Obama Index Page, especially
if you arrived here by using a search engine.
One could easily get the idea that President Barack H. Obama is losing his grip on reality,
based on his own words and deeds, especially over the last six or eight years.
What sane man says, "we are the ones we have been waiting for," referring to himself?
What sane man would say, upon his inauguration that "this is the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and the
planet began to heal"? What well-adjusted man would write two autobiographies before the age of 45?
In his speeches, he sometimes refers to
his sons. The man has no sons.
If you or I said and did the things Barack H. Obama has said and done over the last six years, there's a good chance we'd be
involuntarily institutionalized for the safety of society at large.
Barack
Obama, 21st-Century Schizoid Man. [Scroll down] No, poor old Joe isn't
running things now, nor was he back when he was "elected" and still had two neurons to rub
together. It's always been Barack Obama. Barry O's the puppet master who's been running
the show for fifteen years now, eight overtly and seven covertly, leading the Deep State efforts
against sitting President Trump and later telling senile Joe exactly what to say on notecards and
teleprompters. [...] Poor Obama — so narcissistic, neurotic, and incongruent. Such
a nowhere man, making all his nowhere plans, desperately hoping DJT won't be re-elected. He's
black, he's white, he's gay, he's straight, he's Christian yet loves Iran and the adhan, he
was president of the USA for eight years and yet he hates and has often apologized for his country.
We're
Worried About Obama: Bug-Eyed, Stammering, Croaking Out Insults. Barack Obama sounded somewhat panicky
this past weekend. His voice was cracking, he stammered and his eyes were bugging out of this head during some of his
speeches. In the clip below, taken from his speeches, Mr. Obama expresses concerns about putting people back to
work. Hasn't he noticed that Donald Trump did that? Obama's the one who created non-existent shovel-ready
jobs. Then he mocked people who are concerned about the 12,000 anonymous people, funded by leftists, who are marching to the
USA. Some have weapons and Mexican Federal police said they use the women and children as shields. [Video clip]
Did
Biden, Holder, and Clinton discuss invoking the 25th Amendment against Obama? [Scroll down] The phrase
"unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office" can refer to a physical or a mental incapacity. There is a
lot of evidence that Obama had mental incapacities. [#1] Obama fervently believed that there is a global doomsday
scenario that is going to destroy the world. He believed that the Earth is getting hotter and hotter, despite clear
scientific evidence that it is not, and feared the destruction of the planet. That's delusional. [#2] Obama
was against redefining marriage when he began his presidency. Then he suddenly became for it. That's evidence of
a split personality. [#3] Obama actually believed that boys can become girls simply by saying so and ordered
schools to let these confused boys into girls' bathrooms. That's also delusional. [#4] Obama was vaguely
aware that we have been fighting some groups in the Middle East, one of them with the word "Islamic" in the name, but Obama
was unaware that this group is Muslim and has Muslims in it. [#5] Obama had delusions that he was a king rather
than a mere president. He thought he could promulgate laws on immigration, health care, and welfare all on his own and
did so. That was also clearly delusional.
Dr.
Media examining Trump? Why not examine Obama instead? Obama was paranoid, delusional, and a power-hungry autocrat who
didn't care about equal justice, his oath to enforce laws, the Constitution, economic opportunity for all, or the safety of the people.
Obama wiretapped James Rosen, threw Dinesh D'Souza in jail, and spied on Sharyl Attkisson. If you were an opponent of Obama, you
weren't safe. I did not see supporters thrown in jail. The State Department deliberately deleted embarrassing questions from
James Rosen about Iran. (The media and Democrats didn't care.) Obama illegally spied on thousands of Americans for years and
spied on his political opponent, Trump. Obama changed the rules so that members of his staff and bureaucrats could illegally unmask
people's names and illegally leak conversations to the media. There was no punishment by the Justice Department, and somehow there
were no leaks surrounding Hillary or Obama.
Spot the crazy president.
President Obama threatened to cut off education funds if schools didn't allow boys to go into girls' facilities if they felt like girls.
Anyone who not only thinks that it is OK for boys to expose their sex organs to girls, but thinks the government should force everyone to
allow it is off his rocker.
He continually lied when saying people could keep their doctors and their plans and premiums would drop substantially. [...] Pathological liars
are both crazy and dangerous. He kept Eric Holder even after Holder committed perjury. It is crazy that honesty was of so little
importance to the president. [...] He continually illegally spied on people, including political enemies throughout his term in office.
Paranoia certainly shows a mental illness. He blamed Bush throughout his term, and now he and others blame Trump for the collapse of
Obamacare. The fact that the media allow this deflection of blame shows that they are crazy, too. He, Hillary, and others allowed
Americans to die while concocting a lie about a video. Again, pathological liars are crazy and dangerous. Did the president go into
hiding that night? We still don't know where he was that night, and the media never have cared.
Legacy of Delusion.
Obama ended his administration as it began, with a participation trophy. In 2009, he was given the Nobel Peace Prize for what
he might do, and now, less than three weeks before he leaves office, Obama awarded himself the Department of Defense Medal for
Distinguished Public Service for what he didn't do. Delusional is the only term that I can muster to describe the chasm
that has existed between what the Obama administration perceived or wanted us to believe and the actual state of the nation.
Over the course of eight years, Obama's pronouncements steadily became, not motivational instruments or representations of a desired
state of affairs, but feats of political transubstantiation, where, if he utters them, words become reality. Reflecting upon his
time in office, Obama recently noted the "extraordinary progress" the country has made over the last eight years. Like beauty,
progress is in the eye of the beholder.
Do we live in North Korea? President
Obama Awards Himself A "Distinguished Public Service Medal". After eight years of magnanimous humility,
servility and deferential governance toward his political opposition, 'President selfless' awards himself the Medal of
Distinguished Public Service. Thus, President Obama officially declares himself the greatest public servant during his
own tenure.
Obama
grotesquely had himself awarded a Defense Dept. medal yesterday. President Obama has another ironic award for
his trophy shelf, to accompany his Nobel Peace Prize and all those participation trophies he got at Punahou for his basketball
skills. His appointee and subordinate Ash Carter yesterday [1/4/2017] pinned a military medal — the Department
of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service — on his boss, as Warner Todd Huston reported for Breitbart.
President
Obama Awards Himself With Distinguished Public Service Medal. This is just sad. Obama was so desperate to
feel important, despite the fact that most of the world hates him, that on Wednesday he added another prestigious medal to
his Nobel Prize collection. Obama asked Defense Secretary Ash Carter to award him with the Department of Defense Medal
for Distinguished Public Service. Secretary Carter awarded his boss with the medal January 4th during the Armed Forces
Honor Farewell Review for the President held in Virginia. The press reported that Carter insisted that the medal was a
token of appreciation for Obama's service as commander in chief.
Sociopath
or Pathological Liar: What Difference at this point does it make? A Sociopath is an individual who has
been medically diagnosed with Anti-Social Personality Disorder. This mental illness is a chronic condition in which the
feelings and rights of other human beings are totally marginalized by the Sociopath. In some instances, this type of
mental disease can be so acute that the affected person believes they are above the law, and they often show no shame for
callously breaking societal rules and norms on a routine basis.
Does
Obama's Troubled Childhood Explain His Bathroom Weirdness? At age ten, the child Barry Soetoro was sent by his biological mother from
Jakarta, Indonesia to Hawaii, where his grandparents apparently handed him over to the care of a person of known and questionable character, his "mentor,"
Frank Marshall Davis. There is no known legal basis for this double transfer of parental responsibility. [...] Davis shows strong features of
oppositional-defiant disorder, a compulsive need to break the boundaries of socially accepted behavior. For example, he allegedly took naked
photos of Obama's mother, dedicated his life to the Communist Party at a time when it was viewed as a threat to national survival, wrote passages
involving pedophilia, and expressed his rage in racial terms. Davis mixed his obsessive racial anger with sexual provocation and revolutionary
politics. He was not a fantasy revolutionary. He really hated those he considered enemies. As an adult, Barack Obama shows many of
the same psychological features. Other father figures in Obama's life are also enraged, racially charged, and emotionally obsessive.
Jeremiah Wright is an obvious example, but he is not the only one. The important point is that the young Barry Soetoro lived with father
figures who were consumed with racial hatred.
Another
Reveal into Obama's Confused Psyche. In 2012 Obama famously drew a red line over the Syrian government's use of
chemical weapons, following a sarin gas attack that killed over 1000 civilians. And then a year later Obama turned tail when
challenged by the Syrians, although the military, America's allies, and even his inner circle of advisors believed American action
was necessary and imminent. The targets were selected and the armed forces prepared. In Hillary Clinton's words "If you say
you're going to strike you have to strike. There is no choice." It's not often that Hillary is right, but Obama's spineless
bungling was so obvious that most everybody, including America's friends and enemies, understood exactly what had occurred.
Most everybody that is, except Obama himself. Somehow Obama twisted this failure into a success in his own mind.
Feds
Hold Meeting on Border 'Concerns' About the Environment. The federal government is holding a meeting to discuss
concerns it has over the U.S.-Mexico border, focusing solely on climate change. The Environmental Protection Agency
announced the two-day meeting with the "Good Neighbor Environmental Board," an independent federal advisory committee, to
talk about "climate change resilience" along the southwestern border.
The Editor says...
Is Barack H. Obama worried about anchor babies arriving by the thousands? Is he concerned about the tens of thousands of freeloaders looking for
food stamps and AFDC? Does he care about violent criminals entering the country? Does he see illegal immigration as a threat to national security?
Might he be worried about an influx of lice, scabies, tuberculosis and chicken pox? No -- Mr. Obama's primary concern is global warming, or
whatever they call it these days. What does that tell you?
The Lamest Duck. We have entered a most
dangerous period of the Obama presidency. It's not just that every rogue actor from Kim and Putin and Castro to Maduro and Khamenei
and Xi knows he has one last year to behave badly without fear of reprisal. It's that the president and his team are isolated, aloof,
detached from reality. They think a climate deal is a rebuke to terrorism. They think the response to jihad in San Bernardino
is to 'close the gun-show loophole.' They think a new communications strategy will convince the public that the war against ISIS is
going well. I don't question Obama's sincerity. I question his sanity.
Is Obama Sane?... The 25th Amendment — Section 4... You
Decide. What I have concluded from watching this administration and Congress through all their shenanigans is
every person in Congress, the Obama administration and the alphabet agency department heads all have a mental disorder.
The mental disorders vary, but it is evident in their very actions these people epitomize the phrase, "the patients are running
the asylum." The main mental disorder coming from the piece of straw occupying the Oval Office is none other than mythomania
or psuedological fanstastica. Those are fancy names for habitual pathological liars. According to much of the
literature, this disorder, also known as Pathological Lying Disorder, is not included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual
for Mental Disorders (DSM-IV). However, many psychiatrists and psychologists consider this problem a distinct mental disorder.
Projection: Obama:
'Sizable percentage" of world leaders probably crazy. President Obama's latest foray into the pop culture world
was an appearance on the Jerry Seinfeld web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee." [...] Much of the conversation is unfunny
banality -- which pretty much describes the comedian's long running TV show. But the question of whether the president was
actually describing himself when he talked about crazy world leaders is an interesting one. Recent press conferences -- as
infrequent as they are -- have shown the president to be detatched, mostly bored with national and world affairs. Do world
leaders look into his eyes these days and wonder if Obama, too, is "gone"?
For Obama, It's Not Delusion,
It's Purpose. There are only two possible rationales for this sort of disconnect with reality: first, the Obama
administration knows they're full of it, but they keep on gritting their teeth and pushing the misinformation; second, they seriously
believe that they are achieving magnificent results. In other words, they're either cynical or delusional. My money's on
delusional. Barack Obama is a pseudo-intellectual who believes so deeply in the power of his own ideas that he gets lost in them.
It never occurs to him that they could breed violence or evil. [...] Thus alleged deserter Bowe Bergdahl becomes a soldier who served
honorably; Benghazi becomes a battle over a YouTube video; Israel becomes the aggressor against the peaceful Palestinians; ISIS becomes
a jayvee threat; Iran becomes a potential ally. Obama has done the calculations on his chalkboard, and they all add up.
Our
Greatest Threat: Carbon Dioxide Or... Something Else? If we were aboard a sinking ship, and the captain boldly
stated that to prevent submersion we must turn off the air conditioners, burn less oil, and start using squirrelly new-fangled
light bulbs, it would be clear that the captain had truly lost his mind. President Obama's fixation on climate change as
the most pressing issue facing the nation whilst experiencing a global conflagration of Islamic extremist terrorism, should be
seen no differently.
The
warped world of our delusional president. One of the more intriguing — and disturbing —
aspects of Barack Obama's presidential behavior is his stubbornly persistent belief that saying something, anything, makes it
so. Even in the face of bold facts to the contrary. ObamaCare state exchanges are failing one after the other and he
routinely informs both domestic and foreign audiences that it's a huge success. Thanks to his virtual international coalition
of 65 countries, now minus Canada, Obama says on national TV that ISIS is contained. Hours later, its operatives kill
130 in Paris, an horrific slaughter the Democrat dismissed as a "setback." Yes, especially for the dead people.
Is Our Stoner President Mentally Impaired? Members of
Congress concerned about America's survival have shied away from impeaching President Obama on national security grounds. [...] Rather than accuse
Obama of being a secret Muslim blinded by Marxist ideology, perhaps the way for Congress to save our nation is to invoke the 25th Amendment to the
United States Constitution dealing with presidential disabilities. This amendment allows Congress to review whether or not the president is
able to discharge the powers and duties of his office. If it is determined that he is not, then he can be replaced. A case can be made
that he is so affected by previous drug use that he is just not capable of comprehending reality. As a former member of the "Choom Gang" of
heavy marijuana users, Obama seems indifferent to the facts on the ground concerning the Muslim terrorist threat.
The Editor says...
It would be highly informative for the Congress to arrange for Barack H. Obama to undergo an unexpected drug test, so the American people can
see if he is still using cocaine and marijuana to this day. If he has prohibited drugs in the residential area of the White House, that alone
would be grounds for impeachment.
Incidentally... The
more cannabis you smoke, the more likely you are to be a loser, finds international study. International research has revealed that the
more cannabis you smoke, the more likely you are to be lower paid and have relationship difficulties. The study followed children from birth
up to the age of 38 and found people who smoked cannabis four or more days a week over many years ended up in a lower social class than
their parents. It also found that regular and persistent users ended up with lower-paying, less skilled and less prestigious jobs than
those who were not regular cannabis smokers.
President Obama's Imaginary
World. President Obama lives in a world all his own. It's a world in which he's widely beloved but also
misunderstood, a world in which everyone is racist except for those who support him, a world in which his foreign policy has been
heroically successful and his domestic policy even more so. President Obama lives in Fantasyland.

Claims Fish Swim In Miami Streets Because Of Climate Change — There's Only One Problem. President
Obama's claim on Tuesday [12/1/2015] that fish are swimming in the streets of Miami because of climate change has no basis in
fact, local news outlets are reporting. Obama made the fishy claim, which echoes comments former vice president Al Gore
recently made, during a press conference at a climate summit in Paris.
Has
the president lost his ability to discharge the powers and duties of office? Anyone who listened to President Obama speak to
reporters in Paris on Tuesday [12/1/2015] would reasonably conclude it is high time to start drawing up the papers to transmit to Congress for his
removal. [...] Without the use of the teleprompter, his speech can be described only as "halting." It was impossible to count the
number of times he seized up, able to deaden the silence with only a drawn-out "uh," "um" or "ahhh." The White House dutifully
scrubbed all the halts and stutters from the official transcript, and it was impossible to count them in real time. But a sample of
his incoherent word salad found him stuttering about every 15 words, which comes to more than 330 "uh-um-ahhs" in a single appearance.
Obama
Says US Is Only Country With Mass Shootings. In Paris. Where 130 People Just Got Shot. On Tuesday [12/1/2015],
[Barack H.] Obama continued digging himself deeper on issues ranging from abortion to ISIS. But his most laughable line came with
relation to the Colorado Springs shooting outside the Planned Parenthood facility: "This just doesn't happen in other countries."
He said this in Paris. Yes, Paris. The place where just three weeks ago, 130 people were murdered in a mass shooting attack
by ISIS. The place where just last January, 12 people were murdered at Charlie Hebdo offices and at a kosher deli in an ISIS attack.
Obama Just Said the Most
Stunningly Idiotic Thing EVER. Is Mr. Obama so invested in talking down to America, does he so despise the United States he cannot
conceive that terrible tragedies do in fact occur elsewhere around the world? Or when he is given a script does he not have the mental
capacity to see beyond that script and realize how it does not apply to the real-world situation he finds himself in? It should be said
again — if this was a Republican president who said something so stunningly inaccurate and insensitive there would be open calls
from the media to investigate his mental competence.
Fiorina:
Obama 'delusional' about magnitude of climate change as security threat. [President] Obama has made several
speeches in which he has said climate change is "an urgent and growing threat," including his 2015 State of the Union address
in which he said: "No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change."
Obama's
Recipe for Disaster. When you really boil it down, Obama's bizarre insistence on flooding us with refugees from
an area of the world that is a hotbed for jihadists — and home to a religion that is completely incompatible with western
values comes down to three possibilities: [#1] Obama really is "dumb" [#2] Obama is
insane [#3] Obama is deliberately destroying our nation I'm going with all of the above, with the added
caveat that number three needs to include the question, "and at whose behest?"
President Obama's Altered Reality.
If you are a hardcore Democrat who believes that no Democrat ever does anything wrong, stop reading now! This is not for you.
If your Lord and Savior is Barack Obama, stop reading! You've been given fair warning. Mr. Obama is not interested in
protecting Americans. His daily actions prove it. [...] In the president's speech the morning of the attack he said ISIS was
contained, that they weren't growing. Our president is delusional.
There's No Defense for These Two.
Ever since I learned about Barack Obama's tormented childhood, I waited for the wackiness to come out. Abandoned by his black
father and his white mother. Coddled and loved by his white grandparents. Trying to be white for years, then figuring out
that the percentages were with playing the race card. That man, with all of that turmoil inside him, was never going to be a
healer. He was angry. You cannot be abandoned by your father and mother without being angry unless you have come to find
some God in your life, which Mr. Obama clearly has not.
What makes Obama
tick? It is no longer considered a brilliant or unwarranted diagnosis to conclude that Barack Hussein Obama suffers
from Narcissistic Personality Disorder, in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration
and a lack of empathy for others; all usually disguising a fragile self-image that is vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
It would not be unfair, in my opinion, to speculate that Obama may also demonstrate some characteristics of malignant narcissism,
where individuals might display an increased level of hostility and sadistically undermine organizations in which they are involved,
as well as dehumanize the people with whom they associate; in this case, the United States and ordinary Americans, respectively.
Is Obama nuts? The question supposedly asked by the
government of an entire EU nation, at least according to former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler, "Is Obama
"literally mentally unwell" is as rhetorical in nature as the one that asks, "Is the Pope Catholic?"; the latter all the more
useful now that Francis willingly puts global warming/climate change ahead of the wholesale slaughter of Christians by
Islamic terrorists. Some of us Catholics don't know if the Pope is still Catholic, but we do know that there's more
than one suspected "literally mentally unwell" western leader running some of the countries gobbled up by the EU.
EU
Government Questions Obama's Sanity: 'Believes Obama Is Quite Mentally Unwell' Inquires About Impeachment. A
senior diplomat with a European Union government allegedly told former NSA intelligence analyst and counterintelligence
officer and Daily Beast columnist John Schindler that his/her government believes President Barack Obama is 'quite mentally
unwell' and inquired about impeachment — an apparent suggestion that his/her government believes Obama is unfit to
serve as president and should be removed from office — according to a tweet by Schindler posted Monday [10/12/2015].
Someone Else Questions Obama's Sanity.
And well they should. His actions are frequently inappropriate. The other day he made a speech in which he told Russian
leader Putin what he should do and how he should deal with the shoot-down of flight 17 in Ukraine. He didn't follow up with,
"Or else". He just jacked his jaws inappropriately — and then went on to plan his next vacation.
Obama
The Mental Case? Author Ben Stein Just Said "m [sic] Not Sure Obama Is 'In Good Mental Health'["]. We all know that
regular folks in America have spent the last 7 years wondering about Barack Obama's mental state. Let's face it, most people
center right think he is a lunatic. But we rarely see the pundit class echoing that grumbling. Well, this week author and
conservative pundit Ben Stein broke that silence and questioned Obama's sanity.
Obama
Appears DELUSIONAL During the '60 Minutes' Interview. Unbelievably, Barack Obama does not believe his
leadership is being challenged by Vladimir Putin. Steve Kroft interviewed him for CBS' 60 Minutes and Obama's reaction
was stunning on the clip that 60 Minutes posted on the CBS News website. The interview airs Sunday [10/11/2015].
CBS posted a clip of the interview and it's stunning, not only what he says, but his facial expressions. He appears to be
completely delusional.
Obama:
My Idea Of World Leadership Is Fighting Climate Change. President Obama indicates that when it comes to world
leadership, he has mostly disdain for people who compare him to Russian President Vladimir Putin. When challenged by "60 Minutes"
interviewer Steve Kroft about ceding leadership in the Middle East to Putin, Obama argued that leadership on climate change was more
important than leadership to combat terrorism.
With
a straight face, Obama asserts Putin is weak and no challenge. In an interview broadcast Sunday night [10/11/2015],
President Obama claimed Russian President Putin's recent major military moves in Syria are a sign of weakness and present no
challenge to the American leader. Well, that's a relief, isn't it? Because after annexing Crimea, fomenting armed
rebellion in eastern Ukraine, ignoring Obama's ineffective economic sanctions, selling arms to Iran, moving troops and naval
assets into Syria, delivering a diplomatic note ordering U.S. planes from Syrian skies, then bombing Assad regime opponents,
all in defiance of the American leader, it sure did strike some as a pretty clear challenge.
The
Mask of Sanity: Psychopath-in-Chief? Does this sound like someone we all know? "Poverty of emotional feelings,
lack of remorse or shame, superficial charm, pathological lying, egocentricity, a lack of insight, absence of nervousness, an
inability to love, impulsive antisocial acts, failure to learn from experience." It's a summary (by Richard Lynn) of the
first ten of sixteen behavioral traits of the psychopathic personality from the classic work on the subject, Hervey Cleckley's
The Mask of Sanity. The book will be seventy-five years old next year.
Obama appears as if he is on the edge of
snapping. Obama's body language is very telling. He is withdrawn. He looks defeated, worried, physically and emotionally
spent. Is he under a 24 hour watch? Is it more of a question of when he will snap, than if? Surely Obama must be aware that
his White House occupation is coming to an unraveling end. Where will he go? Where will he hide? Will he ever be able to find any
peace of mind for all his lies, deceptions and crimes?
Maybe It's Time for Someone to Evaluate
Barack Obama's Fitness for Office. The president of the United States is delusional. Isn't it time he was evaluated by a
team of professionals to determine if he is fit for office? [...] Dr. Gina Loudon, psychologist and policologist, appeared on Lou Dobbs show
last year and said that she was concerned about President Obama's sanity. [...] Obama's world is a fantasy. Everything is everyone else's
fault. It's never his. He thinks the economy is booming; he forges ahead with high taxation; he wallows in inaction in foreign
affairs; is affixed to heavy regulations and other unpopular initiatives, despite what the people want. His nuclear deal with Iran is
fantastical and he is ready to give Iran everything they want. His "deals" with Cuba, Iran and Russia were also not deals but he acts
as if they were. His ideas rarely conform to reality.
A
'60 Minutes' interview with an unserious President Obama. Mr. Obama's claim that Russia meddled in Ukraine out
of weakness was ridiculous. The president doubled down on this nonsensical claim in a "60 Minutes" interview with Steve
Kroft broadcast on Sunday when he said Putin's military mission in Syria is a sign of Russia's weakness, not a show of Putin's
leadership. It was a painful interview to watch as the leader of the free world spoke about his disastrous foreign policy
as if he lived in a fantasy world.
Psychopathy
in the White House. [T]here is evidence that Obama is remorseless. Charles Woods,
father of a Navy SEAL killed in the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, was only looking
for some emotional support from the Commander in Chief. Instead, here's how he described his meeting
with Obama at Andrews Air Force base: "His face was pointed towards me but he would not look me in the
eye," Woods says of meeting Obama. "I could tell he was not sorry. He had no remorse."
Want more recent evidence of Obama's lack of remorse? On 21 July, 2015, he had the impudence to
deny that there was anything wrong with the IRS targeting conservative groups. His lack of remorse
that the IRS caused turmoil to American citizens' lives is pathological because when it seemed politically
expedient he condemned the IRS abuses and found the inspector general's findings "inexcusable."
Obama the triple-loser.
Obama is delusional. He told a group from the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative that he is
proudest of three accomplishments: 1) the economic recovery, 2) Obamacare, and 3) his foreign
policy. Narcissism is narcissism. It's egotism that loves the reflection of its own ego. But
when it spills over into the president's warped perception of reality and the reality of the world depends on his
clarity, then he, our president, has endangered the world. Boasting about accomplishments that he has not
achieved is mild psychosis with possible deleterious results. Taking credit for three disasters is a failure
to perceive the results of his actions.
Obama
on Daily Show: 'Government Works Better Now That It Probably Ever Has'. In a
conversation with the Daily Show's Jon Stewart, President Obama defended big government, arguing
that it was working better now than ever. Any problems with the system, he argued, was due to a lack
of spending. "Government works better now than it probably ever has, given what we ask it to do,"
he said confidently, assuring that he was able to improve many functions of government during his
time as president.
Restored
U.S. Respect? Is Obama Growing Delusional? President Obama says he has restored the
U.S. as the most respected country in the world — a remark so at odds with facts it begs
the question of whether he's lying, living in a bubble or just delusional.
Obama's
Recent Out-Of-Touch Remarks: What Planet Is He On? America has never been held in
greater esteem than under Obama's leadership. Counterterrorism worked well in Yemen until the
emergency evacuation of embassy and Special Ops forces — and the loss of millions in arms.
The president's half-hearted "war" on the Islamic State is also a "success." As is ObamaCare, never
been working better. Just as he promised. Jobs are finally humming along with unemployment
numbers down (because so many gave up looking). The economy actually shriveled in the first
quarter, but that's because of some unexpected phenomenon called winter. The Mexican border is
secure now because the president says so. Since Bill Clinton was already named the first black
president, the actual first black president claims he's given such staunch support to Israel that he's in
reality the first Jewish president. [...] If Obama says something, it's true.
Mass
Slaughter of Women, Children in Palmyra While Obama Golfs, Eats Ice Cream for Reporters.
Yesterday [5/24/2015], Barack Obama played golf, on the same day that 400 women and children and
hundreds of troops were slaughtered in Palmyra. Today he's yucking it up with reporters and eating
ice cream while a British Lord is calling out for action, saying "we can no longer rule out boots on the
ground." He has not a care in the world. Obama is a completely delusional, unserious man.
Muslims
on Egyptian TV Wonder If Obama Is Insane or on Drugs. You have to see this video, it's
funny. On Egyptian TV, the host and other guests discussed Barack Obama's recent climate
change as the greatest national security speech and they were not impressed.
Sociopath
alert: Barack Obama. [Scroll down] Another sociopathic trait is disregard for
rules. There has certainly never been a President who has abused executive orders that Obama has.
(It's never before been invoked for such an issue as sweeping as immigration reform.) Obama has also
used executive privilege to prevent Congress from forcing Eric Holder to produce documents related to Fast
and Furious, a purpose for which that function was not designed. Yet another sociopathic trait is
lack of shame. One would think that Obama would feel at least a little embarrassed about taking as
many lavish vacations as he has, and playing golf as often as he has, and throwing as many celebrity-studded
parties as he has. But, embarrassment doesn't seem to be part of Obama's emotional repertoire. [...]
Sociopaths delight in spreading discord, and as Sowell points out, that was a large part of Obama's function
as a community organizer.
Is Something Amiss in
the Obama Household? Not to pry into the private lives of the first couple, but the
emotional well-being of the President of the United States is a matter of public interest,
especially in these very trying times, and especially given the President's weird and erratic
behavior in both foreign and domestic affairs. [...] So it's not unreasonable to ask whether the
President is suffering from, say, depression, and if so what he is taking for it. Why he needs so
many vacations. Why he seems so untouched by the thousands of people who are being killed as a
result of his policies.
