Durham Finds the Importance of Nellie Ohr.  Paul Sperry at RealClearPolitics has an article today citing one part of the Durham report that deserves a little CTH attention.  I hope you will forgive my indulgent snickers, as the graphic you see below was created by me in early 2018, a full five years before the release of this Durham report.  I even referred to the Steele Dossier as the Nellie Ohr Dossier.

Ex-DOJ Official and Wife Had Bigger Roles in Dossier Than Known: Durham Report.  While it's bad enough the debunked dossier the FBI used to spy on the Trump campaign was paid for by the Clinton campaign and authored by a foreign FBI informant and his carousing researcher, the newly released report of Special Counsel John Durham strongly suggests a top Justice Department official and his wife had an early hand in shaping the political rumor sheet.  According to the 306-page report, former Justice Department prosecutor Bruce Ohr's wife Nellie Ohr first plowed the ground for the dossier with a series of research reports she wrote for Fusion GPS, the D.C.-based opposition research firm the Clinton campaign commissioned to dig up dirt on Trump and Russia.  Obtained by Durham, her reports zeroed in on Sergei Millian and his connections to Russia and Trump, falsely portraying him as a key intermediary between the Kremlin and the Republican candidate.  They would later provide the foundation for the dossier's many fictions.

Bizarre interactions between Ohr, Strzok, Weissmann and Zainab Ahmad during transition.  [Thread reader]  Horowitz reported that Weissmann, Ahmad and Ohr were all engaging in a more or less rogue operation without reporting to or informing their superiors.  This ought to have prevented them from being on Special Counsel.  On Jan 31, 2017 — recall that this is period in which attacks on Flynn were drawing blood on the incoming administration — Ahmad and Weissmann asked to see Ohr and Swartz.  Ohr didn't attend.  But NONE of Swartz, Weissmann, Ahmad "could recall" purpose of this unusual meeting.  [F]ollowing the meeting (the purpose of which Weissmann, Ahmad purported to forget), Ahmad emailed Lisa Page, urgently seeking meeting the next morning to discuss "Criminal Division developments" that she and Weissmann were later unable to recall[.]

Clinton operatives worked to take down Trump even after election, declassified documents show.  Hillary Clinton operatives continued to push false information against Donald Trump to the Justice Department's No. 4 official after the Republican won the 2016 election, newly declassified FBI documents show.  Repeated Clinton-funded communications in 2016 and 2017 with then-Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr were creating a basis for Democrats to try to bring down the newly elected president.  The operatives tried to sell Mr. Ohr on election conspiracies that didn't exist, such as a supposed secret trip to Prague, a Trump campaign-Kremlin liaison team and a mysterious Moscow bank server.

Bruce Ohr retires from DOJ after informed disciplinary decision imminent on Russia case.  Bruce Ohr, the senior Justice Department official whose conduct in the Russia case spurred significant controversy, has retired after being informed that a decision on disciplinary action was imminent, the department announced Wednesday [10/14/2020].  Ohr's decision will spare him any potential punishment for his role in providing information to the FBI about Christopher Steele's dossier at the same time his wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for the same firm as Steele — Fusion GPS, run by Glenn Simpson.  Congressional Republicans complained that the connection created a conflict of interest.  Ohr said his bosses approved of the arrangement.

The Laundry Operation — Bruce Ohr Left DOJ Shortly Before Being Terminated:  Likely in July.  An interesting note from Catherine Herridge today outlines that DOJ official Bruce Ohr resigned from the FBI shortly before being terminated as a result of the IG report on his activity: [...] Bruce Ohr was part of the laundry operation for Fusion-GPS and Chris Steele's dossier.  Bruce's wife, Nellie Ohr, was working for Glenn Simpson at Fusion-GPS feeding information to Steele for the Dossier assembly.  Steele then transmitted the same information back to Bruce who then received and provided it to FBI investigators giving the patina of an official intelligence product.

Christopher Steele's Backchannel and Coup Plotter Bruce Ohr OUT at DOJ.  Bruce Ohr resigned from the Justice Department a day before he was going to be fired.  Recall, top DOJ official Bruce Ohr worked as a backchannel linking Christopher Steele's dossier to the FBI after Steele was terminated by the FBI in the fall of 2016.  "Bruce Ohr is no longer working at DOJ.  He resigned the day before he was going to be terminated by DOJ over his conduct cited in IG Horowitz report." Catherine Herridge reported.

The Truth Doesn't Care About Your Feelings.  [Scroll down]  With Mary McCord in place to continue the DOJ-NSD aspects to the resistance and removal effort, the DOJ and FBI simply continued the process after the November 2016 election.  Internally all of the officials, essentially lawyers, within the DOJ-NSD were carrying out the removal objective and cleverly attempting to cover their tracks.  We see the creation in plausible deniability with the use of Bruce Ohr as a bridge between the politically corrupt DOJ-NSD and the politically corrupt FBI.  Ohr was carrying the messages from outside the system (Chris Steele) into the system.  This was his function.  Everyone knew what Ohr's mission was.  Anyone today, like Sally Yates, who claims they had no idea what the #4 official was doing is simply lying.  That is part of the plausible deniability part.  It was set up that way.  Everyone knew what to expect, everyone knew the goals and objectives and every part of the process was compartmentalized to create these functional denials in case anything went sideways; or if the objective failed.

FBI's Man in Europe Undercut Ohr's Claim of Limited Russiagate Role.  An FBI agent's newly released testimony undercuts top Justice Department official Bruce Ohr's denial of a conflict of interest between his Trump-Russia efforts and his wife's work for Fusion GPS, producer of the discredited Steele dossier.  The agent, Michael Gaeta, told congressional probers that Ohr had pressed him to make sure the FBI was "doing something" with the dossier.  According to Gaeta, Ohr pushed Steele's collection of memos alleging nefarious ties between the Trump campaign and Russia in part because Ohr's wife Nellie worked for the same company that had hired ex-British spy Christopher Steele.  Gaeta's testimony was released last week along with 56 other Trump-Russia interviews conducted by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

IG Report Bombshell:  Did The FBI And DOJ Ask Putin's Buddy To Help Get Trump?  A previously unnoticed passage in Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on federal surveillance abuse suggests Bruce Ohr and his compatriots were willing to bargain with a Russian oligarch to take down Donald Trump.  Two-hundred-plus pages into the IG report, while discussing former Associate Deputy Attorney General Ohr's continued contacts with Crossfire Hurricane dossier author Christopher Steele, Horowitz revealed a significant detail that to date has been overlooked:  "On December 7, 2016, Ohr conveyed an interagency meeting (including representatives from the FBI) regarding strategy in dealing with Russian Oligarch 1."  The IG report added that after the meeting "one of Ohr's junior Department colleagues who attended the meeting" asked "Ohr about why the U.S. government would support trying to work with Russian Oligarch 1" — the moniker used in the IG report to refer to one of Vladimir Putin's closest confidants, the aluminum oligarch Oleg Deripaska.

Bruce Ohr concealed efforts to spread Steele dossier.  Bruce Ohr, the highest-ranking Obama Justice Department official to involve himself in distributing the anti-Trump dossier, carried out his freelancing through numerous meetings, phone calls and emails as a link between the FBI and Hillary Clinton forces.  He told a colleague that the Russia election scandal reached the top — Donald Trump.  It was his "duty as a citizen" to spread the unverified allegations around town, he said.  During all of Mr. Ohr's maneuverings, from the summer of 2016 to Mr. Trump's election to the fall of 2017, he hid the operation from his bosses.

Politicized Government Servants:  Bruce Ohr and the Steele Dossier.  The following facts are not disputed:  Fusion GPS was a consulting firm hired through counsel (Marc Elias) by the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee to research possible connections between Donald Trump and Russian operatives.  Fusion GPS hired Steele (who was also paid in part by the FBI) to write the document, which was then provided by Ohr to the FBI and the Operation Crossfire Hurricane team to use against Page and the POTUS.  Additionally, Ohr's wife Nellie was an independent contractor for Fusion GPS, and she and its founder Glenn Simpson routinely conveyed material to her husband.  Ohr deliberately avoided informing his superiors and the Department of these dealings.  Liberals have poo-pooed this partisan corruption as inconsequential.  The BBC dismissed Ohr's deceptions to his own Department, averring that the fact that Ohr recorded Steele's opinions "somewhat [undercuts] the accusation of rampant bias within the department, given that a truly compromised individual wouldn't jot that sort of thing down."  Au contraire — his very deliberate subterfuge and bias are evidenced by the fact that he "jotted that sort of thing down," then surreptitiously delivered said jottings to other agencies, making himself a material witness in the process.  That doesn't "undercut" accusations of bias — it proves it beyond any question.

The Hidden Hand.  [Scroll down]  Again, per the IG report, Bruce Ohr, a senior Department of Justice lawyer with no role of any kind in the investigation, but a wife who works for Fusion GPS, suddenly appears and makes himself a conduit between Steele and the FBI. Beyond that, in fact, he meets directly with the head of Fusion GPS, Glenn Simpson, obtains at least one thumb drive full of Steele's reports and ferries those to the FBI. The pipeline is reestablished.  No one in the Department of Justice or FBI has asked Ohr to play this role.  It is, in fact, in direct conflict with his status as an attorney.  Ohr actively hides his actions from his superiors.  His behavior is transparent and without justification.  It is almost certain to attract attention.  This is not all the way covert action should work, but the conspirators, backed into a corner by the FBI's refusal to meet Steele directly have no choice.  It is the files compiled by Steele, which are the key to their efforts to delegitimize and destroy Donald Trump.

