family Radio. "It has officially reached 1.5 million signatures," said Wildmon. "So that's
a great victory, it's a great milestone in what I view is a highly successful boycott of Target." The announcement comes one year to the day that Target
announced a policy allowing transgender employees and customers to use the bathrooms and changing rooms for the gender with which they say they identify.
AFA then announced a boycott, saying the policy puts women and children at risk of sexual predators who take advantage of the transgender policy.
Stand
Up to Left-wing Activist Bullies. Our cowardly silence, not alerting the public to the depths of the Left's
assaults on all things moral and upright has emboldened Leftist activists to continue spitting upon, slapping, and punching
traditional American values every day. Consequently, Leftist activists plan to legalize 12 new perversions and trample
more cherished values underfoot. [...] Americans are finally pushing back. Almost 500,000 Americans signed a pledge to
boycott Target for allowing men to use women's restrooms and dressing rooms in their stores.
ABC
Censors Massive Boycott Over Target's New Transgender Policy. ABC loves citizens speaking out on controversial
issues — except when it goes against the liberal agenda. The boycott pledge against Target's transgender
policy boasts more than 700,000 signatures. But the American public wouldn't know that from watching ABC's news
shows. It's not like ABC can plead ignorance of the outcry by Target customers. The other two broadcast networks,
NBC and CBS, considered the boycott a story important enough for their national news shows this week.
Of course: Missouri man caught
filming women in Target dressing room. Oh by the way, he'd done it before, and when cops arrested him, he had a
loaded handgun. Let's get this out of the way right at the start: No one is mistaking Matthew Foerstel for a
"transgender person" for lack of the better one-word noun I'm sure someone will come up with very soon. He's clearly
just a male pervert going where he's not supposed to be. I don't even think he's claiming to "identify as a woman."
ESPN
Fires Analyst for Opposing Men in Women's Bathrooms. It has been established that the "transgender" agenda
isn't based on science but ideology, yet this hasn't stopped entities such as retailer Target from allowing men to use
women's restrooms. And it didn't stop sports network ESPN from firing former MLB pitcher and game analyst Curt
Schilling for criticizing that very policy. The controversy began Tuesday [4/19/2016] when Schilling weighed in on the
North Carolina "bathroom bill" and shared a satirical meme critical of the transgender agenda on Facebook.
Boycott
Target underway after superstore declares men can use women's bathrooms. After Target announced that it would
welcome "transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender
identity," the American Family Association is now asking customers to boycott the superstore in a new petition. "The
American Family Association is calling for a boycott of Target after the retail giant said it would allow men to use the
women's restrooms and dressing rooms in their stores," the petition states. "This means a man can simply say he "feels
like a woman today" and enter the women's restroom... even if young girls or women are already in there."