Obama
is the most dangerous president in history. He lied when promising the world that the
U.S. would never allow Iran's war fanatics to have nuclear weapons. While Obama was demagogically
repeating, "Never! Never!," his alter ego Val Jarrett carried on secret talks with the mullahs, resulting
in today's total surrender. Today we have a fuzzy "framework" (that Iran denies even agreeing to),
which gives the world thirteen years before the mullahs can set off Armageddon. After thirteen
years, all bets are off, assuming the enemy doesn't violate its "promises" tomorrow, which it has a
long history of doing. This is not sane.
The
National Security Disaster That Is The Obama Administration. According to an article
in the WSJ, the 2012 raid on the bin Laden compound in Pakistan netted the single greatest collection
of intelligence materials since 9/11. At the time — and since — the
Obama message was that al Qaeda was all but destroyed and that it was time to wind down the war on
terror. As Obama said, when two years ago he asked Congress to repeal the Authorization For Use of
Military Force (AUMF) passed in the wake of 9/11, this war on terror "must end." However, the
wealth of materials captured in the bin Laden raid told a different story. They told of a vastly
expanding threat from al Qaeda, the Taliban and the ISIS, as well as complicity by Iran. Those facts
contradicted the Obama administration's narrative, so not only were they kept from the public eye,
but in what can only be seen as treasonous insanity, they were walled off from analysis by our
intelligence community for at least a year, and have had only limited availability since.
Yes, read that last line twice and let it sink in.

Obama's
Mental Health: A Checklist. Many people have written about the president's narcissism.
Some have suggested that he may be a sociopath. There is a checklist, developed by Dr. Robert D.
Hare in the 1970s and used around the world to diagnose psychopathy. Dr. Hare would likely admit that
it is not perfect but it is widely used in psychiatric settings and prisons to determine if an inmate is safe
for release. It may be useful in assessing our president and the people with whom he has surrounded himself.
Diary of January 27, 2015.
One thing you may have noticed, as I did, about the media's coverage of President Obama's State of
the Union Address last week, is how often the President's grip on reality was called into question.
[...] "The only plausible rationale" for the President's proposals, avers the [Wall Street]
Journal, "is that he thinks he can gain politically by driving Republicans nuts."
Of course, that doesn't rule out the possibility that he's nuts.
Kamikaze Nation.
The United States is under direct and sustained attack by the combined forces of the tyrannical far left and
radical Islam, punctuated by humiliation abroad and despair at home. We are losing because unlike Walter
Mitty, whose delusions were confined to his own head, Barack Obama has been permitted to play out his most
destructive leftist and pro-Islamic fantasies in real-time from the most powerful office on the planet.
Decline and Fall
of Obama's America. [I]mmediately upon giving an emotional speech about the horrors of
the Islamists' slow beheading of an American journalist named Foley, a few days ago, immediately
upon swearing revenge and retribution, our President went out to play his eighth round of golf in
11 days. He is rapidly closing in on playing 200 rounds since he took office. While
David Cameron, PM of the UK, returned from a vacation in Portugal to deal with the horror as best
he could (the murderer was apparently an Afghan who had lived in Britain for a time), our President went
onto the golf course on the exclusive island of Martha's Vineyard. He then played 18 holes of
golf to prove to the murderers that he could stay cool. This man is not cool. This man is unwell.
Caddell:
"I Have Never Seen A President Occupying Himself In His Own Fantasy World". ["]When I
watched the State of the Union address at the end when the president talked about how people
shouldn't demonize the other side and how you shouldn't be fundraising all the time. It dawned on me
that this man in his own bizarre world. Look, we've had presidents who were competent or incompetent.
We've had presidents who have been manipulative or open. I have never seen a president occupying himself
in his own fantasy world in the twilight zone...["]
The Extraordinary
Life of Barack Obama's Imaginary Son. Once again, Barack Obama's imaginary son has
found himself unfairly in trouble with the law. If you recall, his imaginary son was also shot by an
imaginary neighborhood watch guard in the same style as Trayvon Martin. But Obama's imaginary son is
plucky and resilient and has lived a hard life in the hood so he keeps bouncing back. In his life,
Obama's imaginary son has been shot at, concussed out of football, and racially profiled. Yet he
keeps picking himself up and carrying on.
Obama's
Mental Illness Justifies His Removal from Office Under the 25th Amendment. History has shown that most of the
brutal dictators of the past have share two or three mental illnesses. These illnesses include Narcissistic Personality
Disorder (NPD), Paranoid Personality Disorder (PPD) and Antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). Given the direction of the
country, it is legitimate to ask whether or not this President is indeed mentally ill. In my professional opinion, any
combination of two of these mental illnesses would prevent a President from discharging his duties as prescribed by the
Constitution of the United States.
Obama Swaggers on
Water. The secret to Barack Obama's success is an apparently infinite capacity for
feeling good about himself without any evidence to support the conclusion. That's what propelled a
one-term U.S. senator and former Illinois state legislator with an undistinguished record in either
body to the presidency: an implacable sense of self-confidence drawn from — well I don't
know where it's drawn from. If you watched the press conference today, you saw it on display. He
was relaxed, confident, completely dismissive of his opponents, and bragging shamelessly about his
achievements. The media are already calling it "swagger."
Understanding
Obama's Ebola Psychosis. [Scroll down] But Obama is, in a sense, not playing
with a full deck of cards. He suffers from what might be termed an ideologically driven psychosis.
His behavior is bizarre. He is out of touch with reality. He won't support even the most basic
commonsense Ebola precautions, and he won't acknowledge simple scientific facts. He just keeps on
lecturing and hectoring Americans about how mean and selfish they are to want to keep Ebola out of the
country. Anyone who has followed Obama closely knows that his thinking is robotic and dogmatic,
impervious to facts, logic, and rational arguments that go against his core beliefs.
Is He Out Of His Narcissistic
Mind? Angry brains of narcissists are half-cocked because they still harbor the
painful memories and continue to feel the fear of rejection. They seek vengeance to displace this
anger and subconsciously direct it at individuals or entities who serve as stand-ins for those who
hurt them in childhood. For Obama it's people (e.g., McCain) who threaten his already fragile
self-esteem because they're also in a position of power or, again, with policy opposed to his.
Donald
Trump: Something Mentally Wrong With Obama. Thursday on NewsMax TV's "The Steve Malzberg Show," real estate
mogul Donald Trump called into question President Barack Obama mental health for refusing enact a travel ban on commercial
flights from West African nations suffering with the Ebola outbreak.
Obama
Wants the Democrats to Lose. [Scroll down] What is going on here? The answer
is counterintuitive, but simple: Obama wants the Democrats to lose. Others, including Rush
Limbaugh in June of this year, have touched on this speculation. But, so far as I can tell, no one
has yet gotten to the heart of the issue. Obama, Rush suggests, wants the Democrats to lose in
order to goad the Republicans into impeaching him, which, Obama calculates, will backfire because
he's black, leading to a Democratic sweep in 2016.
The
President's Emotional State Bears Watching. One of the more interesting political/psychological
pastimes these days is to watch how President Obama deals with his crumbling presidency. The answer is:
Not well. [...] What is worth paying increasing attention to, I think, is the emotional state of the president.
It's in front of his donors that his most authentic feelings seem to surface, and it's clear he's becoming increasingly
isolated, embittered, and thin skinned. His excuse making is now chronic and habitual. He's even
displaying some signs of paranoia. Everyone is against him. Obama is becoming Nixonian.
It's
Time to Remove Obama from Office — Before He Gets Us All Killed. Only a madman would
gamble with our lives, our children's lives, and the entire American economy. Why would President
Obama play "Russian Roulette" with the future of our country? It's a gamble no sane leader would take.
The
Throat-Clearing President Versus the Throat-Cutting Terrorists. Last week, President Obama spoke to the United Nations about the growing threat
of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. In the course of that speech, he discussed a wide variety of threats to Western civilization, ranging
from Ebola to global warming, from chaos in Syria to China's incursions in the South China Sea. The speech seemed unfocused, meandering.
But it held together thanks to one common thread: Barack Obama believes that words solve everything. Particularly his own. Obama's
narcissism isn't mere arrogance. It's messianism. It's pure faith that his verbiage can alter the course of history.
Midnight
in Obama's Garden of Good and Evil. Increasingly, I am thinking that Barack Obama does
not know the difference between good and evil. Now I realize implying that someone can't make that
distinction, really the difference between right and wrong, is a harsh condemnation indeed, but I
think it is something that should be examined in Obama's case since it would explain many of the
extraordinary missteps of his presidency. Those missteps are only escalating at the present moment
as evil stalks the globe at an ever rising pace.
The Distraction of Obama's Character. There
have been times over this past summer when I have felt I was living in Night of Camp David. Most people probably don't remember
that old thriller but it was by a once-famous bestselling novelist named Fletcher Knebel. It dealt with a senator who began to suspect
the commander-in-chief was insane and couldn't get anyone to believe him. Watching Obama's narcissistic personality disorder rise to
the surface as, one after another, his policies have imploded has given me that Knebellian sense of anxiety.
Democrats Unfazed.
Obama doesn't look very happy these days. His face is drawn, his hair graying, his voice a monotone.
To keep going he needs a lot of luxury vacations, therapeutic golf with low-level lackeys, and non-stop fawning
from billionaire Democrats at fundraisers. He seems to have tuned out so completely that he hasn't a clue
what's happening. Despite a year of briefings, ISIS was a complete a surprise to him. [...] It's tough [to]
be to a pathological narcissist when the applause stops. The destruction of American prosperity and power
that Obama has purposefully wrought isn't as fun as he thought it would be.
Alabama
GOP Chairman Wants To Know If Obama Is A 'Sociopath'. In his "chairman's corner"
column sent to supporters Monday, state GOP chairman Bill Armistead wrote about the president's
recent golfing and asked: "Is Obama A Sociopath?" "President Obama returned to the White House
last night after a two week vacation to Martha's Vineyard," Armistead wrote. "Amidst an international
crisis in the Middle East, a national crisis in Missouri and the beheading of American journalist James Foley
by ISIS, President Obama practiced his golf swing by day and his dance moves by night."
Golf Is Not the Answer.
Immediately after his telephone call consoling the Foley family on their son's grisly murder at the
hands of Islamofascists, President Barack Obama took a powder. He headed for the golf course.
Yes, the golf course! He had golfed eight times in eleven days, as the world was in tumult the likes of
which we have not experienced since the late 1930s. There is something very odd about this man.
Obama's
Inexplicable Love for the Dark Side. Even the American left is finally realizing that this is
the strangest administration in living memory. [...] Much of this oddity stems from the president's personality,
which many people have described as a mix of major narcissism, borderline personality disorder, and oppositional
defiant disorder. Personality disordered people can be very functional in their jobs. But they are very
destructive to others. People with such disorders rarely admit they can be wrong. Narcissism is
almost defined by that feature: someone who knows with godlike certainty that he is right all the time,
who cannot admit a fault, and who therefore needs to blame others every time something goes wrong. Obama
does this with almost robotic regularity.
Terrorist
horror, then golf: Incongruity fuels Obama critics. He had just hung up the telephone with the
devastated parents before heading in front of the cameras. Unusually emotional, President Obama declared himself
"heartbroken" by the brutal murder of an American journalist, James Foley, and vowed to "be relentless" against Islamic
radicals threatening to kill another American. But as soon as the cameras went off, Mr. Obama headed to his favorite
golf course on Martha's Vineyard, [...]

Fox Biz, Psychologist Worries 'Erratic' Obama May Not Be 'Sane'. Forget about Barack
Obama's ultra-liberal policies — should Americans now be worried about the mental health
of the current occupant of the White House? That was the alarming suggestion Fox Business Network
viewers heard Tuesday evening [6/3/2014]. Talking about the bewildering decision to trade five "high risk"
Taliban leaders for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl on Lou Dobbs Tonight, psychologist Dr. Gina Loudon said
she has become "very, very concerned" that President Obama has become "irrational, erratic and
perhaps not exactly what we might want to deem sane."
The Twenty Fifth Amendment & Barack
Obama's Mental Illness. Basically, we have a modern day Hitler in the White House. No psychiatrist or psychologist would
dare step up to the plate and call out Hitler as the mentally ill individual he was. It would mean their lives. And I'm sure
just as there would have been 10 psychiatrists who would declare Hitler mentally ill, there would have been 10 who thought the man sane.
Unfortunately, this is what the United States is facing. And, the excuse of "we were just following what we were told" will be the
mantra of those engaged in perpetrating this ruse, just as those on trial in Nuremberg claimed.
Shrink questions
sanity of Bergdahl and Obama. A prominent therapist and author has publicly questioned the mental stability of
both Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl and the U.S. president who traded five terrorists back to the Taliban to secure Bergdahl's release.
[...] "I am very, very concerned about the mental stability of this president at this point," Loudon said. "Some of his
behavior seems irrational to me. It seems beyond that of just a typical, narcissistic, arrogant sort of 'I'm a leader of a big
country and I feel tyrannical at the moment' kind of attitude. "It really seems to me like this president is demonstrating behavior
that is not only anti-American, but irrational and erratic and perhaps not exactly what we might want to deem sane," she concluded.
Mr.
Obama Isn't a Typical Narcissistic, Arrogant Tyrant. I hope Fox News commentator Dr. Gina Loudon
has her tax returns in order because I think she's probably going to be audited soon, perhaps that will be right after the
Secret Service shows up at her door. Dr. Gina Loudon, psychologist and policologist, appeared on Lou Dobbs show and said
that she was concerned about President Obama's sanity.
On
Fox Biz, Psychology Expert Worries 'Erratic' Obama May Not Be 'Sane'. Forget about Barack Obama's ultra-liberal

That was the alarming suggestion Fox Business Network viewers heard Tuesday evening [6/3/2014].
Is Barack Obama Mentally Stable? Psychologist Dr.
Gina Loudon recently expressed concern about President Obama's 'erratic' behavior as possibly not being 'sane' on Lou Dobbs Tonight on Fox:
"[...] It really seems to me like this President is demonstrating behavior that is not only anti-American, but irrational and erratic and
perhaps not exactly what we might want to deem sane," Dr. Loudon replied.
The Madness of King George.
We're starting to see psychiatrists, amateur and professional, question Obama's grip on reality,
his emotional stability. He's been called irrational and erratic, and diagnosed as suffering from a
narcissistic personality disorder. Maybe that's not such a stretch. The person who said "this was
the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal" seems just a bit
disconnected from reality. And when he said "we are the ones we have been waiting for," it's not
hard to see a glimmer of a Messianic Complex.
Obama Loses
Complete Touch with Reality. Last week I wrote that President Obama, having been bested by Vladimir
Putin at virtually every turn, has retreated into a world of his own making. "He's created a fantasy world where
disengagement translates into influence and we're strong and Putin is weak," I said. I'm here to report that
Mr. Obama's dissociative disorder has become more, not less, acute.
13K
In Maryland Lost Insurance Thanks to Obamacare and Never Got It Back. As you probably already know, the
President has been boasting about how the Affordable Care Act is succeeding so wonderfully. Barack Obama is
delusional. Consider his question: "Why are folks working so hard for people not to have health
insurance?" Why indeed! The question is quite ironic because Obama is the one who has worked very
hard for people not to have health insurance. And now we have confirmation in Maryland that he has taken
away the insurance of 13,000 people who remain uninsured.
Obama's Great Man Delusion.
Those who suppose themselves Great Men are capable of doing great harm. That has been the case with President Obama's health care
takeover, green energy fiascos, and failed jobs initiatives. Now the effects of his mishandling of foreign affairs are coming to
light not just in the Ukraine, but also in Syria, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, and Afghanistan. Instead of doing the job he was elected
to do, Obama seems to have spent the last five years posing as the greatest leader since Napoleon. There's some
indication that Obama actually believes he is the greatest leader since Napoleon.
Obama's
World of Make Believe. In psychiatry, there's a condition known as dissociative disorder. It's
considered to be a coping mechanism, when the person literally dissociates himself from a situation or experience
too traumatic to integrate with his conscious self. A person escapes reality in ways that are unhealthy.
That pretty well sums up the Obama foreign policy. He cannot understand how someone as brutish, crude,
aggressive and chauvinistic as Vladimir Putin is acting as he is. The fact that in the process Mr. Obama is
being humiliated is simply too much for him to bear. And so he's created a fantasy world where disengagement
translates into influence and we're strong and Putin is weak.
Barack Obama's
Constant State of Cognitive Dissonance. The late Leon Festinger is the social psychologist who proposed the theory
of cognitive dissonance. According to Festinger, until the person suffering with perceptual disharmony can find a way to
justify wrong actions and decisions, it's impossible to achieve a calm mental state, especially when those wrong actions and
decisions challenge the way the cognitively dissonant individual sees himself. That's why placing the blame for his
mistakes on others and attempting to avoid having to admit he's not the sterling specimen he perceives himself to be is the
only way Barack Obama can resolve the disharmony of perceptions and truth raging within his head.
Obama's
Bizarro World Budget For Fiscal 2015. Despite its relative insignificance in the grand scheme of things, the annual
White House budget proposal does provide a window into the president's thinking on the size and scope of government. The
fiscal 2015 budget — released a month late on Tuesday — also manages to showcase Obama's worrisome detachment
from reality.
Obamacare Schadenfreudarama.
The hubris of our ocean-commanding commander-in-chief surely isn't news to readers of this website. He's said that he's smarter and better than
everyone who works for him. His wife informed us that he has "brought us out of the dark and into the light" and that he would fix our broken
souls. The man defined sin itself as "being out of alignment with my values." We may be the ones we've been waiting for, but at the same
time, everyone has been waiting for him. Or as he put it in 2007, "Every place is Barack Obama country once Barack Obama's been there."
"Barack the Incompetent" — It Has a Nice Ring, Doesn't it?
Barack must be shown the door. The question now is, how does he leave — walking out with a smile on his face, forced to grab his stuff
and leave with security officers, or in a white, wrap-around shirt that buckles in the back, on a stretcher? [...] The other way out for Barack
is to feign some kind of debilitating psychological condition, or admit to what many in the mental healthcare field have been saying for
years — Barack is a profoundly mentally ill person.
President Obama wants you and your kids to be his
co-victims. Because of psychological injuries he has described suffering at the hands of his father and mother and grandmother in childhood and adolescence
(when he could not protect himself), [Barack Obama] views anyone who is strong and independent as potentially threatening. It seems to me that free will itself,
when exercised by others, feels ominous to the president. It is no surprise, then, that Mr. Obama would project his distrust and anger upon America itself, at
least in the form of a Constitutional democracy. A free people, empowered to make their own choices, sets off alarm bells for him.
NBC's Chuck Todd: Obama 'Does Not Believe
He Lied'. NBC's Chuck Todd scored a huge interview with President Obama Thursday and opened things by immediately drilling down on the
president's relentlessly repeated lie that under ObamaCare you can keep your current insurance plan if you like it. [...] Even after he elicits a
"sorry" from Obama, Todd keeps after the point for almost ten minutes. Ultimately, though, Todd came away with the impression that Obama
doesn't believe he lied. And Todd is probably right, which is a little unnerving.
Obama as Chaos. If smaller deficits are deemed by most to be better than
larger ones, then Obama agrees and who cares that he was indifferent whether they became bigger or smaller? The media, of course, accepts that what Obama
says on any given day will contradict what he has said or done earlier, or will be an exaggeration or caricature of his opponents' position, or simply be
detached from reality.
Do not read this post, by order of King
Barry the First. The only guy angrier than a leftist who just lost is a leftist who just won. It's not enough that he got what
he wanted. He's seething that anybody has the gall to oppose his decrees. [...] Barack Obama is either completely insane and doesn't realize
he does exactly what he accuses his opponents of doing, or he's the biggest troll in the history of the world. I guess it could be both?
Obama as Captain Queeg.
In President Barack Obama, the United States today has its Captian Queeg on the bridge. He has not committed the "high
crimes and misdemeanors" which the Constitution has established as the grounds for impeachment, or at any rate the necessary
majority of Congress could not at this moment be convinced that he has. Nonetheless, his administration has produced
a record of bungling and bad judgment not even approached by any previous President of modern times and perhaps ever.
Despite mass shooting,
Obama delivers partisan economic speech. There's something seriously wrong with the mind of President Obama. As parts of Washington, DC
remained on lockdown after a mass shooting at the Navy yard near Capitol Hill, Obama delivered a partisan speech on the economy that was previously
scheduled. You would think he would have postponed his attack on his opponents until the DC shooters were apprehended and the bodies of those
murdered weren't still warm.
The Obama M.O.: He told us he was different.
He is. Mr. Obama doesn't do Washington's politics. Disappointed acolytes say it is because he is "passive." That underestimates him.
For Mr. Obama, the affairs of state are wholly a function of whatever is inside his mind.
Obama threatens to veto
bill backing his own delay. President Obama has threatened to veto a House bill that would put into law a decision he made
two weeks ago. In a statement, the White House said the Obama administration "strongly opposes" a pair of Republican-led bills to
delay the employer mandate and individual mandate within the president's signature health care law. The administration quietly
announced July 2 in a pair of blog posts that it would delay by one year, to 2015, penalties tied to a mandate requiring firms
with the equivalent of 50 or more full-time workers to provide insurance or pay fines, citing the business community's concerns about
complex reporting requirements.
This is very reminiscent of Adolph Hitler. Obama couldn't eat at Hill
meeting without food 'taster'. Following President Obama's lunch meeting with Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill, Maine
Republican Senator Susan Collins described the food served and said the president was not able to eat since his "taster" was not present.
The Man who would be King.
It must be quite nice to be king. Or at least think of yourself as king. Dear Leader Barack Obama exhibited that behavior
while at a "working lunch" hosted by Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) last Wednesday (March 13). The food consisted of Maine
lobster salad, Fox Family Potato Chips (from Maine), wild blueberry pie, and Gifford's Ice Cream (made in Maine) for the pie.
But, Obama could not partake of any of the food because (seriously) his personal taster was not present.
Ramping Up Government Control of the
Energy Sector. If insanity consists of "doing the same thing over and over and expecting it to come out different," President Obama is
surely mad. He has spent four years funding green energy start-ups that have failed, one after another. Now he wants to spend the next
four years funding green energy firms that are again likely to fail.
Are You a Psychopath?
My cousin the psychiatrist sent me the following list for judging the degree of psychopathy in mental patients. After
reading it, you may recognize some people you know.
Bob Woodward: Obama Is Showing 'A Kind Of
Madness I Haven't Seen In A Long Time'. The Washington Post's Bob Woodward ripped into President Barack Obama on "Morning
Joe" today [2/27/2013], saying he's exhibiting a "kind of madness I haven't seen in a long time" for a decision not to deploy an aircraft
carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns. "Can you imagine Ronald Reagan sitting there and saying, 'Oh, by the way,
I can't do this because of some budget document?'" Woodward said.
The Only Mad Hatter in the Room.
One does not have to be a mass murderer, of course, to display signs of megalomania. One can simply run an economy into the ground
for four years and then claim that the private sector is "doing just fine." One of the symptoms of schizophrenia, according to NIH, is
the belief that one is "someone else, such as a famous historical figure." Delusions of grandeur are disturbing wherever they crop up,
but in Walter Mitty types, they may not be all that destructive. In important public figures, however, they can be catastrophic.
So far as I know, there is just one prominent figure in America who, in the past four years, has likened himself to Abraham Lincoln, Teddy
Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan, with a bit of Jesus Christ thrown in. If we haven't
heard that kind of talk lately, it's only because Obama has become convinced that he is so much greater than any of these figures.
Obama: Carbon 'Eating Our
Planet,' 'A Threat to Our Children's Future'. President Barack Obama warned his supporters about the threat of global
warming and vowed that more money to subsidize green energy firms would prevent it. "By the way, yes, my plan will reduce the
carbon pollution that is eating our planet because climate change is not a hoax," Obama said at a campaign rally at the Bank United
Arena at the University of Miami.
The Editor says...
I find it almost impossible to imagine how a sane person could conclude that carbon dioxide (or anything else) could be "eating the planet".
The Obama Syndrome? [Scroll down] Munchausen Syndrome by
Proxy (MSBP) is evidenced most commonly, according to the literature, among those who would be classified as "caregivers", such as nurses. The
caregiver suffering MSBP will actually harm the person in their care so that they can then "heroically" save the dependent person and be acclaimed by all as a
wonderful, truly epic hero. Occasionally the person suffering MSBP goes too far and it costs the life of the child. This is where a disorder
becomes "a danger to others", whether the person suffering MSBP is harming an infant to gain acclaim or harming an entire nation. The behavior of the
current resident of the Oval Office appears to be, in many respects, irrational and positively harmful to the United States.
Obama admits he'd like a 'weird superpower'.
President Barack Obama admitted Friday [8/17/2012] in a radio interview broadcast that he yearns for a "weird superpower" — the ability to
speak any language. But flying might be cool, too.
Is Obama paranoid? Forkless Friday at Obama event.
Does a fork or dinner knife pose an unacceptable danger to President Barack Obama? One wouldn't think so, given the hundreds of
lunches and dinners he's attended ranging from state dinners to political fundraisers to run-of-the-mill stops on the rubber-chicken
circuit. However, at one such lunch Friday afternoon, guests heard an unusual announcement that they needed to hand over their
silverware for security reasons.
President Obama Can't Be in the Same Room As Forks
Anymore? As hundreds of Latino elected officials were enjoying their lunch at Disney's Contemporary Resort earlier today
[6/22/2012], it was announced that forks would be collected before Obama took the stage. It was also mentioned that knives, too,
were entirely absent from the lunch for "a reason."
Do
We Have a Narcissistic and Psychopathic Leader in the White House? Remember the Obama praise songs that teachers taught their
students to sing in grade school? Remember those that swooned over Obama in his first campaign for the Presidency? Remember those
that fainted? Remember those that proclaimed that the Messiah had arrived? One has to ask if this over adoration is healthy.
Is this how we usually regarded our Presidents?
When Leaders Lie. How many lies does a man have to tell
before we can call him a liar? [...] What's interesting about those falsehoods (can we call them lies?) is that they were unprovoked.
We are used to presidential lies, most notably from Nixon and Clinton, but we know full well why those men were lying. In fact, in
their cases it was obvious. In Obama's, we do not. Why was he lying? Self-aggrandizement? To sell books? For
political purposes? Dreams from My Father was written before Obama supposedly had presidential ambitions. Or was there
a hint, dare I say it, of pathology?
Obama
Twice Mistakenly Mentions 'My Sons,' While Defending Contraception Mandate. In two campaign speeches over the last two days
[May 24-25, 2012], President Barack Obama has twice mistakenly mentioned "my sons" when defending his administration's regulation
requiring virtually all health-care plans in the United States to provide women, without any fees or co-pay, with sterilizations and all
Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptives, including those that can cause abortions. Obama, of course, has two
daughters — 10-year-old Sasha and 13-year-old Malia — but no sons.
The Editor says...
The way I see it, the three most likely explanations are these: (1) The words popped up on the teleprompter and he read them
reflexively, as he probably does with every speech (because he almost certainly does not write his own speeches), or (2) he is
sending some sort of coded (dog whistle) message to someone, or (3) he is completely nuts.
Is President Obama trying to fill in some missing
pieces of his biography? What kind of brain freeze or derangement leads someone to refer to my sons, when
two daughters are the only fruit of conception one has created? If George W. Bush has spoken of his sons in
public twice, can you even begin to imagine the ridicule the likes of David Letterman, Bill Maher, and Jon Steward would
heap on him? But with BHO, all one hears is the sound of crickets chirping.
Democrat wants Obama
impeached. Kesha Rogers, a Lyndon LaRouche follower and Democratic challenger to U.S. Rep. Pete
Olson, R-Sugar Land, has been campaigning on a platform that starts with impeaching President Barack Obama.
Her campaign sent out a news release Friday [10/8/2010] calling on top members of the executive branch to relieve the president
of his duties via the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, citing "numerous public displays of President Obama's
ongoing psychological meltdown."