The Inspector General's Report.  [Scroll down]  Yet he continued to feed information to the FBI through the wife of senior Justice Department official Bruce Ohr; she was contracted to Fusion GPS.  Steele met 13 times with Mrs. Ohr after Steele's termination by the FBI, and his information was fed to the FBI.  Steele continued to supply information to the FBI that director James Comey and deputy director Andrew McCabe wanted to include in the Intelligence Community Assessment of these matters (at least that outrage was not approved, but their effort incites intense curiosity about Horowitz's imputation of motives).  "Ohr committed consequential errors in judgment" and a (prolonged) "lapse of judgment," Horowitz writes.

DOJ Official Bruce Ohr is Not Fired, and That's Okay — For Now.  There are several dozen critical issues that stem from revelations about the DOJ and FBI conduct in/around the Carter Page FISA application (2017) and Steele Dossier writ large; but DOJ official Bruce Ohr still being employed isn't one of them, and here's why.  What exactly would Bruce Ohr be held accountable for?  What Mr. Ohr did wrong was back-channel information from dossier author Christopher Steele into the FBI; made worse because this is after Chris Steele was persona non grata; and done by Ohr without telling his bosses at Main Justice.  Obviously, not good.  However, considering the time-frames of the FD-302 reports written by Ohr's handler FBI agent Joseph Pientka, Bruce Ohr was channeling information into the Crossfire Hurricane team in 2017.

DOJ IG Michael Horowitz:  Bruce Ohr Still Working at Justice Department.  Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said Wednesday that Bruce Ohr, a senior Justice Department official under scrutiny due to his unusual role in the FBI's investigation of the Trump campaign, still works at the Justice Department.  Asked by Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) if Ohr still worked at the DOJ, Horowitz responded, "My understanding is he is."

DOJ inspector general slams Bruce Ohr for 'consequential errors in judgment'.  The Justice Department watchdog harshly criticized DOJ official Bruce Ohr for concealing his discussions with British ex-spy Christopher Steele from his superiors during the Trump-Russia investigation.  The FBI officially dumped Steele as a confidential source in November 2016 after he admitted to the FBI he was consulted for an Oct. 31 Mother Jones article, "A Veteran Spy Has Given the FBI Information Alleging a Russian Operation to Cultivate Donald Trump," but he remained in contact with the bureau through Ohr.  "Despite having been closed for cause, the Crossfire Hurricane team continued to obtain information from Steele through Ohr, who met with the FBI on 13 occasions to pass along information he had been provided by Steele," Inspector General Michael Horowitz said in a report released on Monday.

13 Things To Look For In The Inspector General FISA Abuse Report.  [#9] The Bruce Ohr Problems:  Ohr was a longtime acquaintance of Steele's, and in 2016 an associate deputy attorney general.  Ohr and his wife, Nellie Ohr, had breakfast with Steele at a D.C. hotel the day before the FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane, its investigation into the Trump campaign.  Bruce Ohr would later take on a much more significant role when, after the FBI terminated Steele as a source on November 1, 2016, Ohr became a conduit to keep feeding Steele's intel to the FBI, which Ohr did on at least 12 occasions, continuing until November 2017.  Yet in the FISA applications, the DOJ represented to the FISA court that Steele had been terminated as an informant. [...] [#10] Then There's Nellie Ohr.  IG Horowitz's report should also explain whether the FBI and DOJ acted properly with regard to Nellie Ohr.  Bruce's wife, Nellie worked for Fusion GPS, the firm that had hired Steele to cull opposition research on Trump.

The Revelations In Transcript Point to Clinton, Obama, Nellie Ohr & Money Laundering.  With the release of the transcript of the phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky from July 25, 2019, one would think the cries of Democrats for an impeachment inquiry would fall on deaf ears and that they would know the jig is up.  Sadly, they don't.  However, we do know that Hillary Clinton was at the center of the call, and as a reporter points out, so were the usurper Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah and Nellie Ohr.  First, Democrats know they have been caught with their pants down and as they attempt to make a fig leaf apron, they appear all the more guilty of the very things that they are accusing President Donald Trump of doing.

Judicial Watch:  Fusion GPS Operative Nellie Ohr May as Well Have Had a Desk at Obama DOJ.  As the details behind the Spygate scandal are uncovered, the connections to former President Obama are unearthed.  According to Zero Hedge, the head of opposition research firm Fusion GPS admitted in December 2017 in a court filing that his firm paid the wife of a senior Justice Department official to help dig up damaging information on then-candidate Donald Trump. [...] The connections between Nellie Ohr and the 'Spygate' scandal were hidden at a distance for months.  As noted previously at TGP, Nellie Ohr is a Communist sympathizer connected to Russia as well as a corrupt Never-Trumper.

Russiagate Probe:  Empty Threats, Broken Promises.  This week, the government finally released one set of materials — interviews with Bruce Ohr, a top Justice Department official whose wife worked for Fusion GPS on its Trump-Russia dirt-digging project funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign.  The FBI made the notes public after Judicial Watch, a government watchdog group that does the heavy lifting Congress consistently fails to do, forced the Justice Department to hand over the so-called 302 forms after attempting to thwart the group's Freedom of Information Act requests since last summer.

Judicial Watch Finds Documents Showing Fusion GPS Working Directly With Obama's DOJ to Frame Trump.  Government watchdog Judicial Watch has uncovered and released hundreds of documents showing the Obama Justice Department working directly with Fusion GPS, a research firm hired by the Clinton campaign, to frame President Trump.  The documents show Fusion GPS' Nellie Ohr, who was specifically hired in 2016 to dig up dirt on Trump and his children Ivanka, Don Jr. and Eric, working directly with U.S. Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr on a spread sheet linking President Trump to a number of Russian operatives.  Nellie and Bruce are married and while Bruce was demoted, he's still working at the Department of Justice in Washington D.C.

Comey's FBI was running a secret counterintelligence operation against Trump, new docs show.  Newly obtained documents confirm that James Comey's FBI was running a secret and corrupt counterintelligence operation against the Trump campaign in the summer of 2016 and repeatedly deceiving the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) thereafter in order to wiretap a Trump campaign associate.  The disclosure was the result of a federal lawsuit and a year of litigation.  Despite efforts by FBI Director Christopher Wray to obstruct, a federal court issued an order that forced the FBI and Department of Justice to produce the records known as "302 reports."  They are a summary of interviews FBI agents conducted with Bruce Ohr, a top DOJ official.

Here Are Four Dubious Claims In Bruce Ohr's FBI Notes.  Ohr met with the FBI at least 12 times in 2016 and 2017 following his interactions with Steele, a former British spy, and Simpson, an opposition researcher working for the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee (DNC).  The Justice Department released heavily redacted notes of the interviews to Judicial Watch.  The notes, known as 302s, show that Ohr told the FBI of four alleged links between Russia and the Trump campaign that have either been debunked or were not supported by the special counsel's report of the Russia probe.

Both Ohrs in Troubled Water.  If there was ever any doubt about the depth and extent of the deep-state coup against both candidate and President Donald J. Trump and the number of deep-state actors attempting to thwart the will of the American people, it vanished with the release of partially redacted copies of former Deputy Atty.  Gen. Bruce Ohr's FBI 302 reports (interview summaries) on Thursday evening obtained by Judicial Watch.  They confirm that Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie were not merely passive conduits for the fraudulent Steele Dossier but were active participants in the plot to deny Trump the presidency.

Corrupt Senate Intelligence Committee Resurfaces in Bruce Ohr 302's.  During the 2016 effort to weaponize the institutions of government against the outside candidacy of Donald Trump, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) was headed by Richard Burr and Dianne Feinstein.  After the 2016 election Senator Feinstein abdicated her vice-chair position to Senator Mark Warner in January 2017.  While the SSCI was engaged in their part of the 2016 effort Vice-Chair Feinstein's lead staffer was a man named Daniel Jones.  Dan Jones was the contact point between the SSCI and Fusion-GPS.

Bruce Ohr FBI Notes Show Anti-Trump Materials Were Shared Among Top Obama Officials.  Newly released FBI interview notes with former Deputy Associate Attorney General Bruce Ohr show information gathered against Donald Trump by former British spy Christopher Steele for Hillary Clinton was distributed to the FBI and State Department in President Barack Obama's administration in 2016.  Ohr told FBI agents during a Nov. 22, 2016, interview that "reporting on Trump's ties to Russia were going to the [Hillary] Clinton campaign, Jon Winer at the U.S. State Department and the FBI," according to one of the notes made public late Thursday by Judicial Watch.  Winer was a senior aide to then-Secretary of State John Kerry.

Clinton operatives fed false information to FBI on Trump, review of interview reveals.  Hillary Clinton operatives fed the FBI false information on President Trump and his aides in the months following his election, according to an analysis of an FBI agent's interview with a key conduit.  The agent's interview notes (known as 302s) of Bruce Ohr, then an associate deputy attorney general in the Department of Justice, were obtained by the conservative investigative group Judicial Watch.  "These new Bruce Ohr FBI 302s show an unprecedented and irregular effort by the FBI, DOJ, and State Department to dig up dirt on President Trump using the conflicted Bruce Ohr, his wife, and the Clinton/DNC spies at Fusion GPS," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Sebastian Gorka:  High-Level Obama DOJ Officials Will Be Charged With Very Serious Felonies, Be Patient.  Sebastian Gorka, former strategist to President Trump, takes aim at Google over its work in China.  Gorka told FBN host Lou Dobbs that Google sees America as the problem and like to help nations that are against U.S. interests.  Gorka said according to Chris Farrow at Judicial Watch he can predict that high-level Obama-era DOJ officials like Lisa Page and Bruce Ohr will be charged with serious felonies.