Is Obama's Narcissism a National Security
Concern? Under normal circumstances, extreme narcissism creates difficulties in personal relationships and at work because of the
narcissist's intense and unrealistic demands for approval and acceptance. When the narcissist works out of the Oval Office, however, the
implications become ominous. [...] A nation with $16 trillion in debt is in desperate need of a government that is firmly grounded in
reality — that more borrowing and spending will not cause our deficits to recede any more than electing Obama will change the
level of the oceans.
A Psychologist Analyzes The President.
Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless. As the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama's lack of
interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per month. A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation
in Hawaii, and who raised nearly half a billion dollars for his campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in
the plight of his own brother. Why? Because, his brother cannot be used for his ascent to power. A narcissist
cares for no one but himself.
What will Obama lie about next?
[Scroll down] In fact, the case can be made that [Barack Obama] is a pathological liar who defrauded the
American people and is leading the U.S. and the free world to rack and ruin. This is a view which is
gaining currency across the political spectrum in America and around the globe. [...] He certainly lied when
he took his oath of office, which is arguably the most serious and egregious lie of all because it strikes
a dagger into the very heart of America freedom and democracy.
What's the Matter with the
Democratic Party? Narcissistic psychopaths tend to be smooth, soulless operators pursuing power, position, and
money, and deviant psychopaths tend more toward violent criminal psychopathy, with Hannibal Lecter as an extreme example. ... A
psychopath is quite capable of reflecting on how better to deceive people while being totally oblivious to why he should
not do so. More intelligent psychopaths tend to be the smooth operators, concealing their worst impulses and
worming their way into positions of power, wealth, and influence.
Obama Meets His Nemesis. Obama is one of
the most arrogant figures ever to sit in the White House. John Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Teddy Roosevelt do not have a thing on
this man. There has been considerable speculation that his condition is clinical, that he is in fact a narcissist in the
psychological sense, and there is evidence to back this contention. The public sneer, the smirk, the upthrust chin, the
repeated use of the personal pronoun at times when it is far from appropriate. The remarks like "I won" in circumstances
where they are completely uncalled for. He required no help, on taking office, in boosting his already mammoth ego to the
level of near-megalomania, but he got it anyway.
Barack Obama's Body Language.
Psychologists say more communication takes place non-verbally than verbally. Consider, for example,
Barack Obama's body language. Probably more than anyone I've ever seen, he literally looks down his
nose as he speaks. He physically lifts his chin and looks down his nose at his audience or the camera.
It's not something he does on all occasions. It's most noticeable during commencement speeches and
similar events.
President Obey-Me
Is Not Being Obeyed. Narcissists are not nice. They treat others as puppets on strings.
The rest of us get drawn in by their superficial charm, and then, after a while, we figure out that we've been
had. As soon as we walk away, the result is a towering rage by the narcissist. We all know people
like that. This is all routine psychiatric manual stuff. If you can handle a little more, President
Obama is an interesting mix of narcissism and "Oppositional Defiant Disorder."
Is Obama Insane?
A popular definition of insanity, variously attributed to Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, and Ben Franklin, is,
"doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." By this standard the President of
the United States is clearly insane, if reports are true that Obama will tonight call on Congress to pass for
yet another stimulus program, this time in the ballpark of $300 billion.
The Transformational Tyrant.
No man is born a murderer, or evil or cruel. In America, no man is born a king or a tyrant. Just as
a man must learn to be a killer, men must teach themselves to be tyrants. Barack Obama has learned how to
be a tyrant. The proclivity was always there, along with the arrogance and narcissism. When you are
better than everyone else, it is a small step to wish to reign over them as well. Yet, few expected a
University of Chicago lecturer on constitutional law to decide the Constitution did not apply to him, only
to mere mortals like us.
Do You Recognize Barack Obama in These
Texts? The narcissist perceives every disagreement — let alone criticism — coming from people whom he does not consider
to be his "peers" (e.g., the media) as nothing short of a threat. He reacts defensively. He becomes indignant, aggressive and
cold. He detaches emotionally for fear of yet another (narcissistic) injury. He devalues the person who made the disparaging remark.
By holding the critic in contempt, by diminishing the stature of the discordant conversant — the narcissist minimises the impact of the
disagreement or criticism on himself. This is a defence mechanism known as cognitive dissonance.
King Obama? [Scroll
down] He is a narcissist of the highest order. He actually believes he is a King with all the
rights and privileges appertaining thereto. And he proves it in every speech, every non-Congressionally
approved appointment of a Czar, every executive order ignoring Congress and in every bow and move that he
makes on or off Air Force One. His arrogance shown since January 2009 is simply beyond the pale; yet
not for a King. After all, arrogance is the birth right of a monarch.
Obama's
Behavior Is Getting Worse. Obama's Thursday [10/6/2011] news conference was a sober reminder of
the nature of the man in the Oval Office. I infer that even many of his supporters in the liberal media
are finally catching on to the magnitude of his personality disorders. How could a man in his important
position continue to act so childishly, accepting no responsibility for his policies and behavior and demonizing
everyone who dares to disagree with or oppose him? It's worse than embarrassing; it's unsettling.
A Shrink Asks:
What's Wrong with Obama? Obama's odd mannerisms intrigue a psychotherapist like me. He
also presents a serious diagnostic challenge. ... He doesn't fit easily into any diagnostic category.
Many people attribute Obama's oddness to his narcissism. True, Obama has a gargantuan ego, and he is
notoriously thin-skinned. Yet a personality disorder like narcissism does not explain Obama's
strangeness: his giggling while being asked about the economy; his continuing a shout-out rather than
announcing the Ft. Hood shootings; or his vacations, golfing, partying and fundraising during the calamitous
oil spill.
Obama's Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
Obama's desperate need for attention is clearly a psychological condition. He drinks in applause like a
washed-up movie star. It is usual for neglected children to develop narcissistic personality disorder (NPD),
typically characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a strong sense of entitlement, preoccupations with
utopian fantasies, elitism, manipulative tendencies and pathological need for praise. President Obama was
abandoned by his parents during childhood. Now he exhibits the textbook symptoms of NPD.
Barry Soetoro: Profiles in Chaos. It
takes a bit of narcissism to wake up in the morning and think: "Hey, I really ought to be leader of the free
world". Coming to such a conclusion in the fourth grade is, to say the least, ambitious. Having some
narcissistic traits does not a narcissist make. However, according to the Encyclopedia of Mental Disorders,
grandiosity is the most important single trait in narcissism. Could they mean something along the lines of
creating the "Office of the President Elect" and grand speeches in Germany? Obama's Messianic image of
himself? This is disturbingly common among cult leaders including David Koresh who had "messiah" printed
on his business cards.
Funk & Wagnall's Standard Dictionary of the English Language
1949 edition, page 829.
Obama's Revenge: Who writes two
memoirs about himself before the age of 45? My own speculation is that it could be no one but a
narcissist. ... A lot of people have some degree of narcissism, which is characterized by grandiosity, an
unquenchable need for admiration, unhealthy self-absorption, dependence on the affirmation of others, and
also a lack of empathy, which is hidden by both personal charm and the kind of earnest language that
pretends to "feel your pain." Or he could be a malignant narcissist, which psychiatrist Dr. Otto
Kernberg, a legendary leader in thought disorders, compares to a narcissist on steroids. This variety
involves paranoid traits (think of Obama's thin-skinned, quasi-hysterical reactions to Rush Limbaugh and
Sarah Palin), and ego-syntonic aggression, which means the person is perfectly in-sync with people who
have the courage he lacks to lash out.
The Making of a Fuehrer: [Obama] is not a
genius. In fact he is quite ignorant on most important subjects. Barack Obama is a narcissist.
Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of the Malignant Self Love, also believes, "Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist."
Vaknin is a world authority on narcissism. He understands narcissism and describes the inner mind of a
narcissist like no other person. When he talks about narcissism everyone listens. Vaknin says that
Obama's language, posture and demeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, dearest and nearest suggest that
the Senator is either a narcissist or he may have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).
Obama's Sons: They Are Real for
Him. Much has been said, [...] at American Thinker and elsewhere, about Barack Obama's recent pair of
teleprompted references to his (presumably) non-existent sons. Thomas Lifson toys with the notion that Obama might in
fact have secret sons, as a way of making sense of the seeming insanity of it. Selwyn Duke suggests it might
indicate brain damage from Obama's (presumably) past drug use. (Funny, isn't it, how often one is left no choice
but merely to presume about the Cipher-in-Chief.) David Paulin asks whether Obama might be the victim of a
teleprompting prankster/saboteur. All of these are reasonable speculations — which is, in itself, reason
to be perturbed about America's current devolved state.
Obama's Father's Day. One of President Obama's
more bizarre quirks consists of referring to his "sons" when speaking in public. Mr. Obama has done this repeatedly; saying that if
he had a son he would look like Trayvon Martin, and saying he wants his daughters to have the same economic opportunity as his sons.
Mr. Obama seems to think his family is considerably larger than it appears. Perhaps it is a deep-seated desire to have sons?
Obama's Dissociative
Disorder Ploy. There is a term in psychiatry for what Mr. Obama is attempting to pull off:
dissociative disorder. It's considered to be a coping mechanism, when the person literally dissociates
himself from a situation or experience too traumatic to integrate with his conscious self.
Opposing Obama. Gird up for
battle. The next two years will be a rocky road. Barack Obama is no Bill Clinton. He's far more
leftist. He's at least equally as ruthless (which is really saying something, because both Clintons are among
the most ruthless American politicians of our lifetimes). ... His goal isn't personal "connection" with voters; it's
long-term adulation or adoration, verging on worshipfulness — an adulation that recognizes him as a world-transformational
figure, a virtual gift to mankind.
Watch out for Petraeus in Benghazi
scandal. Mr. Obama has only a few trusted aides, and occasional leaks from the West Wing show a paranoid president suspicious of
nearly everyone around him. Supremely confident, convinced by the fawning minions at his feet that he is untouchable, the president
dismisses all controversy as partisan attacks by an overzealous opposition. A pliant press corps of stenographers follows in lockstep.
No, Mr
President, the war against al-Qaeda is far from won. There are times, such as last night's State of the Union address,
when I think President Barack Obama has taken leave of reality. How he can claim, when half the Arab world is being overrun by
Islamist militants, that al-Qaeda is now a shadow of its former self is beyond comprehension.
Obama's narcissism
Hubris. Ego. Audacity. Arrogance. Stunning self-regard. These are
some of the traits observed in President Obama before the 2008 election. For almost a year,
I have been passing along warnings
and ominous observations from many other columnists about Obama's ego problem. With so much at stake,
many others are starting to pay attention to Obama's massive character flaws. Ask the people of Germany
what it's like to be ruled by a man who is intoxicated with pride.
Obama's
Fourth Term. When Donald J. Trump was elected the 45th president of the United
States, two individuals, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, were subject to massive electoral
humiliation. While Hillary still hasn't recovered, the haughtiest of the two, Barack Obama,
is the one who took the election rejection the hardest. In true narcissistic fashion, the
repudiation Obama received for eight years of devastating policies, has made the former community
organizer a bigger threat to the U.S. now than during his eight years in office. Vendettas,
vindication, and visceral hate for the nation he failed to fully destroy have made plain his
fingerprints all over Joe Biden's presidency. Diligently scheming during the four years Trump
was in office, coupled with four years strategically steering Bumbling Biden, Obama is the primary
player ushering in the current "fundamental" catastrophe he believes the unfaithful deserve.
Barack
Obama the Vindictive Enforcer. The definition of "vindictive" is to have or show a
"strong or unreasoning desire for revenge." As an observer of the ongoing humiliation and
persecution currently directed toward Donald J. Trump and anyone who supports him, what America may
now be witnessing is an unparalleled display of malicious revenge. One might ask, "Who is
driving this retribution?" The most obvious answer to that question is that it must be a
self-absorbed force with a notorious reputation for spiteful exoneration. Judging from past
conduct, that force would be none other than former president Barack Obama. This man thrives
on adulation. Even the casual observer is aware of Obama's inability to accept
criticism. Refuse to genuflect, and Mr. Obama's ire is immediately directed like a laser
toward the defiant. Just ask "tea baggers" or victims of a weaponized IRS. Judging from
Obama's self-identification with his ideology, retribution isn't just politics; it's personal.
Defy him, and the former president looks for any forum, weapon, policy implementation, or cruel
injustice to vindicate his vendetta and somehow manages to accomplish this either publicly or privately.
Democrats
Are Horrible People. Let's start with Barack Obama. The former President likes
to think of himself as a statesman but beware. Democrats always declare something they like
as the opposite of what it really is. As an aside, a good rule of thumb in life is the louder
someone declares themselves to be something, the less likely it is they actually are that
thing. Intelligent people don't need to tell everyone they're smart; funny people don't tell
everyone how funny they are, honest, loyal, hard-working, etc. If you are something, we'll
pick up on it. Obama loves himself to the degree that no one can compete. He also leads
a life where no one tells him no, at least no one who can make it stick. That, coupled with
his general arrogance, empowered him to call South Carolina Senator Tim Scott an "Uncle Tom."
He didn't do it directly — a skillful bigot has a thesaurus full of ways to convey their
hatred with a wink and a nod, and that's exactly what Barack did.
Barack
Obama and the Fear of Modern Philosopher Kings. Back in 2006, Hillary Clinton published a book about caring for
children titled, "It Takes a Village." The book made the phrase a permanent part of the American lexicon, but the concept
itself should not have been treated as something new by readers. It dates over 2,000 years to the writings of Plato and
his seminal work "Republic." The Greek philosopher, student of Socrates and teacher to Aristotle, is so highly regarded
as the founder of Western philosophy that it is often said that all who have come after him have been "answering Plato."
He covered many topics in his works, the most commonly referenced still today being his model developed in the Republic
for an ideal society. In it, he argued for the sort of communal setting Hillary's book title implies. He also argued
for the community to be overseen by a very wise man, or group of men, creating the concept of a "philosopher king." Which
brings us to Barack Hussein Obama, the man who is absolutely certain that he is the man about whom Plato wrote. Remember
his famous 2008 line, "We are the ones we've been waiting for"? Waiting for how long? Since the Academy was
established, I would guess is what he meant.
Obama makes every event about himself, if he can. Obama
Shares Last Letter He Sent to Harry Reid. Former President Barack Obama mourned the death of Harry Reid by
releasing a letter he wrote to the former Nevada senator in his last days. News of Reid's death broke on Tuesday night
after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. Reid was widely regarded as one of the most influential politicians
among the Democrats, due to his senate career spanning 3 decades, plus the role he played in passing major pieces of
legislation during the Obama years, including the Affordable Care Act.
God and
Ego: Trump vs. Obama. While running for the U.S. Senate from Illinois in 2004, Obama was
interviewed by Chicago Sun-Times religion reporter Cathleen Falsani, and what he revealed was striking, indeed.
Obama spouted boilerplate leftist philoso-babble for much of the interview. One interesting point, however, was when
Falsani asked him, "What is sin?" Obama's answer? "Being out of alignment with my values," he said. Now, this
is a bit like asking Dr. Anthony Fauci "What is pseudo-science?" and his answering, "Being out of alignment with my
pronouncements" (which would be in character). But, of course, Obama's is not the definition of sin. Sin is that which
violates God's laws, or, to put it in more modernistic terms, that which is out of alignment with God's "values" (which are
the Truth). And one could conclude that a person defining sin as being out of alignment with his values believes
he is God.
Obama
Begins Climate Change Speech By Talking About Himself For A Full 90 Seconds. When Obama was President, he
couldn't go more than a few minutes without gushing about himself. Turns out, some things never change. During a
fear-mongering speech about how the world will end shortly because of climate change, Obama couldn't help but talk about
himself and his current lifestyle since leaving the Oval Office. "Traffic is a thing again. Music doesn't play
when I walk into the room. On the positive side, I can give a speech like this without wearing a tie and not create a
scandal back home," said the failed 44th President.
Obama
told Trump 'I can't think of anything' when asked what his 'biggest mistake' was, book claims.
Then-President-elect Donald Trump is said to have asked outgoing President Barack Obama in 2017 what he thought his biggest
mistake was as they traveled from the White House to the Capitol building, according to a new book. [...] "What was your
biggest mistake?" asked the president-elect to his predecessor. Obama is then said to have paused and looked back at
Trump. "I can't think of anything," he is reported to have responded.
Obama
to host hundreds at 60th birthday party amid COVID concerns. Former President Barack Obama will host hundreds
of guests at his 60th birthday party this coming weekend on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts amid concerns about spreading
the delta variant of COVID-19, according to a source familiar with the plans. A COVID coordinator will ensure all
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, state and local guidelines are followed at the party, the source said about the
affair, which will be held outdoors. [...] Martha's Vineyard, an island in Dukes County, Massachusetts, is currently
considered at a "moderate" level of transmission risk, according to CDC data.
Obama's Delusional
Revisionist History. On Tuesday, former President Barack Obama appeared on the Ezra Klein Show to
discuss his latest book about his favorite topic — himself. For 60 minutes, Obama rewrote history about his
presidency and spewed one false, vile, and nonsensical statement after another in front of a subservient "reporter" who
gushed in response to everything his narcissistic guest said. Obama used the interview, recorded in his Washington,
D.C., office, to take credit for former President Trump's economy. He referred to his years in the White House as
"competent," full of "integrity," and scandal free. Obama also took the opportunity to label rural Americans as
"resentful," unpersuadable, and uneducated bigots who cling to fear porn from right-wing news outlets: "If I went into
those same places now ... almost all news is from either Fox News, Sinclair news stations, talk radio, or some Facebook
page. And trying to penetrate that is really difficult."
Obama
Talks and Talks and Talks About His Memoir and His Greatness. Former President Barack Obama continues to be the
very embodiment of the Democratic leadership and project his own failings and political venom on President Donald Trump and
his supporters. He demonstrated as much in a recent "60 Minutes" interview that focussed on his latest memoir, and was
laced with bitterness for the Trump phenomenon. He is as adamant as ever to insist Americans reside with him in
"Barack's World," a sort of alternate universe where Obama's version of the truth is the only one that really matters.
Sure, there might be competing versions of that reality, but can you really trust them when you know the source is some
contemptible deplorable who really never accepted his presidency?
Barack
Obama bashes America (again). As if he needs more money, former President Barack Obama is out hawking a new
book — a 768-page memoir that is just Volume One of his latest memoirs (he wrote his first autobiography at age 34).
But Mr. Obama's latest book is raising eyebrows because he is (once again) bashing America. "I'm not yet ready to abandon the
possibility of America," Mr. Obama says in "A Promised Land," which hit shelves on Tuesday. He adds that he wrote the book "for
young people — as an invitation to bring about, through hard work, determination, and a big dose of imagination, an America that
finally aligns with all that is best in us." Mr. Obama also said he was waiting "to see if we can actually live up to the
meaning of our creed. The jury's still out."
Mark
Levin thumps Obama for '3rd autobiography': 'You would think he was Winston Churchill'. Conservative radio and
television host Mark Levin slammed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for "undermining" the U.S. Constitution by
claiming an election victory. The Fox News host called out the former vice president for sounding "like a dictator" as
he defended President Donald Trump and the integrity of America's voting system. In a scathing monologue on "Life,
Liberty and Levin" Sunday [11/15/2020], he also took a shot at former President Obama for making "pronouncements" about the
election results while blasting the media for not covering the truth. Levin began his monologue telling Obama and
others, "don't you damn lecture us," before setting off on a fiery takedown of the efforts to undermine Trump and over
72 million Americans who voted for him.
The Editor says...
It's only an autobiography if you write it yourself.
The
Obama Years Sowed the Seeds for the Current Societal Chaos. Barack Obama and his henchmen deliberately fanned
the flames of race and identity politics to further divide the populace and foment riots that would dramatically enhance the
power of the central government. Obama never missed an opportunity to pour gasoline on the flames of violence and
racial animosity, whether it was justifying voter intimidation by the Black Panthers in Philadelphia, the Trayvon Martin
incident in Florida, the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson, Missouri or the Freddie Gray episode in Baltimore, among
others. Thus, Obama gave his tacit imprimatur to the formation of the Marxist Black Lives Matter Organization and
wordlessly sanctioned violence and looting in any racially charged incident in the future. Therefore, every action,
policy and pronouncement made during the eight years of the Obama Administration must be viewed through the prism of
Marxist/socialist megalomania and self-aggrandizement.
Obama
Uses Elijah Cummings Funeral To Talk About Himself — Again. One thing Barack Obama loves — really
loves — is... himself. Over the years, the former president has used all kinds of events to talk about himself.
Often, they're the most inappropriate venues at which to deliver an egocentric speech. Like Elijah Cummings' funeral. [...] Obama
used a eulogy for the late Democratic lawmaker on Friday [10/25/2019] to talk about himself. In a 15-minute speech, "Obama
referenced himself 30 times, averaging twice per minute.
Why Obama dropped Biden. [Scroll down] Obama
won't be there for Biden. His internal friendship has ended and didn't make it through the next presidential term. Instead of
helping his trusted friend run for the presidency, Obama has refused to endorse Biden. According to some reports, Obama repeatedly
urged Biden not to run. "You don't have to do this," he warned Biden. Obama, it turns out, cares about one thing: himself.
He is obsessed with his political legacy. Every day that Joe Biden stays on the campaign trail, he detracts from that.
Obama
shatters previous record, mentions himself 467 times in one speech in Berlin. [W]hat's a comparatively young
(age 57) man with decades of life ahead to do to compensate? Self-reflection and personal growth are out of the
question, of course (this is Barack Obama, after all, the man who claimed to better at everything than his aides charged with
speech-writing, economic policy and much more), so it appears that defensive ego boosting is his chosen course. As it
happens, the venue for his speech was Berlin, where in 2008 he addressed the largest crowd of his career. I don't know
the size of his audience yesterday in Berlin, but it had to be a tiny fraction of the 100,000+ he faced back when things
were going his way.
Obama:
Hope Possible by Training a 'Million Baracks and Michelles'. Former President Barack Obama said Monday [3/4/2019] that
hope is possible for the future if the next generation of leaders is modeled after himself and former first lady Michelle Obama.
Speaking at the Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Canada, Obama detailed plans for creating a "university for social change" aimed at
developing the skills of young people from around the world who harbor cynicism towards "old institutions."
2018
Midterms: All About Obama. Former President Selfie Stick is back in action, firing up Democrats before
the midterms with his signature rallying cries: I, I, I, I! Me, me, me! My, my, my! According to a tally by
The American Mirror's Kyle Olson, Barack Obama's campaign speech Monday for Nevada Senate Democratic candidate Jacky Rosen
referred to himself 92 times in 38 minutes — or an average self-allusion every 24.7 seconds.
When he wasn't "I"-ing, the former narcissist-in-chief was lying. "Unlike some, I actually try to state facts," Obama
snarked passive-aggressively in a swipe at President Donald Trump. "I don't believe in just making stuff up. I
think you should actually say to people what's true."
Obama
Says Politicians Lying Is Something 'We Have Not Seen Before.'. Obama spun news, evaded questions, contradicted
himself and made false statements a number of times while he was in office. In 2011, Obama claimed he "signed into law
the biggest middle-class tax cut in history," referring to the Making Work Pay provision in his stimulus package.
Obama's calculation for his claim was based on "dubious math," according to The Washington Post. Former-presidents John F.
Kennedy and George W. Bush signed larger tax cuts into law. When campaigning for the Affordable Care Act, Obama claimed,
"If you like your health-care plan, you can keep it." After his bill passed, cancellation notices hit at least
two million Americans' mailboxes because of a short cutoff to bring existing plans in compliance with the new law, The
Washington Post reported.
Obama allegedly campaigns
for Democrats, but.... Probably my favorite Barack Obama campaign story involves an outdoor speech on a
sweltering 2012 day in Roanoke, Virginia. As he went on and on, members of the adoring crowd began fainting from the
heat. The president's revealing response was not to cut his remarks short and let everyone seek a cold drink and air
conditioning. No, the president of the United States began issuing advice to crowd members on how to avoid fainting so
he could finish his remarks. Don't lock your knees, he said. Don't stand on just one leg. Drink water.
And he assured everyone that paramedics were on the way. Then, Obama resumed his speech and continued to the very end.
'I
Got A Lot To Say': Obama refers to himself 92 times during 38-minute NV speech. Barack Obama was supposed to
talk about Nevada Senate candidate Jacky Rosen in Las Vegas on Monday [10/22/2018]. Appearing under the guise of speaking
on behalf of Democrat candidates at a University of Nevada rally, the former president really just wanted to talk about
himself. [Video clip]
When
You Hear What Obama Just Said About Healthcare You Will Know Irony Is Officially Dead. President Obama gave a
scathing critique of the modern Democratic Party during a fundraiser at the Beverly Hills home of a mega-donor Thursday
[6/28/2018]. The former president was reluctant, however, to take any of the blame for the current state of the
Democratic Party. Obama admitted that the only regret he has after being head of the party for eight years was that
people loved and focused on him too much.
Obama —
Just Too Good for Us. As president, Obama always found us wanting. We were constantly disappointing
him. He would tell us the right thing to do and then sigh and purse his lips when his instructions were not followed.
[...] He's saying that, sadly, we were not enlightened enough for the momentous changes wrought by the smartest people in the
world — or even evolved enough for the first African-American president. "Sometimes I wonder whether I was
10 or 20 years too early," Obama mused to aides.
Someone
who fits the perfect definition of narcissist. If anyone wants to see the definition of a narcissist, one need only look at the
following quote from President Obama: "If I could do that effectively, then — you know — I would create a hundred or
a thousand or a million young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas," Obama said. "Or, the next group of people who could take that baton
in that relay race that is human progress." Note that he did not say create one million Martin Luther Kings or Mother Teresas, nope,
he believes he and Michelle are much better than them.
Obama
envisions creating 'a million young, Barack Obamas' during speech in Japan. Former President Barack Obama
talked about his future plans for his post-presidency life at a conference Sunday [3/25/2018] in Japan, addressing how he
might shape "a million" new, young leaders in his mold. The wide-ranging discussion repeatedly touched on the Obama
Foundation's efforts to engage the digital space to help young people in the U.S. and across the world get connected.
"If I could do that effectively, then — you know — I would create a hundred or a thousand or a million
young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas," Obama said.
Obama
Commemorates Another Death With Photo Of Himself. Former President Barack Obama commemorated recently deceased
scientist Stephen Hawking's death with a photo of himself, repeating a well worn pattern of his presidency.
The
Media's Free Pass for Bitter Democrats. Even before President Trump gave his first State of the Union, the left
was complaining that he was going to look "presidential." It still can't accept that he is president and gets to give
presidential speeches. But Trump took that opportunity and fully exploited it. The Trump speech was beautiful, at
some points even poetic, and delivered well (for him). Maybe it was in the pronouns. Former President Clinton could
never stop talking about himself. Former President Obama was worse, once using the first person singular 199 times in a
2014 speech in Austin, Texas.
The
Malignant Narcissist In The White House. [Ryan] Lizza's fortuitous observation combined with the nation's
tortured experience of Obama's presidential campaign and his seemingly-endless eight years at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in
Washington, DC surely is enough to validate talk-radio host Tammy Bruce's considered dismissal of Obama as a "malignant narcissist."
Former
British PM David Cameron Thought Barack Obama was one of the 'most narcissistic and self-absorbed people he'd ever met'.
David Cameron thought Barack Obama was one of the 'most narcissistic, self-absorbed people' he had ever dealt with, his former strategy
guru has claimed. While in office the two leaders had a cosy bromance and were pictured high-fiving and playing rounds of golf
and ping pong together. But Steve Hilton tore into Mr Obama for thinking he was 'smarter' than everyone else in the
room. And he claimed that his old boss Mr Cameron would get wound up by the ex President's self absorption.
Trump
isn't mentally disturbed, and Obama isn't Moses. Much of the media is extremely excited by the news that more
than a dozen lawmakers (including one Republican) were recently briefed by a Yale psychiatrist on President Trump's mental
health. [...] Also, while we're on the topic of mental illness. Does anyone remember a certain former president
presenting himself as a Moses-esque demigod? [Video clip]
18 minute
speech, Barack Obama refers to himself 96 times. The neo-liberal messiah, and former US President, Barack Obama
gave a speech to globalist billionaires attending the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation "Goalkeepers" conference. During
his speech the former POTUS referred to himself 96 times.