Revealing the systemic coup between Bruce Ohr and Christopher Steele.  July congressional hearings reveal that DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's team conducted a two-day interview in London with British ex-spy Christopher Steele.  Thus beginning to unpeel the onion on DOJ abuse of powers.  Steele is the author of the unsubstantiated and salacious dossier attacking President Trump, creating the Russia Hoax.  The truth is coming home to roost.  The facts emerging are that Steele's anti-Trump bias was well known at or about the November 2016 presidential election.  Despite the many red flags, the DOJ, including operative Bruce Ohr's bias, the initial FISA applications did rely on the dossier.  A dossier that holds no truth.

Ohr interviews:  Steele agenda was to stop Trump presidency.  Just how much trouble will Bruce Ohr's interview notes cause the FBI? As described by the Washington Post and Politico, it might create no small amount of embarrassment in the short term — and maybe worse down the road.  According to Ohr, the FBI knew full well that Steele had an anti-Trump agenda months before the bureau relied on his dossier to get a FISA warrant on Carter Page, but never disclosed it to the FISA judge.

Bongino Discusses Bruce Ohr 302 Release — "It's the laundry operation".  Dan Bongino appears on Fox News morning to discuss his perspective on the information contained within the release of the FBI interview notes ("302's") of Bruce Ohr.  Mr. Bongino accurately notes the pipeline of research from Fusion-GPS (Glenn Simpson) and contract employee Nellie Ohr (Bruce's wife) to Christopher Steele, is an intelligence laundry operation.  Political opposition research was created by Fusion-GPS and then sent to Steele so he could launder the information and return it to the DOJ and FBI, through Bruce Ohr, as an official "intelligence" product.  [Video clip]

Why Does It Matter So Much That Ohr Maintained Contact With Steele After He Was Fired?  Bruce Ohr's FBI 302 reports show us that the State Department, the FBI, Fusion GPS, Christopher Steele, the Hillary Clinton campaign and Bruce and Nellie Ohr were "all involved in a triangulated relationship to get Trump with dirty intelligence." That is the assessment of investigative reporter John Solomon who has followed this story from the very beginning.  All of these entities played a role in the deception and worked together, both before and after the 2016 election to undermine Donald Trump.  None of them worried if they had to bend, or even break, the rules to do their part.

Rudy Giuliani Reacts to Release of Bruce Ohr 302 Reports.  President Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani appears on Fox News with reaction to the release of information contained within the FBI investigative notes of DOJ official Bruce Ohr.  Within the interview Giuliani drops a few bombshells, including an apparent lengthy amount of time that U.S. Attorney John Durham has spent in Europe investigating the FBI and CIA operations against the Trump campaign.

Judicial Watch FOIA — Bruce Ohr 302 Reports Released.  Bruce Ohr is a DOJ official who was interviewed by the FBI during the DOJ/FBI collaborative effort to target president-elect Donald Trump after the 2016 election.  Mr. Ohr was interviewed on 12 different occasions between November 22nd, 2016 and May 15th, 2017.  Judicial Watch has finally received the copies of the FBI investigative notes, aka "302 reports".

FBI kept using Steele dossier for FISA applications despite documenting ex-spy's bias, documents show.  The FBI formally documented the apparent anti-Trump bias of British ex-spy Christopher Steele shortly after the November 2016 presidential election — yet despite the red flags, continued to use his unverified dossier in multiple Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrant application renewals, records obtained by Fox News show.  The partially redacted documents, first obtained by Judicial Watch, also revealed that top Justice Department official Bruce Ohr maintained contact with Steele for at least six months after Steele was fired by the FBI for unauthorized media contacts in November 2016.  The records further confirmed that Ohr knew of Steele's anti-Trump bias before the 2016 election.

DOJ To Release Bruce Ohr's FBI Documents.  The Justice Department will release FBI documents early next week that are related to Bruce Ohr, the Justice Department official who met with dossier author Christopher Steele.  In a court filing submitted last Thursday, Justice Department lawyers said the agency will provide FBI notes of interviews conducted with Ohr to Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group that sued for the records last year. [...] FBI agents interviewed Ohr after meetings and conversations with Steele, a former British spy who investigated the Trump campaign on behalf of the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee.

Former CIA Contractor Nellie Ohr Provided Husband at DOJ With Russia Research.  Two key players in the FBI's investigation of Donald Trump were husband and wife Bruce and Nellie Ohr.  At the time, Bruce Ohr was the highest-ranking career official at the Department of Justice (DOJ), and Nellie Ohr worked for Fusion GPS — the firm hired by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee to produce the so-called "Steele dossier" on Donald Trump.  In congressional testimonies reviewed by The Epoch Times, both Bruce and Nellie Ohr testified separately to congressional investigators last year that they had minimal contact with each other about their work, which could have posed an inherent conflict of interest.  Newly released documents and emails obtained by Judicial Watch, however, show that Nellie emailed Bruce dozens of times about Russia-related topics between October 2015 and September 2016.

The External Roots of Spygate.  In mid-April 2016, Bruce & Nellie Ohr were in contact with the German Embassy, discussing with its first secretary what the Germans called "Impact of Russian influence operations in Europe ('PsyOps/InfoWar')" and the embassy's offer to provide "Russia analysts."  They also invited the secretary to their house.  What came out of it is unknown because they deleted the emails immediately.  By the end of May, the conspiracy theory of Trump-Putin collusion has been already developed.

It Started With a Lie:  Bruce Ohr's Linchpin Role in Russiagate.  Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr was perfectly positioned to advance the Russia collusion narrative.  He had a rare set of relationships — ties to opposition researchers and the FBI — and would use his links to both in 2016 to connect federal law enforcement to those advancing Trump-Russia conspiracy theories.  A mystery remains:  To some in his narrow circle, Ohr was upfront about the compromising nature of his connections, yet he hid that fact from officials charged with overseeing ethics at the Justice Department.  Why, then, did Bruce Ohr admit to the FBI that his wife worked for opposition researchers Fusion GPS while failing to disclose it to the DoJ? The answer speaks volumes not just about how the Trump-Russia affair gained traction but about the way Washington works.

DOJ Gave Embattled Bruce Ohr $42,520 in Bonuses After Being Demoted.  Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr — who was a backchannel for the former British spy who compiled the anti-President Donald Trump dossier — received a total of $42,520 in performance bonuses from the Justice Department.  He received those bonuses after being demoted for a conflict of interest and for not informing his superiors that his wife, Nellie Ohr, was working for the embattled research firm Fusion GPS, which hired former British spy Christoper Steele to compile the now debunked dossier.

DOJ official Bruce Ohr [was] awarded $28G bonus amid Russia probe, records indicate.  Bruce Ohr, the Justice Department official whose connection to the opposition research firm responsible for the anti-Trump "dossier" led to his eventual demotion, was awarded a $28,000 performance bonus while the Russia probe was ongoing, according to newly released DOJ documents.  The records do not indicate why Ohr was given the bonus in November 2016, though they show he also received a $14,520 bonus a year earlier, totaling $42,520 over a two-year period.

FOIA Docs:  Twice-Demoted DOJ Official Bruce Ohr Received $28,000 Bonus During Work on Sketchy Dossier.  This is a prime example of what historically sent people to the pitchforks.  According to newly released FOIA documents received by Judicial Watch, twice-demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr received pay raises and a $28,000 bonus while working on the anti-Trump operation.  Bruce Ohr was originally demoted in December 2017 stripping away his title of associate deputy attorney general based on what DOJ officials said were "undisclosed contacts" with FBI informant Christopher Steele.  We later found out Bruce Ohr completely disclosed his contacts; so his first demotion was a complete CYA move by DOJ officials (ie.  Rosenstein).

Fusion GPS' Nellie Ohr Deleted Emails From DOJ About Russia, What Else Did She Delete?  Government watchdog Judicial Watch revealed Thursday [5/16/2019] that Nellie Ohr, who was hired by Fusion GPS to look into members of the Trump family during the 2016 presidential election, deleted a number of official emails from her husband Bruce Ohr.  Ohr works at the Department of Justice and was demoted from a senior position after failing to disclose his links to Fusion GPS.  Fusion GPS, in partnership with the Clinton campaign, was behind the bogus dossier about President Trump.

Smoking Gun Ohr Emails.  To the fomenters of the coup against Donald Trump in the CIA, FBI and DOJ, we can add at least one high-ranking State Department official.  We have released four pages of documents from the U.S. Department of Justice showing a conversation between former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Kathleen Kavalec and former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, discussing the targeting of Donald Trump with Steele dossier material.  In discussing a meeting with the potential source for a Mother Jones article accusing the Trump campaign of taking money from a Russian-American oil magnate, as well as Christopher Steele's connection to that source, Kavalec emails Ohr citing the accusatory Mother Jones article.  Ohr says, "I really hope we can get something going here."

Deep State Corrupt Couple — Bruce and Nellie Ohr — Caught in Another Lie.  The Ohr's are in a world of trouble due to their efforts to remove President Trump from office.  Nellie is a key player in the Spygate scandal.  In August of 2018 we posted the ties Nellie Ohr has with the Deep State.  According to Zero Hedge, the head of opposition research firm Fusion GPS admitted in December 2017 in a court filing that his firm paid the wife of a senior Justice Department official to help dig up damaging information on then-candidate Donald Trump.

Judicial Watch:  Nellie Ohr Deleted Emails Exchanged with DOJ Husband Bruce Ohr.  The full email exchange is between Bruce Ohr, Lisa Holtyn, Nellie Ohr, and Stefan Bress, a first secretary at the German Embassy, and is part of 339 pages of heavily redacted records from the U.S. Department of Justice.  Judicial Watch obtained the records through a March 2018 Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed after the Justice Department failed to respond a December 2017 request.

Bill Barr, Congressman Mark Meadows alleges that Nellie Ohr made false statements to Congress last October regarding her contacts at the DOJ.  Meadows alleges that she contradicted herself multiple times during testimony about not having any contacts at the DOJ.  In fact, Ohr's emails reveal the names of her DOJ contacts.  Not only was she communicating with DOJ contacts; she agreed to meet with them for the purpose of sharing research she conducted on the Trump campaign.  Meadows hinted that Republicans will make additional criminal referrals to the A.G.  Bombshell!  The cascade of real bombshells is increasing exponentially, but don't expect the liberal media to report on it.

Nellie Ohr's 'Hi Honey' emails to DOJ about Russia collusion should alarm us all.  First came the text messages between FBI lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, which gave us a painful glimpse at potential political bias inside America's most famous crime-fighting bureau.  Now, a series of "Hi Honey" emails from Nellie Ohr to her high-ranking federal prosecutor husband and his colleagues raise the prospect that Hillary Clinton-funded opposition research was being funneled into the Justice Department during the 2016 election through a back-door marital channel.  It's a tale that raises questions of both conflict of interest and possible false testimony.  Ohr has admitted to Congress that, during the 2016 presidential election, she worked for Fusion GPS — the firm hired by Democratic nominee Clinton and the Democratic National Committee to perform political opposition research — on a project specifically trying to connect Donald Trump and his campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, to Russian organized crime.

Mark Meadows Refers Nellie Ohr To DOJ For Investigation.  North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows referred Nellie Ohr, a former Fusion GPS contractor, to the Justice Department for criminal investigation on Wednesday [5/1/2019].  In a letter to Attorney General William Barr first reported by The Hill, Meadows alleged that Ohr made false statements to Congress on Oct. 19 about contacts she had with Justice Department officials regarding ongoing investigations, as well as about her research into alleged Russian organized crime figures.

Solomon: Nellie Ohr Has Been Referred to DOJ for Criminal Prosecution.  Earlier today John Solomon wrote an article noting how congressional investigators were reviewing Nellie Ohr testimony against last month's release of FOIA documents.  There are significant differences between Mrs. Ohr's testimony about her communication and contacts with DOJ and FBI officials, and the scale of contact within the FOIA release.  According to an interview with Representative Jim Jordan, Rep Mark Meadows was considering a criminal referral.  This evening [5/1/2019], John Solomon is following up and affirming Nellie Ohr has now been referred to the DOJ for criminal prosecution[.]

Was Nellie Ohr's Research Used In FISA Applications To Surveil The Trump Campaign?  Recently released transcripts of congressional testimony now raise the specter that the FBI also used Nellie Ohr's opposition research in the FISA applications.  Over the last month, Georgia Republican Doug Collins, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, has released a series of transcripts, including that of Department of Justice lawyer Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie Ohr.  In his congressional testimony, Bruce confirmed that he and his wife met with former MI6 spy Steele on July 30, 2016, and that during that breakfast meeting Steele shared his initial research on supposed connections between Trump and Russia.

Confirmed: Nellie Ohr Lied About Ham Radio To Congress.  Nellie Ohr is the wife of DOJ official Bruce Ohr.  Nellie Ohr, a specialist in Russian matters, was also a contract employee of the CIA for multiple years.  In September 2015 Nellie Ohr approached her former colleague at Fusion GPS (Glenn Simpson) for a job.  Nellie Ohr was hired as a contract agent by Fusion to work on the 'Trump Project' assembling political opposition research that was later shared with another Fusion GPS contract employee, Christopher Steele, and compiled into the 'Steele Dossier'.  It always seemed sketchy that at the same time Nellie Ohr began communicating with Christopher Steele and other governmental participants associated with the Steele Dossier, May 2016, she applied for a Ham Radio License.

Did Bruce Ohr's Testimony Defuse a NYT Bombshell?  [Bruce] Ohr, a former top official at the Obama Justice Department, testified behind closed doors last August to the House Judiciary Committee.  Ohr has emerged as the conduit between Democratic political operatives working on behalf of Hillary Clinton and James Comey's FBI just before the 2016 presidential election.  Ohr's wife, Nellie, had been hired by Fusion GPS to dig up Russia-related dirt on candidate Donald Trump.  Working with her on that project:  Dossier author Christopher Steele, a former British agent and now London-based consultant who happened to have a decade-long friendship with Bruce Ohr.  Congressional investigators wanted to know how and why Ohr passed along political propaganda from Fusion GPS — which had been hired by both the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National committee — to the FBI in the summer of 2016.  Ohr and Steele had extensive communications in 2016 and early 2017, including dozens of emails and text messages.

Nellie Ohr, wife of DOJ official, did extensive oppo research on Trump family, aides: transcript.  Nellie Ohr, the wife of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, did extensive opposition research on Trump family members and campaign aides while working for the firm behind the salacious anti-Trump dossier in 2016, according to a newly released transcript of her closed-door interview with Congress.  House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Doug Collins, R-Ga., on Thursday [3/28/2019] released nearly 200 pages of Ohr's transcript from her interview before the panel last year.  Her work with opposition research firm Fusion GPS was already known, but the documents offering additional details on the nature of that research are now public.

Nellie Ohr Transcript Released.  Nellie Ohr is the wife of DOJ official Bruce Ohr.  Mrs. Ohr was hired by Glenn Simpson (Fusion GPS) to conduct opposition research of Donald Trump in late 2015.  Nellie Ohr's work was used by Christopher Steele in assembling a Dossier then shared with the DOJ and FBI to target President Trump.  Today [3/28/2019], the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, Doug Collins, released the transcript of her testimony.

Nellie Ohr says she only got a ham radio license to be able to communicate in the event of a widespread cell phone outage.  If that were true, one would think that her husband would also have a ham radio license.  The timing of Nellie's sudden interest in amateur radio is suspicious, as pointed out in the comments following the article above.  Since she has an FCC license, the FCC can "inspect" her ham radio station at any reasonable hour of the day.  It would be interesting to see what kind of equipment she has, and what devices are attached to the radio.  It would also be interesting to find any other ham operator who will admit to having a conversation with her via ham radio.  I suspect there are none.  See additional commentary near the bottom of this page.

Trump Pulled Ambassador Nomination of State Department Official Who Communicated With Steele and Ohr.  A State Department official who was awaiting confirmation to be U.S. Ambassador to Albania communicated with the former British spy Christopher Steele and supplied information to a senior DOJ official after and before the 2016 presidential election.  Former State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary Kathleen Ann Kavalec's nomination was withdrawn recently by President Trump, according to a Senior White House official who spoke to SaraACarter.com.

Bruce Ohr Revealed Political Operatives Got The FBI To Investigate The NRA.  Friday's [3/15/2019] release of a transcript of Bruce Ohr's testimony before the House Judiciary Committee revealed several new tidbits.  It also raised serious concerns that fake claims of collusion pushed by Glenn Simpson and Democratic opposition research shop Fusion GPS prompted the launch of not one, but two federal investigations: the Russia collusion investigation and investigations into the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Bruce Ohr Testimony:  I Informed FBI that Christopher Steele's Dossier Was Based on 'Hearsay'.  In recently released testimony, Bruce Ohr, a career Justice Department official, stated he informed the FBI that the infamous, largely discredited anti-Trump dossier authored by Christopher Steele was based on "hearsay" and not tangible evidence.  Ohr said that he transmitted that information in the time period before the FBI under James Comey used the controversial dossier as central evidence in a successful FISA application to obtain a warrant to conduct surveillance on Carter Page, a former adviser to President Trump's 2016 campaign.  Comey signed the first or three FISA applications in late October 2016.  All three applications reportedly cited the dossier.

Nellie Ohr Testimony Confirms Her Work for the CIA.  Nellie Ohr, the wife of former high-ranking Justice Department (DOJ) official Bruce Ohr — both of whom played pivotal roles in the FBI's investigation into the Trump 2016 presidential campaign — worked for the CIA as an independent contractor for as long as six years.  Ohr was hired as a researcher by Fusion GPS — the company hired by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee to produce the now-infamous Steele dossier — in 2015.  She conducted open-source research into members of the Trump campaign for Fusion GPS — which describes itself as a commercial research and strategic intelligence firm — that may have been used in the Steele dossier.

Intriguing Implication Within Nellie Ohr Testimony:  Nellie Ohr Approached Glenn Simpson for a Job in Sept 2015?  The implication here is that Nellie Ohr approached Fusion-GPS owner Glenn Simpson for a job; essentially to work on political opposition research files Fusion-GPS was assembling in 2015.  This is distinctly different from Glenn Simpson seeking out Nellie Ohr, and opens the entire background to larger ramifications.  Our research has always indicated that Nellie's work product was transmitted to Christopher Steele as part of an intelligence laundry process.  Chris Steele laundered Nellie's information, provided second verification where possible, formatted into an official intelligence file, and returned that file, now named the Steele Dossier, to the FBI.

Bruce Ohr Testimony:  I Told FBI Chris Steele Was 'Biased,' 'Desperate' to Defeat Trump.  Bruce Ohr, a career Justice Department official, admitted in recently released testimony that he informed the FBI that the infamous, largely discredited anti-Trump dossier authored by Christopher Steele was tied to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.  Ohr testified that he further warned his FBI superiors that the dossier information was likely "biased" against Trump and that he thought Steele was "desperate that Trump not be elected."