Obama:
a Hollow Man Filled With Ruling Class Ideas. What on Earth motivated the Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and
law professor David J. Garrow to write an incredibly detailed 1078-page (1460 pages with endnotes and index included)
biography of Barack Obama from conception through election to the White House? Not any great personal affinity for
Obama on Garrow's part, that's for sure. Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama is no hagiography. On
the last page of this remarkable tome, Garrow describes Obama at the end of his distinctly non-transformative and "failed
presidency" as a man who had long ago had become a "vessel [that] was hollow at its core." Near the conclusion, Garrow
notes how disappointed and betrayed many of Obama's former friends felt by a president who "doesn't feel indebted to people"
(in the words of a former close assistant) and who spent inordinate time on the golf course and "celebrity hobnobbing"
(1067). Garrow quotes one of Obama's "long-time Hyde Park [Chicago] friend[s]," who offered a stark judgement: "Barack
is a tragic figure: so much potential, such critical times, but such a failure to perform... like he is an empty shell...
Maybe the flaw is hubris, deep and abiding hubris..." (1065). Garrow quotes the onetime and short-lived Obama backer
Dr. Cornel West on how Obama "posed as a progressive and turned out to be a counterfeit. We ended up with a
Wall Street presidency, a national security presidency... a brown-faced Clinton: another opportunist."
The Obama Cult.
Anyone interested in the cultic status of Barack Obama will find much on the website
noted above, as it catalogs images and statements regarding the One that leave no doubt about what is promoted on his behalf —
i.e., his Messianic character and the notion that he in some mysterious way stands apart from normal humanity. Of special interest
is the assertion by Michelle Obama that Barack "has brought us out of the dark and into the light," invoking imagery of the dynamics of
Creation and raising suggestions of the beginning verses of John's Gospel. Indeed, Barack Obama himself indicated his own belief
in the mythos surrounding him when he stated that the day of his nomination constituted "the moment when the rise of the oceans began
to slow and our planet began to heal." There, in that statement, you have self-asserted cosmic significance.
Obama
Crashes Josh Earnest's Final White House Press Briefing. During his final daily press briefing as White House
Press Secretary, Josh Earnest was given a bit of a surprise. After Earnest recounted some of his most memorable moments
speaking to the press over the years, President Barack Obama showed up to give Earnest a personal send-off. "I am not
interrupting because he was saying nice things about you guys," Obama said, addressing the press. "Because I largely
concur." POTUS then went on to praise Earnest for the job he's done as press sec.
Obama
Refers To Himself 75 Times In Farewell Address. President Obama referred to himself 75 times in his farewell
address Tuesday night [1/10/2017], according to a review of his prepared remarks by The Daily Caller. Obama heavily promoted
the speech, penning a blog post about it and appearing in a promotional video in the days leading up to the address.
Obama
is sabotaging Russian-American rapprochement. Obama loves power, and the only thing better than a lot of power is more
power. That is his reason for being, and the end of his term has seen him getting more and more irritable and depressed.
That's how he is. Now he has found the solution. The Obama of the future is going to be President-for-Life, maybe by running
Michelle (Bill Clinton did it that way), or some other stooge, or maybe he will finagle a way to become President of the World by getting
nominated to be Sec Gen of the UN. Which is why he is publicly shafting Israel today, knowing that this moment will be
celebrated by all the Muslim throwbacks in the world.
'Obama
Sees Himself As God' — Russia Sanctions ... Krauthammered. Charles Krauthammer harshly criticized
President Barack Obama during a panel discussion on Fox News Thursday evening [12/29/2016]. The conservative pundit called
Obama's new executive order raising sanctions against Russia for its government's alleged role in influencing the 2016 election
"anti-democratic" before chastising POTUS for seeking to "lock in" Trump to a fractured Oval Office. [Video clip]
What
if Obama dropped Hillary's email bombs? Obama is a major narcissist who always wants to expand his personal power.
Being president has not satisfied his power-hungry ego; nothing ever will. For months he has been talking about running for a third
term, and he's back at it today.
Hope
and humility. [Scroll down] Humility is the polar opposite of what Michelle Obama displayed to Oprah and
what the president has mirrored during his eight years in office. Throughout his presidency, you might have thought the
pronoun "I" was his first initial for all the times he referred to himself.
The
self-referential presidency of Barack Obama. Barack Obama's speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention
in Boston was an astonishing piece of oratory. It was also a bit of sleight of hand. Then a U.S. Senate candidate
from Illinois, Obama wove his personal ancestry and biography — black and white, Kenya and Kansas, Hawaii and
Harvard — into the American story of opportunity, multiplicity and solidarity. Not red vs. blue, but
united. Out of many, one. David Axelrod calls the address a love letter to America. "In no other country on
Earth is my story even possible," Obama declared, his most poignant line of the night. Two words in that sentence would
matter most. Throughout Obama's time in the White House, his touchstone would not be that singular country on Earth,
whose politics he was never able to bind together. Rather, it would be the man himself. My story.
This was a presidency preoccupied with Obama's exceptionalism as much as with America's.
Obama's
Never-Ending Lecture Tour. President Obama, who has done less for Europe than any American President since
Calvin Coolidge, cannot stop telling Europeans what to do. As Obama sets out on his final European tour as President,
with his political party back home in a state of near collapse, and with Putin inflicting yet another painful humiliation on
the least successful American President in the history of the modern Middle East, nothing seems able to shake his serene
confidence that he knows more than other people, sees farther than they do, and that other people are eager to gather up
his pearls of insight.
Campaigning
for Hillary yesterday, Obama mentions himself 207 times. Remember that Donald Trump is supposedly a narcissist
as you consider the following. The President of the United States took time off from his awesome responsibilities
yesterday to fly to two cities in Florida, Miami and Jacksonville, and gave speeches totaling 84 minutes.
Obama talks
about himself 207 times in 84 minutes — while campaigning for Hillary. Even while campaigning for
somebody else, Barack Obama can't help but talk about himself. During two appearances for Hillary Clinton on Thursday,
the president referred to himself a total of 207 times — 110 in Miami and 97 in Jacksonville, Florida. "Now,
I have to say that I've been going to some college campuses and I realize that eight years ago some of you were ten," Obama
said during roughly 43-minute speech at Florida International University. He then went on to defend his own record on the
economy, energy and Obamacare. [...] During the Miami speech, he mentioned himself 30 times before talking about Hillary Clinton.
Why
Obama Won't Listen to Reason on Obamacare. One of President Obama's cherished conceits is that disagreement
with him can have no rational basis, and it was the theme of his most recent speech in defense of his health-care law.
Only "ideology" and "politics" are keeping Republicans from working with him to expand Obamacare's reach. He himself
is, as always in his self-portraits, the picture of reasonableness, willing to accept Republicans' ideas if only they would
operate in good faith instead of holding "60-something repeal votes."
Barack
Obama Spent BILLIONS Of Taxpayer Dollars Trying To Convince You He's Smart. It has been eight years of the most
ego-driven presidency in the history of the Republic. And if the devil is to be found in the details, those details
have now revealed the extent of Barack Obama's yearning to convince others of his own magnificence — an endeavor
he spent a half-BILLION dollars per year of taxpayer dollars on.
Obama
Rushes To Make Israeli Leader Shimon Peres' Funeral About Himself. Ever one to steal the spotlight, President
Barack Obama upstaged iconic Israeli leader Shimon Peres at this own funeral Friday [9/30/2016]. "I could somehow see
myself in his story, and he could see himself in mine," said Obama, speaking on behalf of the deceased leader, who not only
helped found the state of Israel, but also served stints as both president and prime minister.
Six
Times Obama Commemorated Deaths With A Picture Of Himself. Legendary golfer Arnold Palmer died on Sept. 25, and
President Barack Obama immediately rushed to social to remember Palmer ... with pictures of himself. President Barack
Obama has a habit of commemorating deaths of important figures and Americans by posting a picture of himself on Twitter.
Here are six examples of the president doing just that.
Obama
urges African-American voters to protect his legacy. President Barack Obama said Saturday night [9/17/2016] he
will take it as a "personal insult" if the African-American community fails to turn out for the presidential election and
encouraged black voters to support Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
Obama talks
about himself 137 times during speech for Hillary. Barack Obama was out stumping for the ailing Hillary Clinton
today, but that didn't stop him from talking about himself. A lot. The president rallied with Clinton supporters
in Philadelphia and when doing so, managed to mention himself 137 times.
'Hillary's refusal to mention
radical Islam proof she is unfit'. Republican nominee for President Donald Trump did not wait long to retaliate
against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, in what is the opening salvo in a war of words and insults that is sure to
accompany the campaign leading to the US Presidential election in November. Clinton spoke Thursday night [7/28/2016] at the
Democratic National Convention, and attacked what she portrayed as Trump's divisiveness, saying that the Republican nominee "wants us
to fear each other."
Watch
Arrogant, Self-Absorbed Obama Use "I" 119 Times during Dem Convention Speech. We have endured 7½ years of this
pathetic, arrogant, self-absorbed narcissist. He has than six months left as President. Even Hillary Clinton would be a huge
upgrade! Whether Trump or Hillary wins, it will be a great blessing to not have to listen to Obama very much anymore. [Video clip]
How
Many Times Did Obama Refer To Himself In Speech About Hillary? President Obama went all in for Hillary Clinton
Wednesday, throwing down his presidential legacy and all his political and racial credentials to try to convince the disenfranchised,
bitter "Berners" and rightly unenthused black voters to elect the most establishment and corrupt politician ever to run for the highest
office. But as we've come to expect, in an Obama speech about, well, anything, it ended up being a whole lot more about
himself than the subject at hand. And, frankly, with Clinton as the subject, it was probably a good move. In a mesmerizing
video, Grabien highlights all the times Obama referenced himself in his speech at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday.
The total tally: a stunning 119 times.
Obama
Mentions Himself 45 Times During Memorial Speech For Dallas Officers. President Obama referred to himself 45 times over the
course of the speech he delivered Tuesday at the memorial service for the five police officers killed in Dallas last week. Obama referred to
himself twice before finishing his opening salutations and before mentioning the slain officers or their families. After noting the presence
of President Bush, members of Congress and Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings, Obama appeared to go off-script.
A Leader Without a Moral Compass.
It is Obama's narcissism that proposes a world without nuclear weapons. What dictatorship could be trusted to keep such
a promise? A world without nuclear weapons is like an America without guns. In the latter, only criminals will
have guns; in the former, only aggressive dictatorships will possess nuclear weapons — in secret. The
mindless left, which thinks solving the world's problems is like the staging of a college seminar, is cheering Obama
on. But those who suffered at the hands of the Japanese have had the salt of his hubris rubbed into their wounds and
their traumas resurrected. How will America serve in the future as a force for peace anywhere in the world? Who
in the Middle East will view this with anything but disgust and apprehension? A nation that desecrates its own history
and makes a mockery of the sacrifices of its heroes is a nation not to be trusted.
Obama's Narcissism [is]
a Threat To National Security. We mention President Obama's narcissism not as an exercise in name-calling but
because it continues to be relevant to how he conducts himself in office, and it's not pretty. [...] If anything remotely
positive happens on his watch, he presumes to take full credit for it — way more than the normal opportunistic politician.
With the killing of Osama bin Laden, for example, Obama boasts as if the raid were his initial idea and he delivered the kill
shot. Most people in his position would play down their role in such an event and give credit to our special forces personnel
who made it happen. But when things are going poorly, Obama either candy-coats the reality or pretends he's an outsider
powerless to do anything but complain about it. No president has ever been so committed to eschewing accountability.
Obama
Boasts In Britain: I Saved The World Economy As President. President Barack Obama boasted of his legacy
during a town hall in Britain, asserting that he single-handedly saved the world during his presidency. "Saving the
world economy from a Great Depression — that was pretty good," Obama bragged when asked by a student in London
what he wanted his legacy to be.
Obama holds his
own... Umbrella. In previous such outings in rain or storm with President Obama, his Secret Service detail were shamefully
abused by being forced to hold umbrellas over the heads of Obama and whomever else he thought warranted the cover. To outside
observers, this may not seem a big deal, but to cognoscenti, the use of Secret Service agents for any purpose other than alert
protection is unlawful. The president was informed of this misuse of his protection services by the Service. In this
newest photo, as he makes what he hopes will be a legacy-cementing jaunt to the miserable Communist country at our foot, he holds
his own umbrella. Note that he is holding it over himself. The foreign dignitary he is shaking hands with does not have
a cover, nor does anyone hold one over his head.
President Obama
Is a Political Narcissist. I used to think President Obama's illusions were simply the product of his ideology,
of his faith in the universality of human reason, in the idea of historical progress, of his ambivalence toward American
power. But after reading Jeffrey Goldberg's epic, absorbing, revealing interview with the president in The Atlantic,
I have come to a different conclusion. It's not just ideology that drives Obama's cluelessness. It's narcissism.
Narcissist
in-Chief Looking for Cameras Everywhere These Days. Throughout most of President Obama's presidential tenure,
he's found ways to insert himself into almost every major news story. From Neil Armstrong's death to Super Bowl Sunday,
acknowledgement isn't enough for this president, he has to make himself part of the story. [...] Bearing in mind that
the man is afflicted with overwhelming malignant narcissism, it isn't at all surprising that he's feeling a little put out
these days.
Gates:
Obama Has 'Centralized Power' More than Any Other President. [Quoting former Defense Secretary Robert Gates: "]You know,
the president is quoted as having said at one point to his staff 'I can do every one of your jobs better than you can.' And I think that he has
centralized power and operational activities of the government in the White House to a degree that is unparalleled.["]
Beginning
the autopsy on Obama administration decision-making disasters. As someone who studied and taught group decision-making at Harvard
Business School (as well as a non-idiot with a few scraps of common sense), I can attest that this is the worst possible way to go about reaching
collective decisions. The entire idea of such an approach is to bring together diverse information, experiences, and perspectives; weigh them; and
reach a conclusion reflecting more considerations than one person could bring to the table. So how did Obama come to such a level of arrogance?
Obama
Could Become President of the Whole World. Word has it is that Obama wants to be Secretary-General of the
United Nations. Ban Ki-Moon's term concludes at the end of 2016 and it just so happens that Obama is available.
(It would be interesting if Obama resigned on New Year's Day 2017 and let Joe Biden become President for the final 20 days of his
term.) For a citizen of the globe like Obama being President of the United States is an office too small for his lifestyle,
ambitions, and ideology. Should Obama become UN Secretary-General, he could become President of the Whole World.
Report:
Obama Wants to Become UN Secretary General, Netanyahu Doing Everything He Can to Stop Him. It seems President
Obama has no intention of stepping out of the White House and fading from the limelight. No, he's got his sights set on the
world stage — this time as secretary general of the United Nations, according to Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida. But not
all world leaders are keen to see this come to fruition, including first and foremost, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Obama
Referred To Himself 76 Times During Gun Speech. It's all about Obama all the time. So it's no surprise that President
Obama referred to himself 76 times in his 33 minute speech on gun control. [Video clip]
The
American Left and the Death of Political Discourse. For the past 100 years the primary trait of the leaders of
the socialist/Marxist movements throughout the world has not been an unabashed belief in ideology, but an overweening narcissism.
This ideology has been the perfect vehicle to subjugate the masses and control the levers of power. Thus it has been a complement
to the addled thought process of these despots, who have believed that their superiority to the unwashed masses was unquestioned and
their ability to govern was beyond dispute. The current leadership of the American Left, as personified by Barack Obama, are also
motivated by this same narcissism and power lust.
Obama:
Working Class Still Clinging to Guns and Religion. [Scroll down] Look at the transcript on NPR's website.
Even [Steve] Inskeep seemed flabbergasted by Obama's display of egomaniacal indifference to people's suffering after trying
several times to get him to answer his question. Obama can't answer it honestly because to do so would be to admit that
his own policies have been a monumental failure. After promises of "green shoots" and "turning the corner" and a "summer
of jobs," after the massive "stimulus," Dodd-Frank, a government takeover of health care and industry-killing environmental rules,
Obama hasn't relieved working-class anxiety. He's added to it by producing the worst economic recovery in modern history.
Obamas
Destruction of America. Obama does not believe in any religion. Obama only believes in himself. He feels that
the way that he looks at the world is correct and all those who disagree are met with a vehemence unseen in a president
before. The 2012 Soul Train awards are telling that when Jamie Foxx stated that we should give honor to God, and our Lord and
Savior Barack Obama. Meant to be funny, it appeared that Obama believed it.
Obama
[is] obsessed with his graying hair. President Obama may be going through a minor mid-life crisis, as he's made
numerous references to his graying hair over the last few weeks, even at major events with world leaders at the White House.
Obama Hints that Steven Spielberg
Should Make a Movie About Him. While awarding the medal of freedom to director Steven Spielberg and other celebrities, President
Obama jokingly suggested that the director of movies like "A.I. Artificial Intelligence" and "Lincoln" should make one about his presidency.
Obama
Calls Senate Environment Chairman 'Cray' for Doubting Climate Change. On the fundraising trail last night for
the Democratic National Committee, President Obama insisted to a celebrity-studded crowd in New York that his presidency "has
never been about me." "As I enter into my last year in office, some supporters started getting nostalgic, and so we'll
take pictures and they'll say, oh, Barack, I wish you could run another term," he said. "And I explain — no, first
of all, not everybody says that. But I explain, A, it's unconstitutional. George Washington set a good example.
B, Michelle would not permit it, even if it were constitutional. And, C, this has never been about me."
The Editor says...
Notice that Mr. Obama tells this long story about himself and then says it's not about him.
America Under
Barack Obama. [Scroll down slowly] I try to avoid hyperbole, but I think Obama is
possibly the most dangerous and destructive president we have ever had. ... So in answer to your question,
I am beginning to think that this guy is a phony. Obama seems to have no firm principles that I can
discern that he will adhere to. His only principle is his own aggrandizement. This is a very
dangerous mindset for a president to have.
Obama going off the deep end. Obama sees
himself as the greatest man to be president in all time. He truly believes it when he said "we are the ones
we have been waiting for," and "this is the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and the planet began
to heal." He believes that he can do anything he pleases and the people will love him for it. Obama
plans to radically transform this country and go down in history as, in his mind, the greatest ever. Obama
is clearly disconnected from reality.
Strikingly
Unpresidential. President Barack Obama doesn't deserve the reputation he's had for his style
and temperament and for being gracious, civil, bipartisan and post-racial. He is often ungracious,
uncivil, hyper-partisan, race-oriented and vindictive. He mocks and ridicules almost for sport.
More than any president in my memory, he often does not comport himself presidentially.
Liberalomania:
Don't Drink the Water in D.C. Like a cry for help, President Obama consistently shows signs
of liberalomania. The first sign is his limitless use of the blame game. Most of the problems
ailing Americans today are still blamed on the Bush administration. ... Secondly, Obama shows obvious
signs of narcissism and appears to experience delusions of grandeur. Although sufferers of both
liberalism and liberalomania are often ideologues of a utopian society, the nature of Obama's vision
is especially telling. He projects himself as the one to bring about this utopia, and casts
himself as the supreme president of the world.
The President Who
Won't Grow Up. Everything I need to know about Barack Obama I learned as a Cub Scout den
leader. ... In Barack Obama, I believe we are seeing the return of the little boy as president. As a
former Cub Scout den leader, I spent a lot of time around boys. It struck me that the president exhibits
classic little boy behavior.
President Barack Obama: Professional Hothouse
Flower. As regards defining personality traits, Barack Obama's chief attribute will undoubtedly go
down as pathological narcissism. ... Before assuming the US presidency, Obama was protected like the elusive
unicorn; or a fragrant holy cow; or King Arthur's magic albino stag; or some other insufferably coddled sacred
beast.
Narcissistic Obama and Cult of Personality.
Despite the fact that the record of his accomplishments is made up mostly of his empty or unfulfilled promises, Obama is
praised, by most of those who control what the American public is allowed see on TV news, as the Savior and Messiah, and
is granted unequivocal trust of his presumed righteousness and infallibility. This bears striking similarity of the
classic example of the cult of personality that Stalin commanded in the Soviet Union until his death in 1953.
Obama as God's Instrument: I first
endeavored to write this essay in order to validate for myself what I believed — from an inescapably
finite vantage point — to be a most salient principle behind God's unsearchable providence. The
principle I speak of is embodied in the Almighty's own caveat that he aims to exalt those who humble
themselves, and humble those who exalt themselves.
Murphy's Law, the Peter Principle
and Barack Obama. Barack Obama was conceived out of wedlock to an eighteen year-old girl, who was herself the
product of non-religious, rebellious parents, intent on unraveling the fabric of WASP America. Stanley Ann Dunham met
Barack Obama Sr., an already-married African Muslim man, in a Russian language class at the University of Hawaii in her
very first year there. According to President Obama's memoir, his biological father married his mother about three
months into the pregnancy, even though he already had a wife and children on his home continent. Hence, very shortly,
the father abandoned the new mother and her child to seek his own fortune and yet another wife-to-be at Harvard.
Obama Misreads His Mandate. President
Barack Obama's honeymoon period seems to have ended quickly. That's because Mr. Obama doesn't grasp the essentials of
presidential leadership. Rather than making a compelling case for his economic policies, he has resorted to curt
rebuffs, such as telling House Republican whip Eric Cantor, "I won." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the same
thing the same day: "We won the election; we wrote the [stimulus] bill." This is the trope of a party that has
lost its ability to make an argument.
The Arrogance of Barack Obama. The examples of
President Obama's overweening sense of pride, hubris and superiority are, in fact, legion.
Certainly a man who writes his autobiography twice by the age of forty-three, who makes no secret
of his intention to be the President of the United States while he is a neighborhood agitator in Chicago, and, later, as an
Illinois state senator is not a model of modesty, humility and self-effacement. Moreover, his short tenure in the
U.S. Senate was marked by continued exaggerations of his experience and the supposed jurisprudential acumen he demonstrated
as a lecturer at the University of Chicago School of Law.
The Audacity of the
Obamas: Great leaders do not say after just two weeks on the job that they are tired of
being in their office. Great leaders do not complain and they certainly do not have wives that joke
about being paroled from living in a mansion. ... Throughout the campaign, it was abundantly clear the Obamas
were completely out of touch with Middle America. Now that they "won," they continue to exhibit
arrogance beyond comprehension.
Obama's
Hubris Is Showing. Hubris is the word that comes to mind as I listen to President Obama
lay out his plan to rescue the economy, create 4 million jobs, halve the deficit in four years,
and give quality health care to every American. The man has big ambitions and an even bigger ego.
It has been one of the most troubling aspects of his character as it has emerged on the national scene in the
last two years. ... No one — no matter how talented — could accomplish a fraction of
what Obama has planned in a good economy, much less the weakened one we have right now. Worse, he
thinks he can do this simply by taxing the rich, a fantasy only someone who knows nothing about human
behavior, much less the U.S. tax system, could possibly believe.
Barack Obama — Narcissist or Merely Narcissistic?
Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist. Granted, only a qualified mental health diagnostician can determine whether
someone suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and this, following lengthy tests and personal interviews.
But, in the absence of access to Barack Obama, one has to rely on his overt performance and on testimonies by his closest,
nearest and dearest. ... In general, the narcissist always prefers show-off to substance. One of the most effective
methods of exposing a narcissist is by trying to delve deeper. The narcissist is shallow, a pond pretending to be an
ocean. He likes to think of himself as a Renaissance man, a Jack of all trades. The narcissist never admits to
ignorance in any field — yet, typically, he is ignorant of them all. It is surprisingly easy to penetrate the gloss
and the veneer of the narcissist's self-proclaimed omniscience.
Barack
Obama bets the farm in $4 trillion poker game. One of the most seductive elements of Barack
Obama's ascent to the White House was his unshakeable conviction that he was being called upon, at a time of
epochal peril, to bend the arc of history America's way. ... Only a man who frequently compares himself to
America's greatest President, Abraham Lincoln, would declare that when he was elected, "the rise of the
oceans will begin to slow".
Forcing Out Obama: There will
always be true believers for whom reality never intrudes, but it has not escaped anyone's attention that even
the worshipful media is beginning to ask why things are going so badly, so fast, and beginning to blame
Obama. The answer for the swift decline is that Obama is a pathological narcissist and dedicated
socialist who has surrounded himself for the most part with former Clinton operatives. Obama is,
plainly speaking, a liar. Increasingly, the adoration heaped upon him by his supporters is beginning to
resemble the same as that in the 1930s which led the Germans down the path to war, ruin, and the abomination
of the Holocaust.
Obama's
Indelicate Exposure. As comfortable as the president may look on the CBS show "60 Minutes,"
with Jay Leno or in a primetime press conference, he's spending valuable emotional and intellectual capital
with the relentless exposure in the modern media. Confident and cool, he's nevertheless beginning to
look a lot like a man afflicted with the hubris of show biz.
Obama the Great?
President Obama was compared favorably to Alexander the Great on Wednesday [3/25/2009] at a White House reception
honoring Greek Independence Day. The Greek Orthodox Church in America said the president should follow
the example of the ancient military conqueror to help solve some of Greece's problems. "I will tell
Michelle that I've been compared to Alexander the Great," the president told 200 guests, many of them
Greek-Americans from Chicago.
Obama
believes in his own exceptionalism. All politicians have egos, and there have been rapid rises
before (Franklin Pierce comes to mind), but Obama's iconoclastic approach belies more than just ambition.
Consider how he ran for president. Political convention holds that a candidate must never repeat the rumors
about himself. Obama started a Web site that chronicled the most outrageous ones and provided his answers to
some of the charges. National politicians — especially black ones — aren't supposed
to talk about race, but Obama talked at length about race and politics, including his America-damning pastor
of 20 years.
Obama's
Narcissism: After he sat listening to a 52-minute tirade about America the Fascist
Imperialist tyranny, a droll Barack Obama told the media that the rant by Nicaragua's Daniel C.
Ortega "wasn't about me." No, it wasn't. It was about America which evidently didn't
concern the narcissistic U. S. president since it involved John F. Kennedy, not he. And
it did not occur to him to defend America since he himself wasn't named: thus the narcissism.
Also the lack of patriotism.
Obama's
liberal arrogance will be his undoing. The most remarkable, or certainly the least remarked on,
aspect of Barack Obama's first 100 days has been the infectious arrogance of his presidency. There's
no denying that this is liberalism's greatest opportunity for wish fulfillment since at least 1964. But
to listen to Democrats, the only check on their ambition is the limits of their imaginations.
Obamamania or overkill? He is the most photographed man on
the planet. And, just in case we had forgotten that, the White House has issued a new series of photographs
to commemorate Barack Obama's 100 days in office today. One hundred photographs for 100 days would
have been enough for anyone — but, just to drive the point home, the White House has decided to include
three times that number in the set.
No Class. I've never thought
much of Barack Obama's policies, and I'm starting not to think much of him as a human being. ... It would be
interesting to know how much of his own money Barack Obama has given to veterans' charities over the
years. I'd hazard a guess: zero.
Gullible's Travels.
I am Barry Gullible and I am King of the most powerful nation in the world: the United States of America.
Although I appear to be the same size as my Lilliputian American countrymen, I am not, for I tower above them
in greatness and stature.
But Enough About Me.
Doesn't Obama's self-regard sometimes seem greater than his regard for the position he occupies? Does he
understand that the office of the presidency is bigger — much bigger — than
he is? Or does Obama think of the presidency primarily as a vessel through which to exercise his
political gifts and pursue his personal achievements?
Narcissus And
Echo: Obama And The Mainstream Media. It is troubling that our president is a pathological
narcissist caught up in the thought patterns of Darwin, Marx, and Alinsky. Even more troubling is the
fact that the Mainstream Media, suffering from an Obama-inspired narcosis, shirks its duty, refusing to
publish or even explore any aspect of Obama's dark side.