18 Real Attacks on the 'Rule of Law'.  [#4] The Ohrs and their pay-for-smear Fusion GPS money:  Then-Assistant Attorney General Bruce Ohr trafficked in Clinton-procured Trump-Russia "collusion" claims by shuttling from Fusion GPS subcontractor Christopher Steele to the FBI.  Ohr did so at the same time Fusion GPS was paying his wife, Nellie, to help prepare this same Trump/Russia material.  This is an apparent violation of a federal law barring government employees from participating in decisions in which they have a financial interest.

Sketchy Notation About Doug Collins Releasing Full Unredacted Bruce Ohr Transcript.  NBC News penned an article about the unorthodox release of DOJ official Bruce Ohr's transcript.  Within the article NBC notes current DOJ officials responded to the congressional request for release by sending them an approved "redacted version". [...] Having read the Ohr transcript, there didn't appear to be any national security interests, sources or methods, beyond investigative embarrassment for DOJ and FBI, simply because of the sham of it all.

Representative Doug Collins Releases Bruce Ohr Transcript and Announces More to Follow.  Today [3/8/2019], Representative Doug Collins spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives and announced his frustrated intention to start releasing transcripts from testimony by DOJ and FBI officials who participated in an Obama-era conspiracy to weaponize the DOJ and FBI against their political opposition.

DOJ Official's Testimony Highlights Why One GOP Lawmaker Believes Glenn Simpson Faces 'Real Legal Jeopardy'.  [Bruce] Ohr's testimony, a transcript of which was published Friday [3/8/2019], also confirms reports that Simpson was the source of a heavily disputed allegation about conservative attorney Cleta Mitchell.  Ohr told lawmakers in an Aug. 28, 2018 hearing that he met Simpson prior to the 2016 election to discuss information gathered by Christopher Steele, the former British spy who authored the dossier.  That conflicts with Simpson's testimony to the House Intelligence Committee that he met Ohr only after the election and at Ohr's request.  Ohr also revealed Simpson provided him during a meeting in December 2016 with a seemingly false lead about Mitchell that ended up in a news article published in 2018.

Bruce Ohr's Testimony Contradicts Testimony Provided By Rosenstein And Simpson.  Department of Justice senior official Bruce Ohr's testimony contradicts testimony given by other senior government officials and key witnesses who testified before Congress regarding the FBI's investigation into President Trump's 2016 campaign and alleged collusion with the Russian government, according to the full transcripts released Friday [3/8/2019].  Ohr's 268-page testimony, released by Republican member of the House Judiciary Committee Georgia Rep. Doug Collins, reveals inconsistency and contradiction in testimony given by Glenn Simpson, founder of embattled research firm Fusion GPS and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is set to leave his post sometime this month.

Adam Schiff Proven A Liar As The Bruce Ohr Transcript Is Released.  One of the weapons the 'deep state' has been using to protect itself and its allies is the use of classification and redaction to prevent the public from learning exactly what transpired in the process whereby an opposition research document paid for by the Clinton campaign and compiled by a man with deep ties to officials in Putin's Russia was repackaged and deodorized and pawned off on the intelligence community, the FBI, and feckless, credulous judges on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court as legitimate intelligence product.  Former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has made the case time and again that redactions are being used to obscure wrongdoing and not to protect sources and methods.

Judicial Watch Uncovers Documents Showing Bruce Ohr Continued as Intermediary Between Christopher Steele and Robert Mueller's Team.  Judicial Watch has received documents from a previous FOIA request to the DOJ which highlight the extent of the communication between DOJ official Bruce Ohr and the FBI.  While there was prior knowledge of the role of Ohr as an FBI intermediary between Fusion-GPS, Chris Steele and the FBI during the original counterintelligence investigation, the new documents show Ohr continued in his role well into Mueller's appointment.

Fed-Up House Republican Releases Bruce Ohr Testimony Showing Major Conflict of Interest.  In a surprise move Friday [3/8/2019], Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, unilaterally released the 268-page transcript of an August 2018 interview with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr.  Collins explained that his patience with the Justice Department "has grown thin."  He took to the House floor and asked that the full, unredacted transcript be put on the record.  In his testimony, Ohr revealed that former British spy Christopher Steele was simultaneously paid by both the FBI and the Democrat opposition research firm Fusion GPS during the 2016 election.

The Nellie Ohr Dossier.  A John Solomon article today [2/20/2019] points out the circumstances of Fusion-GPS contractor Nellie Ohr delivering a memory stick to her DOJ husband Bruce Ohr, who then turned around and gave it to the FBI team.  The memory stick contained Nellie's Trump-Russia research files.  As Solomon writes:  "The way Ohr described it, his wife's research was like an additional dossier assembled from Fusion GPS research to augment what Steele was separately providing the FBI."  However, Solomon stops short of explaining the full story.

The family secret Bruce Ohr told Rod Rosenstein about Russia case.  Who would have thought that, this deep into the Russia collusion probe, we'd be learning about yet another dossier connected to Hillary Clinton?  And, as it turns out, it was sort of a family secret.  By his own account, senior Department of Justice (DOJ) official Bruce Ohr played an essential — and unorthodox — role, carrying politically tainted allegations of Donald Trump-Russia collusion to the FBI during the 2016 election.  First, it was unverified intelligence starting in July 2016 from Trump-hating former British spy Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous Russia dossier.

Nellie Ohr:  Ukrainian Lawmaker Was Fusion GPS Source.  A member of the Ukrainian parliament accused in his home country of interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election was identified in congressional testimony in October as a source for opposition research firm Fusion GPS.  Nellie Ohr, a former contractor for the Washington, D.C.-based Fusion GPS, testified on Oct. 19 that Serhiy Leshchenko, a former investigative journalist turned Ukrainian lawmaker, was a source for Fusion GPS during the 2016 campaign.  "I recall ... they were mentioning someone named Serhiy Leshchenko, a Ukrainian," Ohr said when asked who Fusion GPS's sources were, according to portions of Ohr's testimony confirmed by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Nellie Ohr's Revelation Of Dossier's Ukrainian Source Connects The Dots From DNC To Mueller.  Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller News Foundation put out a summary on Wednesday of information provided to Congress last fall by Nellie Ohr, wife of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr and one-time contractor with Fusion GPS.  The information is about the source of Fusion GPS material, presumably on Paul Manafort's activities in Ukraine, and it goes a long way to confirm some longstanding suspicions about how that material was used, and how it was seeded into the FBI investigation of Manafort.  As an addendum to the long-running Manafort saga, it's not that big a bombshell.  The source alluded to by Nellie Ohr was Ukrainian journalist-turned-lawmaker Serhiy Leshchenko.

The Mueller Report, Bruce Ohr, and FBI/DOJ Corruption.  In the second segment of the Jim Jordan interview with Maria Bartiromo the discussion turns to the issues surrounding the corrupt FBI/DOJ investigation; how DOJ deputy Bruce Ohr remained at the center of activity; and the ongoing purpose of the Mueller probe:  to hide all the previous corrupt activity and continue investigating Trump.

Bruce Ohr Was the Conduit From Hillary's Team to the FBI.  Jordan is the ranking Republican member of the House Oversight Committee.  He reported that during his testimony, Bruce Ohr revealed that he met with Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson thirteen times.  Then he went back and debriefed the FBI — James Comey and others.  When Bruce Ohr was deposed, he shared three key facts with the FBI.  First of all, Fusion was connected to the Clinton campaign and they put the dossier — the opposition research — together.  Ohr's wife Nellie worked for Fusion GPS.  And, lastly, the person Fusion hired, Christopher Steele has a deep bias against the President.

More Leaked Transcripts — Nellie Ohr Researched Trump Kids While Working for Fusion GPS.  So far the joint house committee transcripts have been leaked to:  John Solomon (The Hill), The Epoch Times, The New York Times, and now The Daily Caller.  Someone is trying to get additional traction to these structured transcripts.  The content is also interesting.  The only thing we knew previously about the testimony of Nellie Ohr was that she evoked 'spousal privilege' during her deposition.  However, now the Daily Caller is reporting that Nellie Ohr gave testimony about her research with Fusion GPS, to include doing research on Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr's travels.

New details of 2016 meeting with Trump dossier author conflict with Dems' timeline.  New details contained in congressional transcripts and emails about a July 2016 meeting involving the author of the anti-Trump "dossier," Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, and his wife, Nellie, appear to conflict with claims from Democrats — and the co-founder of the firm behind the dossier — that significant contacts did not occur until after the election.  According to the records, the little-known breakfast meeting was held on July 30, 2016 at Washington, D.C.'s Mayflower Hotel.  Congressional transcripts, confirmed by Fox News, showed Nellie Ohr told House investigators last year that Christopher Steele, the British ex-spy who compiled the dossier, wanted to get word to the FBI at the time.

Something Different Within The Bruce Ohr Testimony.  While reading a great article by Mollie Hemmingway at The Federalist, something stands out that might lend a cautious amount of optimism toward ongoing 'spygate' investigative inquiries and accountability.  There are two distinct differences in the Bruce Ohr testimony as compared to all others released or revealed so far.  The known list of witnesses questioned by the joint House Judiciary and Oversight committees includes:  James Comey, Andrew McCabe, James Baker, Lisa Page, Bill Priestap, Peter Strzok, and Bruce Ohr.  Until the release of the Ohr transcript all prior reports and leaks of witness testimony have been from the FBI side of 'spygate'.  Bruce Ohr is the first witness from the Main Justice (DOJ) side of the issue.

Ohr Testimony Reveals Top DOJ Officials Briefed About Steele Before FISA.  Three top Senior Justice Department officials, two who are senior prosecutors on Robert Mueller' Special Counsel, met with Bruce Ohr in the summer of 2016.  This meeting happened well before the FBI sought a FISA warrant on a Trump campaign official.  Ohr informed the trio of DOJ officials about his close contact with former British Spy Christopher Steele, whose dossier was part of the evidence used to investigate the Trump campaign.  Further, Ohr warned the dossier was not vetted.  The FBI, however, used as the bulk of evidence from the dossier to obtain a secret warrant to spy on short-term Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page, according to a Congressional investigation.

Top Mueller Officials Coordinated With Fusion GPS Spouse In 2016.  A senior Department of Justice official says he repeatedly and specifically told top officials at the FBI and DOJ about dossier author Christopher Steele's bias and his employer Fusion GPS' conflicts of interest, information they kept hidden from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.  These conversations involved high-level officials, including some who are now senior officials in the special counsel probe.  And the conversations began taking place in the earliest days of August 2016, much earlier than previously revealed to congressional investigators seeking to learn the facts about the FBI's decision to spy on the Trump campaign.  Testimony from Bruce Ohr, the demoted associate attorney general at Justice, informs a years-long partisan debate about the role he played in funneling information to the FBI from the terminated source.

What Bruce Ohr Told the FBI.  Everybody knew.  Everybody of consequence at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Justice Department understood fully in the middle of 2016 — as the FBI embarked on its counterintelligence probe of Donald Trump — that it was doing so based on disinformation provided by Hillary Clinton's campaign.  That's the big revelation from the transcript of the testimony Justice Department official Bruce Ohr gave Congress in August.  The transcripts haven't been released, but parts were confirmed for me by congressional sources.

Pass The Popcorn, Nahanni:  Bruce Ohr Throws Comey, McCabe and Schiff Under the Spygate Bus.  The Epoch Times began publishing a stunning series of exclusive articles on January 11th.  Each article — there have been four thus far — reveals previously undisclosed Congressional testimony of key Spygate suspects.  The most intriguing testimony appears to be that of disgraced DOJ official Bruce Ohr.  Ohr's claims have obliterated the FBI's official story of how the Trump-Russia "collusion" investigation began.

Schiff Misleads Congress.  [Scroll down]  According to his congressional testimony, Bruce Ohr, the former associate deputy Attorney General, confirmed to lawmakers that he met with Steele on July 30, 2016.  Also in attendance at the breakfast meeting was Ohr's wife, Nellie, who had been hired by Fusion GPS head Glenn Simpson in late 2015 to assist on his Trump-Russia project.  Fusion GPS was being paid by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee through a politically connected law firm; Simpson hired Steele in June 2016.  Ohr then disclosed that "his first contact with the FBI was on July 31, 2016, when he reached out to then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and FBI attorney Lisa Page.  He then was referred to the agents working Russia counterintelligence, including Peter Strzok, the now-fired agent who played a central role in starting the Trump collusion probe," according to Solomon's reporting.  Around that time, he passed along "source information" — the early installments of Steele's dossier — to those officials.

Ohr's Testimony:  Is It Enough To Launch DOJ Investigation Into FISA Abuse?  Former senior FBI and DOJ officials could find themselves at the center of a criminal investigation after bombshell testimony from a DOJ official revealed they knew a former British spy's dossier was not vetted but still used it as evidence to obtain a warrant to spy on a Trump campaign aide.  DOJ official Bruce Ohr revealed last August in closed-door congressional testimony that he had informed three top senior Justice Department and FBI officials in the summer of 2016 about his meetings with former British spy Christopher Steele.  Ohr told these officials about Steele's animus toward Trump and that the dossier was not verified.  Further, he informed the officials that he was also in communication with Glenn Simpson, the founder of embattled research firm Fusion GPS.

DOJ official Bruce Ohr shared intel from dossier author in 2016 with prosecutors now on Mueller team.  Details about Justice Department official Bruce Ohr's meetings with the author of the salacious anti-Trump dossier were shared by Ohr with his expansive circle of contacts inside the department — including senior FBI leadership and officials now assigned to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, Fox News has learned.  Ohr gave a closed-door transcribed interview last August sharing details of his 2016 meetings with British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who authored the dossier later used to secure a surveillance warrant for a Trump campaign aide.  The interview was part of the Republican-led House Oversight and Judiciary Committee probes.

John Solomon:  Bruce Ohr Testimony Shows Politically Motivated DOJ and FBI Ignored Warnings.  John Solomon has a well-written article at The Hill outlining the leaked transcript from Bruce Ohr together with his own sources.  The key point Solomon focuses upon is how Bruce Ohr warned DOJ and FBI officials about the political intents and specifics behind the inbound information from Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS.  The primary aspect to Ohr's testimony is how strongly he warned officials at the FBI (Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, James Baker, Peter Strzok, Joe Pientka), and officials in DOJ Main Justice (Andrew Weissmann, Bruce Swartz, Zainab Ahmad), about the political intents and purposes behind the information that eventually became "The Steele Dossier".  In essence Bruce Ohr told the FBI and Main Justice, right at the outset of their Crossfire Hurricane operation, that Chris Steele's work product was an assembly of political opposition research specifically paid for by the Hillary Clinton Campaign.  Under all ordinary circumstances this under oath revelation would be a game changer; particularly because two of those in Main Justice who knew about the political construct, Zainab Ahmad and Andrew Weissmann, are currently officials directly on the Robert Mueller probe.  However, in the highly partisan era of Trump-hate, the media will completely ignore the scale of this admission by Bruce Ohr.

Transcript Leak #3 — Bruce Ohr Congressional Testimony is Vulgar is its Pretense and Narrative Absurdity.  Well, here we are again; another leaked transcript, this time from DOJ Official Bruce Ohr.  And as with the prior two transcript leaks, we don't get the raw information.  So let me first, necessarily, reassert our CTH position on these "leaks".  Leaking is bad, period; in all directions.  Because *leaking* is simply a method, a mechanism, to direct and control the focus of sunlight upon illicit action.  Regardless of whether you support or oppose the message within any individual leak; the leak itself does not expose corruption... only full and unfiltered information can expose corruption.  That means we need the actual raw transcripts to make determinations for ourselves.

Burying the Other Russia Story.  Over 18 months of reviewing tens of thousands of documents and interviewing every relevant witness, no Senate or House Committee has unearthed evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to win the presidential election.  If Special Counsel Robert Mueller has found more, he hasn't made it public.  But House investigators have uncovered details of a Democratic scheme to prod the FBI to investigate the Trump campaign.  We now know that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee hired Fusion GPS, which hired an intelligence-gun-for-hire, Christopher Steele, to write a "dossier" on Donald Trump's supposed links to Russia.  Mr. Steele fed that document to the FBI, even as he secretly alerted the media to the FBI probe that Team Clinton had helped to initiate.  Fusion, the oppo-research firm, was also supplying its dossier info to senior Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, whose wife, Nellie, worked for Fusion.

Claiming 'spousal privilege' to stonewall Congress.  Congress faced another hurdle this week in its effort to establish the record of how, why and when the FBI was given information from Fusion GPS on its controversial investigation of President Trump.  Just last week, Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson refused to answer any additional questions by invoking his Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination.  Now, former Fusion employee Nellie Ohr, the wife of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, has invoked spousal privilege to refuse to answer questions from the committee.  The use of spousal privilege in this context, however, could prove more damaging for Congress than the underlying allegations involving Ohr.  Congress needs to seriously examine of the basis and scope of this common-law privilege in the context of an oversight investigation.  Despite exaggerated claims on both sides, Congress has a legitimate interest in establishing the underlying facts concerning the work of Fusion GPS and the novel involvement of the Ohrs.

Congressional Testimony:  James Baker Today, Nellie Ohr Tomorrow.  Former FBI chief legal counsel James Baker appeared before a joint committee in congress today for his second round of questioning about the DOJ and FBI activity during the 2016 presidential election.  Nellie Ohr is scheduled to appear tomorrow [10/19/2018].  Previously James Baker informed the committee of his contacts with Michael Sussmann, a lawyer representing the DNC and Clinton campaign, and the objectives of using opposition research provided by the DNC as evidence to support a politically motivated FBI investigation.

Nellie Ohr Invokes Marital Privilege To Avoid Testifying About Her Husband, A DOJ Official.  A former Fusion GPS employee married to Justice Department official Bruce Ohr invoked spousal privilege during congressional testimony Friday, according to lawmakers who attended the closed-door deposition.  By invoking the privilege, Nellie Ohr limited what information she would provide to members of a congressional task force investigating the FBI's handling of the infamous Steele dossier.  Ohr, a Russia expert, was paid more than $40,000 as a contractor for Fusion GPS from late 2015 until just after the 2016 election.

Fusion GPS Operator Glenn Simpson Refuses To Testify to Congress; Chairman Goodlatte Issues Subpoena.  Fusion GPS is a political research firm and network of political operatives who sell their mercenary services to anyone willing to pay.  Fusion has resources inside and outside government and the capability to exploit FBI and NSA databases containing information about U.S. citizens.  Fusion then uses a secondary network of media outlets who they pay to write articles shaped for their purposes.  Fusion GPS is operated by Glenn Simpson.  In April 2016 Hillary Clinton hired Fusion GPS to target her presidential campaign opponent, Donald Trump.  Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson then assigned Russian expert and CIA research analyst Nellie Ohr to the Trump project.  At the time Nellie Ohr's husband, Bruce Ohr, was the #4 ranking official inside the DOJ National Security Division.  Simultaneous to Nellie Ohr's assignment, Fusion GPS also sub-contracted with Christopher Steele for additional material and internal collaboration with Mrs. Ohr.