Where's the Mockery of Joe 'Dubya'
Biden? Considering the money made by shows like The Colbert Report, The Daily Show,
and Saturday Night Live off of this punch line-providing caricature, one would think they'd leap at the
opportunity to draw a similar one of Vice President Joe Biden, who is a gaffe factory just a few notches below
Dan Quayle. But, perhaps because Biden doesn't fit the stereotype of a dumb politician (i.e., he's not an
intellectually backward social conservative Republican), he remains unscathed from his missteps. A quick look
at the most recent gaffe indicates comedians will have growing amounts of material delivered to the desk.
An Unhealthy Infatuation With Obama.
[Scroll down slowly] The infatuation matters because Obama's ambitions are so grand. He wants to expand health
care subsidies, tightly control energy use and overhaul immigration. He envisions the greatest growth of government
since Lyndon Johnson. ... Are his proposals practical, even if desirable? Maybe they're neither. What might be
unintended consequences? All "reforms" do not succeed; some cause more problems than they solve. Johnson's
economic policies, inherited from Kennedy, proved disastrous; they led to the 1970s' stagflation. The "war on
poverty" failed. The press should not be hostile, but it ought to be skeptical. Mostly, it isn't.
Memo
to Obama attack dog Robert Gibbs: stop pooping on our lawn. Insulting the British print media. Big
mistake. We know we're not angels. We know we can go over the top sometimes. But unfortunately that's a
much bigger problem for you than it is for us. You see, while a lot of your mainstream media will hold fire on stories
which they think may reflect poorly on your wondrous Obamamessiah — what his half-brother has been up to,
say — we have fewer qualms about telling it like it is. So far, you've had a pretty easy ride. The
Obama Kool Aid has proved almost as popular beverage in Britain as it is in the US. But just you wait till we start
showing our teeth.
Establishment
press channels Team Obama. [Scroll down] NBC isn't exactly credible anymore. It's hard to shoot
straight with a parent company looking to milk the administration through favorable regulations and a news department that
has gone hard Left to try to shore up poor ratings. But across the television spectrum (except FOX News) and in the
rivers of newsprint gushing forth from the old-guard papers, the same White House-approved story took shape.
White House reporters laugh an average of ten times per briefing.
Robert Gibbs gets a lot of laughs in his briefings.
The United States is facing its biggest financial crisis in ages. North Korea is blowing up nukes. Dick Cheney
warns us of the "dangers that have not gone away." And there are still wars raging in Afghanistan and Iraq. But
over in the White House press briefing room, it's a veritable laugh riot.
Mega-egos. [Obama's] inflated self-image
has induced me and others to classify him as a narcissist. But is he instead a Rooseveltian mega-ego? I
don't think it matters. In either case, the self-idolizing overconfidence leads to a reckless irresponsibility
that resembles a toddler in control of a bulldozer.
The Prism of Obama.
There is one thing about Barack Obama's speech in Cairo that critics and supporters can agree on: It was vintage
Obama. ... It was fundamentally about him. It's becoming a cliché to say that Obama is always
campaigning — running for a job he already has. But that may put the cart before the horse.
Just as plausibly, Obama is simply being Obama, a man hardwired to see the world as a stage built just for him, who can
charm his way out of tight spots so well...
The Narcissist in Chief.
Incredibly, there are Obamanutz among us who honestly don't realize that Barack Obama is a narcissist of the
worst kind. Most people erroneously presume that narcissism is something akin to egomania or an unusually
high sense of self-esteem. The truth is the reverse. Narcissists suffer from self-loathing, not
too much self-love. It takes a bit of narcissism to wake up in the morning and think, "Hey, I really
ought to be leader of the free world." Coming to such a conclusion in the fourth grade is, to say the
least, ambitious. Having some narcissistic traits does not a narcissist make. However,
according to the Encyclopedia of Mental Disorders, grandiosity is the most important single trait
in narcissism. Obama's grandiosity is striking.
Do You Recognize
Barack Obama in These Texts? Narcissists (and, often, by contagion, their unfortunate victims)
don't talk, or communicate. They fend off. They hide and evade and avoid and disguise. In
their planet of capricious and arbitrary unpredictability, of shifting semiotic and semantic
dunes — they perfect the ability to say nothing in lengthy, Castro-like speeches.
Obama's biggest
character flaw: They've got his number, all the political con artists around the world.
For a little balloon-pumping flattery Obama will sell out American national security interests —
not to mention those of our allies. Obama's "historic" Epistle to the Muslims, delivered last month at
Cairo's Al Azhar University (an international center for Islamist propaganda) was not really intended to make
a billion Muslims fall down at his feet. No, the main goal of all those grand gestures is to make Obama
feel better about himself. That's the key to his character.
Our Sophist-in-Chief.
There are, I think, several things to say about all this. The first is that what is most tired, old,
and worn out is Obama's lazy rhetorical ploy. He relies on a few stock, and by now hackneyed, phrases
to substitute for a serious engagement with issues. Second, President Obama's words reinforce the
impression some of us have that his most dangerous personal characteristic is his other-worldly self-regard.
He seems to believe he is unlike, and better than, any others who have come before him. He sees himself
as a man of awe-inspiring intellectual honesty, a mind rinsed off of prejudice and bias. While the rest
of the country is engaged in petty and trivial fights in political sand-boxes, Obama is America's playground
attendant, teaching the rest of us how to act right and think right. It is all rather too much.
Pot calls kettle black: Obama notes lack of humility among
bankers. President Barack Obama says he sees a lack of humility among leaders of the financial
community. While noting that some of the most powerful U.S. banks had repaid federal bailout money, Obama
said: "What you haven't seen (in the financial sector) is a change in culture, a certain humility where
they kind of step back and say gosh, you know, we really messed things up."
The oaf of office: Obama's revealing
body language. I am stunned that the official White House Blog published this picture and that
it is in the public domain. ... So who is compassionate? And who is so self-involved and arrogant that
he is oblivious?
First Brat: It's All About Him.
[President Obama] has all the attributes of a brat. He wants all the attention he can get. He doesn't take
criticism well. He is full of bravado and false promises. He keeps reminding everyone that he is the President
as if the idea surprises even himself. Or as a reminder that he does, indeed, hold a great deal of power, ceded to
him by the American people. There's no real sense of humility about him.
An American Socrates and Other Myths.
What is most remarkable, and in some ways most unsettling, is that President Obama seems to believe all this. Even
as he has, in the span of eight months, lost more support than any president before him, he continues to view himself in
almost mythical terms.
Of Me I Sing.
In every one of the Emperor Hussein's speeches, not only does the song remain the same, so do the words.
I want you to do this. I am going to force you to do that. I will not allow
you to do whatever. Not since Thomas Friedman got his column at the New York Times has anyone so abused
the first-person singular.
Is Obama a Narcissist? [Scroll
down slowly] As an adult, Obama sought out other people who reinforced and hardened this world view: black
nationalists, like Rev. Wright; 60's terrorists, such as Bill Ayers; wife Michelle, who never felt pride in this country,
regardless of a Princeton education, cushy attorney jobs, and a million dollar mansion. Chillingly, some of these
people, like Rev. Wright, anointed Obama a messiah, which may have only magnified Obama's false pride and delusions of
grandeur. Obama could have gone down one of two roads. One was to face the truth about his life, regardless
of the shame, hurt, and grief this would evoke. But Obama chose another path, the one that allowed him to save
face; he made the personal political.
Obama's Speeches —
Obama Mentions Himself Nearly 1,200 Times! Obama loves to hear himself talk — about
himself. In just 41 speeches so this year, not including this week's big speech at the United Nations,
Obama has talked about himself nearly 1,200 times — 1,198 to be exact. And that just includes
34 weekly addresses and his seven major speeches. Count the hundreds of other public speeches and he'd
be off the charts.
Sympathy for the Devil.
What worries me the most about Obama is this: the part of him that should want to shield us from harm
seems chillingly absent. The economy is tanking — Obama laughs. We are accumulating
crippling debt — he and the other Democrats go on a spending spree. Millions take to the
street for a peaceful 9/12 march. He doesn't notice. We oppose the government controlling our
lives, especially health care, but he rams legislation down our throats anyway. Our allies have started
to realize that Obama doesn't care about them either.
The Limits of Egomania. Chicago
is out of the Olympics bidding process — in the first round. Why did Obama invest so much personal capital and time
for this? Well, he simply can't help himself. ... It's also another reminder that, apparently, there isn't anyone
influential enough in the White House to keep the president from embarrassing himself. No one to say, "Enough with
the talk shows."
Olympic-Sized Ego. Obama's belief in
international institutions is quite typical of liberalism, but what gives his approach a twist is the additional belief
that the power of his sheer awesomeness alone will convince other nations to remake the world in accordance with his
administration's goals.
Olympic Gold for
Narcissism. In the Niagara of words spoken and written about the Obamas' trip to Copenhagen, too
few have been devoted to the words they spoke there. ... Both Obamas gave heartfelt speeches about ... themselves.
Although the working of the committee's mind is murky, it could reasonably have rejected Chicago's bid for the 2016 games
on aesthetic grounds — unless narcissism has suddenly become an Olympic sport.
Half a president. President Obama
apparently wants to do only half of his job — the part that is the most fun. ... The Presidency of the United
States to Mr. Obama is nothing more than a stage so he, pre-ordained by destiny, can act as head of state for the
world. ... It appears President Obama also believes as the world head of state he can, by sheer force of his will,
charm and persuasion convince the most brutal of global adversaries to live in peace.
Obama the Player. Like all
players, Obama cares only for himself. 'It's not about me,' he says. But when speaking before the UN,
Obama asked, "those who question the character and cause of my nation" to merely, "look at the concrete actions
that we have taken in just nine months." As if the greatness of America is embodied in the Obama
Administration? Even if that's true, it still shows that Obama himself is his own proof.
Compare and Contrast.
Obama seeks to place himself in the headlines of newspapers and to lead the television news broadcasts on a
daily basis, achieving an omnipresence unprecedented in American politics. He has given scores of speeches,
each heralded to be of great consequence to the nation and the world. He has staked much of his presidential
power on the sheer force of his personality, giving little consideration to the sustainability of such a
strategy or whether so much narcissistic pageantry is becoming to a national leader. His public pronouncements
are astonishingly self-absorbed: to take one example, in their speeches to the International Olympic Committee
in Copenhagen, the First Couple used the first-person pronoun 70 times in 89 sentences.
Obama's bootlicking
NEA chairman. Where are the checks and balances when you are surrounded by people who are
enthralled with you and covered by a infatuated media? America does not need an ego-driven Presdient
who is considered — by himself, as well as others — to be infallible.
Narcissistic Rage
in the White House. [Scroll down] Obama is far and away the biggest and most naïve
narcissist in living memory to occupy the White House. ... But even if Obama is defeated in 2012, he
will just turn into an angrier version of Al Gore and Jimmy Carter. He will haunt the
political future of this country as long as he is alive, because that famished ego never gets
enough. Malignant narcissism often gets worse over time.
An O-Care Victory Will
Make Him More Narcissistic. Narcissists have a problem with reality. They are
absolutists of a kind, and their absolute ideal is themselves. So a defeat makes them feel utterly
enraged because it strengthens their gnawing self-doubts... but victory supports their messianic self-image.
When Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize that in a way made him the laughingstock even of the international Left,
he snapped it up without a second thought. He just thinks he deserves it. Just think about that
for a second. What kind of a man gets a Nobel Peace Prize on the strength of no accomplishments,
and accepts it as his just due without a second thought? Obama.
Two-Time
Grammy Award winner Obama. Everyone needs to have a healthy ego if they assume they have the
experience and competency to be president of the United States. But that ego needs to be coupled with
a tinge of humility. And it helps to make a distinction between two forms of egomania, given the
president's admitted lack of experience, which is even more obvious now.
Anti-Obama,
Pro-America. President Obama chose not to travel to Germany for the 20th anniversary of the fall
of the Berlin Wall. Instead, he graced the occasion with a video address. He didn't have time in his
two-and-a-half minutes to mention Ronald Reagan or Margaret Thatcher or Pope John Paul II. But
somehow he did find time to mention ... Barack Obama.
Obama's Narcissism Will
Nauseate — Eventually. It's undeniable that one factor in Barack Obama's victory
last year was his smooth demeanor, particularly when contrasted with the aged and seemingly crotchety John
McCain. On the reverse side of the political spectrum, I doubt Sarah Palin would garner the same
following among men were she comparable to, say, Dianne Feinstein in appearance. But Americans
don't like arrogant schmucks, either.
Obama's Obvious
Disdain. President Obama is a man of breathtaking self-regard and self-absorption. As many
have noted, he can hardly give a speech without eulogizing himself and intimating that his Presidency marks a
watershed in American, if not world history. In the same fashion, he seems to take a certain
malicious — one might even say, childish — pleasure in humiliating his
rivals and underlings.
Health Care Reform
Vaporizes Obama Presidency. Obama's ego and self-absorption apparently required him to be on
stage all the time. According to CBS News, there were only 21 days in his first year where Obama
did not make at least one public appearance. The statistics from CBS were amazing: 411 speeches,
comments, and remarks — of which 52 were on VaporCare. Obama gave 158 interviews, visited
58 U.S. cities and 21 foreign nations, took 160 flights on Air Force One, 193 flights on Marine One,
etc., etc. In short, it was all Obama, all the time.
Never Laugh at a Narcissist.
Narcissists are high maintenance creatures with little hope of changing. The personality disorder is
baked into them. Barack Obama shows the thin skinned nature of the narcissist in his responses to
criticism. Narcissists also have no intestinal fortitude for ridicule. Not only does Barack Obama
lash out at critics, he is entirely devoid of the kind of self deprecating humor that can be so endearing in
people in power.
Obama and the Copenhagen
Syndrome. [Scroll down slowly] Americans still generally like Mr. Obama, or at least they'd like
to like him. It's the $12 trillion deficit and Rube Goldberg health schemes that rub them wrong.
So what's Copenhagen Syndrome? It is a belief in your own miracles. It is thinking that those who crowned
you king actually knew what they were doing.
Obama's loose grip on
reality: Mr. Obama seems unaware that he is part of the problem. The president credited
Scott Brown's historic Senate-race victory in Massachusetts last week to the same voter frustration that swept
him into office in 2008. The glitch in that worldview is that Mr. Brown ran explicitly against the
Obama agenda.
Obama takes voters for granted. Don't Call Us. We'll Call You.
No one loves Barack Obama more than the District of Columbia. This goes without saying. During the 2008
presidential election, the nation's capital delivered all 142 precincts to the president, which amounted to a
whopping 93 percent support. So when the city council decided to formally invite Obama to a reception
in his honor, you'd imagine the chances of his showing up would be fairly reasonable. Think again.
The Obamarang: Obama is a
narcissist, who believes that his reality is our reality, that his rules are our rules. If the king, the
autocrat, the heart-throb, the prophet, or the messiah says something is true, then facts and reality adjust
accordingly. Facts and corrections are boring. And if confronted with contrary evidence, the
self-infatuated simply smiles with the assurance that the problem is others', not his.
Do Democrats Lack a
Conscience? It is not just the dichotomy of Obama's words versus his lifestyle that bear out
the hypocrisy of his character and his soul (or lack thereof). It is the arrogance on display since the
day he was inaugurated that is most astounding. It is the self-entitlement, the "I won," the belief that
"the big difference here and in '94 was you got me," and the egocentric narcissism that is not only disgusting
to watch, but has additionally resulted in policies detrimental to America.
Buried wearing an Obama
T-Shirt? It's all about him. There is nothing wrong with a president having self-confidence.
We demand that in our leaders. But stuff like this — and his constant, annoying use of the
pronoun "I" — reveal a man so in love with his supposed abilities and intellect that even when the
people tell him he's on the wrong track (as they did in the Massachusetts senate race), he refuses to
acknowledge it and, indeed, turns the message into a self-referencing verification of his own election.
Surviving the King and Queen of Sulk.
It's President's Day in the USA, and in faraway Jakarta, a silly statue of Barack Obama has been booted out of a
public park to be re-planted at a school he may have once attended. Ron Mullers, whose idea it was as
chairman of the Friends of Obama foundation to erect the statue, is now playing down the fact that the bronze
effigy was hurriedly booted out of the park and sent over to the school Obama allegedly attended from 1967-1971 as
Barry Soetoro.
Obama Believes He Has the Secret Blueprint to
the Universe. There must be a simple explanation for President Obama's stubborn refusal to admit
mistakes or change his failed far-left policies. ... In a nutshell, what Obama did his first year was rampantly
spend taxpayer money to "solve" our financial woes by staggering government investment. Pointedly, Barack
is spending borrowed money, to be repaid later, to solve current problems. This controversial fiscal
policy is called "Keynesian Economics."
Obama Unmasked: Like
many others, I have watched Barack Obama quite closely for much of the last two years. And I'm not sure I've
ever seen him more agitated and condescending. He is, in fact, imperious. One can tell he is used to
being coddled for much of his life. He's used to being referred to as the "Black Jesus" by his aides. He's
used to being told he's God's gift to humanity. He's been told those things and he's internalized them.
Obama's Malignant
Narcissism: I don't think we've had this extreme and radical a president ever before in
American history. Lincoln, Wilson and FDR took radical actions, but only at a time of huge national
crises. We don't have a national crisis today. Obama is our national crisis. Obama
is going for the "nuclear option" to force very bad and very toxic medicine down our throats. ... By
choosing the "nuclear option" Obama is demonstrating do-or-die fanaticism. This makes for
great TV football, but it's very dangerous for the man in the biggest power seat in the world.
Health
Care Is Obama's Gateway Drug. With Barack Obama, his rhetoric isn't the reality. The
reality of his current message on health care is actually this: bail out my presidency because I'm too
big to fail. In rhetoric, there is what is said and what is meant. Obama publicly says his health
care reforms must pass to save money and save those at risk. But what he privately admits to
Democrats — whose arms he is twisting to vote for reforms the public hates — is that his
bill must pass by any means necessary to save his presidency.
Gloomy
Obama would rather be a victim than leader. People are noticing how little President Obama seems
to enjoy his job. The president's two main emotions on display are regret and indignation. He's either
lecturing about the problems facing the country in a slightly patronizing tone or expressing his disgust with
someone who won't take his lesson to heart.
O's ego booster
shot. Finally exposed was the Holy Grail of the ruthless quest. It was so our Narcissist-In-Chief
could claim another notch on history's belt. Don't think for a second the whole last year was about reducing
the deficit or bending the cost curve. Nor was it ever really about helping Americans who need better medical
care. A handful of those poor souls were there again yesterday, human props for his show. As he
smugly read the roster of predecessors who tried and failed, from T.R. to Bill and Hillary, there was no
pretense of modesty. This was about him.
Confronting Obama's Messiah
complex. Seemingly intoxicated by Congress's endorsement of his health care legislation,
President Barack Obama appears to have been overcome by a Messiah complex. His actions relating to the
Middle East during recent weeks oblige us to face realities about our "unshakable" alliance with the United
States.
Thanks For What? Rather
than protesting the greatest expansion of government in U.S. history, Tea Party attendees should be thanking Big
Government for all it's done. At least, that's what President Obama thinks.
Humor vs. Contempt: Obama
and the Question of Character. [Scroll down slowly] Obama's modus operandi excels in the
deployment of contempt. ... [I]n some ways Obama's habitual expression of contempt is the most alarming
component of his style of governing. Together with his evident self-infatuation and notorious sensitivity
to criticism, it bespeaks a character that is volatile, heedless, and disengaged from the palpable realities
faced by the people he represents.
Obama is Kicking the Dog.
Barack Obama has taken up the fine art of "kicking the dog," which is a narcissistic practice where a person
in authority passes blame along to the lowest level, where, for lack of a fall guy, the dog ends up getting
kicked. Obama claims that the buck stops with him, yet the president habitually avoids blame by pointing
the finger of accusation at animate people and inanimate objects, which translates into presidential "dog-kicking."
Obama has proven to be a master blamer and finger-pointer. In fact, Obama takes finger-pointing to a whole
new level.
America's Death by Professor.
Where professors rule, life is cruel. That is the bottom line for the average American in this, the
transformative age of the president the New York Times and Washington Post has called "Professor" Obama, who
"schools" the ignorant at home and abroad. Never before have so many with so little humility gathered
together in our government, each believing he "is the smartest guy in the room."
Obama, the
Thin-Skinned President. The president's instincts are by now obvious to all: deflect
blame, point fingers, and lash out at others, most especially his predecessor. We know from
press reports that the strategy for the Democrats in 2010, two years after Obama was elected president,
is to — you guessed it — blame George W. Bush. What explains all this
is hard to know. But it's clear he has adopted an image of himself as something rare and remarkable,
a historic figure of almost super-human abilities.
King Barack
the Verbose. [Scroll down] Tim Flannery, the Aussie global warm-monger who chaired the
Copenhagen climate circus a few months back, announces with a straight face that "we're trying to act as a
species to regulate the atmosphere." Never mind anything so footling as the incoming tides, but the
very atmosphere! How do you do that? Well, first, take one extremely large check. Next,
add several extra zeroes to it. Then, toss it out the window. "He whom heaven, earth, and sea
obey by eternal laws"? Hah! That's chickenfeed compared to the way things are gonna be once
heaven, earth, and sea are forced to submit to a transnational micro-regulatory regime.
Obama Plays the Credit Card.
[Scroll down] Ronald Reagan, self-consciously playing off Truman, put a conspicuous plaque on his desk
as well. It said: "There is no limit to what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the
credit." Judging by Barack Obama's press conference remarks about the Louisiana oil spill, he has
fashioned the obverse slogan: "There is no limit to the credit you can get if you don't care who did
the accomplishing."
Arrogance in the Executive.
There is no surer sign of weakness and insecurity than the repeated assertion of your own power and authority.
This truth has somehow eluded Barack Obama. Hence the unending (and off-putting) self-puffery in his recent
presidential press conference. Again and again, the president felt obliged to remind us of the centrality
of his own position in responding to the Gulf oil spill, as if this would counteract the horrible pictures of
thousands of gallons of oil gushing out of the ocean floor.
Narcissist in Chief?
[Scroll down slowly] Obama accepts the notion that he is the messiah — that he and he alone can fix this country and, for
that matter, the world. If ever there was an exaggerated achievement without commensurate accomplishment,
the Nobel Peace Prize given to Obama would be it. He expects to be recognized as superior even when he
has achieved nothing positive to show it. He ignores the evidence about global warming and man's alleged
interference because this simply does not comply with his demands — details be damned. There
are no substantive examples of his school achievements. His portfolio is razor-thin, and there is evidence
that he did not author his own books, yet he rides on the crest of all-consuming power and privilege.
Hood shootings; or his vacations, golfing, partying and fundraising during the calamitous
oil spill.
This job, too, is beneath
Obama. [Scroll down] It is hard to imagine Obama wandering along to watch a Memorial Day or
Fourth of July parade until the job required him to. That's not to say he's un-American or anti-American,
but merely that he's beyond all that. Way beyond. He's the first president to give off the pronounced
whiff that he's condescending to the job — that it's really too small for him, and he's just killing
time until something more commensurate with his stature comes along.
The
Left Wanted Barack Obama, and They Got Him — Warts and All. [Scroll down] And
we all know how well Obama deals with criticism. Whatever you might want to say about his predecessor,
George W. Bush was able to take his lumps. If he complained about how the press treated him, he
did it privately and no one tattled on him. Obama? Not so much. Even the teensiest bit of
publicly uttered disapproval or disagreement of his agenda gets his knickers in a twist. He becomes
self-defensive, testy, and downright snippy.
Obama & the Eighty-One Percent True
Believers. [Scroll down] Consider the extraordinary self-absorption and selfishness
of typical liberal politicians. Of Clinton's decision to use Monica Lewinsky as a plaything, or
Hillary's decision to sacrifice everything human upon the alter of power. Consider Al Gore's
selfish decision to defy the 2000 election. But is Obama most selfish of all? Consider — he
visited his own half-brother in Kenya, living off a dollar a month in a plywood shanty-town. And
the millionaire senator, while boasting in speeches of "being my brother's keeper," apparently
offered not a cent!
Barack Obama, Adult
Child of an Alcoholic. In 12-step recovery programs, Obama would be called an ACoA, an adult
child of an alcoholic. His father, Barack Obama, Sr., was the typical, garden-variety chronic
alcoholic. ... His words drip with the narcissism of adult children of alcoholics. Having been
abandoned by both parents, Obama sees himself as alone in the world. He doesn't have to consult the
experts; in his grandiose way of thinking, he's the expert on everything.
Presidential Self-Adulation
Hits New High. The PSA Index is the official measure of Presidential Self-Approval. It
first came into existence in December of 2009, when the president appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show and
awarded himself a B-Plus for his first year in office.
Sixteen
Thousand Birthday Wishes From Obama to His Favorite Person. Since Obama took office January last
year, he's talked endlessly about himself. At townhalls, in speeches, during anniversaries and to the
press, the message has always been the same: "I." Obama has spoken some form of "I" or "me"
more than 16,000 official times since he took office.
Our Lecturer in Chief.
President Obama just can't help himself. It's impulse. Every time he sees the American people, in
their infinite and confounding ignorance, pursuing a course they shouldn't, he intervenes to correct them.
Such is the view from the clouds on which he placidly floats above us all. Most politicians speak of the
wisdom of the American people. Some even believe it. But not Obama. Time and time again, he
takes to the lectern to scold or educate us.
Just what is Barack Obama?
[Scroll down] There is real danger here. This is the behavior of tyrants. This is Nero,
Napolean, Hitler, Mussolini, Ahmadinejad — all those would-be self-annointed deities.
Self-worship is the religion of tyrants. When you believe yourself superior to your fellow man, you
believe yourself entitled to absolute power over all those fallible fellow humans under your authority.
Obama's True Religion: [Scroll
down] His conscience is governed by the basest sense of self-centered and self-serving egotistical
emotion. And although President Obama does comes across as a Muslim to many people, the only real
similarity he has with them is sharing the same attitude Muslim extremists have toward America. Obama
does not now, nor will he ever, practice any religion remotely affiliated with worshiping a power higher than
himself. No, America. Barack Obama's true religion is not Muslim or Christian — his
true religion is himself.
So Is He a Christian?
In some ways, Obama exhibits a worldview that more closely resembles a secularist than it does either a Muslim
or a Christian, especially in his views on social issues. Also, he seems to place a great deal of confidence
in himself and in government to bring about transformational change. How many God-fearing people have you
known who would say "we (meaning I) are the ones we've been waiting for" or "generations from now, we will be
able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow
and our planet began to heal"? The staggering conceit of these statements cannot be overstated.
David Limbaugh Brilliantly Skewers Obama.
Crimes Against Liberty finds [David] Limbaugh railing against an administration rapidly eroding a once-great
nation's core strengths. The first chapter, dealing with Obama's runaway ego, might be the least problematic
in terms of governance. But it's Obama's narcissistic ways that feed into much of his agenda. A
man who wrote two autobiographies before he truly accomplished anything special should have been a warning
sign, the author notes.
Thickness of the President's
Skin. [Scroll down] I used to think I was just imagining it. Like when the president
said he didn't pay attention to all the cable chatter, but didn't waste a moment ripping all the cable chatter.
If he didn't know about it, how was he so familiar with it and why was he wigging out about it? Then the
stuff about his trying to rise above the fray, but more often than not, more than happy to roll in the mud.
Insisting he was the president for whom the buck stopped, but not without taking every chance to rip the last
president for whom the statute of limitations on blame never stopped.
Obama's empathy gap.
It has finally dawned on Barack Obama and his advisors that his cool, imperious, arrogant style, however effective
it may have been when he was taking potshots at George W. Bush during the campaign, is a turn-off for the
citizenry he is leading as president. It doesn't help that he and Michelle are so fond of living large
while real unemployment is at 15 or 16 percent, and that his economic policies are making matters
worse.
'Like a Dog':
The Origins of Barack Obama's Petulance. [Scroll down] Obama's petulance, I think, more likely
derives from a certain surprise — leading to anger — that originates from novel and sudden
demands for accountability. Quite simply, no one has dared question Obama before — much less
press him for deeds to match his mellifluous words. Did he really think he could talk his way through
four years of the American presidency? Apparently, he did, and apparently he was almost right —
given that rhetoric and sophistry earned him the presidency in the first place.
New Narcissus. Only someone with
an insatiable ego could charm his way to the world's most powerful position. But ego is only a component
of a psychological package that captivated a majority of voters, especially those whose educations are so
paltry as to leave them with little or no powers of discernment, who needed only to hear "hope and change" to
be swept off their feet. It is much more than just ego: It is narcissism.
Obama's
Arrogance Starting to Get Noticed. The good news is that it's apparently not racist to call
Obama arrogant anymore. Not long ago, Keith Olbermann and other gargoyles on the parapets of establishment
liberalism insisted that if you were to call attention to the fact that Obama ostentatiously holds himself in
very high regard, you were really calling him "uppity," if you know what I mean. Now, what was once
taboo has become undeniable.
Marie Antoinette
has nothing on the Obamas. Despite campaigning as a consensus-builder and something of a healer,
perhaps the most accurate term we can use to describe Barack Obama's governing style is "in your face."
The term seems to have originated in the United States in the 1970's, more than likely on the basketball court
or in another sports venue. Meaning aggressively or blatantly confrontational, the term accurately reflects
the Obama mindset, as he peers down his nose from Mount Obamus to those who dare disagree with his policies
or pronouncements.
The Ego-in-Chief.
Two weeks ago, Obama essentially claimed Americans are too scared and ignorant to understand what his administration
is doing. Taken to task for this arrogant claim the president nevertheless pushed ahead with his theory
that Americans just aren't bright enough to appreciate his genius.
Now a few words about Antisocial Personality Disorder: The Definitive Answer.
[President Obama] doesn't seem to do well in ad lib situations, and his use of the teleprompter during his
appearances is legend. This incapacity is coupled with an overdeveloped sense of self; a grandiose
nature. He's a man who seems almost contemptuous of those who dare to question him or his policies.
Is Obama Trapped?
[Scroll down] Traveling in India, the president misinterpreted the comments of an Indian businessman in a
way that reveals his tenacious self-worship. As Jake Tapper reported, Mr. Bhupendra Kansagra, founder
of SpiceJet, greeted the president: "Welcome, Mr. President, to India. As a fellow Kenyan, I'm very
proud to see that you have made ..." at which point Obama interrupted to say "made something of myself."
Kansagra finished the sentence: "... India as the focus of your drive for exports out of the U.S."
American Narcissus.
Politicians as a class are particularly susceptible to mirror-gazing. But Obama's vanity is overwhelming.
It defines him, his politics, and his presidency.
Narcissism is No
Longer a Psychiatric Disorder. Narcissistic personality disorder, characterized by an inflated sense
of self-importance and the need for constant attention, has been eliminated from the upcoming manual of mental
disorders, which psychiatrists use to diagnose mental illness.
The Editor says...
Narcissism may be rampant, but that doesn't mean it's normal.
What if Obama isn't
an Ideologue? Many conservatives have noted Barack Obama's Marxist roots. They fear that
our president may be a radical ideologue, a loather of American values, a false Christian more likely to
follow the Koran than the Bible, a slavish disciple of the odious Alinsky. They may be right. But
there is another possibility: Barack Obama may be nothing more than a purely political animal, committed
to nothing at all except his own fame, his own pleasure, and his own power.
The Editor says...
Or he could be both.
B.H. Obama:
Shameless Imperialist. Obama's ego is Napoleonic. He needs to expand his power without
limits. That's the nature of malignant narcissism. Civilized and democratic peoples suffer when
Napoleonic characters take power. We can't see the end game yet. This might or might not end in
a major war or worse. But we have a riverboat gambler running the ship of state, and he loves to play
with the power of "audacity."
Washington Post
punctures another Obama boast. Barack Obama gives himself another pat on the back and undeserved
good grade. Does he ever have any sense of humility? Will the lies ever stop?
Obama's Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
Obama's desperate need for attention is clearly a psychological condition. He drinks in applause like a
washed-up movie star. It is usual for neglected children to develop narcissistic personality disorder (NPD),
typically characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a strong sense of entitlement, preoccupations with
utopian fantasies, elitism, manipulative tendencies and pathological need for praise. President Obama was
abandoned by his parents during childhood. Now he exhibits the textbook symptoms of NPD.
Obama at the Abyss.
American voters will soon start to look for adults to lead the country. Not ego-tripping adolescents.
Obama's Edifice Complex.
What do most Americans come across every day that is the legacy of one President? One more clue: think
Dwight Eisenhower. Bingo! The highway system was created and promoted by Eisenhower and has outlasted
his mortal self. Does Obama want to create a monument to his own Presidency, miles wide and sprawling
across the nation for all of us to behold? Could Obama leave a similar edifice behind — say
a high speed rail network costing taxpayers tens of billions of dollars? He has been forcefully trying
to get this past Congress and past recalcitrant Governors worried about the real-world viability of high-speed
rail networks across America. These high speed rail projects would be a disaster.
King Barack's Waivers.
When Barack Obama declared during the 2008 presidential campaign, "We are the ones we've been waiting for,"
I remember thinking that this imbecilic slogan was a perfectly calibrated appeal to the puerile solipsism
that defines the contemporary progressive. What did not occur to me was that Obama might have been
speaking in the majestic plural. Now, having observed this imperious executive in action for two
years, I begin to suspect that he was using the word "we" in the same way that Queen Victoria employed it
when she famously observed, "We are not amused."
Obama Lies About Golf.
Presidents sometimes feel compelled to tell you what they are not. In 1973, President Richard Nixon
famously said "I am not a crook." In 2011, President Obama told a group of editors from Hearst magazines
that he is not a golf addict. According to the Hearst report, the reason President Obama spends so much
time unwinding on the links is because security restrictions mean he can't go out for long walks or go to
the car wash. "It's the only excuse I have to get outside for four hours at a stretch," he said.
Nice try! But not true.
The Editor says...
Are we supposed to feel sorry for Obama because he's cooped up in the White House all day? Hey, Barry,
if you don't like the job, you can quit at any time!
The Unhappy
President. The list of people I feel sorry for is long. ... But one guy who doesn't make
the list is Barack Obama.
Obama's
Likability Gap. The Barack Obama we've been seeing lately is a different personality
than the one that made a miracle run to the White House in 2008. Obama.2008 was engaging, patient,
open, optimistic and a self-identified conciliator. Obama.2011 has been something else —
testy, petulant, impatient, arrogant and increasingly a divider. Never forget: That historic
2008 victory came with 52.9% of the total vote and 52% of independent voters.
Obama:
Mistakes? Can't think of any. The president began his response haltingly, pointing out that
he has actually been in office just two and a half years, and "I'm sure I'll make more mistakes in the
next year and a half." ... But the president mentioned no actual mistakes.
Obama's Unholy Thursday.
Yesterday [4/21/2011], while Jews were celebrating Passover and Christians were preparing for Easter, wealthy liberals
on the west side of Los Angeles were busy bowing down to their deity, Barack Obama, who was in town to
raise money for his reelection campaign. Obama spent his time in Los Angeles worshiping himself among
his followers in Beverly Hills. For many in Los Angeles, Obama's visit was a most unholy Thursday.
Obama says he is a Christian, and I believe him. But when he says he cares about the concerns of
ordinary people, I do not believe him for one moment.
Obama Versus the
Constitution: Obama acts like a Third World socialist, like his Kenyan father, and his
thinking is stunningly rigid. He seems to be woefully ignorant about basic economics, science, and
technology, international affairs, and the conventions of American politics. Either that, or he is acting
that way as part of his peculiar character disorder. Deliberately violating norms is a way to show
contempt for "middleclassness," as Jerry Wright calls it. It's the bourgeois values that Karl Marx
hated so much. In psychiatry, deliberate lifelong violations of accepted rules are a sign of
"oppositional-defiant personality," closely allied with grandiose narcissism. That describes Obama's
lifelong character.
Arrogance and
Narcissism Reign in King Barack's Court. Arrogance allows Obama to travel on the
publicly-funded Air Force One at $70,000 per flight hour while demonizing corporate CEOs for flying
privately-funded aircraft at a fraction of the cost. Narcissism vindicates King Barack the First when
he compensates his supporters with taxpayer provided stimulus cash while praising his administration's
exemplary ethics.
King Obama? [Scroll
down] He is a narcissist of the highest order.
Obama Administration
takes victory lap in clown car. It's been less than 72 hours since President Barack Obama announced
that U.S. Special Forces "a small team of Americans" had killed Osama Bin Laden.
Since then, his administration has been hard at work screwing the whole thing up. Let's start with that speech
Sunday night. It was originally announced for 10:30 but didn't happen until 11:30. By that time, the news Obama
was supposed to be breaking had broken already. Not the best start. Presumably he was delayed arguing with his
speechwriters about keeping in all the "I," "Me," and "Mine." Everything having to do with this raid was "I"; anything
that could be attributed to the Bush administration was "We." "I gave the order, I did this, I did that."
My Recurring
Obama 'Dream'. Can you imagine how insufferable President Obama would be about his record in
office if he actually had abundant positive accomplishments? Have we ever seen a starker contrast
between a politician's record and his self-assessment of it? It's not as though the president just
avoids or downplays his failures. It's more like he showcases them, but only after completely revising
history to put his actions in a favorable light.
Obama's
troubled personal relations with foreign leaders. [Scroll down] Americans should not be too
surprised. After all, he has treated the leaders of several of our closest allies with
disdain — including the former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and, of course, Israeli's
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — having him enter the White House through an obscure doorway
and later rudely walking out of a meeting with him so he could have dinner with the First Lady.
The Dalai Lama was also all but ignored during a visit to the White House.
Obama
Brags 'I Have Better Plane' And 'Bigger Entourage' Than Three Years Ago. Imagine a Republican
president giving a speech on tough economic times in which he claimed that the plight of Americans who are
hurting is what is on his mind every day as he walks to the Oval Office. Imagine that same Republican
president, in that same speech, bragging that he has "a better plane" and "a bigger entourage" than when he
was a candidate. Now imagine the howls from the MSM about such president's vainglory and insensitivity.
Barack Obama is a Bad
Man. [Scroll down] Barack Obama is one of these bad people. He's dishonest,
narcissistic, and pinning him down can be like nailing jello to the wall. He's all things to all
people, but he is no one — an empty vessel. He uses people and then disposes of them when
it's expedient. His grandmother, his spiritual mentor, anyone who becomes an inconvenience is thrown
under the now infamous bus. He is adept at mockery and ridicule. His arrogance is legendary.
His skin is decidedly thin and he cannot bear to be contradicted or challenged. He works, not for the
American People but, for himself.
Obama's
Journey Through Vanity Fair. At one point I thought it could be attributed to an unusual degree
of cynicism, but now I wonder if it goes deeper than that. What I have in mind is President Obama's obsession
with portraying himself as our moral superior. ... Obama, according to Obama, is quite simply better, much
better, than those around him. He is a man of pure motives and unparalleled reasonableness, extraordinary
intellectual depth, and unsurpassed seriousness. Others are driven by narrow self-interest, by the
political calendar, by outside pressures. They are too ignorant or too weak to do the right thing,
the good thing, the hard thing. Not Obama.
Barack's Bankruptcy/Birthday
Bash. After struggling with noncompliant Republicans over the debt-ceiling debate, in what appears
to be an effort to soothe his "agitated" self, President Obama has scheduled a high-priced 50th birthday bash
in honor of the day he graced the planet with his greatness. ... Barack's Birthday Bonanza has been scheduled
for August 4th — the day after the United States of America is due to officially downshift from the
black into the red. ... The elaborate Chicago event will serve as an all-in-one Obama 2012 campaign fundraiser,
concert, and birthday celebration.
Now that his
incompetence is obvious, Obama should resign. Mr. Obama is the most arrogant, self-absorbed
and self-obsessed president in U.S. history. Nothing is ever his fault. He blames everyone and
everything for America's economic woes — Tea Partyers, Wall Street, Japanese earthquakes, insurance
executives, oil companies, millionaires and corporate jet owners. He lashes out at imaginary
enemies without ever taking personal responsibility. In his mind, he is — and always
will be — the Anointed One.
Why Can't Obama Be Like Tito?
What does accountability really mean to Obama? Taking the fall for his own disastrous presidency?
Acting upon his own incompetence and destructive leadership? Obama has blamed ATMs, the Japan earthquake,
oil companies, bankers, insurance companies, Wall Street traders, greedy millionaires, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh
and right-wing radio, the Tea Party, and of course inveterate racism from ordinary Americans. Underlying
all of these roadblocks to Obama's triumphant legacy are Republicans — intransigent, do-nothing,
unpatriotic hyper-partisans, interested only in acquiring power at the expense of the nation.
Is Obama
Smart? When it comes to piloting, Barack Obama seems to think he's the political equivalent
of Charles Lindbergh, Chuck Yeager and — in a "Fly Me to the Moon" sort of way — Nat
King Cole rolled into one. "I think I'm a better speech writer than my speech writers," he reportedly
told an aide in 2008. "I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors.
And I'll tell you right now that I'm ... a better political director than my political director."
Obama Vacay: In Your
Facemanship. If the Obamas insist on spending two weeks in an enclave noted for the rich and
famous, especially while the nation's unemployment rate hovers at just over 9%, then the least they could do
is exhibit a modicum of restraint, and try to be as modest and discreet as possible. Instead, Michelle
Obama, renowned for her impatience when it comes to reaching her desired destination, put thousands of
additional dollars on the taxpayers' tab, "so she could have just a bit of extra vacation" — all
of four hours' worth.
Obama Selects Psalm at
Ground Zero Enabling Him to Proclaim 'I am God'. As [Aaron I.] Reichel
points out: "Members of the clergy were not permitted to speak at the ceremony, but
one of the most politically partisan and unpopular presidents of our time was permitted to
speak not just in the name of God but to declare that he IS God! How many other U.S.
presidents, let alone monarchs governing by "divine right" or by any other mandate, have declared
on international television and radio in a ceremony widely watched and heard around the
world, 'I am God?'"
The Player and
the President. [Scroll down] During the nationally broadcast 9/11 ceremony from
New York, President Obama stood there in a Bill Clinton pose — his nose perched high in the
air — seemingly unmoved even as others wept and bowed their heads in prayer. It was a
troubling and incongruous posture for the leader of a nation commemorating the worst terrorist attack
in American history. ... He stood through most of the ceremony gazing off into the blue, as if he
were some kind of grandee above it all.
Obama's
Misadventures in Miscommunication. As a communications professional, my assessment of the
Obama Administration's communications strategy is that it may be the most inept performance I have ever
seen of any political regime. ... How does it look to the regular folks, as Bill O'Reilly calls us, when
unemployment is still over 9%, folks are losing their homes, and Mr. Obama says he'll present a big new jobs
bill ... after he returns from vacation? Sure, everyone needs a vacation, but what message does
it send? My vacation is more important than you people.
Obama's State of Mind.
If there is one thing we know about Obama, it is he views the advancement of his interests as synonymous with the
right ordering of the universe. Call it an inflated sense of self-importance and an extreme preoccupation
with himself. Call it narcissism.
Obama
reads children book about himself. Before his speech Tuesday [10/4/2011] at Eastfield College in
Mesquite, Texas, President Obama stopped by an early childhood education laboratory to read to children ages
3 to 5. Among his reading selections: A book about the presidential dog Bo, including
a drawing of the president himself.
Obama's
Target List. Lecturing, demonizing, and caricaturing are not just symptoms of narcissism or
being socially dense, but are also a revelation that Obama feels that he can say almost anything he wants,
with the expectation — always borne out in the past — of few consequences. Still,
his handlers worry about this habit, which explains both the serial use of teleprompted scripts even for the
briefest of commentary and the almost lightning response from the White House, either that the latest target
had it coming, or that the president's critics themselves were suspect in noticing such insults, or that the
remarks were meant only in jest.
Obama
gives donors the gift of giving to Obama. President Obama's campaign operation hit upon a new
fundraising pitch "this holiday season," as they've asked supporters to make a campaign donation "inspired"
by somebody else. "This holiday season," Obama's campaign announced today, "you can give to the 2012
campaign because of someone else — maybe a friend or family member."
Obama's Mount Gushmore.
Let's all grant that the White House does not attract many shrinking violets. Most of its occupants have
had healthy self-esteem, to put it mildly. But what we have now may be the most egotistic presidency we
have seen. Bragging about "legislative achievements" but not daring to say what those achievements
were — ObamaCare, the failed stimulus, bailouts for big donors like Solyndra — and then
claiming that you are doing it all for the embattled middle class is the act of an amazing ego.
Obama's Faith Problem.
Our President is much like the fellow Narcissus, who, according to legend, was so in love with himself that he
stared endlessly at his own reflection. Obama is a man quite full of himself and recently told Americans
that he views himself as fourth on the list of great American Presidents — a surprising list that
doesn't include George Washington.
Obama's Childish Playacting:
You might think that nearly three years of shooting air balls would cause Obama and his aides to stay away from
comparisons to [Michael] Jordan and [LeBron] James, as well as to FDR and Lincoln. ("I would put our legislative
and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible
exceptions of Johnson, FDR, and Lincoln," Obama told "60 Minutes." The use of the word "possible" is
priceless.) But you would be wrong. The Obama cult of personality, with a touch of narcissistic
personality disorder, goes on. And you can count on one thing: If Obama is defeated in 2012, his
narrative will be that we the American people were not worthy of the Great and Mighty Obama.
Why the Left Fears You:
The only trouble with Obama's phony humility is that narcissists like him rarely change. The Norwegians
gave him a Nobel Peace Prize just for getting elected, but they should have given him an Academy Award. This
is world-class conmanship. Behind the scenes he's more arrogant than ever.
Barack
Obama, the most arrogant US president in decades. In December Barack Obama vainly declared himself
the fourth best president in American history, up there with the likes of Abraham Lincoln and FDR, just three
years into his first term. ... Perhaps this display of self-importance is not surprising, coming from a president
who enthusiastically accepted the Nobel Peace Prize after just a few months in the job, and even campaigned thousands
of miles across the Atlantic in Berlin while running for office. This is a leader who thinks nothing of
taking a $4 million, taxpayer-subsidised vacation in Hawaii — nearly 100 times the average
annual salary of an American worker, which currently stands at $41,673.
The Cry-Baby in Chief. [In
The Obamas, by New York Times columnist Jodi Kantor,] Barack Obama comes off as a man with deep
personal issues, manifested in a supreme self-centeredness and tremendous insecurity. He is emotionally
fragile, unable to stand criticism, and bewildered by dissent. ... Sensitivity is fine and dandy, but all too
often, it comes along with serious insecurities of narcissism. That's clearly the case with Obama, who
apparently surrounds himself with women who overpower him (Michelle, Valerie Jarrett?), then bullies everyone
else. That self-centeredness translates into an obsession with power, even when it is exercised in
absolute trivialities.
Now We Know Who Was
Right about Obama. We now know that our charming president has a narcissism problem. ... He takes
criticism badly, has little empathy for others, and suffers from envy. In fact, envy is his one great leadership
ambition. He wants the whole country to operate on envy instead of hard work. A pathological narcissist,
Obama has no capacity to learn, because he cannot admit mistakes.
Here's your post-partisan president at work: Obama the promise breaker.
From the start, the president insisted 2011 would be a bipartisan year. "What comes of this moment will be
determined not by whether we can sit together tonight, but whether we can work together tomorrow." The happy
feelings didn't last long. By October, the campaigner in chief sunk to challenging the intelligence of people
who disagree with him. At a stemwinder in Asheville, N.C., Mr. Obama insisted he had to break his jobs
bill into "bite-size pieces" because Republicans "just couldn't understand the whole all at once."
Obama's Social Justice
Capitalism. Certainly the Obama administration will stoop to anything to get votes for the next
election. The latest outrageous example is using the U.S. Export-Import bank (taxpayer-funded) to channel
funds to attract business to the swing states of North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, and Virginia. So, yes,
from crony capitalism to vote-buying capitalism, the Obama administration will use any siphoning of taxpayer
funds to pump capital where it sees political advantage. But to leave it at that —
self-interest — is to miss the narcissistic sense of moral superiority.
Thou Shalt Not
Write Bad Things About Obama. Evidently our president did not appreciate something [Arizona governor Jan]
Brewer wrote about him. According to the pool report, they had a testy exchange from which the president walked
away as Brewer was still speaking. Sound familiar? Bobby Jindal got the same treatment when Obama came to
visit Louisiana and the governor met him on the tarmac.
"We have had egotistical presidents before,
but never to my knowledge have we had one who saw himself as replacing God." Obama's abuse of scripture.
Many of us who are biblical scholars have watched Mr. Obama's use, or should I say abuse, of the Bible with dismay.
Who can forget when he gave a speech mocking the ceremonial law of the Old Testament then saying something to the
effect of, "How can you govern by the Sermon on the Mount?" Well, he did it again at the National Prayer
Breakfast on Thursday. I never understood that name since very little prayer, if any, takes place.
Instead, perhaps it should be called the National Breakfast Gathering.
President Self-Pity.
There is a remarkable capacity for self pity in this administration. ... If you look around your life, looking for
signs that you are blessed and unimaginably lucky, you will find those signs. If you look around your life,
looking for signs that you have drawn the short end of the stick, that you're being unfairly denied, that forces
are conspiring against you, and that you always have it rougher than everyone else — well, chances are,
you'll be able to find those signs, too.
Why
Barack Obama is the vanity president. Barack Obama is the vanity president — the
antithesis of Ronald Reagan, a great and humble leader who saw his office as a servant of the American people
and the Constitution, and not as a podium from which sing his own praises. With historic levels of
unemployment, a depressed housing market, the largest budget deficits since the Second World War, and an additional
$4.2 trillion of debt since Obama came to power, the president could do with a dose of humility.
President Put-Down. Barack Obama has had one
passion that has been consistent over the years: himself. His healthy self-regard is well-known by now. From the
omnipresent posters of his jutting face to the spectacle of the Democratic National Convention with Styrofoam Greek columns to the
disgraceful alteration of the official presidential seal during the 2008 campaign to his constant presence on our airwaves, we know
that this is a man with a hunger for the spotlight. But Obama's ego needs more than the worship of others. His ego also
needs the boost that comes from insulting and denigrating others and rubbing in their faces how well he has fared compared to them.
Who Shrank The President? Mr. Obama's
greatest attribute, his unfamiliarity, is now gone. He is no longer an unknown shaped by the wishes, wants, and imagination of the
public. He is inconvenienced by reality. He is known and has a track record. Unfortunately for Mr. Obama, it is replete
with stumbles. He is arrogant to a fault and a narcissist. These may be his good qualities.
Obama, the Court, and Primo
Carnera. Obama's remark is the kind of bullying tactic we've come to expect from him — the only way he
knows how to react to any real or potential discomfiture. And that's because this is a man who has never heard the word
"no." All along his glide path to power, as he was handed off from one enabler to another, he's been told he's the kindest,
bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being anyone has ever known, and he erupts in petulant frustration when reality intrudes
upon his narcissistic fantasy.
What Happened to Black Pride?
If Obama were a basketball player, he would be the equivalent of the guy who couldn't inbound the ball or constantly
double-dribbles. He's the guy to whom you just quit passing the ball; because when he gets the ball, he always
shoots and always misses.
Video: It's Never Obama's Fault. Even as an
ardent Obama opponent, I half cringe while watching these sorts of clips; witnessing an elected official hang himself politically with his own rhetorical
rope is, well, wince-inducing.
Obama:
excuses rather than responsibility for his failed policies. This is one more example of Obama saying one thing
while doing another or trying to have things both ways. He says he is "not gonna make excuses," but continues to do
so. As Salena Zito put it in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Obama has blamed the stagnant economy on ATMs, ditches,
slurpees, corporate-jet owners, the TEA Party, Republicans, Japan's earthquake, the Arab spring, the Arab summer, George
Bush, and Wall Street.
American Narcissus, Ctd.. President Obama gave a shout-out
to President Obama during a surprise visit to Afghanistan on Tuesday [5/1/2012]. Speaking to American troops gathered at Bagram
Air Base, the president called out the names of several military units "in the house" — who cheered upon hearing their
name — before adding: "And we've got me in the house."
Obama Gives Himself Shout-Out At
Bagram Airbase. Speaking to troops at Bagram Airbase, Obama began doing his usual campaign routine of giving shout-outs
to various members of the audience. He gives shout-outs to two task forces — "We've got Task Force Paladin in the house!"
The soldiers cheer loudly. He continues, "We've got Task Force Defender in the house!" The soldiers give a rowdy "Hooah!"
Then, impressed with his own bravery for being at the Airbase, Obama says, "And we've got me in the house." Halfhearted
applause follows. Awkward!
George Will: If you strike
first-person pronouns from Obama's vocabulary 'he would fall silent'. On Sunday's [5/6/2012] "This Week" on ABC, Washington Post columnist George Will
offered his theory on why Obama might be struggling this go-around. "Look, self-absorption is part of the occupational hazard of politics, and it's also part
of the job description of being president," Will said. "All that said, try to imagine Dwight Eisenhower talking about D-Day saying, 'I did this. I decided
this. I did this and then I did that.' It's inconceivable."
Obama's 'likeability' fading fast. One of America's
premier liberal columnists, Richard Cohen of the Washington Post, has written a surprising column, lecturing Obama about his failure to build important political
relationships, contrasted with the master of political power in DC, LBJ. The subtext, unmistakably, is that this guy is not very nice, and people around
him are catching on.
Presidential Narcissism.
Unfortunately, the latest triumphalism is a continuance of a long line of self-adulation that we have grown accustomed to in Barack Obama
since he came to the public's attention — the professor's two memoirs without a single commensurate scholarly publication; the
Latinate motto; the faux-Greek columns; the biblical quelling of the rising seas and cooling of the planet; the fallback retreat to the
Victory Column when questions were raised about the appropriateness of the Brandenburg Gate as a venue for his speech; and so on.
The common characteristics in Obama's I/me/my career have been such rhetorical, visual, and symbolic efforts to mask an absence of accomplishment.
Narcissism update: Obama now asserts nation's
troops 'fighting on my behalf'. It's a stunner, even for The Aloof One. President Obama openly states his belief that members of the American military
stationed in dangerous places around the world are fighting for him. And the national interest? Here's what he said: "When I think about those
soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf..." And so many of us thought the U.S. military was protecting all Americans.
Obama Inserts Himself in White House
Bios of Past Presidents. The White House website has always featured biographies of past presidents. The biographies are
largely designed for students, so they can research the history of the White House occupants; the text is taken from The Presidents of the
United States of America, by Michael Beschloss and Hugh Sidey. Now, however, President Obama has decided that those other presidential
biographies weren't complete without a sentence about him. Seriously. As it turns out, all past presidents are just a window
into President Obama's grand accomplishments.
Obama drops his name into the other
Presidential biographies. The Heritage Foundation's Rory Cooper tweeted that Obama had casually dropped his own name into Ronald
Reagan's official biography on www.whitehouse.gov, claiming credit for taking up the mantle of Reagan's tax reform advocacy with his "Buffett
Rule" gimmick. My first thought was, he must be joking. But he wasn't — it turns out Obama has added bullet points
bragging about his own accomplishments to the biographical sketches of every single U.S. president since Calvin Coolidge (except, for some reason,
Gerald Ford). Here are a few examples.
White House Augments Presidential Bios With
Obama Trivia. On Monday [5/14/2012], aides to President Obama added blurbs to the end of the presidential biographies on the White House website,
augmenting the work of historians Michael Beschloss and Hugh Sidey with references to the current president that are something less than scholarship. The
changes were first noticed — and commented upon — by Seth Mandel at Commentary. The president's opponents used the additions to tweak
the president's famously healthy ego, sparking top ten lists and the Republican National Committee's "Obama In History" tumblr account, which depicts the
president as part of other historical events, such as the moon landing and the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
President Me. The Tea Party movement could have become a third party,
but it didn't. The combined wisdom of its leaders and members realized that the way to change the government at all levels was to elect people who were in
agreement with its core principles of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets. Initially, the Tea Party movement grew
from two people to 1.2 million in two months. On April 15, 2009, they turned out for 850 Tea Party events around the nation.
Today the authors estimate that 20 million Americans identify themselves as Tea Party patriots.