Sources:  Nellie Ohr Is Refusing To Appear For Congressional Deposition.  Nellie Ohr, the wife of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, is refusing to appear before Congress for a closed-door hearing that was scheduled to take place this Friday, sources tell The Daily Caller News Foundation.  Ohr, who worked for Fusion GPS, the firm behind the Steele dossier, was scheduled to appear for interviews during a joint session with the House Judiciary and House Oversight & Government Reform committees.  But two congressional sources said that she is not cooperating with the requests and will have to be subpoenaed to compel her appearance.

Judicial Watch in Court for Fusion GPS Records.  Judicial Watch was in court last month before U.S. District Court Judge Reggie B. Walton regarding communications of the Office of the Attorney General with Nellie Ohr, the wife of former Senior DOJ Official Bruce Ohr, who was critical to the creation of the Clinton/DNC dossier.  The subject of the hearing was the lawsuit Judicial Watch filed on March 1 this year after the Department of Justice failed to respond to our December 12, 2017, FOIA request (Judicial Watch v.  U.S. Department of Justice (No.1:18-cv-00491)).

Bruce and Nellie Ohr.  Bruce Ohr, the former Associate Deputy Attorney General who served as the fourth-highest ranking official in the Justice Department, will testify before the House Judiciary Committee on August 28th, 2018, to answer questions regarding his connections to anti-Trump dossier author Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS.  According to Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., Ohr had over sixty contacts with Christopher Steele going as far back as January of 2016. [...] Bruce Ohr's wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS and the Ohrs' connection to the dossier was kept secret for nearly a year after the dossier's publication.  Bruce Ohr even failed to disclose Nellie's work for Fusion on his annual financial disclosure forms.

Bruce Ohr May Have Broken More Than The Law By Pushing His Wife's Opposition Research To The FBI.  A review of publicly available information causes a reasonable person to wonder whether Bruce Ohr broke the law by promoting his wife's anti-Trump research to the FBI when he was working at the Justice Department.  The law prohibits public officials from involvement in matters in which their spouse has a financial interest.  The question is, Did Ohr "personally and substantially" participate in a particular matter in which his spouse had a "financial interest" while he was employed by the Justice Department as the assistant attorney general?

Judge Linked to Bruce Ohr Delays Release of Ohr Docs.  Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch sued the Justice Department in March of this year for docs and records related to Bruce and Nellie Ohr and Fusion GPS.  On Thursday [9/13/2018], President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton attended a hearing along with JW counsel Ramona Cotca to obtain Bruce Ohr docs after months of stonewalling from the DOJ.  The Judge assigned to the case admitted he previously worked with Bruce Ohr at the DOJ and delayed the release of Ohr emails to December 1st (after the midterms).  The Bruce Ohr-linked Judge also gave the DOJ until February of 2019 to turn over calendars (dockets).

Real 'Collusion' — Deep State's Failed Effort To Elect Hillary Clinton Unravels.  President Trump may soon release classified documents related to top FBI official Bruce Ohr and former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.  If so, it's likely to reveal once and for all the sham nature of the FBI's "investigation" of alleged Trump-Russia collusion during the 2016 election.

The Circus of Resistance.  Bruce Ohr, once number four at the Department of Justice, and whose wife was working with Christopher Steele on the Fusion GPS file (a fact he has never disclosed willingly), now more or less has made a mockery of the FBI narrative of when, why, and how it began surveilling American citizens and infiltrating the Trump campaign.  Ohr apparently has testified that well before the election, and well before the application of FISA warrants, he was working with the FBI, the already discredited Christopher Steele, and a Russian oligarch either to smear candidate Trump, or to facilitate the entry into the United States of a once barred and questionable Russian grandee, or both.

Trump Reportedly Plans on Declassifying Bruce Ohr and Carter Page Documents.  President Donald Trump is reportedly planning on declassifying Carter Page and Bruce Ohr documents, according to an Axios report on Sunday [9/9/2018]. [...] Ohr has been accused by the Congressional Republicans and Trump of acting as a go-between for Justice Department, British spy Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS.  Page was allegedly the victim of illegal spying by the Obama administration aimed at taking down Trump.

Sidney Powell Discusses Robert Mueller's Team, Bruce Ohr and the Bigger FISA Picture.  Author and columnist Sidney Powell appeared last night on Lou Dobbs television show to discuss the special counsel investigation, the testimony of Bruce Ohr, and the bigger issues surrounding the abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).  Mrs. Powell is one of the few knowledgeable people who reminds the audience where the origin the political surveillance operation began; the abuse of the NSA and FBI databases; which led to the corrupt abuse of the FISA court.

Congressional Sources Confirm Timeline of Bruce Ohr, Chris Steele and FBI Contacts With Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page and Peter Strzok.  Within the massive assembly of documents, emails, text messages, congressional testimony and portions of media reports a clear timeline emerged.  Part of that timeline was based on the fact that certain events had to have taken place — at specific times — in order to reconcile the downstream activity.  From that circumstantial timeline CTH was able to assemble a graphic to help understand how corrupt DOJ and FBI officials had to have used information from Fusion-GPS, Nellie Ohr and Christopher Steele; passed on to Bruce Ohr in the DOJ; then delivered to Peter Strzok (FBI) for exploitation eventually culminating in the October 21st, 2016, Title-1 FISA warrant against U.S. Person Carter Page.  The key point of the graphic, which ran counter to all MSM reporting, was a trail of circumstantial evidence showing Bruce Ohr had to have been in contact with Christopher Steele much earlier than anyone realized.

Bruce Ohr's efforts to secretly reshape the Trump probe started earlier in summer '16.  July and August 2016 one day may be remembered as the infamous summer of Steele and Ohr.  That's because new evidence shows former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr's efforts to influence the FBI's Russia probe — on behalf of Donald Trump-despising British spy Christopher Steele — started much earlier than previously described.  For much of the past year, many in Congress have labored under the notion that Ohr, then the No. 4 Department of Justice (DOJ) official, began assisting the FBI's probe into Russia election collusion only after Trump won the 2016 election.

N.Y. Times Throws Up a Smokescreen for Bruce Ohr.  If this weekend's bombshell story in the New York Times is to be believed, the nation's top law enforcement agency under Barack Obama was not only corrupt, it was really dumb, too.  In an effort to get ahead of the release of Bruce Ohr's private congressional testimony — which undoubtedly will include more stunning details about the depth of his relationship with a paid political operative from another country — and mitigate the damage from Ohr's recently released emails, the Times is already working to cover the Justice Department official's tracks.

More Devastating Leaks From Bruce Ohr Testimony.  It will be very interesting when the joint committee releases the transcript from Lisa Page and Bruce Ohr. [...] The admission that Nellie Ohr was contributing to the dossier is a really important specific point.  We always suspected some of the dossier content was attributable to Mrs. Ohr, this confirms that suspicion.  Additionally, on the day before Mr. Ohr testified to congress, embarrassingly the New York Times launched a proactive defense surrounding his predicted testimony; within the August 27th article they cited Fusion GPS as a source saying Nellie Ohr never worked on the dossier.

Bruce Ohr Worked With Andrew Weissmann, While Nellie Ohr Worked For Fusion GPS in 2015.  Last Sunday [8/26/2018] Representative Darrell Issa was being interviewed by Maria Bartiromo about the testimony of Bruce Ohr when Issa innocuously said that Nellie Ohr was working for Fusion GPS in 2015.  Previous to that statement by Issa the timeline for Nellie Ohr working with Fusion GPS began in April of 2016 (simultaneous to Fusion beginning the contract work for the Clinton Campaign and sub-contracting of Chris Steele).  If the 2015 date was correct, this was a big deal; a VERY BIG deal.

Senior FBI, DOJ Officials Knowingly Withheld Conflicts From Secret Court, Lawmakers Say.  A group of senior FBI and Justice Department (DOJ) officials knew about conflicts of interest linked to the infamous anti-Trump dossier and knowingly withheld that information from a secret surveillance court in order to obtain a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign, according to lawmakers.  The lawmakers on Aug. 28 questioned Bruce Ohr, a once-senior DOJ official who has since been demoted for failing to disclose the same conflicts of interest to his superiors.  During a seven-hour session, Ohr told members of the House Judiciary and Government Oversight committees that he informed six senior FBI and DOJ officials that his wife received $44,000 from Fusion GPS while she worked on the same anti-Trump project as Christopher Steele, the former British spy who concocted the dossier.

Ohr speaks! (Behind closed doors).  There are two closely related dangers for the bureaucratic, political, and media coalition that seeks to eject Trump from the body politic and teach the lesson to any future potential disruptor of the Establishment that such a mission is both dangerous and futile.  The first danger is exposure of the Obama administration's spying on the candidate running against its designated successor, Hillary Clinton.  As many have noted, this is the same motive as the Watergate burglary, only of a magnitude a thousand times greater.  The ability of the NSA to monitor every form of electronic communication (except ham radio — as employed by Bruce Ohr's wife, Nellie) means that virtually all significant information in the Trump campaign was available, so long as the officials in question were in communication with one of the people named in the FISA warrants obtained by the cabal operatives.

Trump turns up the heat on Sessions to fire Bruce Ohr.  Donald Trump is accusing Justice Department 'boss' Bruce Ohr of colluding with his wife Nellie to deliver the dossier of salacious claims about the president's sex life to the FBI.  He wants Ohr to be fired by Jeff Sessions, mounting a campaign against both officials that seems to be gaining traction after key lawmakers said this week they'd support Trump if he axed his his attorney general.  'Wow, Nellie Ohr, Bruce Ohr's wife, is a Russia expert who is fluent in Russian.  She worked for Fusion GPS where she was paid a lot.  Collusion!' Trump said.  'Bruce was a boss at the Department of Justice and is, unbelievably, still there!'