President Diva. This week, journalist Seth Mandel discovered that
President Obama had authorized his staff to add his name to the biographies of former presidents from Calvin Coolidge to George W. Bush on the White House
website. [...] All other presidents, apparently, were just placeholders until The Big Fella arrived. This massive sense of ego has led Obama to the
inevitable conclusion that his is the only opinion that matters. If he is the culmination of Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy and Dwight D.
Eisenhower, then he is also the culmination of all moral thought for the last several thousand years.
Narcissism update:
Obama now inserts himself into online bios of past presidents. Imagine the emotional insecurities of a grown man who would have henchman
find and gratuitously insert even the faintest link between this 44th president and almost every president back to Calvin Coolidge — "On Feb. 22,
1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people.....President Obama became the first president to hold
virtual gatherings and town halls."
Top 10 Obama ties to history. Earlier this week it was discovered that
on the White House website, President Barack Obama had been inserted into each and every presidential biography dating back to Calvin Coolidge with the curious
exception of Gerald Ford. For instance, the White House biography of Franklin Delano Roosevelt notes, "On August 14, 1935, President Roosevelt signed
the Social Security Act. Today the Obama administration continues to protect seniors and ensure Social Security will be there for future generations."
The Daily Caller has since discovered other historical sketches the president has been written into.
Obama makes history - up. Word broke this week that the
Obama administration amended White House website biographies of most of the 20th century's presidents to include information touting President Obama's
supposed accomplishments. The additions are contained in a "Do you know?" section at the end of each bio entry. And do you know?
It is turning out to be another major public-relations disaster. [...] The ceaseless propagandizing is disgraceful. Citizens expect the
history-themed pages of the White House website to be like the White House itself, reflecting a shared national heritage and off-limits from
politics.
A presidential chameleon re-writes White House history. Ahhhh, the
remarkable life of Barack Obama. As told by — Barack Obama. Who can forget the moment when he first ate a dog? His startling
confession that he had pushed a girl? Or his confession of how he would get through the day: "Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow
when you could afford it..." America's first drug-abusing president. What a memory.
A few weeks later...
White House
Quietly Moves Obama-Praising Text from Past Presidents' Bios. A month ago, the President had his tech team add a little something to a
host of past presidents' biographies on the official White House website, raising eyebrows across the country. [...] In an admission that they
overstepped propriety — now that the outrage has died down — the White House web team has gone back into these pages and
pulled the Obama horn tooting out of the bio proper and put them in a separate area.
Is Obama Imploding? Can you imagine having a "fireside
chat" with Barack Obama? Brrr.... The incumbent is a petulant, defensive narcissist, not someone with the humanity, humility or the
experience to lead us out of dark days. Most people know this. More and more they are allowing themselves to admit it.
Soon this may be a deluge.
Barack Obama's 15 Minutes of Fame. The key is the
word "celebrity." Thanks to Barack Obama, the U.S. presidency now has less and less to do with competence and leadership and more and more to do with
that elusive word whose definition changes with each degrading instance of its redefinition downward in the media. We have a cool president who
hobnobs with the ladies of The View and slow jams the news with comedian Jimmy Fallon. The key to these appearances? The people
hosting them have risen to stardom despite having done nothing of substance in their lives.
Obamateurism of the Day. If you think life is tough, Chicagoans, just
consider the hard life of ... Barack Obama. Angry that the NATO conference tied up traffic for hours? That's nothing, says President Obama.
Why, he had it so tough that he had to stay at a five-star hotel.
Obama: A Legend in His Own Mind.
This is a president who has an exalted view of himself and he frequently reminds Americans of how truly great he sees himself.
The Consequences of Obama's Conceit.
Mark down the president's Memorial Day speech as another solemn occasion this administration has gratingly managed to politicize.
[...] The White House's pomposity is the flip side of Obama's long-incubated self-pity, which holds that no president since
the 1930s has had things as rough as this one has.
Barack Obama's Stolen Valor. It is
already a matter of record that Mr. Obama has referred to our men and women in uniform as "photo opportunities," with the specific words
"You guys make a pretty good photo op." Past presidents have doubtless praised our service members for defending the country,
but it is doubtful that any president, especially one with his own service record (e.g., Theodore Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Dwight
Eisenhower, or either Bush) ever called our troops a "photo op."
Export Natural Gas to Create Jobs.
Apparently, the president thinks his job is more important than those of the 25 million Americans who are now unemployed or
underemployed, or who have given up looking for work. While Obama flies off to Hawaii for beach vacations at public expense,
these workers literally do not know where their next meal is coming from. Millions have already lost their homes, millions
are in default or foreclosure, and, according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, an additional shadow inventory of
3.6 million distressed homes now exists. Forty-five million Americans are now subsisting on food stamps. But when
the president has the chance to put 750,000 of them to work almost immediately by signing a single piece of paper, he puts his own
self-interest first.
Obama Thinks the World of Himself.
Although President Obama has a great deal to be modest about, modesty is not amongst his strong suits. Obama is about as well
acquainted with modesty as Casanova was with monogamy. It could be said that the only thing that has grown faster in the past
three and a half years than the size of the federal government and the federal deficit would be President Obama's ego.
Obama's
Memorial Day Photo-Op Blocks Families, Vets from Vietnam Memorial for 7 Hours. Obama's secret service shut down the memorial
for most of the day, as families and veterans who had come to pay their respects to fallen loved ones were forced to stay hundreds of feet
away. Why? So that the Narcissist-in-Chief could show up for 15-minute speech and photo-op with his carefully selected
fans in the audience.
Priebus: Obama Just Loves the Sound of His Own
Voice. President Barack Obama makes the same speech over and over again because he just likes to hear himself speak, Republican
National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus told Newsmax.TV on Friday [6/15/2012]. "He's in love with the sound of his own voice; he's
in love with the man in the mirror," charged Priebus, citing what was supposed to be a major policy speech that the president gave in Cleveland
on Thursday.
Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist. The narcissist:
• Feels grandiose and self-important (e.g., exaggerates accomplishments, talents, skills, contacts, and
personality traits to the point of lying, demands to be recognised as superior without commensurate achievements);
• Is obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success, fame, fearsome power or omnipotence, unequalled
brilliance (the cerebral narcissist), bodily beauty or sexual performance (the somatic narcissist), or ideal, everlasting,
all-conquering love or passion;
• Firmly convinced that he or she is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be
treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people (or institutions);
• Requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation — or, failing that, wishes to be
feared and to be notorious (Narcissistic Supply).
Dr. Sam Vaknin Claims Obama Suffers from
Narcissism. "He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident — a wholesome presidential package. I was
put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling.
His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. Obama's speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in
American history. Never a politician in this land had such quasi "religious" impact on so many people. The fact that Obama is a
total incognito with zero accomplishment makes this inexplicable infatuation alarming. Obama is not an ordinary man. He is not a
genius. In fact he is quite ignorant on most important subjects." Barack Obama is a narcissist.
Obama, Oprah, and the Guru: Malignant Narcissism.
Grandiosity, more than anything else, is what characterizes Obama's character and campaign. Grandiosity is also, more than anything else,
what characterizes narcissism, and Obama's narcissism has become obvious to many.
'I,' 'Me' — Obama Uses
First-Person Pronoun 117 Times in 1 Speech. Speaking in Sandusky, Ohio on July 5, President Barack Obama used the
first-person pronouns "I" and "me" a combined 117 times in a speech that lasted about 25 minutes and 32 seconds.
Obama used "I" 98 times and "me" 19 times, according to a transcript of the speech posted by the White House.
I, President. This week, President Obama gave a
25 minute speech in which he used the personal pronouns "I" and "me" some 117 times. He preferred "I" to "me" by
a margin of 98 to 19. It's not uncommon for presidents to use first person pronouns in speeches. President
Bush did it often enough. But Obama's stampede of "I's" and "me's" is unprecedented in its quantity. The President
clearly has a high opinion of himself. That's a problem. Americans don't tend to like leaders whose narcissism is out
of control. That's because those leaders tend toward the authoritarian and the imperial. They like executive orders
and top-down control.
Obama Edits Official State Department
Documents to Tout Himself. Inserting himself into the biographies of past presidents on the White House website apparently wasn't enough for President
Obama. His State Department is now editing its descriptions of foreign countries into yet another taxpayer-subsidized campaign commercial for the Obama
Administration.
Obama and the Other Side of Imperialism.
Among other peculiar things about the Obama White House, we just found out that El Presidente can't be called by his first name, except by three or four
special intimates. It all adds to the imperious pose of this White House. Mr. Obama is a man of destiny, we are told, like Napoleon or Karl Marx.
The bottom-dwelling press has sold its very soul to make Americans believe that. Still, he needs to hear a lot of "Mister Presidents" from his
followers. Apparently he loves it. Pretty trivial, maybe, but little things add up.
State Dept now inserting Obama hosannas in "Fact
Sheets"? First, hosannas to Barack Obama began appearing in the presidential biographies of his predecessors on the official White House website.
Now, Heritage Foundation's Amy Payne has discovered that the State Department has begun inserting hosannas to the boss in their new "Fact Sheets" of countries
around the world. Is the Obama administration attempting to build a cult of personality, or just create the jobs necessary to clean up official
government websites of his electioneering after January?
Obama:
'Very Rare I Come to an Event Where I'm Like the Fifth or Sixth Most Interesting Person'. This evening at the president's "NBA
heroes" fundraiser in New York City, featuring Michael Jordan and Carmelo Anthony, Barack Obama was star struck. "It is very rare I come to
an event where I'm like the fifth or sixth most interesting person," President Obama said, according to the pool report. "Usually the
folks want to take a picture with me, sit next to me, talk to me. That has not been the case at this event and I completely understand."
Barack Obama actually said
this. Barack Obama has become accustomed to being the center of attention. For many like him, that's one of the biggest appeals of
politics, the television exposure it attracts and the power that seems to come with that instant recognition and fame.
To Honor Neil Armstrong,
Obama Posts Photo of Himself. The thing that most bothers me about Barack Obama is his unearned narcissism. His smugness and
arrogance are beyond the ability of science to measure. I don't mind someone being a bit cocky or even arrogant, IF they have the
accomplishments and achievements to back up the attitude. Obama's greatest achievement, though, is creating his own personal narrative.
He is his own personal touchstone. Even when honoring a great American hero, Obama can't help but thrust himself into the event.
Obama's
'Confident Ignorance' At Root Of His Failure. After reading Barack Obama's book "Dreams from My Father," it became
painfully clear that he has not been searching for the truth, because he assumed from an early age that he had already found the
truth — and now it was just a question of filling in the details and deciding how to change things. Obama did not
simply happen to encounter a lot of people on the far-left fringe during his life. As he spells out in his book, he actively
sought out such people. There is no hint of the slightest curiosity on his part about other visions of the world that might be
weighed against the vision he had seized upon. [...] What would be the point, if he already knew the truth and knew that they were
wrong?
Rains wash away Mount Obama in
Charlotte, N.C. A torrential downpour that struck Charlotte Saturday afternoon [9/1/2012] damaged the Mount Rushmore-style sand
sculpture bust of President Obama — an ominous beginning to what many fear is a plagued convention. [...] The large
Rushmore-style sculpture drew comparisons to Mr. Obama's 2008 convention in Denver, when he accepted his party's nomination on a
stage that looked like a Greek temple.
The Editor says...
I sure hope it was a unionized mine, and I hope the sand was trucked in by the Teamsters. It would be a shame if something bad happened
to Mount Obama.
Doing just fine: Sand Obama intact despite rumors of
demolition for 'security reasons'. We're awaiting confirmation from the @SandObama Twitter account, who last posted 21 hours ago from his giant litter box
outside the EpiCenter in Charlotte, N.C., where he'll simultaneously greet and creep out delegates to the Democratic National Convention.
The Competitor in Chief. As Election Day approaches,
President Obama is sharing a few important things about himself. He has mentioned more than once in recent weeks that he cooks "a really mean chili." He has impressive
musical pitch, he told an Iowa audience. He is "a surprisingly good pool player," he informed an interviewer — not to mention (though he does) a doodler of unusual
skill.
Narcissist-in-Chief: Obama Most Cited Term in Dem Platform.
Platforms are where the national parties lay out their guiding philosophical and policy positions on the major issues of the day. They are meant to suggest
where the party will move the country's policies if they are entrusted with the responsibility. This year's Democrat platform, however, is different.
The collective voice of millions of Democrats across the country have been reduced to "whatever Obama says." Barack Obama is the most cited term in the
Democrat platform. Out of the 40 pages that make up the platform, Obama is cited by name on 38 of them.
Is Our President a Bit of a
Jerk? At law school, few people knew Barack Obama really well, and I wasn't one of them, although we did have some
dealings when we overlapped The Harvard Law Review. But in the run up to the convention, it's clear that there are people
who have had extensive dealings with him — and they don't like him very much. Two themes have emerged from news
coverage in the last two days, and they are revealing: (1) He's selfish. [...] (2) He's arrogant.
Obama's
Democrats Telegraph Obama's Campaign. America does not need for [sic] more years of an in-over-his-head whiner; a
petulant egomaniac who does not seem to understand the most basic of economic principles and who is a lousy negotiator to boot.
Narcissist in chief: Obama leads march of the 'Me'
generation. He authorized himself to declare martial law. He inserted himself into other presidents'
bios. He honored Neil Armstrong's passing with a photo of himself. In short, President Obama's ego knows
no bounds.
DNC 2012: Our neurotic and
narcissistic president speaks. While a neurotic president is dangerous enough, Barack Obama is also a quintessential narcissist. The
literature states that narcissists tend to display several characteristics, all of which the president has nailed. For one, narcissists believe that
they are unique. It was the entire rationale for Obama's presidential candidacy. He believed, and probably continues to believe, that he alone
could heal America, bring the parties together, take the middle ground on all issues, and even slow the rise of the oceans. Narcissists believe they
are superior to other people, and they have dreams about gaining power and prestige.
Sununu:
Obama "Most Arrogant, Self-Centered And Incompetent" President In My Life. Speaking to Talk Radio Host Paul Westcott,
[John Sununu] slammed the President for "skipping 60% of his security breifings", called him "the most arrogant, self centered and
incompetent President of his lifetime" and praised Mitt Romney for condemning the US embassy's statement apologizing to muslims.
Obama's Intelligence Failure. Obama is
famous — or notorious — for his high opinion of his own capabilities. [...] So, as Mark Theissen points out, it's
probably not a surprise that he also doesn't figure he needs intelligence briefings, preferring instead to read the Presidential Daily
Brief.
Barry Trails Off ... President Obama likes to be
alone. When he speaks at rallies, he doesn't want the stage cluttered with other officeholders. When he rides in his limo, he isn't
prone to give local pols a lift. He wants to feel that he doesn't owe his ascension to anyone else — not a rich daddy, not a
spouse or father who was president, not even those who helped at pivotal moments.
The Editor says...
This New York Times opinion writer never did say, "Ha Ha - just kidding!" anywhere in the opinion piece above,
so apparently she really believes that President Obama prefers to be alone. In my opinion, she has misinterpreted
the signals: It is apparent to me that no other
politician wants to be seen with this President. On the other hand, he might actually be so self-centered that he
wouldn't want to offer anyone else a lift in his car. Either way, he is a loser.
Obama Tweets Photo
of Himself with Life-Size Obama Cardboard Cutout. On a day when Hillary Clinton fell on her sword and took "responsibility" for the lack of
security in Libya, President Barack Obama's Twitter account frivolously tweeted a picture with his arm around a life-size cardboard cutout of himself.
Me, Myself & I. It's not unknown for
presidents to have a high opinion of themselves, but few would offer up an elocution — before a national television
audience — conflating themselves with the nation. Yes, perhaps just a sloppy choice of words. Except this
president repeatedly fosters the idea that the world thinks better of America merely because of his presence at the helm.
Obama Just Does Not Like People Very Much.
Many Americans find repellent a president who condescends to them, patronizes them, scolds and berates them. Such a president does not show that he
cares about them. Despite hagiographic media coverage in the 2008 campaign and beyond, Barack Obama is being perceived as such a man by a large
number of Americans.
Obama's Teary-Eyed Speech. I can't help but
be dismayed by the blossoming of Obama's narcissism when he gets tears in his eyes addressing his Chicago staff. "I'm really proud of all of you."
I mean, that's a good start. But his pride and sanctioning imply a grandiose self-love. What he's really proud of is his minions celebrating him
and loving him. He is really proud of them being proud of him.
Obama presidential library campaign
begins. It's a chance for Obama to begin shaping his legacy, and has in the past been an increasingly large priority during
presidents' second terms.
Obama Has to Fib Even at a Funeral.
Yes, everything is about Barack Obama. From the beginning, he has built his career on his own personal story, and the funeral service of former
Hawaiian Senator Daniel Inouye at the National Cathedral on Friday apparently struck him as an opportune time to remind the world what
that story was. [...] The problem, however, is not just that Obama used the word "my" 21 times, "me" 12 times, and "I" 30 times in
the course of telling his story, but rather that even at a funeral, he could not keep the story straight.
Obama and Bush Eulogies: The
Grotesque and the Graceful. President Obama has a very serious ego problem, and when he goes off teleprompter, it sticks out like a sore
thumb. His eulogy for Senator Inouye on Friday was grotesque in its focus on the speaker, not the dearly departed.
Today
We Are Gathered ... To Hear More About Me. Someone needs to tell Barack Obama — it must get particularly confusing this time of
year — that his own birth is not Year One, the date around which all other events are understood. His much-noted, self-referential tic
was on cringe-worthy display Friday when the president gave his eulogy for the late Sen. Daniel Inouye, who served in Congress for half a century
representing Obama's birth state of Hawaii.
Obama Uses Funeral Service to Talk About
Himself. President Barack Obama used the funeral for Hawaii senator Daniel Inouye to talk about himself. In the short 1,600 word
speech, Obama used the word "my" 21 times, "me" 12 times, and "I" 30 times. Obama's speech discussed how Inouye had gotten him
interested in politics. "Danny was elected to the U.S. Senate when I was two years old," he said.
Grotesque Obama eulogy for Sen. Inouye.
Signs are accumulating that re-election has aggravated an already serious ego problem for Barack Obama. His eulogy for Senator Daniel Inouye
yesterday shocked even some people favorably inclined toward the president, for its focus not on the departed, but on Barack Obama himself.
The president's Obama-centric view of the world. The president said three revealing things
in his last two press conferences that say much about his state of mind. His own ego and arrogance are on vivid display, but no one is talking
about it.
Our President's Lincoln
Presumption. He swore his oath of office on Abraham Lincoln's Bible. He has asked to give the State of the Union
address on Lincoln's birthday. He rode to Washington in 2009 on a train route similar to Lincoln's in 1861. He has compared
his critics to Lincoln's critics. He confides to admirers that he likes to read the handwritten Gettysburg address that hangs in the
Lincoln bedroom. Barack Obama is inviting the world to compare him not just to good presidents but to the greatest in American history.
President
Obama's gun law diversion. Television's History channel is running an outstanding series about each and every one of our
presidents. Nowhere in that has there been evidence of a Chief Executive with less character, lower standards, fewer morals,
greater incompetence, a more dangerous socio-political agenda, and yet with increasingly arrogant, personal ambition and ego than
those of President Barrack Hussein Obama.
Arrogance and Overreach. When politicians,
regardless of party, are no longer accountable to the voters they tend to do extremely arrogant things, they tend to overreach badly,
and they tend to collapse. Barack Obama is, going into his second term, already one of the most arrogant politicians in America.
Second Inaugural Blues. To begin with, it is not only
Obama's second inaugural of the past four years, but his second inaugural in as many days. Obama, of course, was formally sworn in on Sunday at the White
House. But his actual address and the pomp and circumstance associated with it was reserved for the following day. In other words, Obama just
had to make Martin Luther King, Jr. Day about him.
The State of Obama.
A State of the Union speech normally is about relating a president's public policies to conditions in the country. An Obama
State of the Union speech is about one thing: the Obama project. It would be unfair to say that everything and everyone
else in a complex world are irrelevant. But let's be clear about the priorities: Congress, the Cabinet of courtiers,
the press, the people and indeed the national problems described in that State of the Union speech — it's all brick and
mortar in the future Obama monument.
Does Anybody Care? The President
basically is not a great communicator without his teleprompter, but he's excellent in blowing his own horn, while using most non-ethical
tools at his disposal when describing his regal sense of whimsy capabilities. He's truly a legend in his own mind.
The Coming Obama Crack-Up.
There's something almost otherworldly, and not in a good way, about this man's self-absorption and his assumption that his
own wisdom is infallible and infinite. The American body politic to him is just a giant sandworm to be ridden and
controlled to effect his own exalted sense of cosmic fairness. Fortunately, James Madison, Roger Sherman, and company
created for us a constitutional system that does not easily lend itself to political messianism.
Obama Visits Wounded
Troops — With Photographer. President Obama arrived with his personal photographer earlier today at
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland to visit wounded troops.
Obama just wants to watch the
world burn. No one can continue to assert that President Obama is simply incompetent. Yes, he is indeed that. [...] But
there's more. Like The Joker, Mr. Obama wants to see the world burn. The last thing he cares about is the plight of American
families. No, the president wants to gut the Republican Party so he can win back a majority in Congress in 2014 — and
secure his legacy. And he's fully prepared to spur chaos to get what he wants.
Does President
Obama Know When To Say When? Doesn't the president get enough attention? The president is always the star of the
show. When just about any major event occurs — whether it's a downturn in the unemployment rate, a natural disaster
or some crisis overseas — much of the news media ask how it's going to play out for the president, the central actor in
our national drama. But then there are additional moments when the president injects himself into non-news contexts.
Is 'Scientist-in-Chief' Obama competing with Brain Expert Dr. Ben
Carson? If President Barack Obama is serious about pioneering a Congress-paid, $100-million mapping expedition into the
human brain, he should seek the help of celebrated brilliant brain surgeon Dr. Ben Carson. But it's far more likely that
megalomanic Obama is only jumping onto the human brain study bandwagon because that's where the increasingly popular Dr. Carson is.
By his own standards, Obama
is 'self-delusional'. I fully understand that missing a few baskets is a pretty trivial fault for the most powerful man
in the world. The problem for Obama is that he is such a phony with such highly manufactured image that his appeal is actually
quite brittle, once you get definitive evidence that he isn't what he claims to be.
Blather, Rinse, Repeat.
The guys at CBS News have a sense of humor. The Web headline on their story about President Obama's antigun speech yesterday in
Hartford, Conn., reads: "Obama on Gun Debate: 'This Isn't About Me.'" That reminded someone on Twitter of the same network's
headline from July 20, 2009: "Obama on Health Care: 'This Isn't About Me.'" Try to imagine how soul-ravishingly
tedious an Obama speech would be if it were about him. We dare you.
Michelle Obama Compares Herself to
Murdered Teenager. In a speech that addressed youth violence in Chicago, First Lady Michelle Obama compared herself to Hadiya
Pendleton, a 15-year-old girl murdered soon after attending President Obama's Second Inauguration. "Hadiya Pendleton was me, and I was her,"
said the first lady.
The Height Of Craven
Narcissism. Neither of the Obamas have any shame. The ghoulishness of using dead children as political props is bad enough, but
it also always has to be about them. Always. After ignoring Chicago for years and the river of blood it has become, they
now show up, I'm guessing because MObama wants something from them and they have to appear concerned.
Obama's Lear-Like Rage. In a Rose Garden
statement in the aftermath of his failure to persuade the Senate to move on any of his gun control proposals, the president raged,
Lear-like, against his opponents. It was a rather unpleasant mix — one part petulance and two parts anger.
Obama's Hubris Problem.
Tuesday morning, a peculiar announcement trickled out of the White House press office: President Barack Obama would be
holding a moment of silence for the victims of the Boston bombings. At the White House. By himself. No press
or other intruders allowed. Except the White House photographer. That Obama assumed Americans would want an iconic
photo of him privately mourning the victims of the bombings was emblematic of a kind of hubris that has enveloped the president
and his White House as the president commences his second term.
Obama Used Moonshot Astronaut as
Photo-Op Prop. Buzz Aldrin was the second human to walk on the moon. Yes, humans going to the moon and walking around
on it actually happened. America used to do big things like putting humans in space and achieving things that appeared to be
impossible.
The Worst President Ever. [Obama's] priority on September 11,
2012, the night in which he was informed of the attack on the Benghazi consulate in Libya, was to go to bed in order to get a good night's sleep
before flying off to Las Vegas for more fund-raising the next day, skipping his daily intelligence briefing. An American ambassador had been
killed along with three other personnel, but it did not alter his schedule.
O's split personality. Beset by growing world
disorder, a sluggish economy and big scandals at home, President Obama tried to reset his presidency last week with a long speech on national security
and terrorism. At least that's what he said the speech was about. In reality, it was — surprise — about him.
Both sides of him.
Ten
key reasons why the Obama presidency is in meltdown. [#2] The Obama presidency is imperial in style and outlook [...] It would be hard to
find a US president in recent times who has behaved in a more arrogant fashion than President Obama, and that includes Richard Nixon. The Obama White
House is routinely disdainful of criticism, sneeringly dismissive of Congressional opposition, nasty and brutish towards dissenting voices in the media, and
completely lacking in humility.
Obama Can't Be Trusted with Power.
[Scroll down] I would include as evidence to support my assertion the president's routine slander of his opponents, his serially misleading
statements (including flat-out falsehoods about the lethal attacks on the Benghazi consulate), the IRS scandal and the public signals the president
sent to that agency over the years, the unprecedented targeting of journalists by the Department of Justice and the attorney general's nasty little
habit of misleading Congress, Mr. Obama's unusually dishonest campaign against Mitt Romney, and his overall contempt for the rule of law. He
just doesn't think that rules should apply to him, that he is above all that. Those who see themselves as world-historical figures tend to
do that.
'Better Angel' Obama Incites More
Turmoil. Whenever Barack Obama "expands on [his] thoughts a little bit," America is in for an eye-opener, which is exactly
what happened when he recently crashed a press briefing to comment on the George Zimmerman trial. Exposing his true colors, the
president extended condolences to the Martin family and completely ignored the Zimmerman family, which has also endured considerable pain
during what Obama admitted was a "tragic situation." Much like Michelle personalizing the fatal shooting of Hadiya Pendleton in
Chicago, Barack Obama took the opportunity to make Trayvon Martin's death about — you guessed it — Barack Obama.
Big Lie Egomania. First and foremost, nothing pleases
Obama more than the sound of his own voice. Obama is most pleased with his voice's sound when it is lecturing the nation while talking
about the virtues of his favorite subject — himself.
The Me, Myself, and I President. Asked at his
early August press conference why there has been so little progress in getting the perpetrators of the Benghazi massacre after eleven months, Obama replied,
that these things can take time and added by way of example that "I didn't get Bin Laden in eleven months." Obama, of course, was in the White House
that day, playing cards. It was Navy Seals who put their lives on the line as they stormed the house in Abbottabad and "got" Bin Laden.
About the Syria red line that
Obama drew, he now claims it was someone else. You probably could have anticipated this. When President Obama gets in trouble,
he either has no idea about the wrongdoing (think IRS, FBI). Or it was someone else's fault. (You-know-who from Texas.) Now, we know
that the red line statement Obama made as president 381 days ago about how any Syrian use of chemical weapons "would change my calculus" wasn't
really Obama's fault. According to Obama, although it looked just like the American president standing at the little podium with no teleprompter
in the White House Briefing Room, that modest man was actually speaking on behalf of the entire world. "I didn't set a red line; the world set
a red line," Obama claims.
Reductio ad Obama. Obama loves to speak in
the first-person singular; he seems oblivious to the obnoxiousness of his habitual references (including one in today's press conference) to "my
military." But suddenly it's a matter of whether we mean what we say.
A concise overview of this subject: The Obama Purchase. Obama is a self-centered,
arrogant, and quite probably megalomaniacal and narcissistic — and possibly sociopathic — jerk.
For Obama, Everything
Is About Politics. Two minutes after the start of an event he was scheduled to headline, President Barack Obama stepped into his
limo for the 13-minute ride to the Four Seasons Hotel here. [...] That same day was the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, which
the president chose not to honor by attending a ceremony marking it.
The Problem of Selfishness. The
man is mired in self, positively suffocating in self: self-importance, self-regard, self-aggrandizement. Though one wonders how much
substance there is within the balloon of the presidential ego: This is a man who has, after all, conscientiously reduced himself to a logo
and a slogan, not a man for all seasons but a man for a single season ending in early November. [...] Whether the private Obama is a more
substantial entity is the subject of some speculation. What could it possibly mean to be lectured on selfishness by a man whose entire
career has been dedicated to no cause other than the cause of himself?
'President Latch-on' knows how to find the limelight. President
Barack Obama never even once visited the iconic Nelson Mandela while he was still alive, but count on him hogging all the limelight he can at the
freedom hero's funeral. It is a matter of public record that Obama ignored Mr. Mandela during all four years of his first term as president.
In touching tribute to
Mandela, Obama posts photo of himself watching TV. Last summer on his $100 million family tour of Africa, Barack Obama hoped for
a priceless photo op with Nelson Mandela, the ailing freedom pioneer who went from prison cell to the presidency of South Africa in one of modern
history's more remarkable national — and personal — transformations. Mandela's family suggested that wasn't going to
happen. So, the Obamas did a photo op in Mandela's former prison cell. The Obama White House hastened to post one of those on
Twitter Thursday [12/5/2013] as soon as word arrived of the icon's passing at 95.
Obama Honors Pearl
Harbor Dead with Picture of Himself. President Barack Obama's Facebook page on Saturday [12/7/2013] posted a message honoring the
dead from Pearl Harbor — accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial.
Obama Talks About Himself in Mandela
Eulogy. The president's address was devoted to Mandela's life and example. However, as in most Obama addresses, he could not
resist talking about himself.
Our Bored President. People familiar with Barack Obama's history
realize he has a very low threshold for boredom. This is a trait shared by many millennials: they bore easily, and that character flaw is one reason
employers refrain from hiring them. Yet they feel entitled to promotions as a way for others to display gratitude towards them and to give them an ego
booster shot. They want to be stimulated and entertained all the time and find work tedious and... boring.
When the Commander-in-Chief is a
narcissist. No wonder the media are pushing the Chris Christie bridge story so hard; the revelations about President Obama's
conduct in office in Robert Gates's new book are frightening.
Barack Obama: Patron
Saint of the Press. Certainly Barack Obama is incapable of saluting others without making it about himself. After Nelson
Mandela died, President Obama saluted him by sending out a picture of the President in Mandela's jail cell. Honoring the men who died
at Pearl Harbor, the president sent out a picture of himself at the USS Arizona. It was then natural to conclude that a narcissist like
that would intend to make Cory Remsburg's story about himself.
Obama, Solipsist. Solipsism.
It's a fancy word that means that the self is the only existing reality and that other entities, including other people, are representations
of one's own self and can have no independent existence. [...] It's a quality often found in narcissists, people who greatly
admire themselves — such as a presidential candidate confident that he is a better speechwriter than his speechwriters,
knows more about policy than his policy directors, and is a better political director than his political director.
The man who didn't need
Kennan. Obama has lots of confidence. It's his stock in trade. And now that we've all bought
his patented elixir and coughed it right up, what is there to say? That Barack Obama will be remembered by history
as the man who threw away the victory in Iraq, who threw away Ronald Reagan's victory in the Cold War and —
at the rate he's going — may eventually succeed in undoing Franklin's Roosevelt's victory in World
War 2? [...] The enemies of America know they are faced with the ultimate incompetent: the sort who
keeps doubling down on a losing hand because he's too vain to admit error and unable to even see he's losing.
Is
Sebelius headed under Obama's bus now? Acknowledgment from the podium. It's one of the most
powerful public tools available to any American politician. And it's free. Thank their good friend
so-and-so in front of a large crowd. It's a predictable staple of Barack Obama's repetitive rhetoric nowadays.
[...] So, it was unusually revealing Tuesday afternoon that an ebullient Obama launched his ObamaCare 'enrollment'
victory lap in the White House Rose Garden with not one single acknowledgment. He was not going to share this
self-congratulatory moment with anyone.
Inside the
Obama Frat House. I have written numerous times about Barack Obama's lack of a work
ethic. Even during his Harvard years, he was known as a slacker who just glided by on the golden
path by virtue of... well... being Barack Obama. The pattern persisted as President. He
consistently has skipped daily economic, intelligence and national security meetings; refuses to
call cabinet meetings; considers meeting with Republicans — and most Democrats — as beneath his
dignity (or so it seems); turns in his homework — (also known as the national budget) consistently
late — another example of his leadership principle in action, leading from behind; and just
generally ignored the management of his signature namesake legislation "ObamaCare" until the
problems overwhelmed him; [...]
Obama, Bergdahl
and Moral Narcissism. Moral Narcissism is an evocative term for the almost schizophrenic divide between
intentions and results now common in our culture. It doesn't matter how anything turns out as long as your
intentions are good. And, just as importantly, the only determinant of those intentions, the only one who
defines them, is you. In other words, if you propose or do something, it only matters that you feel good or
righteous about what you did or are proposing, that it makes you feel better personally.
We Were Stardust,
We Were Golden. [Scroll down] But Obama in 2008 trumped the notion of politics
as a substitute religion. He was the religion, as Mark Steyn writes in After America:
[']"Do you believe in sin?" Cathleen Falsani, the religion correspondent for the Chicago Sun-Times, asked then
Senator Obama. "Yes," he replied. "What is sin?" "Being out of alignment with my values."
That's one convenient religion: Obama worships at his own personal altar at the First Church of Himself.[']
Poll:
Obama is the least popular president since the Second World War. Here's why:
[S]omething about Obama's personality is uniquely fatiguing. Everything he says or does is all about
him. His entire presidency is a documentary in celebration of his own life and accomplishments, as
he were here on Earth not simply to defend the Constitution but to show us all how to get ahead in
business, win friends and influence people, eat, pray, and love. After six years, it's possible that
Americans are just a little bit tired of hearing about how amazing he is — an irritatingly
self-loving assertion that has the subtle disadvantage of not quite matching the facts.
Obama's
Psychological Tapestry. The president is a man who has a grandiose sense of himself, a
very strong sense of entitlement, and is, even for a politician, unusually prickly and self-pitying.
He is blind to the damage he's doing and the failures he's amassed. His self-conception — pragmatic, empirical,
non-ideological, self-reflective, willing to listen to and work with others, intellectually honest, competent at
governing — is at odds with reality. Mr. Obama is constantly projecting his own weaknesses onto his political
opponents. There are never any honest differences with Obama; he is always impugning the motives of his
critics — they put "party ahead of country" — while presenting his own motives as being as pure as the new-driven
snow. And whatever goes wrong on his watch is always the result of someone or something else. There's a kind of
impressive consistency to Obama's blame game. It never rests, and it applies to every conceivable circumstance.
'I,'
'Me,' 'My' — Obama Uses First Person Singular 199 Times in Speech Vowing Unilateral Action. Not
counting instances when he quoted a letter from a citizen or cited dialogue from a movie, President Barack Obama used the
first person singular — including the pronouns "I" and "me" and the adjective "my" — 199 times in a speech he
delivered Thursday [7/10/2014] vowing to use unilateral executive action to achieve his policy goals that Congress
would not enact through the normal, constitutional legislative process.
The
president who is uninterested in other people. The ability to read other people comes
more easily if you're interested in others, curious to learn what makes them tick. It comes harder
or not at all if you're transfixed with your image of yourself. Which seems to be the case with
Barack Obama. Not only is he not much interested in the details of public policy, as Jay Cost argues
persuasively in a recent article for the Weekly Standard. He is also, as even his admirers
concede, not much inclined to schmooze with other politicians, even his fellow Democrats. That
goes double for Republicans. [...] Obama is also known to have frosty relations with most foreign leaders.
Incapacitated
by Narcissistic Rage. An individual with narcissistic personality disorder exhibits extreme
self-importance, has a constant need for attention and admiration, is secretive and controlling, cannot
empathize with others, and has a heightened sensitivity to criticism. [...] Often, such persons see themselves
as blameless victims, projecting fault onto others. Commonly, they follow erratic paths and cause constant
conflicts. [...] And nothing the narcissist says is ever what he means. Language is simply used as a tool
for deception, and manipulation. Everything they do is for show, or only meant in the moment. That's
why everything around them seems so chaotic and confusing. Obama's vindictive and illegal use of the IRS
results from his perception that critics are enemies, seeing Republicans as a greater threat to him personally
than terrorists. When you are a narcissist, the world looks like it should approve, adore, agree and obey
you. Anything less than that seems like an assault and a narcissist feels justified in raging back at it.
Krauthammer:
Obama 'Clearly A Narcissist'. In an interview set to air Monday night [9/15/2014],
syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer unloaded on President Barack Obama, telling radio host Hugh
Hewitt that Obama is "clearly a narcissist" and "lives in a cocoon surrounded by sycophants."
"But let me just say as a layman, without invoking any expertise, Obama is clearly a narcissist in
the non-scientific use of the word," said Krauthammer. "He is so self-involved, you see it from his
rise. Here's a man who says I don't to theater, you know, I don't do that. Well, his whole run in
2008 was theater, including the Roman, the Greek columns that he had around him at his speech at the
convention in Denver."
Obama
makes light of New York traffic chaos he causes. President Barack Obama joked today
during a New York speech that he doesn't seem to have the traffic problems the city's residents are
always complaining about. 'It's actually pretty smooth for me during the week,' Obama said, after
playfully arguing that everyone in New York 'hypes' the traffic. 'I don't know what the problem
is,' he told attendees of the Clinton Global Initiative's annual meeting. 'I haven't noticed.'
Obama's Own JV Team. [Scroll down]
Obama suffers from the not uncommon defect of the intellectually able: He imagines that he is always the smartest guy in the room and
thus has trouble taking advice that does not accord with his own predilections.
Obama
Staff On Oklahoma Beheading: "We Just Can't Catch A Break Around Here.". A woman loses
her life in a horrific act of terrorism while doing nothing more unusual than showing up for work,
and Obama White House staff see the tragedy only through the narrow prism of their own diminished
political fortunes.
The
Throat-Clearing President Versus the Throat-Cutting Terrorists.
Obama's
Mixed Messages on War. It's funny how President Obama is always talking about "I" and
"me" whenever it makes him look good, but suddenly it's "they" and "we" when mistakes are made.
Obama's
Twitter: An Infomercial for Himself. More than half of the 117 tweets from the
president's account so far this fall have been about either climate change or minimum wage. He has
tweeted once about Ebola and zero times about the Islamic State.
The
Democrats are running, but President Obama won't let them hide. Yesterday
[10/20/2014], on Al Sharpton's radio show, President Obama said that even though the most vulnerable
Democratic candidates have actively avoided campaigning with him, "The bottom line is, though, these
are all folks who vote with me; they have supported my agenda in Congress. So this isn't about my
feelings being hurt. These are folks who are strong allies and supporters of me... I tell them... you do
what you need to do to win. I will be responsible for making sure that our voters turn out."
The headache this quote has caused Democrats has been widely reported, but also take note of how Obama-esque
this quote is. In five sentences he uses "I," "my" and "me" a total of six times.
Democrats
dare not speak of Obama. [Scroll down] Frustrating? Yes. But the statement captures one of Obama's
greatest flaws: He is unrelentingly self-absorbed. Even with sinking approval ratings, he still
couldn't help but make the campaign about himself. Naturally, Obama supports these Democrats that
have voted for his agenda so reliably. Still, he could have argued on their behalf in ways that kept
himself out of the equation.
'I,'
'Me,' 'My' — Obama Uses First Person Singular 91 Times in Speech on Immigration. Leaving aside passages in which he
quoted a Chicago pub owner and a letter from a citizen from Georgia, President Barack Obama used the first person singular —
including the pronouns "I" and "me" and the adjective "my" — 91 times in a speech he delivered in Chicago Tuesday [11/25/2014]
to explain his unilateral action on immigration. But as often as Obama used "I," "me" and "my" in Chicago this week, it was no match for
the speech he delivered in Austin, Texas, on July 10, when he used the first person singular 199 times.
Obama's Grand
Plan. The lame duck has plans to be a powerful player after he leaves office. He is
not done with us — not by a long shot. [...] A man so addicted to power and so intent to
extend his legacy will not retire to a lifetime of golf and well-paying speechifying. He will be a
relatively young and healthy ex-president. He has not given up his goal to fundamentally transform
America. How will he stay a political player once he has left office? He has already tipped
his hand with some of his recent actions.
Watch
Obama Refer to Himself 133 Times in a 33-Minute Speech. President Obama, speaking to
an audience of mostly young people celebrating India's Republic Day in New Delhi on Tuesday
[1/27/2015], told the crowd, "I realise that the sight of an American president as your chief guest
on Republic Day would have once seemed unimaginable. But my visit reflects the possibilities of a
new moment." He pointed out that he was the first American president to participate in the country's
Republic Day and boasted, "And I'm the first American president to come to your country twice!" The
president went on to refer to himself an astonishing 118 times in the short 33-minute speech, touching
on injustices in the United States and in his own personal life.
In
Obama's Speeches, the 'I's Have It. When President Obama gives a speech, it often
seems as though it's more about him than whatever subject he's supposed to be talking about. A
case in point comes from his 33-minute talk in India, during which Obama referred to himself 118 times.
That works out to once every 16.6 seconds. PJ Media managed to compile them all into one amusing
3-minute video. This is quite a feat, but it's not even close to a record for Obama. In a 2010 speech
on jobs and reviving the economy, Obama mentioned himself 132 times. He used the term "small business"
just eight times. Last June, Obama gave a 40-minute speech wherein he packed in 199 uses of "I," "me," or "my.".
Between
two mirrors, Obama touts health law sign-up. President Barack Obama made a comic
online video — complete with silly faces and several shots with a selfie stick —
that reminds Americans that they only have through Sunday to sign up this year for Obamacare. [...] "In
many cases, you can get health insurance for less than $100 a month," Obama said, following several
instances in which he trips up on the pronunciation of "February."
Obama the Clown.
Beclowning is unbecoming for an American President. But for Barack Obama the clown suit fits fine. Our
enemies are laughing; we are not. The past week has seen the latest manifestation of the disgraceful way Barack
Obama has acted as President. During an interview with Buzzfeed, Barack Obama mugged for the camera. His
full narcissism was on display as our selfie-obsessed president became the first American president to use one of
those selfie-sticks that have come to be increasingly banned in public spaces for their sheer obnoxiousness.
Obama
wants to turn America against Israel. As most informed Americans know by now, Barack
Obama is a man with grandiose visions of himself. According to Barack Obama, President Obama's
accomplishments have vaulted him into the pantheon of the greats: Lincoln, Roosevelt and Johnson.
His nomination victory speech marked the moment "when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began
to heal" according to, once again, Barack Obama. He was a better political director than his political
director and a better speechwriter than his speechwriters, reported... Barack Obama. The sense of grandiosity
is dangerous in any president as is the view that a president can do whatever he wants — the conception
of the presidency as held by... you guessed it... Barack Obama.
Obama's
Chicago Presidency. The full Obama cares nothing about appearances. Indeed, he feels
that such disdain magnifies his godhead, as someone absolutely immune to tradition, protocol, and
criticism. Say that he golfs too much, and he will golf even more. You object that he sermonizes on
global warming while setting records for use of Air Force One, often on a parallel track with his wife's jumbo
jet, or lectures farmers on the California drought for a few minutes on his way to hit the Palm Springs
irrigated golf courses? All that is not the disconnect, but the point.
Our Once-In-A-Lifetime
President. Obama has learned not to repeat the grandiose claims of his first-term
Cairo speech about what a difference he himself being president can make. Indeed, he's learned to
cloak his deep narcissism in a matter-of-fact pseudo-realism of the kind he displays in the Friedman
interview. But the "once-in-a-lifetime" claim is the giveaway. The claim doesn't make any sense
unless he thinks that once he, Barack Obama, is no longer president, the opportunity will be gone.
Only he, Barack Obama, can pull this off. Not Hillary Clinton or Marco Rubio a few years from
now, after the biting sanctions of 2012 have been allowed time to put more pressure on the Iranian
regime. No. It has to happen now if it's to happen at all. Because only Barack
Obama, Barack Obama truly believes, can make this historic and transformative deal happen.
'The Bride
at Every Wedding, the Corpse at Every Funeral'. As Troy Senik noted earlier, the music world lost Blues great
B.B. King yesterday [5/14/2015]. Fans around the world shared thousands of photos of the legend and videos of his
performances. Then our president did something he always seems to do when a great man or woman passes on: he
tweeted a photo of himself.
Obama's Memorial Day Ice Cream Gloat.
Why would the Dems circulate such an over-the-top, downright piggish picture on Memorial Day 2015?
Because Dems have absolutely no regard whatsoever for the sensibilities of others, family members
counted among the fallen or not. Because Democrats of the day have no taste. They have no class,
they have no couth. Being so consummately wrapped up in their me-first selves, they have nothing to
offer anyone else. They're too caught up in feathering their own nests while millions of their
American brothers and sisters struggle their way through a post-Constitutional America.
Obama,
the Jews, the Muslims, and Us. [Scroll down] His world consists of whatever he's
got on his very own mind, and he expects us all to believe whatever that may be. He does, and
he's the smartest guy in the room. Just ask him.
Obama:
People Who 'Like Being Important' Shouldn't Get Into Politics. President Obama warned
a group of fellows from the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative on Monday that people who
simply want to be famous or want to be "important" shouldn't get into politics, and that politicians
should instead focus on helping people.
The
meaning of Obama's silence. Obama remains silent because he cannot make [Katie Steinle's]
murder about himself. Obama remains silent because her murder illustrates the dilemma with one of
his schemes profoundly to transform the United States. Obama remains silent because her murder
illustrates the dilemma so indelibly. Obama remains silent because Sanchez represents the
politically incorrect illegal alien crime wave. Obama remains silent because he cannot
plausibly turn Steinle's death to his narrow political advantage. If there has ever been a
smaller man or bigger jerk than Barack Obama holding the office of president, we need to know now.
Keywords: petulant, narcissist, crybaby, anti-Semite. Obama vs. the Jews. It was his birthday
and Obama was grouchy. "It's my birthday and I'm going to be blunt," Obama told the Jewish leaders meeting with him. When they
complained that, "Words have consequences, and when they come from official sources, they can be even more dangerous," he was unapologetic.
"If you guys would back down, I would back down from some of the things I'm doing," he warned. By that he meant that if they stopped
objecting to the Iran deal, he would stop accusing critics of his nuclear sellout to Iran of being money-grubbing warmongers.
Steven Spielberg and the Temple of
Obama. Reporters Michael D. Shear and Gardiner Harris reveal the "methodical effort taking place inside and
outside the White House as the president, first lady, and a cadre of top aides map out a post-presidential infrastructure
and endowment they estimate could cost as much as $1 billion," or about as much as Obama fundraised for the 2012
campaign. This effort began in November 2012, shortly after his reelection, when the president hosted filmmaker
Steven Spielberg at the White House for a screening of Lincoln. President Obama was "spellbound," the Times
reports, as Spielberg held forth "about the use of technology to tell stories." Such technology, Spielberg went on, could
also be used to tell Obama's story — to somehow convince future Americans, against all evidence to the contrary,
that his presidency was an experience they would like to repeat.
Barack
Obama Orders Energy Companies, Conservatives to Fall in Line. Having just suggested that Obama may be deliberately
antagonizing conservatives by sounding completely arrogant, let me now hasten to add that there is no doubt that the President
is the incarnation of arrogance and self-worship. How else could a man with his track record demand submission from
energy companies and conservatives? How could he not realize how stupid he sounds? Yet here is the headline from
The Hill: "Obama to traditional energy producers: Get with the program."
Barack Obama is Paralyzed by Fear. Barack
Obama is terrified of being forgotten when his time is up. He is scared to death that losing any sort of political battle will
tarnish his name. [...] His fear of a tarnished legacy has led him to focus more on his presidential library in Chicago than ISIS.
He wants the monument to his presidency to be perfect, nevermind the actual outcome of his time in office. His final acts in
Congress are little more than cowardice of an actual legislative fight. He is scared of losing, of hurting his image, and so
he'll just sign some executive orders and call it a term.
In Twelve-Minute Speech to America on Oregon Mass
Shooting, Obama Refers to Himself 28 Times. Less than six hours after the mass shooting today in Roseburg, Ore., President Obama
called a press conference to demand new gun laws, a move he predicted would spur critics to accuse him of politicizing the issue. If
they don't accuse him of that, they might accuse him of making the tragedy about himself.
Maybe It's Time for Someone to Evaluate
Barack Obama's Fitness for Office. The president of the United States is delusional. Isn't it time he was evaluated by a
team of professionals to determine if he is fit for office? [...] Grandiose doesn't even begin to describe Obama. Remember this —
"this is the moment we will see the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal[.]" Democratic pundit and strategist Pat
Cadell called him a "raging narcissist." Dr. Charles Krauthammer, a trained psychiatrist and Pulitzer Prize winning author and pundit,
thinks Barack Obama is a narcissist.
Obama
Says He's 'Proof That Your Vote Matters'; Says US 'Better Off' Because of Him. "You know, over the last eight
years, a lot of things have happened," President Obama told a crowd in Kissimmee, Florida on Sunday. "But I can tell
you unequivocally, without a doubt, with data to back it up, that this country's a lot better off now than it was when I came
into office. "I can prove it. The numbers don't lie," Obama said. "And so, I want you to understand that
that would not have happened had it not been for the votes you made back in '08. It wouldn't have happened had in not been
for the votes back in 2012."
Obama's narcissism was well known, even before he was elected in 2008
The Audacity of
Obama: When Barack Obama won the Democratic nomination, many had high hopes that his breakthrough
would move American social consciousness forward into a post-racial era. Many thought the time had come
when candidates would be judged by their qualifications and dedication to our country, not by their race.
To see why it is impossible for Obama to play this transcending role, read his autobiography, "Dreams From My
Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance." His Dreams are obsessed with race and race conflict.
Malignant
Narcissism. Grandiosity, more than anything else, is what characterizes Obama's character and
campaign. Grandiosity is also, more than anything else, what characterizes narcissism, and Obama's narcissism
has become obvious to many. Tony Blankley refers to Obama's posturing as the "height of hubris." Jeffrey
Kuhner writes that Obama "is a self-absorbed narcissist who portrays himself as a political messiah — the
anointed one." David Limbaugh writes of the "unspeakably presumptuous extravaganzas as those [that] feted
Mr. Obama at Berlin and Invesco Field." In reference to Obama's narcissism, Charles Krauthammer asks,
"[H]as there ever been a presidential nominee with a wider gap between his estimation of himself and the sum
total of his lifetime achievements?"
The Enigma of Obama.
[Maureen] Dowd did not carry her analysis far enough. As Johnson and Vaknin and others have already
pointed out, the traits she hints at would alert a psychologist to the likelihood of narcissistic personality
disorder (NPD), whose symptoms include
• An exaggerated sense of self-importance; exaggerates achievements and talents; expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements
• Need for excessive admiration
• A sense of entitlement
• Selfishness; taking advantage of others to achieve own ends
• Lack of empathy
• Arrogant, haughty, patronizing, or contemptuous behavior or attitudes.
It is important to realize that NPD is much more dangerous than simple vanity. ... A child with NPD is bad
enough — but what if that child had the immense power of the President of the United States?
And Where Are The Witnesses To
His Ability? Barack Obama is an immensely talented man whose talents have been largely devoted
to crafting, and chronicling, his own life. Not things. Not ideas. Not institutions.
But himself. Nothing wrong or even terribly odd about that, except that he is laying claim to the job of
crafting the coming history of the United States. A leap of such audacity is odd.
The
audacity of ego: Just like the Obama girl, Obama has a crush on Obama. Barack Obama always
was a larger-than-life candidate with a healthy ego. Now he's turning into the A-Rod of politics. It's
all about him. He's giving his opponent something other than issues to attack him on: narcissism.
A convention hall isn't good enough for the presumptive Democratic nominee. He plans to deliver his
acceptance speech in the 75,000 seat stadium where the Denver Broncos play.
The Operative Term is
'Hubris'. Hubris is overweening pride, an arrogance so profound and so visible as to affront the
gods themselves. Hubris was a quality often identified with Greek tragic heroes. The hero allowed
simple human pride in his accomplishments and station to burgeon to offensive proportions, at which point the
wheels of fate began rolling.
It's the Culture,
Stupid. Obama is the one — The One! — so arrogant that he said his own
nomination would be "the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless;
this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal...." So arrogant,
too, so presumptuous, that he designed his own presidential seal.
Obama: A messiah in his own eyes.
Obama's campaign speeches reveal that he has finally convinced himself that he is, indeed, another "messiah."
Month by month, his rhetoric has grown from confident, to tyrannical. "I will issue rebate checks to help you
with the price of gasoline " he says, with no regard for what Congress might say. "I will tax the oil
company profits " as if some celestial power anointed him with the authority to impose taxes when and where
he sees fit.
Barack
Obama: Pretense galore. He barely won his own party's nomination, but his campaign designed
its own presidential seal and has "President" printed across the back of his seat on his campaign jet. And
when he told congressional Democrats "I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our
best traditions," it might be true — but what kind of person would say that about himself?
Would you?
Obama, Postmodernist.
Asked to define sin, Barack Obama replied that sin is "being out of alignment with my values." Statements
such as this have caused many people to wonder whether Obama has a God complex or is hopelessly arrogant.
For the record, sin isn't being out of alignment with your own values (if it were, Hannibal Lecter wouldn't be
a sinner because his values hold that it's OK to eat people) nor is it being out of alignment with
Obama's — unless he really is our Savior. There is, however, a third possibility. Obama
is a postmodernist.
Ego-Bama,
Swallow Some of that Pride. Perhaps Dominic Lawson, writing in the British newspaper The Independent had it
right when he recently wrote that Obama is "a man of stunning articulacy, but also stunning self-regard." Last July,
Obama explained to reporters that he would eventually overtake Hillary Rodham Clinton in the polls because "to know me is to
love me." Some months later, according to The Associated Press' Ron Fournier, he proclaimed, "Every place is Barack
Obama country once Barack Obama's been there."
Obama the Prideful: Elitism
remains the candidate's fatal flaw. Many people are noticing the high regard Obama has for himself as a defining
hallmark of the candidate and his campaign. He has proven unable to stop the flow of telling signs.
A Runaway Ego is
Barack's Blind Spot. Every political campaign has its weak spot. Every human being has his
own blind spots. In politics and war, it's those blind spots that eventually make for victory or
defeat. When an opponent discovers that weak spot, he just needs to hit it over and over again to
win. For Barack and Michelle Obama, the biggest blind spot is Ego Tripping — the
temptations of boastful grandiosity.
Alfred E. Obama is
Not Funny!! If you think that Muslims burning the Danish Mohammed Cartoons don't have a sense
of humor, you ain't seen nothin' yet. Just wait til the Political Correct Commissars catch you laughing
at Barack Obama. Mr. Obama is very easily offended, like Don Quixote, the Man of La Mancha, who
is constantly looking for the smallest slights to his egg-shell fragile ego.
Obama's lack of ordinary
modesty: Hillary Rodham Clinton never doubted for a moment that she could fashion a better health
care system from the top. That is arrogance beyond the ordinary, arrogance to the point of mad grandiosity.
It is not a rational state of mind. That is Obama's brand of arrogance as well — except that
according to Michelle Obama, Barack intends to redesign no less than America as a whole, to "restore our souls."
That sort of more-than-human belief in one's own higher power drove Lenin and the Soviet Politburo to create a
command economy that had Russian peasants starving for decades.
Something more than audacity.
Barack Obama knows about audacity. He learned it from the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, perfected it in Chicago and dazzles
Democrats from Sioux City to Skagway and smaller places between. Fresh from his triumphs with the Audacity of Hope,
he's eager to aim the Audacity of Bloviation at Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who dreams of making a Hiroshima of Tel Aviv.
Walking
on Eggshells: Is Barack Obama protected by a special suit of armor — one that
fits only African Americans? [And] is this a big enough factor, in Obama's case, to
change the nature of the campaign? Are opponents forced to pull their punches?