What Bruce Ohr Told Congress.  If Mr. Ohr is only now under the spotlight, it's because it has taken so much effort to unpack his role in the FBI's 2016 investigation of the Trump campaign.  Over the past year, congressional investigators found out that Mr. Ohr's wife, Nellie, worked for Fusion GPS, the opposition-research firm that gave its infamous dossier, funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign, to the FBI.  They then discovered that Mr. Ohr had numerous interactions of his own with Fusion chief Glenn Simpson and dossier author Christopher Steele, and that he passed on information from these talks to the bureau.  So the G-men were being fed the dossier allegations from both the outside and the inside.  This week's news is that Mr. Ohr's deliveries to the FBI came with a caveat.  Congress already knew that Mr. Ohr had been aware of Mr. Steele's political biases.  In notes Mr. Ohr took of a September 2016 conversation with Mr. Steele, he wrote that the dossier author "was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president."  Congressional sources tell me that Mr. Ohr revealed Tuesday [8/28/2018] that he verbally warned the FBI that its source had a credibility problem, alerting the bureau to Mr. Steele's leanings and motives.  He also informed the bureau that Mrs. Ohr was working for Fusion and contributing to the dossier project.

Republicans find conflicts in Bruce Ohr's closed-door testimony.  Justice Department official Bruce Ohr delivered roughly 8 hours of closed-door testimony to House lawmakers on Tuesday that conflicted with some of the past statements they've heard from others as they investigate how the government decided to investigate President Trump's campaign, according to Republican lawmakers.  "It became very clear that there are a number of factual conflicts," Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., told reporters.  "Either Bruce Ohr's lying or Glenn Simpson's lying."  Simpson is the cofounder of Fusion GPS, which put together the questionable dossier on Trump that was eventually used as a basis for surveilling former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.  They also said his testimony conflicted with that of former FBI attorney Lisa Page.  Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., also said there "some conflicts in terms of who met with whom at what time, based on sworn testimonies."

Exclusive: DOJ Official Bruce Ohr Hid Wife's Fusion GPS Payments From Ethics Officials.  Bruce Ohr, the Department of Justice official who brought opposition research on President Donald Trump to the FBI, did not disclose that Fusion GPS, which performed that research at the Democratic National Committee's behest, was paying his wife, and did not obtain a conflict of interest waiver from his superiors at the Justice Department, documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.  The omission may explain why Ohr was demoted from his post as associate deputy attorney general after the relationship between Fusion GPS and his wife emerged and Fusion founder Glenn Simpson acknowledged meeting with Ohr.  Willfully falsifying government ethics forms can carry a penalty of jail time, if convicted.

Former Judge:  Ohr, Comey Could Be Held In Contempt Of Court For Misrepresentations.  A FISA court judge has grounds to hold Department of Justice officials including Bruce Ohr in contempt of court for making misrepresentations about the sources of information used to obtain a surveillance warrant against a Trump associate, a former judge and Republican congressman said.  "I think it's important to know who the FISA judge was, and why with all the info he's had for some time, he has not put anyone in jail for committing fraud on his court," Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican who serves on the Committee on the Judiciary, told The Daily Caller News Foundation Friday [2/2/2018].

GOP chairman readies Steele dossier subpoenas.  The Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee is readying subpoenas for people connected to the controversial "Steele" dossier, sources tell The Hill.  Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) is preparing subpoenas for Justice Department (DOJ) official Bruce Ohr, his wife Nellie Ohr and Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, according to two congressional sources familiar with the matter.

Latest Reports of FBI/DOJ Counterintelligence Operation Give Evelyn Farkas Statements New Light.  In the past six weeks a stunning amount of evidence has been accumulating that shows how the Obama Administration weaponized the FBI and DOJ and launched a political campaign spying operation into candidate Donald Trump.  There have been daily revelations showing a considerable collaboration between the White House, Hillary Clinton, the DNC, Fusion-GPS founder Glenn Simpson; his wife Mary Jacoby, DOJ Deputy Bruce Ohr and his wife Fusion GPS employee Nellie Ohr, Russian Dossier author Christopher Steele, FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page; and the highest levels of officials within the FBI, including Chief Legal Counsel James Baker and FBI Asst.  Director Andrew McCabe.  All of the evidence points in one transparently obvious direction; toward a 2016 collaborative effort structured to use a counterintelligence operation to conduct wiretaps and surveillance on the presidential campaign of candidate Donald Trump.

Wife of DOJ Deputy Was Fusion GPS Employee, CIA Research Aid, and Applied for HAM Radio License Month After Contracting MI6 Agent Christopher Steele.  A month after Hillary Clinton hired Fusion GPS (April 2016) to sub-contract retired British MI6 agent Christopher Steele to write the opposition research report "the Trump Russia Dossier", Fusion GPS employee Nellie Ohr applied for a HAM radio license (May 23rd 2016); a communication tool that would allow Nellie Ohr and Christopher Steele the ability to communicate outside the normal risk of communication intercepts.  Keeping in mind, both Bruce and Nellie Ohr's subject matter skill-set within the DOJ would provide them with a comprehensive understanding of how to network and communicate with international actors outside the traditional risk of communication intercepts.  In short, Mrs. Nelli Ohr would know that using HAM radio frequencies would be a way to avoid the risk of U.S. intelligence intercepts on her communications.

Wife of demoted DOJ official worked for firm behind anti-Trump dossier.  A senior Justice Department official demoted last week for concealing his meetings with the men behind the anti-Trump "dossier" had even closer ties to Fusion GPS, the firm responsible for the incendiary document, than have been disclosed, Fox News has confirmed:  The official's wife worked for Fusion GPS during the 2016 election.  Contacted by Fox News, investigators for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) confirmed that Nellie H. Ohr, wife of the demoted official, Bruce G. Ohr, worked for the opposition research firm last year.

Why Did Trey Gowdy Just Omit Peter Strzok From Key List of FBI Officials He Wants To Grill?  This is odd.  In a letter sent to Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday [12/19/2017], both Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) demanded the Justice Department make FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, FBI lawyer Lisa Page and FBI chief of staff Jim Rybicki, available for "transcribed interviews."  Why wasn't disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok and demoted Justice Department official Bruce G. Ohr, along with his Fusion GPS-linked wife, Nellie, asked to be made available for interviews?

Fusion GPS admits DOJ official's wife Nellie Ohr [was] hired to probe Trump.  A co-founder of the opposition research firm Fusion GPS acknowledged in a new court document that his company hired the wife of a senior Justice Department official to help investigate then-candidate Donald Trump last year.  The confirmation from Glenn Simpson came in a signed declaration filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., and provided a fuller picture of the nature of Nellie Ohr's work — after Fox News first reported on her connection to Fusion GPS.

Fusion GPS Admits Nellie Ohr [was]Hired to Probe Trump.  Married to now demoted DOJ hack and Rod Rosenstein's right hand man, Bruce Ohr, Nellie Ohr has been officially confirmed to have been hired by Fusion GPS to probe Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign.  Yet, this doesn't seem to be getting much media coverage outside of Fox News.

Fusion GPS Paid Top DOJ Official's Wife To Dig Up Dirt On Trump.  Court documents reveal the opposition research firm that put together a dossier filled with wild, unsubstantiated claims about Donald Trump hired the spouse of a newly demoted Justice Department official to dig up dirt on Trump.  Glenn Simpson, co-founder of Fusion GPS — the infamous firm behind the dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele — stated in a court declaration that his firm hired Nellie H. Ohr as a subcontractor to help with "research and analysis of Mr. Trump," according to Chuck Ross at The Daily Caller.  Nellie H. Ohr is married to Bruce G. Ohr, who was associate deputy attorney general at the DOJ until he was recently demoted.

Are Anti-Trump Conspirators Using HAM Radio to Communicate?  Christopher Steele, the former MI6 spy, was hired by Fusion GPS in April, 2016.  Months later, Mrs. Ohr joined Mr. Steele at the opposition research firm, after being hired by Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson to investigate then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.  Additionally, her husband, Bruce Ohr, reportedly met with Mr. Steele during this time period, and with Mr. Simpson after President Trump's victory.  It is not clear if Mrs. Ohr ever used her HAM license, or if she herself owns the equipment to do so, but what is interesting, is the 1970s technology, when blended with modern day communications, can create an untraceable protocol for clandestine transmissions.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with ham radio, the transmission of encrypted messages by ham operators is generally illegal.  The use of the ham radio bands in connection with any illegal activity is itself illegal, too.  Speaking to business associates about business is also prohibited.  And chatting across town from one's car, which was once a novelty, is now done by cell phone; therefore, the only reason that I can imagine for Mrs. Ohr to get a ham radio license — if her intent was to communicate secretly and send data files without using the (presumably wiretapped) telephone — is to make it easier to buy transmitting equipment without raising suspicion.  The proprietors of ham radio shops tend to ask for your callsign when you buy anything — especially anything with a transmitter in it.  Having a license and a callsign would also make it unnecessary to make unidentified transmissions, which would attract the attention of other ham operators, and then the FCC.  Incidentally, the "ham" in ham radio is not an acronym and is only capitalized by people who don't know much about it.

House Judiciary Lawmakers Mull Subpoenas on FBI, DOJ After Text Messages Reveal 'Path' to Stop Trump.  Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee said on Wednesday it was time to issue subpoenas to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Justice Department, following the release of texts from FBI officials that suggested they wanted to stop Trump's election.  "It's time for subpoenas from our committee, not just from the intelligence committee, but from our committee.  Subpoenas for documents that we rightfully should have an ability to see," said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), a senior member of the committee.  He also said he wanted to subpoena Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, FBI senior official Peter Strzok, and senior Justice Department official Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie Ohr.
